Was saddened when I clicked on the video and realized this wasn’t going to be about the Stephan Wario greentext. I will say though, this video is amazing and well researched.
Fitting with the quirkiness of Wario Land I do miss when you would go to a game manual or other side media and it would tell you all this weird trivia or bizzare happens about the characters and world. It's charming. Plus there would be cool designs like the Pokemon manual being a trainer's guide and the dk64 one being written by Cranky and the whole style of the dktv website. These facts are alright, but the real hard hitting lore can be found in "Wario's Warehouse", an official article series where Wario and Waluigi share cheats and tricks for video games, as well as information about the video games. Apparently they steal cheats directly from Nintendo's headquarters. Also, Wario apparently once had Waluigi enter a beauty contest for some quick cash, but it turned out to be a dog show. Waluigi did it anyway and ended up in the hospital because of it. Also, Wario wanted to make Waluigi smarter, so he tried teaching Waluigi to play chess. The first big challenge was getting Waluigi to tell the difference between the black and white pieces, then he tried to eat the pawns, but eventually he made progress when he "learned to tie his shoes". Some of the articles are absolutely hilarious and it's a shame they're so obscure.

We can't just go around making shit up about Wario like we're at elementary school. It is debated through the question of epistemology as to whether we can ever truly know Wario completely. What is knowledge? Can human beings absorb all of knowledge, or only a few facts, barely? Work like yours brings us closer to solving the Mysteries of Wario.

I like to imagine that the reason Wario has HP in Wario Land 4 is actually because that's just his tolerance for the current situation. If he gets inconvenienced enough times he just yells out in frustration and nopes out of there.

This makes me appreciate Wario as a character more. Wario has been tainted in my mind as a "Meme Character" while also having some amazing games. While he hasn't been as fleshed out recently, I can appreciate what Nintendo tried with the character.

I think it's really important for you to know that your work here is extremely valuable. Wario related academia is crucial for the survival of the human race. We can't just go around making shit up about Wario like we're at elementary school. It is debated through the question of epistemology as to whether we can ever truly know Wario completely. What is knowledge? Can human beings absorb all of knowledge, or only a few facts, barely? Work like yours brings us closer to solving the Mysteries of Wario.
