Wow just wow! I cannot believe this. This village is frozen in time. It should be preserved to capture KL history
It will be interesting to see what comes of this village in the future. It’s definitely an enjoyable experience when you visit 👍🏼
Apa yang wow sangat? Kampung buruk mcm dekat Philippines
@@ViolentCabbage-ym7koTak sama.
Thank you for showing us this beautiful village. I quite enjoyed the video. I hope they preserve this village
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Stay tuned for more Hussmeister adventures from this fascinating city of KL ☺️
New World, Old World & HereAfter World…😊
3 in 1
Thank you for sharing…lovely😊
Hello there 👋🏼 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s a contrast of the many worlds we live in ☺️
@@hussmeisterYes you’re right! Kuala Lumpur ‘title’ is City of Contrasts
Isn’t this just the best kampung ever? ❤😊
They even have a soccer team Kampung United ⚽️
What makes this old kampung the best?
Great video mate - you are a real local now , so close to the towers and so local - very well narrated my friend - Hello from Danang Vietnam 🇻🇳 ✌️👌👍😃👋🙏
Hey there my friend 👋🏼 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Note this place down on your next visit to KL. I hope you are enjoying Vietnam and have a Pho and Banh Mi for me ☺️✌️
I hope they preserve the village.
Time will tell all ✌️
Saloma Bridge named after the famous Malay singer actor, Saloma. The cemetery next to it is where she was buried. Kampung Baru is Malay/Melayu heritage most of its residents still want to preserve it although they been offered a fortune for the lands.
Hello friend 👋🏼 thank you for the great information about Saloma Bridge. I’ll look in to that 👍🏼 It will be interesting to see what comes of Kampung Baru in the coming years.
wife of P. Ramlee, if I remember well...
Just magic at night! Those lights are enchanting. Nicely captured Sam. 😎✌🏻
They have done a great job with the bridge and the lights all the way to the Petronas Towers. Very busy as well but worth the visit ✌️
Kampung Baru actually means New Village. Maybe it was once haha
Hello friend 👋🏼 You raise a good point. It’s a new village from the old world ☺️
Landscape cty in KL look beautiful diversity amazing resto-streets food city too Malaysia trully Asia terima kasih-thx for share this video salan ❤ menyapa to you all ftom Jkrta
Salam my friend 👋🏼 thank you for your kind words from lovely Jakarta. I hope to visit beautiful Indonesia soon 🙏🏽
Back to the future😊
😂Good call! That’s also my favorite movie 👍🏼
Kampung Baru folks dont want to sell. They like it that way. They dont need the money because a lot of them are already well off.
Hello friend 👋🏼 It looks like they live a great life in the kampung. Very peaceful and they have the best of the old and new worlds. If I lived there I wouldn’t sell either ☺️
@@hussmeister Besides, it's ancestral land and each plot is inherited by many people. Not all agree on selling. You need 100% consensus before you can sell.
Not sure how much longer it will stand. All millionaires there.
It’s an interesting perspective. Maybe the people are just happy being in the centre of KL and they wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
The earliest Malay village (the origin of Kuala Lumpur) at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak river has been wiped out by the colonial administrators. The British built the administration office buildings there.
Hello friend 👋🏼 alot of cities face the hard decision of modernising their cities or falling behind. It really is a fine balance of preserving the old with the new. It would be nice if Kampung Baru is preserved
Dari KL ke Indonesia maka anda akan menemukan banyak keunikan budaya bahasa tempat eksotis serta keramahan penduduknya.......❤❤
Hello kawan 👋🏼 Ya anda betul. Saya menikmati budaya indah yang saya lihat di Indonesia dan Malaysia
Terima Kasih mister.......
Thanks Serkan for this other video of KL!!!! I remember the day we've been there together (I see my ugly face at minute 11:20 ahahaha) and.... wow.... once again you pictured perfectly another amazing spot of this colourful town :)
It was agreat day amigo. I still remember the nice weather, your great company and the amazing places we saw in the Kampung. ☺️✌️
Well done sir, l'm so impressed n enjoyed 🎉🎉🎉,...so unic view
Hello kawan 👋🏼 Terima kasih. I had a great time. I’m happy you enjoyed the video ☺️🙏🏽
Thanks for the insight man. I enjoyed ur take on this Kampong Baru. During my early yesrs I rented an apartment there while working in KL . Currently I'm retired and living with my family in our home Petaling Jaya. We do make trips to Kg Baru every other month for food and also to soak in the atmosphere there.
Hello friend 👋🏼 Thank you for sharing your Kampung Baru experience. I’m not Malaysian but I feel it is a special place. I like seeing the past preserved for future generations as I think it can enrich people by having access to what life was like. I know this might not be everybody’s opinion but that’s ok. I’m hlad you enjoyed the video and I hope you are enjoying Petaling Jaya ☺️🙏🏽
Cendol is pronounced as cendol, not sendol. The green pasta is cendol
Salam 👋🏼 thank you for the correction. When we don’t see a ‘ch’ we tend to pronounce it as ‘s’ in English. I promise to pronounce it properly in the future. Thank you ☺️
@@hussmeister you're welcome
Just wow wow
Yummy durian 🤢
Your favorite fruit
Well in the West they have what is called" The Last of the Mohicans" while in the East its called "The Last of the Kampung Beru" and its still in existence🙄
Hello friend 👋🏼 I hope it continues to live on ✌️
I almost expected to see rickshaws and horse and carriages in the kampur. Yes how long before development rears its ugly head.
I saw alot of Mercedes and SUV’s in the village ☺️
I prefer not to add anything into my cendol. Just pure cendol.
You have probably eaten the many variations of Cendol and you enjoy the plain version. I never knew there was soo many variations of Cendol.
People living here are millionaire because the land cost million of dollars if developer want to develop this village...
The village is definitely in a great location. They are very lucky to live in such a great place ☺️
Welcome to Malaysia's shanty town where the poor resides
They may not be so poor if they sell their houses to developers
@@hussmeisterThat's a big if. It will still be a run down village 10 years from now
Not poor. All super rich. That’s why they all keep playing the hard to get game. If they are poor all would had sold their lands to developers in seconds. They are bidding their time waiting for the right price. Almost all own condos or properties elsewhere. They just love to relive their childhood living in their parent’s homes
They are super rich...you are poor..😏
@@greenyellow1200 yeah whatever
malaysia such a typical 3rd world country, it is a developing country
Malaysia is definitely on the path to be a leading country. I see alot of positive developments there 👍🏼
