if 50Tussin is running 6's on a SBE 302, with ported flotecs and a alphbet cam, no power adder, as healthy as that engine sounds 6s should be no problem. youre only crutch will be the manual trans, it wont go as fast as it did with the glide and a brake. and youre probably looking at more parts breakage with the manual also. not tryin to kick you in the nuts, just being a realist here. its a kickass powerplant👍. i had a buddy street race a DSS 393W like that with nitrous and that car was pretty damn fast, it gave our 434w Maverick with 2 kits a decent race and we were going 8.90s at 150+ in the 1\4, both cars obviously spraying alot😁

This is awesome. You had given a hint or 2, as you kept telling us something big was coming. You could still play with stock block stuff, in either Calypso or 65 and go ahead with the 351W in Poopcoupe.

I had a pump gas 393 in a 87 gt and ran 6.90s...put some compression in and ran race gas and ran 6.50s...this was full exhaust and interior

Nice! I got about that duration @ 0.050 in my 360. It would be nice to see a bit more lobe sep (107 or so) on it, but it will get the job done

We did our first fox 351w swap in 2000. Back then nothing would touch it on the streets. It’s still a beast but these new mustangs and hellcats blow it away. I had it over 180mph on the highway one night 😬

393 will probly do 6.80s in the 1/8 no problem! Had a 393 stroker in a ranger with aod trans with 150 shot but never sprayed it. Ranger dod 6.80

Yeaaaa u might have to upgrade the tranny brew2l at least to a tremec. I recommend a tko 600 if ur keeping it manual. Especially on a slick and get a good clutch like mcleoud. Should be good to go
That's the exact same heads that I have on beans that I ported and i run my timing at 20 initial and 36 total and he runs like a raped ape. I have to take the1262 felpros ports and cut Out to the blue edge of the printo seal for them to line up perfectly with the heads, they work really good with my parts put in them. Beans is in the middle of getting a rowdier cam at the moment, its actually already in just gotta put it all back together. That 393 is gonna be a beast and I will bet once its all sorted it will run faster than a 7

not sure a solid roller lifter cam is "street", Popular Hot Rodding magazine got about 7,000 miles out of their 408 small block in the nascar chevelle before it rained bearing needles on the crankcase. But you'll be checking it, and that's easier with a carb intake than the EFI setup. 'Lot to be said for being "johnny on the spot". I've nabbed deals wondering why no one else could see what i saw.

Awesome. While this is a great deal and a great engine, I think the best thing that happened on the channel recently is that you're out driving one of the cars. At some point that's the entire reason that these cars get built, and it's good to see some real mileage even if it is only 1/8th of a mile at a time 😄

I’m guessing on motor 6.60 spraying a 200 shot 6.04
😅can't see why you don't make at least 1.7 times your head flow. That would be 510 hp. Add a 150 shot, you got 660 hp crank. About 528 wheel hp. If you are around 3200 lbs, you should be in the neighborhood of 6.69 & 102 ! Have fun !!!

Dude your gonna live that 393 … your tranny will hold up if you sponge it off the line and dont just dump the clutch at 6000 rpms your tranny should last until you can get ahold of a tkx … btw neomustangs may know a lil something bout a t5 tranny .. i know you know !!!
