I always wanted to know why during Robert's reign did he share the lannister banner??. I mean I know that most great houses married other great houses but they never shared the banner.? Or am I trippin and that was during Joffrey reign.?
The Iron Islanders fortune with Westeros depends on how much they try to incorporate themselves with the mainlanders. They seemingly prosper if they identify and trade with the Westerosi but in war they unite the Iron Throne against them. It’s like a vicious back-and-forth game.
I don't see why Robert should have spared Balon's life. If I remember correctly, Stannis tells Robert he should kill Balon, but Ned speaks up and says he should spare him.
that's right , Balon lived thanks to Eddard thinking that as long as his only heir( Theon) is hostage, Balon will not rebel again which proved correct until Robb decided to send Theon back home and then they invaded the north capturing Winterfell killing seemingly his brothers ( Brandon and Rickon stark)
After all Robert was not a cruel man in most cases (when it was not against the Targaryans, of course), and could convinced to show mercy. Maybe he just not WANTED to look like Aerys and end a noble line. A lord is a lord and even if he rebells, many kings do not exterminate a noble line easily.

nice video. But for me the Greyjoy Rebellion was always a downright stupid enterprise. Yo do not rebell against a whole continent, when your Overlord has no other rebellion or serious crisis to be worried. Like during the War of the five Kings, Balon obviously did never know how much he could actually chew down...
Must the GoT TV show likenesses be used? I assume this is a canon-based explanation? Robert’s generation were not even 35 by the time these events roll around to my recollection. And all the kids were much younger than depicted in the show. There’s plenty of official art on what these people should look like.
if there is to be a prequel show it should be about the rebellion. there are several reasons, firstly it ocurrs close enough to the events of the original show not to feel foreign to that viewing experience there were no dragons , no white walkers and no or at least very little magic. "BuT DrAgOnS aRe CoOl" NO because it wasn't a show about dragons, neither was it a show about surviving a zombie apocalypse. it was a show about high court politics and the results thereoff set in a fictional but by historical events, characters and places-inspired world. anything could happen, anyone could die and because of it we were at the edge of our seats. Robert's rebellion allows for that same feeling despite everyone knowing how it ends. for the blanks you simply ask george rr martin to fill them in. something very important is that you have the same build up as early got, small sections of each episode following spread out characters, that way you can't really get bored (remember the Bran sections) the next point is one that people may get angry for but here it is, do not treat westeros (which represents medieval Britain/Europe+-) like the modern day US, if you introduce non european characters you do it in a lore friendly way, (for instance you can have a mercenary company from Essos/summer isles/...) no forced diversity, (velarions) they could begin the show earlier, a season of buildup, the duskendale uprising, the tourney at Harrenhall, dynamic between Peter Bailish and the Tullies, Jaime becoming a kingsguard, Tywin being hand of the king (for Tywin you either need the same actor with make up and hair dye or you need a superbly capable younger actor with the same amount of "gravitas") (many things could be padded by george rr martin) I would actually propose that a rudimentary novelised backstory is written and based on that a script is made up. lore is key, people care about that, often far more than even the author would, the rules, the boundaries the historical basis, these things make it fun, make it relateable.

You didn’t mention the sea stone chair, the high seat of the iron islands, found there by the first settlers, made of oily black stone constructed to look like a kraken. Makes one think of Asshai… wonder if there could be a connection 🤔
This animation alone should be the basis for a total war Westeros standalone game
I always wanted to know why during Robert's reign did he share the lannister banner??. I mean I know that most great houses married other great houses but they never shared the banner.? Or am I trippin and that was during Joffrey reign.?
Hey where did you get your Westeros Map? I’m making a tabletop..
Made it in-house
I think that you should talk about the black fire rebellions.
Great video, thank you 🌮❤️
Are you going to do Aegons conquest of Westeros?
I'd love it
Please cover the Exosquad
The Iron Islanders fortune with Westeros depends on how much they try to incorporate themselves with the mainlanders. They seemingly prosper if they identify and trade with the Westerosi but in war they unite the Iron Throne against them. It’s like a vicious back-and-forth game.
What is dead may never die!
But rises again harder and stronger
Still waiting for that red guard video
Both an explanation from yakudan sword saints to Cyrus rebellion
Love it!! Give us more!
Had been a long time about the last episode about got i forget
Please do videos on the war of the red diamond and the wars of Cameron the usurper
very entertaining as usual
please do some star wars and star trek battle video
I just wish got series started with this.
I like the documentary format. But why don't you upload some live footage? Thanks 👍
They were a menace on the sea for centuries until they met Stannis Baratheon. What a chad
I suggest the battle of Antarctica (Stargate Sg-1)
Great work, looking forward to more in this series
I'm going to be honest, I'd not use the 3D images that you're currently using, it's a massive step down even from the drawn style of your main channel. Otherwise I am madly in love with the channel and what you're doing, and I'll continue to support, it's just a bit of feedback!
No war of the penny king video before the GoT storyline?
Good stuff!
Could you please do a video on the Battle of Autobot City?
Could you cover either the First or Second Battle of Reach in Halo
i would love to see some legend of the galactic heros videos
Harrenhal is such a stupid location to place a castle if you're a naval power. No way to reinforce it or supply it. I'd say they deserved what they got.
"Three remarkably blonde children"
Lmaooooo what are you doing step-twin brother??
Lmao was searching for this...
Can y'all do Eragon next?
@wizardsandwarriors PLEASE DO WHEEL OF TIME BATTLES
After the big war, the people and lords just wanted peace.
The greykoys essentially kicked a hornets nest...
If you are taking ideas and suggestions for future videos, perhaps you can do some battle / war videos for the Blights in Dragon Age. There are some epic battles in the history of those games that left the land scarred and ruined.
Thank you!
Great video like always.
But u lack the content about the dune.
nice video. But for me the Greyjoy Rebellion was always a downright stupid enterprise. Yo do not rebell against a whole continent, when your Overlord has no other rebellion or serious crisis to be worried. Like during the War of the five Kings, Balon obviously did never know how much he could actually chew down...
What is dead may never die, poor Theon
Any chance we could get a series on Stargate?
my king we should do this and this
robert : yes stanis should do it
STANNIS! STANNIS! STANNIS!
Thank youuu
For some reason I don’t have a problem with going open season on the ironborn
Don't see why no one (Except Ramsay) ever did. They're useless moronic raiders that have only been a thorn in everyone's side.
Great stock
Must the GoT TV show likenesses be used? I assume this is a canon-based explanation? Robert’s generation were not even 35 by the time these events roll around to my recollection. And all the kids were much younger than depicted in the show. There’s plenty of official art on what these people should look like.
if there is to be a prequel show it should be about the rebellion.
there are several reasons, firstly it ocurrs close enough to the events of the original show not to feel foreign to that viewing experience
there were no dragons , no white walkers and no or at least very little magic.
Robert's rebellion allows for that same feeling despite everyone knowing how it ends. for the blanks you simply ask george rr martin to fill them in.
something very important is that you have the same build up as early got, small sections of each episode following spread out characters, that way you can't really get bored (remember the Bran sections)
the next point is one that people may get angry for but here it is, do not treat westeros (which represents medieval Britain/Europe+-) like the modern day US, if you introduce non european characters you do it in a lore friendly way, (for instance you can have a mercenary company from Essos/summer isles/...) no forced diversity, (velarions)
they could begin the show earlier, a season of buildup, the duskendale uprising, the tourney at Harrenhall, dynamic between Peter Bailish and the Tullies, Jaime becoming a kingsguard, Tywin being hand of the king (for Tywin you either need the same actor with make up and hair dye or you need a superbly capable younger actor with the same amount of "gravitas")
(many things could be padded by george rr martin)
I would actually propose that a rudimentary novelised backstory is written and based on that a script is made up.
lore is key, people care about that, often far more than even the author would, the rules, the boundaries the historical basis, these things make it fun, make it relateable.
Finally some game of thrones action oh boy it time bust open a jug of maple milk and the trader Joe's JoJo's now it's good time
i didnt know david mitchell narrated thrones stuff
The humans of Game of Thrones have had literacy and everything for thousands of years yet still haven’t figured out Basic 1700 technology??
Will we ever see a modern 1940’s style Game of Empires
Do you think people in Ancient Egypt couldn’t read?
