    One tip for studying specifically: Go to the library. Everybody around you is studying and therefore putting pressure on you to be productive as well.

      Putting pressure on me never worked to make me study.
      The only times I really studied was when the subject interested me.
      When I got pressure on my shoulders to study something, I totally lose interest in the subject, and become unable to work.

      What's the prob. I get good amount of sleep and I'm a student. Don't blame school if you're scrolling through instagram till 2AM and then sleep at 3AM.

    1. Plan out your times (start by figuring out which times of the day your brain is focused the most) - most efficient hours and schedule your time accordingly
    2. Train your brain (don’t multitask - put all effort in to ONE task)
    3. Let it flow naturally (if you can’t focus - take a break to clear your head)
    4. Sleep well eat well ! Take care of your needs = increased productivity
    5. Make a list - make it clear to your self what you want to accomplish in each session - be specific !
    6. Repeat repeat repeat (consistency) **
    7. Clear up (leave all potential distractions from your previous tasks behind) move forward
    8. Pay attention to your habits (pin point what exactly keeps you distracted and get rid of it)
    9. Times up ! (Set times - Take breaks)
    10. Separate relaxation space and work space (bedroom / study room) no working in bedroom X
    11. FINISH !! End the work with some thing you enjoy eg: watch a movie.

      OK ik it's weird to say something random here but, I literally took my book to study justtt to have some private time cuz my mom and dad doesn't like that I watch anime that includes boys...and yeah I am in India so Indian schools mostly separate the genders...and I think in many countries being gay or bi or even lebesian is considered bad, well guess wt being cold but kind hearted is considered a boy behavior and not a girl one...so I just wanna ask u this...do u have any idea about how u can get more not so emotionless cuz my parents hate me ●︿● (yeah I only can think of sadness and not happiness idk y)

      There are many components to learning to focus. One plan I discovered that successfully combines these is the Magic Focus Plan (google it if you're interested) it's the most incredible plan that I've heard of. Check out the awesome information .

    If you are limited with available space, you can always differentiate a study zone vs. a relaxing zone with a light. The idea behind having separate spaces is to associate the various areas with the different tasks. Using a certain light while working, will have the same effect.

    This is great, thanks very much, also I would add doing exercise during the day, really helps boost dopamine levels in the brain and keeping up motivation especially when stress builds up.

    Another tip: If you have an Android, search up "focus distraction app" on the Play Store and there's this app that lets you set time limits to the most distracting parts of your phone (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Helped me save hours!

    Learn to say “not now, later”
    Many distractions come from the needs or availability of others.
    Focus without disruptions does wonders.

    What I find to be the case: When observing and comparing people's focal endurance, it's quite similar to marathon runners vs sprinters. You can train to be good at either/and/or, but in a similar fashion to how some people are innately slow-twitch muscle fibre dominant (and so find long distance easier than the avg.), individuals can be innately better at short and intense bursts of focus, or extensive hours of focus. I'm decent in terms of long periods of focus, but my short intense bursts are lacking.
    Focus intensity seems slightly abstract for some, but I like comparing it to how hard one can contract a muscle and incorporate it into functional movement/tasks.
    Just a brief idea of how I go about thinking about focus.

    I think its important also not to follow anything as a hard or fast rule, breaks are important but if you've got momentum, keep it going! You'll very likely find yourself going off to do something or going on some tangent then its off to bed then you take a few horus to get in a position to be able to work after waking up, getting ready etc. then your priorities have shifted and you're no longer even close to holding in mind the task you have at hand and even if you remember that day your best hours will be behind you.

    The most effective way for me to stay focused on something is to hate that something with every fiber of my being. That way, I can even learn about it better since hating something makes that something your enemy and therefore gets you to actually learn something about it.

    If your phone distructs you download Offtime and/or app detox, they will make it impossible to you to use the apps u select
    If your computer distracts you install WasteNoTime or Focal filter (you can give 'em a list of web pages, which they will block for a desired time limit)

    8 is a pretty good tip. If you see yourself being distracted by an app, like discord or a game, simply remove your access to it. For me, since exams are coming up, I deleted a game that I just open whenever I'm bored doing work. Now I'm a lot more productive since I don't constantly open the game in between sessions.

    All tasks I do, I do in silence. No radio, No I-Tunes, No CD's, and No TV!!! . I'm a strong believer of saving those for when I have nothing else to do. Distractions cause me to forget things, and also cause me to misplace things. If I misplace things, I have to spend hours looking for what I misplaced, or else spend that money and REplace what I've misplaced.
    Whenever I'm on my feet, I wanna think about absolutely noting else but the task at hand, even while doing such chores as washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, wiping down the kitchen counters, and cleaning the bathroom. In everything I do, I wanna do as I should behind the wheel of a vehicle, or operating heavy machinery. The task at hand is all I want on my mind. Doing something and thinking about other things is a BAD HABBIT!!!! Even in routine chores, I find that I can do SERIOUS DAMAGE if I don't concentrate on what I'm doing!!!!! Whenever I'm on my feet and going about things, I need to both CONCE------AND--------TRATE on what I'm doing. I wanna think about what I'm doing, and absolutely nothing but what I'm doing!!!!!!

    Best tip I can give yall is if you get distracted by reading a book for example, you can try doing a different strategies of reading or holding the book or even positions, I promise you if you start doing something different or different strategies everyday, you'll then develop something called "interest develop" is a thing that will basically make you focus more than anything else and start thinking more and focus more than ever before.

    Honestly I can’t blame school I’m lucky to have an education a lot of people would die for an education so they can live better so I shouldn’t complain or blame school but yeah it’s actually us who are the issue it’s 8 hours of school in my country so I come back home by 3pm and I have till like 9pm or 10pm to do what I need to 6-7 hours worth of time use like the last hour to enjoy myself and prepare for sleep and wake up by 6am but I came here because my schedule right now sucks distractions are everywhere and could barely finish tasks or focus. Idk where to start but yeah carry on watching more videos like this while studying it changes my mood

    Having good psych and phy us impt but good techniques requires constant effort and awareness on what the he'll you are doing. Most important part? Give yourself space to think. You don't always have to do something to give you progress. Think carefully before you do. And do it quick. In fact master the idea of multitasking but knowing what the he'll you are doing every single detail.

    I think music, especially music without lyrics helps, but if you keep jamming to it too much put on something more mellow or turn the volume down so you don't get so distracted from it

    I have a really hard time focusing.
    I find myself sitting down to do something, but then I get up and walk around even though I didn't need to get up to do something.

    this tip may work for some. Listen to some calm music such as piano instrumentals or low fi hip hop music while working. Try to refrain from music that distracts you.
