I thought of an idea for a Wario Land sequel where the plot could involve Waluigi getting a job at WarioWare only for the place to blow up. Now, Wario, Waluigi, and the rest of the WarioWare employees go on an adventure to confront the baddie to get revenge along with getting some treasure along the way as to pay for the medical bills and a new building.

Wario Land 4 and Wario World are such good games. Those were the ones for him that we played to pieces as kids. And yes, the levels in Wario World are incessantly long.
No mention of Wario Land Shake It or that his original costume is in smash is kinda wild. And if you want to talk about an identity crisis, Master of Disguise had so many different Wario transformations that the jokes write themselves
Wario is my favorite video game character of all time. For one, I like his design; I have an affinity for big, burly characters, especially goofy-looking ones, and that's Wario in a nutshell. I also really like how he's basically Mario but with his features exaggerated, to emphasize how he's the "anti-Mario". For another, I like how Wairo and his games are allowed to be weird and unique in ways Mario games typically aren't allowed to be. Mario has had some weird, even crazy titles, but those are usually reserved for spin-offs (or at least they used to be), while Wario's games seem to be weird by default. The free boundaries when it comes to what Wario is or "supposed to be" allows for a lot of creativity and imaginative stuff, in regards to the gameplay, visuals, music, and level design. But the thing I love and appreciate most about Wario is that he's an incredibly versatile character. This video opens up with the seeming "contradiction" of Wario being very much like Mario only to suddenly be seen as a biker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, from the perspective of someone only familiar with Wario through Mario spin-offs, and then goes into how his character "fluctuates" depending on the game, but honestly, with the possible exception of his role in Subspace Emissary, Wario has never really felt out-of-character in any of his appearances. Over time, his personality has been built up and refined to emphasis two things: greed and selfishness. What drives the plot in all Wario games is Wario's desire for things, usually money and treasure, or to get revenge against someone, typically for taking his stuff or treasure. He took over Mario's castle (which I guess he has, apparently) out of jealousy, sure, but it's his desire to have a castle of his own that motivates him to doing what he did in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. Wario helps the Hidden Figure collect the Five Music Boxes in Wario Land 3, but only after the Hidden Figure says he can keep whatever treasure he finds along the way. The Merfle thinks Wario is helping him to free Queen Merelda from the Shake King, but he's clearly more interested in getting the Bottomless Coin Sack. Even with the WarioWare games, the only reason he starts up his own video game company is because he's looking to score some easy cash, hence why he calls his friends to do most of the work. Even the more crude aspects of Wario's personality have basically always been there. While I admit, I'm not a fan of how more recent games and ESPECIALLY Super Smash Bros. tend to emphasis the toilet humor and him farting over anything else about that, it's not like he was a clean character before this. He picks his nose, scratches his butt, drools while he sleeps. Again, Wario is allowed to be things Mario typically isn't, and that includes being a little gross every now and then... even if I would REALLY like Nintendo to stop acting like Wario is only one big fart joke. All-in-all, there's a lot to like about Wario, and I wish more people would see that. I legit watched someone play Wario Land 4 for the first time, and they were shocked because, in their own words, they only knew Wario as "that guy from the Mario games who farts", and that frustrates me so much. There is so much potential with this character and Nintendo is in a position where they're focusing on bigger, "safer" projects and don't really have time to make the smaller, more off-beat titles they used to make. I legit can't imagine anyone within Nintendo actually wanting to make another Wario Land game, or do anything besides make more WarioWare games, and don't get me wrong, I love WarioWare, but I feel like certain elements of Wario's image and personality are lost in only focusing on WarioWare. Wario is and always has been a goofball, but he's also kind of a badass, hence why his signature move is his shoulder bash, and that's just something you don't get to see too often in the WarioWare games. Hopefully either someone within Nintendo finally takes notice of fans wanting a new Wario Land installment, or someone approaches them with a really strong pitch for something similar to that, because I really want to see the "full package" Wario of being silly and strong come back someday.
16:43 WarioWare Gold is a pretty good contender for best WarioWare. Bringing it up at the start and having the ad read at the end is very classy, I can't stand when its 3 minutes into the video with the fakey "speaking of armor that protects you, blah vpn can protect ..." transition.
Yknow, people keep saying Wario is an exaggerated Mario, but Nintendo seems to have a fear of giving Mario noticeable flaws, to the point where he almost never has any dialogue, even when it’s inconsequential like in the Mario Party games. (Aside from the recent movie where they Had to do something to make him more interesting.)
Mario Party 6 and 7 actually made Mario somewhat snarky with "hey stinky!" hehe...also look up Mario vs. Donkey Kong in GBA and Mario has funny dialogue that seems surreal.
@@Rediscool9Facts some fans are the most ungrateful people ever the minute Mario gets any type of flaw people take it out of context. Also these are the same people calling Mario boring for being “too perfect”.
Wario World and Wario Land 4 were such good games for Wario. His character really shined through and through with personality. The levels in WW are really long but the combat does keep it engaging
Wario World 100% feels like it's from another universe where wario's games somehow outsold mario's, and a copy of one of his games just somehow made it into ours
I feel like 9:40 hits the nail on the head, as "Micro-Games," came from Mario Artist Polygon Studio coffee break, "Sound Bomber." Not the most profound factoid, but a very interesting one that happened to be a thing on the ill-fated 64DD.
8:51 Treasure was on game developing duties for Wario World Wario was on speed dial for Wario Ware because he was the handheld mascot, technically. He'd pretty much lifted the crown from Mario around Mario Land 3 and while Nintendo was re-releasing the normal Mario games on GBA because they finally had a handheld platform that could do them justice, Wario needed a new game series. It's also worth noting that Wario's classic appearance is still in Smash, it's just not the default
I just want Captain Syrup to make a return, yes I would love Wario Land and its amazing characters (Shokora, Merelda, and Rudy to name a few) to return, but at minimum I want Syrup, she's amazing
I'll always talk about and recommend Wario World. Won't act like it's perfect, but it has a satisfying gameplay loop (once you understand it), great fluid controls, and a banger soundtrack. One of my favorite quick setup, no bs action platformers, and probably my favorite of the Mario trio games on the GC (Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion) which is saying quite a bit.
Y'know I had no idea the devs behind Metroid 2 created Wario/Mario Land 2... But it is kinda fitting looking back. Since the engine for Wario Land 4 was used to make Metroid Fusion, and I think Zero Mission if I'm not mistaken. Essentially the Metroid devs created Wario, and Wario devs later returned the favor. Funny how things work out
Wario has been my favorite Nintendo character every since I played Mario Kart 64 as a kid, so I find it a bit depressing how little love he gets. Wario Land 4 is genuinely one of my favorite games of all time, the gameplay mixed with the insane artstyle and banger soundtrack is just perfection
I just think it’s really funny to think this guy went from a treasure hunter to a surprisingly decent game dev, makes Warrior feel more like a regular guy compared to the other Mario characters and that’s kinda why I loved him as a kid. Dude just has his own life and friends outside the main group and I was always just happy for him, good on him to not get boxed into just being “evil Mario” and carving his own path in life.
I fucking love wario world and its my favorite Wario game next to Wario Land 4. I think it is a underrated gem that doesn't get enough credit. It was good for it being their first time trying to create Warios gameplay and worlds feeling but in 3D. I still wish we could get another 3D Wario. Im still waiting for Waluigi World. His own game or fuck it make Wario World Sequel with Waluigi Wario & Waluigis World. Waluigi needs more love too
So basically, Wario went from Greedy Adventuring Bastard (Land/World) to One Half of a Cartoon Crime Duo (Sports games) to Greedy Game-Developing Bastard (Ware)
dunno man, as much as he wario was a shoe in for the wario ware series, i feel like it builds a lot on his character. looking over his double-dash item, to mariokart courses with his name on it, to his own games, it really draws a picture of a guy that will do anything for money. he only committed crime punishable by law in his debut title (im sure terrorism is legal in mario sporting events), his courses in the MK series are probably as shoddy and ramshackle and improvised as they because he only wants to meet the bare minimum and still get paid (presumably) for contributing tracks for racing. in short really like the different ways this side character of a man has his greed personalized in the entries he's featured in
I thought many agreed Wario in Move It! doesn't have that great of a voice...he's decent as Mario and actually think he may be better as Luigi but his Wario sounds off IMO.
His Wario is absolute shit, doesn't sound good at all, stilted without any accent, just sounds like someone's angry dad. His best is Luigi and his Mario is kinda off.

YOU PICK WAAAAAAAARIIIIO
NO NO, YOU PICK... *WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
I really appreciate the clarity and respect that you show in the ad for this video. Bringing it up at the start and having the ad read at the end is very classy, I can't stand when its 3 minutes into the video with the fakey "speaking of armor that protects you, blah vpn can protect ..." transition.
This video is a meme ride, and I love it lmao
Wario is slowly but surely becoming more popular than Waluigi and I’m all here for it.
You say that yet the moment they give him flaws, y’all call him a “bad brother” to Luigi or a “psychopath” smh. 😒
@@Rediscool9Facts some fans are the most ungrateful people ever the minute Mario gets any type of flaw people take it out of context. Also these are the same people calling Mario boring for being “too perfect”.

Fault to those edgelord mario animators, they overstayed their welcome

THAT'S WHAT IM SAYING
El loco damian:

Fortnite
Wario World and Wario Land 4 were such good games for Wario. His character really shined through and through with personality. The levels in WW are really long but the combat does keep it engaging
Wario World 100% feels like it's from another universe where wario's games somehow outsold mario's, and a copy of one of his games just somehow made it into ours
Okay, but there is this Wario game that NO ONES talks about and its Wario Master of Disguise and it was so good! Honestly underrated gem
12:06 cool dk sound effect
I feel like 9:40 hits the nail on the head, as "Micro-Games," came from Mario Artist Polygon Studio coffee break, "Sound Bomber."
Not the most profound factoid, but a very interesting one that happened to be a thing on the ill-fated 64DD.
8:51 Treasure was on game developing duties for Wario World
Wario was on speed dial for Wario Ware because he was the handheld mascot, technically.
I'd also recommend you to play other Treasure games.
Funny how things work out
Excuse my ignorance, but how did they return the favor?
WL1 uses Metroid 2 Engine btw
@@ssg-eggunner So this may explain why it felt slower than Mario Land 2.
0:35 I've never heard of male pattern revenge lol
Wario has been my favorite Nintendo character every since I played Mario Kart 64 as a kid, so I find it a bit depressing how little love he gets. Wario Land 4 is genuinely one of my favorite games of all time, the gameplay mixed with the insane artstyle and banger soundtrack is just perfection
WARIO.
WORLD.
2.
Been sayin' it for years
i personally love the warioware games.
also wanted to say that you can change to his regular outfit in smash
Yes but still his all attacks and moves were based on warioware wario instead of wario land
I miss Wario Land 3 and 4 Wario 🥺
I miss Master of Diguise. That was the best Wario game ever to me.
I mean this the nicest way possible but I always suspected Alex of owning a sphinx
6:20 yoshi’s island: super Mario world 2
Not gonna stand for the warioware slander! XD
i think wario at his best form is in the mario/wario land commercials
I just think it’s really funny to think this guy went from a treasure hunter to a surprisingly decent game dev, makes Warrior feel more like a regular guy compared to the other Mario characters and that’s kinda why I loved him as a kid. Dude just has his own life and friends outside the main group and I was always just happy for him, good on him to not get boxed into just being “evil Mario” and carving his own path in life.
6:15 I actually wouldn't mind if they were titled like this, but I guess it's a little weird and foreigny to do that.
Alax is a comedic genius 😂😂😂
The WAFT was perfect and immediately followed up by
“Where he came alive…and come a-dead” 😂😂😂😂
Wario. Wario never changes.
Why is there a wad of gum on that zig zag graph.... ohhhhhhhhhhh
You forgot about Virtual Boy Wario Land.
it was a good game!
Just from the opening i can already tell how good this vid is going to be
I fucking love wario world and its my favorite Wario game next to Wario Land 4. I think it is a underrated gem that doesn't get enough credit. It was good for it being their first time trying to create Warios gameplay and worlds feeling but in 3D.
I still wish we could get another 3D Wario. Im still waiting for Waluigi World.
His own game or fuck it make Wario World Sequel with Waluigi
Wario & Waluigis World. Waluigi needs more love too
So basically, Wario went from Greedy Adventuring Bastard (Land/World) to One Half of a Cartoon Crime Duo (Sports games) to Greedy Game-Developing Bastard (Ware)
Also Gold wasn't forgettable (to me). I love Charles Martinet's full voice acting for Wario and that stuck in my head.
"warioware gold, a forgettable title" you SINNER
/j
dunno man, as much as he wario was a shoe in for the wario ware series, i feel like it builds a lot on his character. looking over his double-dash item, to mariokart courses with his name on it, to his own games, it really draws a picture of a guy that will do anything for money.
he only committed crime punishable by law in his debut title (im sure terrorism is legal in mario sporting events), his courses in the MK series are probably as shoddy and ramshackle and improvised as they because he only wants to meet the bare minimum and still get paid (presumably) for contributing tracks for racing.
in short really like the different ways this side character of a man has his greed personalized in the entries he's featured in
6:40 MA, I TREW UP
Warioworld gave me sleep paralysis, and I loved it
Captain Rainbow would make more sense than Wario for Warioware
Soinc is one year older then wario that's crazy
I actually used to play Wario World at the haircut place. That haircut place was the best place ever. GameCube games, themed seats, and DVDs
oh my god i never mentioned his mouth is permanently open until you mentioned it
6:22 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
Yoshis island: super mario world 2
Bro what's wrong with Kevin Afghani, he did a perfectly good job as Wario!!!
I thought many agreed Wario in Move It! doesn't have that great of a voice...he's decent as Mario and actually think he may be better as Luigi but his Wario sounds off IMO.
Yeah, Kevin Afghani does sound a bit off for some lines, but I still think his performance was good enough.@@zjzr08
His Wario is absolute shit, doesn't sound good at all, stilted without any accent, just sounds like someone's angry dad. His best is Luigi and his Mario is kinda off.
@@koji8872 Entitled prick
@@koji8872 He may need some time, because Wario is a harder character to voice than Mario and Luigi.
5:22 It's called Wario's Woods because Wario gives me Wood

8:24 Never in a million years would I expect this.
12:25 game & wario was actually rather fun. I used to love the miiverse sketch
6:21 Oh trust me, it gets more confusing:
Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Summoner
Devil Summoner - Soul Hackers
Soul Hackers 2
Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha vs The Soulless Army
Devil Summoner 2 - Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon
Also the SMT label on Persona games was just an international release thing. Their actual title is Megami Ibunroku, a nod to the title Megami Tensei which is basically the main franchise.
This is my 6th year in a row watching this channel and it never gets old. Keep doing what you do.
I feel like I've seen this video before.

I think when Wario is not joining Mario and the gang, He makes games with his own crew.
Wario got voice acting before pokemon did
I love how he completely forgot that wario land shake it was a thing
I honestly thought he was gonna talk about Wario Land Shake It, I really enjoyed it & thought it was fun
