The work you put in to line up nords to show the invasion force on that one city, or stage a battle between npcs wearing the ancient falmer armor to represent they were snow elves or all the other details I didn't notice is so subtle and I think underappreciated. There's a lot of work put in to make it high quality
What's more terrifying: the stories behind the Priests or the fact we slay them to death, rip off their faces and wear them or show them on a statue in our house?
Great lore video, Nate! Dragon Priest Otar reminds me a lot of King Leoric from Diablo lore. Horrible circumstances drove him to madness and he became The Skeleton King.
Valok could've been the only Dragon Priest we could engage in a conversation with. Like possibly, we could learn how he incapacitated Mirrak the first time and use some of his knowledge against our battle with Mirrak in Aporapha. Then he could've requested the Dragonborn to defeat him in battle so he knows we're the real deal
The Dragon Priests are awesome, perhaps most of all because of their masks. I have all nine (ten if you count the Wooden Mask) from vanilla and I'm wearing Konahriik, I can't wait to get the perk for tempering enchanted items. The only one I have from Solstheim is Zahkriisos, but that is going to change in the next day or so.
@@goldedrag111 Over the past year, when I did go back and play Skyrim, I managed to get all of them on Solstheim too. I'm only playing on an ancient 360 with no mods, so that's it for me.
I think I may have a tiny detail for you, u less you've covered it already: In the book Horker Attacks, it mentions a hunter named Gromm. In Oblivion, the bodyguard to one of the Dark Brotherhood targets was named Gromm.
Funny that this was the first video I saw when I opened YT. I literally just finished the dragon priest mask sidequest and got Konahrik like... ten minutes ago.
Azidal’s boots of water walking I always kept with me. But I realized they weighed too much so I gave them to my Dwarven Armored Mudcrab. But then my Creation Club stopped functioning so he disappeared and the boots went with him 😢😢😢.

Wow that was THICC man. I really liked that. I think the dragon priest that defeated mirak was the best story. Fills in why Mirak was in Mora's Part of oblivion for so long. I cant read the books well from the distance i play. So alot of lore is missed. If I had my way, they would add zoom to books. Don't know why Bethesda didn't. Hopefully es6 will.
Nate, you did it again! I really like the way you pull all the details together about each Dragon Priest. Thank you. btw on another subject, is there anything special when you finally get all the dragon shouts?
At the end of the quest "A cornered rat" and the beginning of the quest "Alduin's wall" If you run out of the ratway without Esbern and go straight to Delphine and proceed to talk to her you can get some unique dialogue, where Delphine will proceed to yell at the Dovahkiin ordering them to come back when they have Esbern with them. Also if you don't say Skyrim is a THICC game. I will have to order a shill.
Alternative ways Nate can say Skyrim is a massive game he hasn't said: Skyrim is a Thicc game. Skyrim is the Hitomi Tanaka of the video games Skyrim is a big chungus of a game Skyrim is the Motumbo of video games
I love your videos watch them all the times. Love the random encounters videos ran into the mad women on top of a snow mountain out of no where. she kept telling me master on vacation and i need to careful was hilarious encounter.
Something that's noteworthy is that the Dragon Priest Volsung is almost certainly named after a Norse legend about a family with that same name. The mythology spans generations, and part of it served as a major inspiration for Wagner's Ring Cycle. I haven't read up on anything about the priest himself, but for a real world link, it's one of the more interesting ones!
Maybe for a future video, have a list of favourite characters who are helpless in their quests unless you help them. Like Katria, the innkeeper's son in Rorikstead, that Nord whose aunt went into a tomb and he's too scared to go in after her, etc.

Like, thats awesome that you still make content like this man, definitely some of the most entertaining content on the platform. Keep em coming!
I've watched all your skyrim videos your still my favorite UA-cam channel thank you for bringing me happiness
The work you put in to line up nords to show the invasion force on that one city, or stage a battle between npcs wearing the ancient falmer armor to represent they were snow elves or all the other details I didn't notice is so subtle and I think underappreciated. There's a lot of work put in to make it high quality
You got it wrong, King Haralds men werent sent to attack Rahgot. They came across forelhost while driving out the elves.
Wait, so they were still killing off innocent Snow Elves all that time after? Damn..
This is the subject I was waiting for. I hope your content never ends
I dont mind murder
I dont mind death
But being murdered to death
Then there is gonna be a mess
Edit: thx for the likes guys 😁
Hey nate y did u remove the heart ?
U put it back but still
Salim Khusaiby you already have likes, calm down your ambition m8
Christian Scrocco ya true i needed that reality check and should be grateful of likes i am glad u opened my eyes 😁
@@salimkhusaiby1131 Umm if anyone gets murdered of course they're dead.. You... I am Morokei now di.
Did you know Sean Bean voice acted Martin Septim?
Festive Acorn And his character still dies. LOL!
@@behrjudysson6159 he makes up for it by being unkillable in Hitman
What's more terrifying: the stories behind the Priests or the fact we slay them to death, rip off their faces and wear them or show them on a statue in our house?
I created a new character just because collecting the masks is so fun for me.
thank you so much m8 for awesome videos I always enjoy them :) keep up the great work.
it's n8 not m8

“My Top 5 dragon priests, and their terrifying tales in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Storting off...”
Thanks for this one Nate!! The dragon preists were my favourite part of Skyrim.
Great lore video, Nate! Dragon Priest Otar reminds me a lot of King Leoric from Diablo lore. Horrible circumstances drove him to madness and he became The Skeleton King.
3:00 has a Draugr holding a longsword or Zweihänder as if it was an axe, lmao.
I always felt like the dragon priests didn’t get enough love, this is an amazing video! Thanks for making it :)
do something about hidden details maybe? i think it would be good :p
That battle between Vahlok and Miraak sounds epic. Meanwhile, all we got was a small and boring fight, that ended in minutes.
I have every single one.
@@goldedrag111 Over the past year, when I did go back and play Skyrim, I managed to get all of them on Solstheim too. I'm only playing on an ancient 360 with no mods, so that's it for me.
@@companylovesmisery1463 I have all of them on my 360 character. I'm going to get SSE on the PC eventually.
@@goldedrag111 I've thought of getting Skyrim on the PC, but for the moment I'm actually messing around with Morrowind on my PC.
@@companylovesmisery1463 I haven't played Morrowind yet.
Still can't belive you played Minecraft before this.
Definitely my favorite video so far. Love the dragon priest addition to Skyrim more than anything lol
You might be the first channel I actually subscribe to...the videos are cool BTW 👍
Thank you for this! Vahlok definitely deserves more love!
Just found this video series and loving it nice work nate after owning the game since xbox 360 and now finally on pc and you tell a wicked story and make me think more on how much you can miss really nice job man i look forward to watching more
Wow that was THICC man.
If you dispatch an undead priest, are you murdering them to UNDEATH?
I’ll see myself out.
Love the history! You should do more lore!
Alternative ways Nate can say Skyrim is a massive game he hasn't said:
Skyrim is a Thicc game.
Skyrim is the Hitomi Tanaka of the video games
Skyrim is a big chungus of a game
Skyrim is the Motumbo of video games
Motumbo lulz, excellent
Hitomi Tanaka wtf
Azidhal's story was more depressing than terrifying
True, but he also betrayed the Snow Elves and the other Mer who had trusted him enough to train him with their powerful Elven magics
I love your videos watch them all the times.
Love the random encounters videos ran into the mad women on top of a snow mountain out of no where.
she kept telling me master on vacation and i need to careful was hilarious encounter.
So skyrim had their own version of Jonestown
I still think Krosis is the weirdest one. Why is he just on top of a mountain? And there's no backstory for him whatsoever...
Just bested havnorak for the umteenth time and looking forward to beating the snot out of the " mad king" lol
Great video, dude. Just saying, the Dragon Priest masks was the reason I really enjoyed the game. So hard to beat but so worth it when you do.
Wait the dragon priest were supposed to be hard....I think I might have been over leveled
Yeah... Replaying now with pure mage build, double casting destruction is so op :-)
When he mentions the "innocent" women and children I immediately thought of Star Wars Episode II attack of the Clones
Not just the men but the women and the children too
I wish they made it so you could rule the dragon priests instead of killing them all.
There's probably either a mod for that or someone making a mod for that XD
This was an excellent video Nate! I love these types of videos. Keep up the amazing work.
Maybe for a future video, have a list of favourite characters who are helpless in their quests unless you help them. Like Katria, the innkeeper's son in Rorikstead, that Nord whose aunt went into a tomb and he's too scared to go in after her, etc.
It's amazing how detailed and interesting everything in this game is. Skyrim is the best game ever
