Thank you so much! I have tried to learn how to do the long tail cast on by watching several videos. For whatever reason, with your demonstration I finally got it!! 😅I am new to knitting and this stitch is perfect. Thanks again
So I answered my own question basically. After starting my own throw based on this specific pattern, I timed how long it took me to do one row. I then counted how many rows I could complete in one hour. The row count in an hour, for me, was 5. I'm guess about 40 hours to complete a throw of this size. This is the first time knitting anything this size for me. Also this is my first time with circle needles. I'm sure a more seasoned knitter could do this project with much more speed than I. Definitely enjoying this little project and getting to refine my knitting skills. I hadnt picked up my knitting needles in about 14 years. It all came back quick like riding a bike just lacking that speed I once had. Happy knitting to you all!
Sorry my comment came up using days I meant nice just to explain a little I can barely see. I lost my left die completely and dad have a boat 15% in my reggae but I love to knit I know the stitches when it’s so interesting to lift to watch someone do a straight tutorial to help you. It’s been a long time since I know and I know it will come back because of people like you, that’s what I meant. Thank you
Hi! I’m an absolute beginner here and love the way you teach!! May I ask one question? On pearl stich, you wrap the yarn around the back to front of the needle on top. What would happen if you wrap the yarn around the front to back on the front needle? I’m just finding it’s hard to get the loop when I wrap from back to front around the top needle.
What kind of yarn would you recommend that only have natural fibers? This throw is beautiful! This is my first knitting project I know nothing about yarn I wasn’t sure whether or not yarns come in different patterns or if it even matters. Sorry! I don’t know much about knitting so it’s kind of hard to figure out what I’m asking lol I hope my question made sense
Hi, came across this and I’m really excited to try. I have been just practicing and not really making anything as a beginner so I’d love to start. My circular needles are 8 and not 10 would that work ok? Thanks for this video!
8 will work! You'll likely need to add more stitches to your cast on because the smaller needles will result in your project being a bit smaller. But nothing too major ;)
What weight yarn is best for a beginner. 5 oz or 8 oz? How many rolls of 5oz or 8 oz yarn would I need for a 60 x 45 throw? How many for the free pattern with this video?
Hi, I am a first-time knitter and I love your video, I can't wait to try it out! I was wondering do you have an easy making a hat video with a pom pom?
I want to knit a throw I have never knit anything before, I found this video very helpful but I have absolutely no idea what wool I should get or how much of it can someone help me please? Thanks
According to her blog its 4 skeins of Hygge, but its the large skeins, I figure 8 or so of the 5 oz. Red heart Hygge yarn, you could also hold 2 strands of Caron latte cake yarn ass a substitute, both are super squishy fuzzy yarn
I bought the pattern from your etsy store and I want to make the full size blanket but the pattern doesn't say how long the circular needle should be. I'm assuming that the 24" mentioned here is just for the throw. I've tried to send you messages on etsy but you don't answer!
I've used Hygge to make cardigans, sweaters and blankets. If you dry in a dryer use the lowest setting or the fuzz melts off. My hubby threw our Chihuahuas sweater in the dryer on medium and it came out missing the shaggy look.

Can anyone help me? It's my first time knitting, and every time I get to my third or fourth row the pattern becomes so tight i can no longer knit it together! How do i fix this? I have tried making the loops looser to no avail, i continue to run into the same issue every time i hit the 3rd or 4th row!
That’s just a common problem for first time knitters. Same thing happened to me. It took me about a week or two to get the hang of it. Keep at it and you’ll eventually not have that problem.
@L H I fixed mine by not pulling that first cast on row so tightly. And then I practiced casting on for about a week or so until I got it. Then I made about 5 square dishcloths for practice before starting my first project. There is another option also - use 2 needles held tightly together for your cast on. Cast on semi tightly to 2 needles. Then gently slide one needle out after you have finished your cast on row. Good luck. 🧶
@@Yarnhookneedles I'm worried it'll all get bunched up and knotted and I'll get confused on what's happening lol. Could I use straight needles for this or would it not work?
Noelle Baird I see...you can totally use straight ones on this blanket! It might get tight on your needles, especially if you’re making a bigger size. I would encourage you to try circulars after some point. The only thing you need to be mindful of is making sure the cast on isn’t twisted as you’re working back n forth. I bet you’ll love them once you give them a try ☺️💕💕
@@Yarnhookneedles I'll give it a try! I made a blanket before but it was all these separate squares I stitched together to make a pattern so I didnt need anything big. I'll try the circular ones though
@@Yarnhookneedles I also had another question, how much yarn (in yards) did you use? When I go to the store, there isnt this kind of yarn but there are other kinds measured in yards

Your video is really helpful I just started and I made a beautiful throw well to me it is in my 11 year old mind
I enjoy seeing your video i don't know how knit just crochet but explain the stitch very well thank you.
Thank you for this tutorial. I just started learning how to knit and this video is really helpful.

Fantastic, very clear instructions, Thanks!
This doesn't work. My tail keeps disappearing. No matter if my tail is in the front. What am I doing wrong
really wish someone respond to this
hi! how do you change to another yarn color?
You basically just tie a really tight and small knot so it’s really unnoticeable
@@huntermullins3170 tie it to what part??
@@susanabarrios2274 to your color. Or you can just loop it in and then at the end you can weave the hanging out stuff into it
Do u need to use the circular knitting needles or can I use regular ones? I’m a beginner btw.

Where is the pattern? It says down below but I dont see a thing
Love this. Looks so rich! You are using a 10mm needle? The yarn calls for much smaller. Can you explain? Thanks.
Where is the info for the pattern?
Beautiful! Beautiful yarn! Just getting back to knitting. Should have started earlier this year.
Wonderful!
How long does it take to complete the full sized throw? I want to make one for my sister and brother inlaws wedding anniversary that is in 3 weeks.
It was good I got the first but but when it came to step 2 I just wish you showed what to do with the zig zag
Great video! I love your nail color too
Excelente!👏
Thanks for the video! Best beginner one ive found!

SUPER beginner question - what do I need the pattern for? How do I use it ? What is the best way to wash/dry this blanket?
There's no such word as irregardless. The word is regardless.
Great upload 👏👏

Okay, but now teach me how to block it so the bottoms and sides don't roll up and in😢
Super nice! Liked and subscribed !
Thanks for the sub!
If this is just stockinette stitch why doesn't it curl? I don't see any kind of border around it.
Its very beautiful.
Teresa Patton so glad you like it!
Can the hygge yarn be used for sweaters or cardigans too does anyone know?

albusandrose great question! They sell circular needles with longer cords for bigger projects. Hope that helps!

Am I the only one who casts on by just "crocheting the first row"? I am either right on the nose or i have been doing this wrong for years
