Brother that Fox is sooooo super clean! Truly an OG from back in the day! Funny how a little coil can affect so much…. That’s the one thing I miss about living in the south is the southern hospitality and the good ‘ol boys just hangin and working on cars! 💯👊🏾
That car looks identical to the one that made me a car guy. Babysitter would drive me around town on her lap ( it was the 80s ). I'll never forget how it sounded and smelled. Her son still owns it to this day.
@@BREW2LFOXBODYBUT MY 87 MUSTANG GT HAS 69 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILES AND IT'S ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR EXHAUST AND MAYBE IN THE FUTURE I PLAN ON DOING HEADS AND CAMS.
I’m diddin it! I still have a 93 GT, reef on silver, completely stock. I have a ton of performance parts I could put on it, but it runs so well, I just can’t make myself mess with it.
I have the same issue. Mines a 91. Right at 100k. Have some “day 2” mods. 3.73, shifter, H-pipe, exhaust, wheels, Stifflers connectors. But the rest is all stock. Airbox, cold AC, etc etc. It runs great. I’ve got tons of new performance parts sitting new in boxes for years now. Even a 306 block with Edelbrock heads. I enjoy the car how it is. Enjoy that it’s reliable. Heck even my cruise control works perfect. Part of me just wishes I would have just put a B cam in it, just for the cool idle lump, and not purchased all the performance parts. Maybe one day I will change my mind.
if you have the facilities, maybe you can find a V8 thunderbird elan, and toss your parts on that. they ride well, tend to be well maintained, and if you get screwed up with it you still have the GT to get around in...
I love this one. Very relevant to me. My LX is bone stock. I like what you said about it feeling stock but with more power... That is what I want....some pep but with keeping a driveable cruiser that's not too crazy 😂
i call that, "runs just as fast as we thought we remember". some people find a "virgin" stocker and find she's high 14's and are shocked. as the old saying goes, "the older i get, the faster i wuz"
My Fox is an '87 LX 5.0 5spd less than 90,000 original miles. Completely stock when I got it. It's had a few things changed due to age and sitting for 26 years. I love it even though it's basically stock outside of exhaust.
I am the second owner of a 92 gt vert with 83k miles. It’s bone stock beside exhaust. Original owner bought it new in 92 drove till 95 and parked it till I got it last December. Runs and drives like a champ 😊
Like my old ‘87 LX T-top - I was second owner with under 30k miles when I got it bone stock aside from a Kenwood pullout cassette head unit! I did every mod and little by little built a solid HCI Vortech street car with T5, 3.73 gears and 16” pony wheels. Man that car turned heads and hurt egos and was a blast to drive.
Wow what a sweet car, now that's the color combination for the GT's that's my favorite, she is a head turner. The LX model would that same color blue all one color. Awesome car glad to see he kept it in his family!
When I first bought my LX in 2020 I needed a place to store it. Ultimately, when I found a place, there was 3-4 other foxbodies in the same storage facility as me! One was this super clean 90 or 91 MINT Wild Strawberry with a Wolverine cam and a set of AFR heads and a nice intake. Man what a nice car it was!
Hi Brew. I am enjoying your channel. We have the 5.0 here in Australia and it's found in our Ford Falcons but people don't generally build this engine here. I had mine built, you can see it in my videos if you wish. Have you ever considered trying out a single 3" exhaust on one of your Foxbodies? We usually run single 3'' because it's old school in Australia and because a lot the Falcons an't run twin pipes safely. I'd love to hear a Fox with a single 3''. Make it happen!
the car is 30 years old. hard to believe. looks like new. those factory wheels are fantastic. This was the end of the line for this bodystyle . in 94 they came out with that turd shaped thing and soon thereafter the 4.6 came on board. what a downer. Never liked those. I have a 91 5.0 LX that is in almost as good a shape as this one is. My 91 has 125 thousand miles and the original clutch, original fuel pump, orignal almost everything. dont drive it much anymore, but still love it. Brew has a better bedside manner than most doctors. still not running right ? dont worry, we will fix it., and then it was fixed. really good stuff.
Just starting the video, but in going to guess that it's the distributor. They're known for causing hiccups and dips in acceleration. Btw, the 17" ponies are 💪
In late 93’ when the 94’s were already on the lots with only a few fox body’s left to choose from I bought a brand new 93’ Reef Blue notchback in West Memphis, Arkansas and after a few years of owning it I sold it to a individual and then instantly regretted it… But a few weeks ago I was at my parents house digging through some old boxes in the attic and I randomly came across all the old paperwork for my car from the dealership with the VIN numbers and all which created a lot of excitement for me because I thought for sure this paperwork was long gone forever and not giving me any hopes of ever possibly locating my old car.. so if there’s anyone out there that knows how to track down an old car that you used to own I sure would appreciate any help if possible..

Hi mate , Need your help buddy in Australia .Just installed stage 1 trick flow track max on my mustang 1992 , 302 ho with the trick flow springs and comp cam timing chain dot to dot . The engine has new piston rings bone stock with stock heads , stock intake and stock flow meter . started the car man it sound just like stock like no cam !! played with timing , tps , throttle no change just sound like a stock car no chop at all . I thought might be the exhaust muffler or cats , took them off with open headers the cam is not hitting at all !!!! Once you put the spout back the computer just goes between 10 degree to 20 degree timining moving up and down . PLEASE HELP BRO . I called trick flow they said we don't really know what's going on you should here the cam its not aggressive but you should here it . There is a sticker on the computer some one might have played with it before I don't know and hezzing sound from intake manifold some times comes and goes like its going to explode like a steam cooker , once you switch off the you can still here it for few seconds and start again just disappears . I will do vaccum test just in case but does that effect the cam . And have not changed the push rods still same the motor runs good and plenty of power hits 6 k rpm easy no issues . Do I have to tune the car or to hear this damn thing !!!
Thanks for the help mate and big fan of your work excellent videos mate , I torqued them to spec should be good ,but will double check again . @@BREW2LFOXBODY
