Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

Real good video Chris... You would not believe how many times I have told people it takes flooding to move the gold and to picture the area flooding. Also to go to their spots during all types of water levels and conditions to see how the stream is working during flood stages... Great Video and some nice gold... Keep up the great work...

G'day! Been loving the channel for last month or so, working back through some of your content.
Yesterday I went out and got myself my first pan, its that same pan kit, before i realised you'd had the same one which is cool. I think i paid close to $80 from Anaconda.
I also got a stainless steel fish bait pump for about $60. Im going to use it for sampling and maybe run it into a small sluice.

Thanks for another great vid Chris, very informative presentation, had a nice flow to it. Something for everyone really, a Koala, a bit of bumcrack plus the bonus of some really nice gold! Goes to show how important a distance of not only a couple of metres makes but a couple of hundred millimetres can make or break you as well. After all this time I think Grizzly is still buggered if he knows who you are talking to when the camera is rolling. Looks like you are in for a pearler of a weekend! Keep up the good work mate, love seeing that gold.
Aussie Chris I went back today and within a 1 foot space I went from 3-5 specks per pan to 15-20. Got to check out every change in soil.
OK, here's one for you. I look downstream at a right side bend. Right on it is a gravel bar. I see the lines of big rocks deposited but just before it there arre ridges running parallel to the stream. Pretty long ones. Now, between these ridges like a spine on a skinny horse :-D are dips about a foot lower. The entire gravel bar is about 3 feet above the water. Id appreciate it if you riddle me that guys. Thanks. And oh yes, I've found nice color and one nice flake yesterday.

Nah man, at home all he does is sleep, this was when he was still doing his mining course and he ad to learn how to dig! lol

I've been working it some and like 2 feet down the gold plays out.. what is the deepest you've gone in a gravel bar and found another spot that had more gold

I have watched this video multiple times, awesome information, I was wondering if u had any advice for finding the pay streak in a boulder field! I have been spending most of my time trying to find the pay streak but it seems to be just small deposits with the real pay streak. Tight up against the boulders is where all the gold is but other then that I'm seeing no definite pay streak! Any bit of info would be amazing for this beginner! Also I target boulder fields because everyone else stays away from The heavy lifting
The pool av been digging has paid off so far.av got the 7.5g nugget,a 21.5g gold chain,a pocket watch from the chain,a ring of some sort,an old bullet,loads of other bits and bobs and a few kilos of concentrates to run through some device when I get 1!

Your old minelab pan looks good still I'll have it if you don't want it. My pan is old I watched it get made 24 years ago in sovereign hill.

I know this is an old video but have u ever tried running dream mat in your rocker box? I saw a guy in Australia bucketing a sluice box with dream mat in it,just curious if it would work in a rocker box,kinda like combining the new with the old.
I personally have noticed it does help with me with my PTSD pass the word brother

Bluey 16 not many, normally I put some rough rocks dry in there and just swoosh it around.
When you hear that a big storm is coming though an area you've been working. Is there a way of going out per-storm and setting up some gold trap areas? Being that you know just about how the water's are going to be running and just about where the heavies should be dropping out. Is there a way of making a man made gold trap so after the flood waters come through you can go out and retrieve the gold that should have dropped out??? Does that make any since to you???
There used to be a tale about people who nailed sheepskins to the bottom of the creek, I don't know if it was truth or a tall story from "popular engineering".

A correlation provably exists between solar/lunar illuminated views of Earth *as seen from space* and known goldfields across the world. If I'm correct & what's visible are gold/silver ores reflecting light, half of the UK has gold-bearing rocks & rivers. I believe the Staffordshire Hoard relics were made from *locally sourced gold*. I'm also in possession of a series of pin markers which led me to certain places - I'm discovering that they're highly likely to indicate presence of gold; One of the strongest indicators is in the N.E. USA where I coincidentally happen to have a pin marker. *Capital cities spring up where gold is. I think that's because of how *some* of it came to Earth by gold-loaded meteorites that struck Earth's crust creating "smashed glass" effect shallows that water accumulates at = > the reason for people to live there beside large rivers like the Thames. IF I'm right there is much gold in Central England, SE England NW+SW of London, Southern Scotland, NE Wales, NE Ireland, the centre & all round the perimeter of Spain etc.

Why do you stop panning for the camera with so much material left in the pan? You know we’re interested seeing the results but you have so much material left in the pan in nearly drives me crazy!

Its about timing, I'm focused on brining a production that's entertaining not always educational.
I could leave all the panning in but it would be come tedious very quickly.
Nice vid Chris although your CHIP sampling was a bit sus :). A question to put out there. At what size does a picker become a nugget? Or is anything you can pick up a nugget?
Stu JD a nugget to me Is not about weight. It's about location. If you're in a fine alluvial area and you find a match head sized bit of gold, then that's a nugget for your area.

Dead right about the rocks mate il be doing a video in a few weeks showing about deposition on beach and drops in water pressure, i can tell where the gold is by the type of deposition caused by pressure drops in flow

Ok lets be real. First im a fan, but honest question would be how much would you say on average, in gold you recover? Yearly.
Aaron Leon 2-3 ounces. However, its not about the gold for me, this is therapy.
If I decided that instead of making videos, which eats up time and forces me to try new things like use a rocker box go to certain spots to film, I could probably push that number up to 6+ ounces a year.
But like I said, it's not about the gold.

Most new videos have updates on my monthly total too.
You should take a hand dredge to the bedrock that you have cleared off. I'd bet that you would get some really good gold off if.

@@VoGusProspecting I just checked, it usually comes as a byproduct from refining copper sulfates. And is known as the world's most invisible metal. Typical yield is just over a gram per ton of ore. Platinum nuggets you wouldn't miss in the pan, because they're heavier than gold.
