I love the amount of information you are dispersing with your videos along with the entertainment. Thank You!!
I try to get little nuggets of info in every clip
I like watching the entro on these videos because you can actually see the pay streak
old school vogus stuffs is just awesome.
Another great video. As always informative. I wish there was a way to share pics on here
Thank you Chris
Another name for the pug is mellow, like the way your videos make people feel. Well done
Craig Parry mellow! I forgot about that name.
Most of my prospecting is working the dry over burden, classifying through a #8 mesh before processing. Digging up the layer below to soak over night and then processing.
Come to think of it I don't think I've done a video of that just in the channel. I'm currently trying to understand a big inside bend. Its not going well. The gold is hiding. Which is really frustrating because if I go to the straight channel I can go straight to the lead and get a reasonable result.
Liked the vid anyway dude! always do! Keep em coming! Always learning! Thanks
Great info.
I located an old flood bed today with some huge water weathered boulders.
A gold bearing creek is running about 10 meters from it. Going to dig tomorrow for some pug .
Rocky Mountain Prospector that is exactly what this type of Prospecting is for. Look for an I side bend or obstruction
Vo-Gus Prospecting Will do my friend.
Going to record the dig and add to my channel for you to see.
Hi Chris, another great informative video. Also a BIG thanks to you and Gold Claw for Vogus18. My Gold Claw arrived yesterday.
Many many thanks for all the work you put in. Would love to see you and Pioneer Pauly together some day.
Cheers
Robert Law no worries mate
Always educational Chris. Smashed the like button. Baz.
Another great video chris👍 now I feel like digging a 15ft hole tomorrow the pug down here is real deeep but I have all day😁⛏👍
Puglicious video Chris, I enjoyed the creation of your hole, it was most satisfying Thanks! Morning coffee and a nice hole!
Insolent Stickleback its a beautiful hole
Excellent Video & informative as always Chris, Keep up the Awesome Work!

Two golden thumbs to you sir thankyou
awe Chris they don't do the golden smashy button anymore .....interesting PUG though...thats noit something I had considered
Hey Chris , nicely done ☠👍👍👍💙
Awesome mate I did pretty much the same thing the other day the day before I ran around 10 20lt buckets the next day I just dug down to around the pug to and ran 2 20lt buckets and got more gold 👍⛏
DCM 5 Transport its always a nice surprise seeing the result
Good job mate. nice work. wonder thou, if you had available water you can run the sluice and work both pug an over bearings, you know we'll take every spec possible. great work thou!
Golden paydirt Reviews of course. The ides behind this is if you don't have water and have to dry pan or transport the dirt you work the richest layer.
Where did you get that fiberglass brush I like that!
Awesome info and video ...Thanks....
Sebastian Popescu no problems
Nice job. Good help is hard to find!😆
Getting cold there and warming up here in Cali finally. Like Grizzlies cost. 1st I’ve heard of the term, “Pug” fun as usual.

Love the fun you had with this video but two of you would be double trouble :) I love the links you add for the equipment you use, can you please give me the link to the crevasse tool you used in this video ?
They are all custom made, so no links.
I see you finally used that classifier for once so good going for that mate !!! We here in Virginia USA and perhaps all across America call your pugs our hardpack gravel bar layer material on top of the actual bedrock itself will hold quite a bit of small gold !!! I'll be doing a small video soon of me working some of that same material but using a DeWalt wet/dry vac so I won't be missing any gold that I couldn't get up with a spoon or scoop !!!! Cheers mate !!!!
Jeffrey Elliott I use them when I have to lol
You use a wet/dry industrial vacuum cleaner? That's neat? 😄
How do you power it though? Generator or?
@@iamshredder3587 It's battery operated
@@jeffreyelliott622 Ahh sweet. Seems like a good idea. Does it really work as one may hope though or not really? Like would you go and buy a new one just for that purpose if you didn't already have one?
Get blocked up easy and wear out quick and moror gets full of dust or anything?
I know they're generally not cheap to buy, least the one I got my girl the other say wasn't. I doubt she'd be too keen on me using it fir that either haha
@@iamshredder3587 It's the Dewalt battery powered and electric cord as well but you're just vacuuming fine material and at the of the day you clean it out after using it say for 3 hours off and on !!! But thorough cleaning when you get home !! I think my unit was a 100 bucks years ago
great stuff! admired by your dedication to your channel! what kind of camera do you use sir? thank you!
Chris Torres GoPro Sessions Black 6 and DJI spark
a hole was dug near here and a big rock was found. the hole was metal detected with not much found. then two guys metal detected the boulder...first guy found 4 nuggets of good size and the second found about 11. all the nuggets were "concreted" onto the boulder and they had to chip off the boulder to get the gold. i'm guessing that is what you call "pug".
another guy dug up an extremely old quartz boulder with small holes in it. he took it home and laid it on a sheet of plastic. when it dried out the gold fell onto the plastic and we processed it. we probably didn't get all the gold since we didn't chip off anything or test it with the metal detector.
Richard Servatius quite possibly, if that Rock hadn't moved in a long time its likely that's what would of formed around it
Gold thumbs up....good👍! Gold finger.........matter of opinion😲
Nice to give a mate all the pay. And Aye inside bend was just across from ya lol. Take it that this spot was a low pressure spot. Was this spot researched with water flowing?Great video. And the layer around the bedrock looked really good.Pan on All
Sean Preston I've done lots of digging in this creek. I picked this spot because it was only a few feet to bedrock.
Great video mate
TAS D thank you
TAS D ((
This ironstone layer your calling pug is the only layer I find good gold in Oklahoma its a low grade deposit so I find the micro gold in the pug its usually not worth mining in Oklahoma but in California or Arizona they find nuggets in the pug layers good luck guys check out my channel sometime I chase the pug lol happy prospecting :)
REDMAN PROSPECTING mmmm nuggets
Like button smashed !
BlackarrowRC now I need a new one.
the classified rocks washed? if pug is that hard heavies might not all come off dry classifing. could you wash them before it rains & see what that looks like. sorry there's no water close. nice cape Grizzly :D
In an ideal situation yes. But its real dry there. Closest water source is several KM away.
Nice one bro so can I ask is there pug I thought the creek or just in different spots and how far down do you have to go or all depends
Ash's prospecting channel it directly on top of the bedrock. And its it most water courses. Have a read of the article in the description.
Hi Mate..
Have subscribed to your channel as we have similar interests.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Cheers Famo59.

Lyn Dixon - Australia hope you weren't disappointed
No way, it was a nice find.
Lots of hard work, but ya smashed it mate! And I smashed the like button as well. Good day to ya! ⛏🇺🇸🤠
ChrisWanz thanks mate. I'm sore today
muito bom amigo
you should have taken along some of those eggs. Its campfire weather now and you could have an egg and banana bread toastie.
Stephen Wright I didn't know there was going to be banana bread
I think I might have missed a video. Have you sampled the over burden? I'm getting less gold in the overburden but reward for effort it seems to be about the same. The loose overburden doesn't have a lot of gold but its REALLY easy digging and classifying whereas the Mallow (same as pug) is damm hard to dig and process because its so concreted.
Stuart Chignell I've done lots of digging in this creek. The overburden isn't worth .such unfortunately
Vo-Gus Prospecting i guess every creek is different.
In my originalpost i meant to have a question mark after mallow. Is it the same as pug.
Also I'm currently working an inside bend and I'm getting nothing in the over burden. 15m away in the straight channel there isn't a lot but some.
👍🏼sweet pup
Gold fever
Based on experience, I agree with the theory. As long as it hasn’t recently been depleted (worked), the bedrock should harbor larger quantities of gold than the overburden!
Adam Fry 100% agree.
To put it into simple terms pug is hard pack
nm copwatch sort of but no. Hard pack differed in that its made of cobble as pug is primarily made of compacted dirt and decaying bedrock.
did you weigh it up in the end? would be nice to know what that was given you basically ran a 1/10th of a yard to compare to the boys on tv
John Clark I can give you a run down of that.
Gold rush works off $10-15 a yard or around 0.2-0.3g a yard of dirt.
Best ground I've been on was 6g or $300 a yard and average is around 0.5g or $25 a yard.
We got roughly 0.1-0.15 out of that hole. But this location was chosen because of the close proximity of the bedrock. Ideally you want to be on an inside bend or the like.
Nice
Liked the smash button. :D
Interesting: Are you allowed to wash paydirt in the Ovens given it's on the exempted list? I get that you're not prospecting the river itself, but that might be hard to convince a friendly ranger of?
Many people prospect there. Literally every creek and river in Vic is on that list. Even rangers can't give me a straight answer about it.
oh yeah brotha. I've seen that puggy butter
E Stars pugalicious
Cool !!!!
Actualy it was quite hot that day lol
Vo-Gus Prospecting so I should have said " Hot " !!!!!
Have you spent any time up Corryong way?
No mate I haven't.
the only pug I know about is a little flat faced dog! lol lunch for Grizzly

You can't make a proper joke, without braking a few eggs
You crack me up!

interesting
Like that smash button!!😉👍
How much was that worth ?? Nice vid mate
Gordon Preston not much. We dug in the wrong spot.
Golds around $1700 an ounce do that was about $3-6 worth.
Ok ok . Thats cool .. i like your videos mate .. iv allways want to give gold panning a go . It looks like fun .
My brother there was an egg shell in your eggs 😂
Here's me thinking 7 eggs a day is hard to get rid of!how many chucks u got?
Rastaman Ralph none man, a friend gave them to me.
Vo-Gus Prospecting areet if u eat 20 eggs a day eh? A love egg dips which a use 5 or 6 at a time but crikey u will have to give loads away or sell vogus eggs.com!👍💙😂
