Keep in mind, with Serendipity and sankebite, you can get 4 legal uses of the jarrin root poison in a given playthrough. I'm trying to learn to mod by making a special planter that will grow one once a month, but the concept is a simulated environment. So like, it will be a fake island in a basement with artificial storms and that kind of thing, cause Astrid says it only grows on a remote island that's difficult to sail to.
I think the Ebony Mail is one of my favorite quest items, as it's got an impressive look and is quite useful if you're a heavy armor character who needs to do some sneaking. What I like more though is Auriel's Shield, but you don't get it through a quest. They're still some of the base game's best items, and the Bloodskaal Blade is also among them.
The bloodskal blade is probably my favorite weapon but because I’m usually a higher level when I go to solstheim, I never find use in it past the dungeon, it’s still a really cool weapon to have
Speaking about Arvak being useful when you're overencumbered, I remember that when Hearthfire first came out, I wanted to move from Breezehome which had been my main home for all of the base game and Dawnguard and contained all of my loot from hundreds of hours of playtime, to my newly built Lakeview Manor. I took _everything_ out of my chest in breezehome, all _9000 lbs of it,_ slowly whirlwind sprinted my way to the main gate, exited whiterun, summoned Arvak, got on him and fast traveled to Lakeview. Without Arvak, I would have either had to make several dozen trips to move all my stuff or make the excruciating, probably over an hour long trip over to Lakeview while overencumbered. Instead it took me one trip and 5 minutes. Arvak is by far one of the best thing added to thr game.
When it comes to that Jarin Root, I think that it's hilarious for you to fight Alduin or the Ebony warrior with it, they think they're going to have an amazing fight, only for you to sprinkle some fairy dust on an Iron Dagger and poke them to death
I think the reason you're able to free Arvak is because Arvak's skull is in the soul cairn and it acts sort of like a lich's phylactery in a way, his soul is bound to that skull and once you remove it from the soul cairn he's "free" from that place while still being bound to the skull outside of the soul cairn.
One of the hardest choices for me in this game is whether to choose Arvak or Shadowmere as my main mount because both of those horses are SO COOL. Also, I once summoned Arvak in Solstheim and lost Shadowmere for MONTHS! ;A; I found him again eventually, thank god, but it really bummed me out.
Similar to Arvak, what about the "Summon Arniel's Shade" spell that you get from the Winterhold College questline which also gets you Keening? Probably the most powerful summon in the game, and has 3 uses only.
2:51 "They learned that the structure was built by a, now, extinct clan of ancient Nords who worshiped Hermaeus Mora..." Why is Nate referring to himself in the 3rd person?
Mace of Molag Bal top of the list for me, especially after the reaction of people seeing it I was unable to part from it, even after making 2 Daedric maces with over 140 dmg each I just couldn`t let go of it, despite it taking half screen :) that is when i don`t cast spells because my character was a mage. The horse i put as second and the rest of your list is great too
For some perspective on bloodscall blade, I never used two handed weapons in that game until I got that sword, actual YEARS from Alts in Skyrim never once until I got that blade. Absolutely amazing weapon
If you mount a horse you can fast travel no matter how over-encumbered you are. Beast transformation plus Summon Arvak means you basically don't have to worry about carry weight in many situations.
There's a great mod (available on console) that adds 4 Argonian child merchants to the Windhelm docks. One of them sells a Jarrin Root. The stock replenishes every few days. If you have the bonus from Crimson Nirnroot quest that lets you create 2 potions from a single batch of ingredients, you could make a fair few of these nasty poisons.
@@konman10000 - No clue. Haven't tried. But they're plantable thanks to the mod MT Plants (which also makes crimson nirnroot plantable), so I don't need to. The mods you want are Argonian Hatchlings, Khajiit Caravan Kittens, and MT Plants. With those, you should be able to get as much jarrin root as you need.
Fun fact about the blood skal blade it’s one third to becoming invincible in Skyrim the other is a glitch that allows you to put on as many of one type of any neckwear you want use 5 amulets of talos and the third is the ethereal shout i the bloodskal blade is the only weapon that can attack with that shouts effect active meaning you can’t be attacked but can attack others but with the glitch you can fully decrease the reload time all you have to do is shout every now and then
For the jarrin root you just have to do the follower item duplication glitch (If you don't know what it is, it's if you have a companion/follower and tell them to pick something up, for example an iron dagger, and then just leave the area and come back later. There should be another dagger on the ground, and one where ever you put the one the follower picked up).

Actualy, Crinson Nirnroot is more Powerfull than River Betty in poisons. Another Tiny detail you missed Nate
Ph Shadow imagine crimson nirnroot MIXED with JARRIN ROOT and MAX ALCHEMY
@@5398-x8y I know xD the only five effect Poison in game uses these two ingredients and a third I can't remember right now. But still. Ultra Powerfull and high valued
Scathrtcraw or ever how its spelled on solstein plus ash spawnplus what ever you got for other one
The tiny details however arent rare at all
I think the Ebony Mail is one of my favorite quest items, as it's got an impressive look and is quite useful if you're a heavy armor character who needs to do some sneaking. What I like more though is Auriel's Shield, but you don't get it through a quest. They're still some of the base game's best items, and the Bloodskaal Blade is also among them.
Oh my, you stole J'zargo's dream of becoming archmage

Actually, you can be Medieval Carter Slade since it was him who mounted a horse. Way cooler when you think about it.
@@genkureshima9834 but he was still a Ghost Rider lol
The bloodskal blade is probably my favorite weapon but because I’m usually a higher level when I go to solstheim, I never find use in it past the dungeon, it’s still a really cool weapon to have
"It blows it's number 2 out of the water" - Nate, 2019.

@Garret Dudrik me to lol
I thought I’d seen everything in Skyrim, but I missed Arvak in the soul cairn :o
When it comes to that Jarin Root, I think that it's hilarious for you to fight Alduin or the Ebony warrior with it, they think they're going to have an amazing fight, only for you to sprinkle some fairy dust on an Iron Dagger and poke them to death
Bloodskal blade is a very nice reference to the Legend of Zelda. In most Zelda games, link can shoot beams out of his sword at full hp.
bloodskal blade can be used whilst become ethereal is active
Nate!
You finished the video, I am so proud.
I am not going to put anything else into context, you will understand :P
You have a beard? I'm not sure why but that really suprised me
"you can one-shot miraak" please don't actually do this. That fight is bugged to where it softlocks if you do too much damage too fast lol.
We all know that anyone who does this isn't a true Dragonborn.
Similar to Arvak, what about the "Summon Arniel's Shade" spell that you get from the Winterhold College questline which also gets you Keening? Probably the most powerful summon in the game, and has 3 uses only.
Dawnbreaker was a must for my Belmont build to slay Vampire filth. Probly my favorite roleplay

I love the Bloodskal Blade, I use it as an endgame weapon for two handed builds.
The Bloodskal blade is literally just the master sword when you're at full health!
I always make sure to get the sanguine rose. That thing helps my clear everything
If you mount a horse you can fast travel no matter how over-encumbered you are. Beast transformation plus Summon Arvak means you basically don't have to worry about carry weight in many situations.
I stumbled upon this channel maybe 3 days ago and I have proceeded to binge every video I can. You earned a sub, I love this content
There's an alchemy skill that lets you use a poisoned weapon twice, I always get that one before using the jarring root
Can you do the reset inventory glitch on em? 🤔 If so that's perfect for infinite roots
@@konman10000 - No clue. Haven't tried. But they're plantable thanks to the mod MT Plants (which also makes crimson nirnroot plantable), so I don't need to. I have 6 of them growing at Goldenhills Plantation. There's also a Khajiit caravan version that adds two child merchants to the caravan that visits Dawnstar. One of those kids also sells jarrin root. The mods you want are Argonian Hatchlings, Khajiit Caravan Kittens, and MT Plants. With those, you should be able to get as much jarrin root as you need.
@@hollyhartwick3832 Awesome. I'll keep those in mind for when I can get off the console versions 😅

Fun fact about the blood skal blade it’s one third to becoming invincible in Skyrim the other is a glitch that allows you to put on as many of one type of any neckwear you want use 5 amulets of talos and the third is the ethereal shout i the bloodskal blade is the only weapon that can attack with that shouts effect active meaning you can’t be attacked but can attack others but with the glitch you can fully decrease the reload time all you have to do is shout every now and then
Nate: Starts talking about Arvak
My one braincell: Immortal horse. Immortal horse. Immortal horse. Immortal horse.
Hay Nate love your vid‘s and find all of them useful or just fun to watch
What about keening? Even though it doesn't do much damage I still found it to be a cool weapon to have and it also has a unique model
It’s amazing how detailed some of these smaller quests are.
My favourite quest reward is Serana, and the mods after that are even better
I just started watching your videos recently and I'm hooked! I love how you keep this on topic, and you give us so much knowledge on (what feels like) everything we want to know about! Keep up the fantastic work man! 😁

Rather have Erandur instead of the Skull. And Arvak is the best horse in the game!
Thou shall not yearn for things, which haven't generously been given by Master Neloth!
Duplicate the jarin root by dropping it outside the gate of white run then have a follower pick it up, next tell the follower to wait there and walk inside the main gate of whiterun then turn around and walk back out, when you walk out you should find the jarin root on the ground and one should be in your followers inventory still. This can be used for a number of rare weapons and armors but save before you do this just in case.
Arvak is amazing, but the Soul Cairn itself is a giant pain!!
It is, but I did it super duper quick not too long ago. Got in and out, thing that took my the longest was finding Arvak's skull because I misremembered it being in the East, not the West.
And as for the Jarrin Root, if you have the Hearthfire DLC, and build a home with a greenhouse or garden, you can actually plant the Jarrin root. It will regrow after being picked every 48 hours. Sooo... It’s not quit a one-time use if done correctly.
