    This is exactly the kind of content-rich 20m video I was looking for, 1-2hrs of work for a month's food prep. You toured through all the foods, leaving the details to written notes, provided your resources and products for fact-checking concerned parents. I greatly appreciate how thoughtful your content is, from title to video to notes. Thank you so much!

    An idea to add some sweetness to oatmeal is by using the water from steaming/boiling any fruit like apples for instance can be the same water you use to cook the oatmeal. It's a natural sweetener and you don't need to worry about it doing harm to your baby.

      @@blacklion5436 No problem! We do this and save the water for oatmeals or to sweeten anything else baby would eat. No granulated or any type of sugar needed.

    Food processor. I used one for both my kids. Easy as pie. Whatver we had for every meal they had the same thing too. No matter what it was. Roast mac and cheese spegetti lasagna pancakes biscuit and gravy. It all went in the food processor. ❤

    Great video! FYI - studies show that heating breastmilk beyond 110•F significantly detoriates all of its good nutrients. Adding the breast milk in just before serving is the best way to optimize all those nutrients rather than using it as a liquid to cook with.

    Really good video. Healthy and easy food. I used to do almost the same for my first daughter. She loves brocoli, rice and beans since 6 months now she is almost 3 years old and still love that.
    In 5 months I will start feeding my second daughter. One thing I didn't see was about how long is good to keep food in the refrigerator and when I did research fir my first baby it was 3 days in the fridge and 3 months in the freezer.
    Also about breast milk just added when baby will eat.

    The square silicone ice cube trays at walmart for like $4 (and somilar everywhere else) are basically 1oz portion exactly. I would freeze everything in those and pop them out as needed to make food mixes or pop them out and store them in containers if i needed more trays. Easier to know what portions and how much baby is eating.

      How do you heat from frozen pls?

    • @buffpanda527
      @buffpanda527 6 місяців тому +1

      @@lilyelias1048 just thaw or microwave in 15sec increments and mix/mash in-between each increment to avoid scalding spots in the baby food. Mix in cereal powders if using them (or formula for older baby) after its warmed up. All your food should be precooked prior to being frozen to reduce bacteria.

    Just a heads up for you and anyone else who is going to use breast milk in baby food: breast milk should never be refrozen. For example using frozen breast milk for purées then freezing those purées is not safe. Instead you could thin the purées before you serve them or you can use formula or water instead of breast milk and then freeze it 🙂

      I'm just happy someone said it because this is exactly my thoughts when this video started. It's so important to be careful with this and also the oatmeal could very well be done with boiled water and add the breast milk into the portion baby will be eating on that given day!

      actually formula shouldn't be used to freeze - you can't/shouldn't freeze formula. I just add a bit before I serve the puree, after defrosting it.

      Can you mix freshly expressed breastmilk with purees then freeze them?
