Hey scruffy! This is the earliest I’ve ever been to a video so I actually have a chance of you seeing this. I just want to say that you are my freakin hero man. You’re my biggest inspiration and the reason I’m so into music and sound design now and I really wish that more people knew about your amazing content. That’s all I wanna say, so now I guess it’s time to actually watch the video!
Scruffy is great and I vastly appreciate his content but I think In The Mix is better as he'll carefully explain how reverb, delays, distortion and many more plugins work and they're quick and easy. What would be very neat is for both In The Mix and Scruffy to collab on some sort of teaching video about music and sound.
Oh, this game sounds so CUTE. Definitely must check it out. A game that you can enjoy even while "exhausted" is... exactly what the doctor ordered, right now.
Stijn van Wakeren also composed for another indie game called UnderHero, where you play as a crony of the big bad who managed to kill the hero. It's got a wonderful soundtrack and adorable characters.
Dude! Another Gears for Breakfast game! I’m so excited. You can really see the Bee and Puppycat influence. Edit: I didn’t even know it released over half a year ago.
My only complaint about this is that it took a scruffy video for me to know about this game, definitely deserves more popularity then it's given! Excellent video as always, thank you for helping me to find this, and generally making my day that much better :)
Scuffy’s voice is so calming and pleasant to listen to, not to mention the amazing editing that makes this video just so nice to watch. I really love it
I love how well you transitioned your simple, black and white with the beautiful art style of the game. Your videos are not only a treat to the ears but also to the eyes. Good work!
I actually never really noticed the music in this game, which is weird since I’m usually really into OST’s, but I was distracted by the style, amazing visuals and surprising gameplay. Glad you could bring it to light for me.
Wow, this game looks amazing! Such a beautiful visual style, I've never seen a 3D platformer with 2D sprites like this before... There's so much POP and charm. And the _VIBESSSS_ oh my god-- Thank you for bringing this to my attention :D
if I had a penny every time I played a game with the main character called Niko I'd have two Penny's witch is not a lot but it's weird that it has happened twice
This episode was next level! High quality stuff right here, the animation to the music to the interview, everything just spot on! Keep up the awesome work!
This videos make me so happy, it makes me feel like there's so much more meaning to life and living than I realize, I honestly wish I could apprentice you. I would learn a lot about music and the world
I love these videos where you interview small indie developers! It’s so nice to hear them talk about their game. I especially like this one, seems right up my alley. Will consider buying :)
Wish I had heard of this video sooner! Here Comes Niko is my favourite game from 2021, it helped cheer me up after one of the roughest years of my life. It's a beautiful game, and seeing a video from one of my favourite UA-cam creators has made my week. Thanks to the devs for taking the time to talk to Scruffy about this, and thanks to Scruffy for making a video about it!
This reminded me of the game I'm playing through right now called Webbed. You play as a spider and you can swing and make webs with virtually no limits. there is no combat, just simple and intuitive puzzles and movement. It's the most genuine fun I've had in a long time, and I think you'd like it too.
I am actually learning a lot about sounds and music from scruffy He makes people interested in the topic while not missing the point he is trying to bring out
i gifted this game to a friend who's been having it rough, and ive heard nothing but good from them over this game, and now my favorite channel is covering it! i made sure to share this video with them :)
I really liked this video! It's comforting that the the number of things you can theoretically do to have something of yours appeal and be more enjoyable to, well virtually everyone in a project's audience.
The whole frog trumpet makes me think of two situations in other games: -We hear the Luigi’s Mansion Theme, while Luigi only sings part of it -We hear the Mario Wii Music, the Enemies hear the “bop, bop, bop bop” that plays every few moments
Man scruffy, you are an incredible personality. I’ve been a fan since your pikmin sound trivia videos all the way back in 2017 and I love to see how far you’ve come. All your what I love videos are incredible and I anticipate them with glee. I love your stuff and I can’t wait to see where you go from here.
Just added this to my wishlist. Can't pay for it just yet but one day I hope to get it and have some fun in a soothing environment. Thanks for showing this awesome game off, it looks super cool!
i genuinely don't know how to feel about Niko. the game is great but the overall mood makes me... yearn for something. i tear up out of memories that aren't my own but gods, i wish they were
I have to check this game out! I love these videos where you talk to people who have worked on the games! Also, I love the Goat Motif extending from What Makes Mario Music Catchy, through the A Short Hike video to here. They're adorable!
I've been home sick with a bad cold all week. This video was such a balm to the soul, so I can't imagine how much more so the game is. My husband and I will absolutely have to get this!
i love this, i have watched and loved your previous videos and i have no idea how i have not subscrubed until now lol, great work scruffy keep it up, keep making people smile
Nothing better than Scruffy getting me interested in a game I’ve never heard of in my life
Didn’t expect you here lol
Yep same with all of us
Overliked comment because of checkmark incoming..

Scruffy needs to see this
I feel the same.
Scruffy is the music teacher everyone wishes they had
i can attest to this i had a music teacher like him and it was incredible
but theres no music theory in this video
@@borgir9817 I'm aware. :) But my point stands.
Yep

Yeah so many games I buy I end up barely playing because I get burned out of it quickly for some reason
It’s not just his soft calm voice, but the editing with the smooth transitions is a relaxing experience that just earned you a subscriber
Been watching him for a long time now. Always a joy to sit down and see his laid-back analysis videos
and, like, you arent even subscribed!? like how did you even do that!
@@floonmeeple2371 shoutouts to simpleflips

I really like how Scruffy made his own design for himself when he's in an animal game :)
The goat form is a reference to "what makes Mario music so catchy?" Vid
I still love how your character always relates to your initial artstule of a dark canvas and white lines. Very nice detail and unique.
Stijn van Wakeren also composed for another indie game called UnderHero, where you play as a crony of the big bad who managed to kill the hero. It's got a wonderful soundtrack and adorable characters.
You're the best fit to make videos about games like this and A Short Hike. You've got the perfect vibe and video creation style!
You had me hooked at “Frogvibes”
It’s a good day when Scruffy posts
Truth has been spoken
At 1:10 it finally clicked. You're THE GOAT. THAT'S WHY YOU"RE CALLED SCRUFFY!
I love how when you talks about games with animal characters, you become a monochrome goat!
1:08 omg, I didn't know I needed goat Scruffy in my life!
Dude! Another Gears for Breakfast game! I’m so excited. You can really see the Bee and Puppycat influence.
Edit: I didn’t even know it released over half a year ago.
i’ve been at the point where i’m watching these even if i dont know the game cuz i love scruffy’s style and design theory
My only complaint about this is that it took a scruffy video for me to know about this game, definitely deserves more popularity then it's given!
Excellent video as always, thank you for helping me to find this, and generally making my day that much better :)
I loved when I first played this game a month ago and I'm really happy someone is talking about it.
What a name, Frogvibes
It’s godly
Scuffy’s voice is so calming and pleasant to listen to, not to mention the amazing editing that makes this video just so nice to watch. I really love it
You had me at the absolute beginning, I need this game
I love how well you transitioned your simple, black and white with the beautiful art style of the game. Your videos are not only a treat to the ears but also to the eyes. Good work!
It's weird and wonderful... watching Scruffy videos just make me feel invested and happy.
The cutest and most relaxing interview I've ever seen, I love the goat Scruffy.
I actually never really noticed the music in this game, which is weird since I’m usually really into OST’s, but I was distracted by the style, amazing visuals and surprising gameplay. Glad you could bring it to light for me.

Imagine if scruffy covers Oneshot, which also has a main character named Niko
Scruffy has the best vibes. They are amazing, and I adore how they oth use music, conversation, and visuals to create a soft and downright fluffy vibe
if I had a penny every time I played a game with the main character called Niko I'd have two Penny's witch is not a lot but it's weird that it has happened twice
The passion in these videos truly is infectious. Another job well done, and i greatly look forward to the next one. :^)
This episode was next level! High quality stuff right here, the animation to the music to the interview, everything just spot on! Keep up the awesome work!
thank you for showing me that this game exists, i'm really excited to play it now; i'm positive i'm gonna love it
This videos make me so happy, it makes me feel like there's so much more meaning to life and living than I realize, I honestly wish I could apprentice you. I would learn a lot about music and the world

Thank you for making this! Absolutetly loved this type of interview
I like how Scruffy's character for themself changes depending on the topic
So glad you got to interview these guys! I love their game!
Incredible! This was such a lovely video. I had not heard about the game before, but now I want to check it out.
Speedruners when the game doesn't have a timer: "fine, I'll do it myself"
This was my favorite game of last year, so seeing someone actually talk about it is really nice.
Scruffy is a goat dad today
I want to play this game but I'm so scared that I'm gonna cry from how comfy and charming this game sounds 🤣
Wish I had heard of this video sooner! Here Comes Niko is my favourite game from 2021, it helped cheer me up after one of the roughest years of my life. It's a beautiful game, and seeing a video from one of my favourite UA-cam creators has made my week. my favorite part of this game is finding the handsome frog in each level

Don't think we didn't notice that one note change. I heard that.
This reminded me of the game I'm playing through right now called Webbed. You play as a spider and you can swing and make webs with virtually no limits. there is no combat, just simple and intuitive puzzles and movement. It's the most genuine fun I've had in a long time, and I think you'd like it too.
There must be so many musical references to the game in this video that I just don’t know of.
I got this on Switch and it's one of my new favorite comfort games, I love it so much
The characters are super adorable! I like that your interviews have animated avatars for everyone.
Scruffy goat is very cute. Also, Frog Vibes is an excellent name for a game studio
I'll probably check this game out in the future
more heres comes niko videos = more happi
also i love how hearing Melissa say "Yeah!" reminded me of the ingame voices
I am actually learning a lot about sounds and music from scruffy
He makes people interested in the topic while not missing the point he is trying to bring out
Scruffy could teach a jellyfish how to fly and he would be good at it
8:12 aghh i love bea and puppycat!!! so cool they used it as inspiration
i'll always be impressed by the incredible visuals of this channel
i gifted this game to a friend who's been having it rough, and ive heard nothing but good from them over this game, and now my favorite channel is covering it! i made sure to share this video with them :)
Love that the moment i heard the guy being interviewed talk for a while i noticed he's Dutch from his accent xD
Another amazing video. I would absolutely love to learn all the intricacies you know about music, Scruffy. Please keep up the great work :)
I really liked this video! It's comforting that the the number of things you can theoretically do to have something of yours appeal and be more enjoyable to, well virtually everyone in a project's audience.
i love this little cozy corner of youtube
Whoa, the dynamic music of the video at the start is awesome!
The whole frog trumpet makes me think of two situations in other games:
-We hear the Luigi’s Mansion Theme, while Luigi only sings part of it
-We hear the Mario Wii Music, the Enemies hear the “bop, bop, bop bop” that plays every few moments
i love the little jingle at the beginning and end of every one of your essay videos. thank you for making videos :D
I love how this game is like paper Mario and the origami king where there’s a 3D worlds mixed with 2D characters

Oh man I love this game so much I'm glad people are spreading the word about it
ive had this game on my radar for a long time and have meant to pick it up, i really hope this video helps give it the attention it deserves.
The intro just reminded of A Short Hike, though that game has a stamina and elevation system.
this game is so special to me, im so glad to see one of my favorite youtubers talk about it :D
Man, even this video is relaxing, if just a snippet of the game can put me at ease, imagine how great the actual game is!
This game is an underrated gem
I loved this video! Doing one of these interviews or analyses for Outer Wilds would be amazing.
The Sound design inspired me so much! Awesome game!
I remember playing this game back in 2021
Love your content its so high quality
Production quality is always on point. Replicating the game’s art style was especially neat
I saw Niko in a Demon Turf easter egg a day ago
