- This vlog discussion is about my visit to Kaohsiung City during my Taiwan trip (KHH1). I caught the high speed rail from Kaohsiung City to Tainan City and I arrived in about 30 minutes. I spent some of time exchanging money and in the evening I visited the Dome of Light, Love River and Pier 2. I was instantly blown away from the beauty of Kaohsiung City and the sunset was among the best I've seen! As the sun was setting I saw the most beautiful colors on the skyline. I have seen alot of cities in my life but I must say that Kaohsiung City, really did impress me! What do you think about Kaohsiung City? Love River used to be so dirty and polluted that you can smell it a mile away! But through the hard work and perseverance of the people and government of Kaohsiung, the river has been cleaned up and even safe to swim in it!

Very nice! Modern city on the river with good feng shui. It makes a difference how you lay out your city. Just look at beautiful Sydney around the harbour. Take note Melbourne! 😁

I loved all the cities in Taiwan. Kaohsiung just seemed to have the edge on scenic spaces especially with the river and port 👍🏼

Kaohsiong used to be a heavily polluted, messy, crowded, and neglected industrial city. Without a series of DPP mayors', with a 2-year gap, dedication in revitalization of the city, Kaohsiong wouldn't be as beautiful and modern as it is today. As a resident of Taipei, I am so happy for Kaohsiong.
Thanks for the valuable information. The dedication of the Kaohsiung authorities to clean up the city has worked. As I toured Love River and the Pier area it was really clean, modern and safe. Just as good as Southbank in my hometown of Melbourne. You can see what I mean in my recent Melbourne videos. Great work to everybody in Taiwan 👏🏼
