Cut to a poorly edited intro video with buzzwords flashing like "Guns", Gear", "Reviews", "Training"
Because he never tried to do this for fame or riches, he generally loves guns and what he does
A youtuber did a ballistics review on this gun. He shot through cloth, denim, beef ribs, lungs and other parts. It basically shattered the ribs and pulverized the meat into mush. Small size, 11 rounds, low recoil. Physical proof that this gun is no joke.
It is not something to mess with.
Paul Harrell reviewed it also, however his advice (I agree with) to practice head shots because of caliber, however with 22 stingers from cci, they did expand in his “meat target”
Saw that video. It changed my mind!!
"We're at the range today, so bare with any gunfire you hear in the background"
Until you get shot back at with 9MM b/c your POS .22LR didn't do it's job fast enough; so you both die but your attacker, maybe later at the hospital....or he may even survive.
A quote from another UA-cam reviewer on this pistol "You start poking holes in people they tend to leave you alone" ...
Jeff said that! He’s the man too!
Sounds like someone with a long beard .
A friend of mine once told me that if the need to defend yourself arises. And you shoot the threat in the face with a .22. It will make the threat stop doing whatever was going on that made you shoot. I can't swear to that statement as being totally true. But it bears credence with me. Because the .22 mini mags I shoot from my .22s are something I believe to be quite effective. And I consider the .22 to be as lethal as most anything else.
Dean Tibbetts I couldn’t agree more
Nice! And True...
I have to say that through many years of LE, the many I observed shot with a 22lr. Were deceased. Every single one of them. Just some food for thought.
Yes it does not matter the size of the exit hole if hits a major organ😀

50 cent was shot numerous times with a 9 mil. If it was a 22, he'd have died at the first shot to the face that he took. Fast enough to go in, slow enough to stay and scramble.
@@marshalldcarpenter 50cent 😂🤣😂
@@marshalldcarpenter IDK. There's a video I saw of a lawyer being shot point blank in the head with a .22 by a disgruntled customer and he survived similarly to 50 Cent.
I spend a lot of time in a wheelchair, so I wouldn't
do very well with someone beating me up.
But I know that I can make you let me go If I
have that 22 ruger in my hand.
I too am a wheelchair user and I would feel plenty safe with ten rounds of stingers.
Stay safe out there please defend yourself
I do not appreciate either of them looking down on us that have to make the choice of a .22 or nothing. I would have preferred the approach of "I discourage .22 for self defense. If you must, here is what you may need to know"
Their are some easily concealable 9mm with light recoil if that's your thing like the ec9s. 22s are nice until you get that one guy who goes into fight mode. The name of the game is to incompasinate. 10 seconds is a long time in a self defense scenario to wait for someone to fall over. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. Ruger even says 22 is not meant for self defense
@@vesical7952
Although you make a good point, self-defense doesn't always mean to incapacitated or terminate the aggressor.
But to create a break in contact. 22lr with good shot placement is able to accomplish this goal. If pepper spray mace is able to accomplish this and many people carry mace for self-defense.
Why are people hesitate to carry a 22lr for self-defense? With good ammo (CCI mini mags), they are very reliable.
But carry what you feel more comfortable with.
God bless and stay safe and healthy.
I have this exact gun and LOVE it. Whenever I practice at the range, I start off with this guy then move on to my other guns. It's fun to shoot, accurate, and great for target practice. Although I carry either a .380 or a 9mm, this would be an excellent concealed carry. In fact, my sister-in-law carries this one. As they say, the best gun to carry is the one you're comfortable to shoot.
My wife carries one. She literally cannot work the slide on any other pistol except this one.
Hi i bought this for my fiance due to the fact shes a 1st time shooter with no experience as like a beginner gun and shes having a hard time handling my larger firearms they a little to bulky and heavy and she likes the safty aswell for peace of mind. its just for emergency sitting in the safe im viewing it as a first step for her then upgrade when shes comfortable. Do you feel that firearm does its job? Do you feel comfortable with it?
@@live2fishrourke35 yes indeed! I love it, I had my teenagers start with it and they’ve both really enjoyed it. Perfect first gun and I still love to shoot it
@@elizabethmilligan7173 thankyou for tbe feedback any suggestions for the most reliable ammo that wont cause any malfunctions i know. 22lr can be a bit picky or aslong as you keep it clean and lubricated shoud we not run into any problems?

A handgun chambered in 22 for self defense is better than a rock.
Or a sharp stick .
I have the original LCP. Can’t hit anything beyond 10 yds with it.
@@Wooster77 I have one too. Bought when they first came out. I'm a horrible shot with it.
Wooster a lot of people can’t hit anything with any pistol beyond 15 yards.
That would be a compelling argument if you could only carry .22LR. Luckily, you can carry .380 and 9mm, and Ruger even chambers the LCP in those.
I’ll always carry my .45 but if all I could afford was a .22 to shoot and practice with, I would do it. Don’t underestimate the 22lr. My wife is a surgical nurse at a trauma 1 hospital near Dallas and she has some stories worth listening to on the subject.
Gotta admit 10 rounds for such a tiny pistol is pretty outstanding.

Sadly $520 out the door here in Cali
It’s funny how everyone says don’t ever carry one for defense but no one I know of wants to be on the receiving end of a .22 LR.
One of our VPs received a 22 round to the back when he was a kid. It's caused him a lifetime of pain, surgery and disability.
I think it has far more to do with the increased odds of a misfire with it being rimfire. Sure it’s not a powerful round, but it not shooting when you want it to is much more worrisome for me personally.
The old saying - It's better to be missed by a 44 magnum than to be shot in the forehead with a 22 long rifle .

busymountain i mean i think its more they RATHER carry something bigger which is reasonable. doesnt mean a 22 wont hurt or kill
Picked one up earlier this year. It came used with 3 mags and the pocket holster for $275. I have probably close ro 500 rounds through it and I absolutely love it. I prefer revolvers, but this little gun is just amazing. My step mom and sister both like to shoot it and they both weigh around 100 pounds. Awesome little gun.

22 in your pocket beats a 45 in the night stand every day
That’s why you keep a .45 in your pocket
A .22 that you practice with once a month is better than the .45 that you practice with once or twice ayear.
@@tylersingleton9284 or NEVER practice with...
NS. Everybody that wants to get shot with a .22, raise your hand. C'mon, don't be shy. No takers? Hmmm.
This saying is so long in the tooth already
I believe a small weapon like this should be a great concealed pocket pistol you know alot of people underestimate the power of a .22lr of the damage it can cause its a perfect pocket pistol low recoil and super light even loaded!
my grandfather had a few carry options but for 2 decades he decided to carry a beretta bobcat in 22LR...the 22 is such an underated self defense round no one wants to be shot even with a spitball so a few 22 holes will scare most people off and a lucky shot to something important can end the situation quick...that said I still like my 9mm haha
There is a really neat study on lethality and caliber. 22lr actually had the same lethality in a self defense situation as i think 357. When they went into why, shot placement. 22lr is far far more accurate in a self defense situation vs other rounds. As a result of less recoil and sound, scared victims place rounds in spots that drop humans.
How you doing, Cutlery Lover? You go way back, I think even prior to OUR getting started, or around the same time maybe.
bobcat has been my first carry gun. Too bad mine has been not super reliable. I got one of these and have had no malfunctions. if only they put an extractor on the bobcat, it would have been perfect.
Cutlerylover I was a xray tech in a major trauma hospital, I worked mainly the er at night and actually we saw more people come in shot and killed with 22lr than any other caliber. The reason for this is when it enters the body it begins tumbling and it may go in a none lethal area but by the time it travels and tumbles through the body it has done a lot of damage. I xrayed one guy where the 22lr went in his shoulder and we found the bullet in his abdomen
And the ammunition is dirt cheap, so you can exercise until you don't need luck to hit something important.
I carry a glock 19 gen 3 everyday, have for many years. I would definitely 100% feel comfortable carrying this for self defense. Looking forward to picking one up!
Your back will thank you. Great little gun.
I tried doing that. Lasted one day. Switched to G26 and never looked back. But this little Ruger is a great secondary.
For some reason people are starting to love .22! Why not? Is a Fun Gun!
Cheep ammo also!
They’re easy to practice with since they have no recoil.

Any Hickok45 is worth viewing the entire video. Always informal, up close, personal, no BS, great content, witty humor, feels like your grandad has you at his place to show you some stuff and tell stories. Love it.
Déjà vu indeed; one hour ago I was watching an old Hickock45 video about the LCP, I took my shower and coming back, alas! another LCP. This is great. Thank you Mr. Hickock45 for making these trying days less hard. May God Almighty bless and keep safe you, your loved ones and all those who watch your videos. As you always say, Life is Good!
I think this will definitely appeal to people who believe whatever small gun you have with you is better than the gun that was left at home because it's too heavy or too big.
Hickok "a bullet is a bullet you can quote me on that". Words of wisdom
unless you carry a co2 BB pistol
Way back when I was a kid shooting .22 rifles I always remember the warning on the box of shells. I believe it stated "DANGEROUS WITHIN ONE MILE". I like my .380 and my 9mm, but if all I had was that .22 so be it.
I think now some are 1 1/2 miles.
I like a big round, I shoot a .45, but I've seen a lot of big men run from hornets.
Most defensive use of handguns don't involve firing a shot. Not a reason for carrying an ineffective gun, but a lot of people don't want to be shot by anything.
Please tell me what sort of bullet you don't run from...
It's metal going fast toward me. I'm going to get out of the way regardless if it's 40-70 Govt, 50 Beowulf or a .22 LR.
hyperfocal2002. I had to brandish my LCP .380 one day, a guy jumped out of his car at me with a pipe my lcp was out of my pocket instantly and he stopped as soon as he saw it, he literally froze In his tracks which was a good thing for him because once my gun came out of my pocket I completely prepared myself to shoot the guy if he took another step towards me
Still waiting for someone to manufacture a gun chambered in hornets.
**Slowly raises hand in shame**
This gun is fantastic. I carry it with a Kydex holster. Whenever Im in the front of the house with the kids or a quick trip to the store. With gym shorts, you forget you even have it on cause its so light. My G26 is still my go to but when ur outside doing yardwork or walking with the kids, its just too big. This gun does the trick and is quickly becoming my favorite carry gun..
Does yours have issues extracting an unspent round without dropping the magazine?
Lol!@@michaelkrimmel686
My father got one of these and I got him a two pack of mags on eBay for 39 bucks and we have almost 900 rounds through it and it’s malfunctions are now few and far between and we love it
I'd bet most of those malfunctions were the ammo or magazine. That's how most guns are, but especially with .22lr rimfire
All the malfunctions was a ammo that wasn’t hot enough but for some reason we can feed it Remington gold pack 36 grain ammo all day and have no problems
I also bought the 2 pack from ebay. Thanks
It’s a fun plinking gun and the two pack of mags makes it a lot better
Mine doesn't like anything Winchester, 1 or 2 malfunctions per mag. It eats cci all day long tho, can't remember 1 malfunction yet.
First range trip today. 300 rounds of cci mini mags. 3 light primer strikes. Fun little shooter. Second range trip and the trigger broke. Sent it to Ruger for repair. Got it back within a week and still broken! Off to Ruger for a second time.
I don't know of anyone who will stand there and get shot with 11 CCI Velocitors. If they do I think they may just bleed out pretty quickly!
The velocitors are a good hot round. They however don’t fully expand out of a short hand gun barrel.
Cci stingers will expand from this gun though, see Paul Harrell’s review on it.
The speed loader that comes with the gun makes reloading much better.
Yea, yea, everybody's laughing at the 22 LR. Getting hit by that will still ruin your day big time. Especially with its tight groupings.
And potentially much higher capacity
CCI .22 Segmented Rounds will also ruin your day.
A 22lr is no joke if it doesn't kill you you'll be shitting in a bag for the rest of your life
Was a juror on a capitol murder trial where a 16 yr old gang banger killed an illegal alien with a .22. Couldn't believe the damage done after reading the coroner's reports. Been shooting .22s for over 45 years and have a whole new respect for them after that trial.

A 22 LR revolver was used in the assasination of Bobby Kennedy . They are deadly at close range . 22 LR kills more people in the USA than any other caliber

Single out there?
I got one for Christmas and put 50 rounds through it and I love it!
Thats a good gift.
@@theghostofpatrickhenry4516 it really is.
Got this for the wife for training and her concealed carry. You can say all you want that this isn’t a concealed carry gun, but she struggled with the recoil and racking of a 9 since she’s 5’9” and 110lbs soaking wet (basically no muscle haha) I’d so much rather her have this than nothing.
It's really not desinged to be a self defense pistol? Tell that to the guy who's got a 22 rattling around in his skull.
Factemundo Raymundo!
Tru dat 😁
People are constantly making the argument that the round is too weak, my friends dad was out hunting and took a stray 30-06 round to the temple and was hospitalized with no major wound and no long term damage. Obviously it was probably from way way out of range but still the cartridge really isnt everything. If you get shot with anything you wont be happy.
Well, sure, but did you see what happened with the blue soda? Sure, it died, but not before it had a chance to shoot back.
MarcosElMalo2 that’s why you let all 10 rounds go
FYI - Aguila ammo is great in the gun. Both jacketed and HP work well.
Hickok’s last words:
“We’ve enjoyed your company. Life is good.”
I was going to wait for the price to drop down but, I wanted the gun more. And I am glad I bought it. Ruger did hit a home run out of the park with the LCP II 22LR. Light weight, small, accurate, easy to take apart and clean, fires bulk ammunition without any misfires. What more can anyone ask for. It is a fun gun to shoot and a good self defense weapon no matter what anyone else says. Shot placement determines who will live in a shoot out and the 22LR is easier to keep on target than a larger caliber.
.22 pistols are all-day-range-shooting fun.
I will not lie. I purchased this pistol for a secondary self defense pistol. Right now ammo is scarce and I’ve got plenty of .22. I’m confident that if this is all I had, I can stop a bad guy. However, this is certainly not all I have nor a 1st resort.
I really want one of these. I love 22s. I have bigger guns but I cant grab a 65$ bucket of Remington gold and have fun all Saturday with friends and family with any of them.
Best comment period and the perfect reason to own a 22 pistol. Just picked mine up today. I have a ruger Ec9s. But I don’t like paying to shoot my 9 all the time and not be able to buy dinner. 🤣
(Sorry, opening statement was in error) About the effectiveness of carrying an LCR for personal protection, I have watched you shooting 2 liter bottles of soda, can you not see the damage being done to those bottles; even under pressure how the bullets are punching through and clean out the other side?
You don't think a couple of those passing through your body won't have you running the other way? Well there's eight more in the magazine to help get the point across.
Can't put it any better than the responder who wrote, "you don't need a sledgehammer to hang a picture."

Riley Senn The LCP II in .380 is about the same weight as the .22 version. I'm obsessing on 11 rounds in that tiny gun. Throw another mag in your pocket and you have 21 rounds at hand. I bought this gun today to put in my EDC rotation..it's a nice compact smooth shooting gun.
Glad you got around to reviewing this nice little pistol, Hickok45! I handled one of these a couple weeks back at my LGS. Extremely easy to rack (thumb and forefinger sufficient for me), easy to handle, very light weight even loaded and very easy to conceal... good trigger... IMO a very good choice for an older person or someone with physical/strength disabilities. Even this little .22LR self-defense option is 100% better than no firearm at all. Disclosure: my old EDC was an LCP II in .380 and switched about two years back to the LC9s for EDC.
Videos like this are why I'm still subscribed. Thanks, hickok
Whether its good for self defense or not, the sheer fun value of a .22 cannot be beat.
A 22 with the right ammo will do a lot more damage than people think. I personally carry a S&W shield 9mm. I love a 22 honestly it's what I started with and got good at shooting on as a kid.
My grandma can’t handle any recoil but she’s an old cowgirl and can pull off multiple shots with this with ease!!
Genius!
With the little recoil the LCP 2 22lr has, one can much easier hit sensitive spots on an attacker and add several more rounds in the same location to stop the attacker if needed. So, I feel the 22lr can be an effective self-defense option for the less experienced shooter.
Mr. Hickok, I've always had a fondness for a handy .22 pistol. Some decades ago I used a nifty little S&W .22 to take a rabbit from my truck window while driving home through the North Idaho mountains. Wife and kids with me, I thought nothing of it until I'd retrieved the critter and got back in the truck. It was REAL quiet... I looked at the misses. The look of horror on her face was suggestive of being faced with a serial killer who also said bad things about rainbows and unicorns. When my 5 year old daughter said "I'm gonna eat the bunny!" the die was cast. I have since remarried. God Bless
Hi Hickok, Ruger is supposed to include a Magazine loading tool with this Pistol from the Factory.

@@SandaBoxing My manhood isn't defined by the size gun I choose to cary or the size truck I drive. When you grow up maybe you'll figure it out. Good Luck
It comes with a pocket holster so I think Ruger is sort of hinting at concealed carry.
Not a bad option for the recoil sensitive.
I want to get that Ruger 22 long rifle pistol because it's very reliable and you just got to have good aim against an attacker if you want to use it for self-defense which is no problem for me., and thank you for your charitable work
The manual safety is easy to sweep forward to turn to fire and harder to move from fire to safe mode. Also it comes with a mag loader that is not on the table. The mag loader helps a lot.
I use strictly CCI Ammunition. I went to the range yesterday and put 200 down range and my Ruger LCP 2 .22 didn't jam or misfire one time.
Agreed, my range time is way too limited and far between to mess with junk ammo.
My wife has the LCPII in the .380, so it seems like this would be a great gun just to practice with. She can do a lot of shooting without having the recoil of the little 380 and get used to handling the same size and style of gun.
I know it’s late, but the LCP II chambered in 22LR comes with a loader for the magazines. Doesn’t work the best, but it’s better than nothing. It could use to go up the casing a little more when you push the round down, as it makes the round point up a little; I just tilt the loader a bit to fix that.
That 22 hits and at close range is a deadly round!
I believe the sound alone is enough to deter any bad guy. I love this gun in the summer in the pocket. Way easier to carry that way then my 9mm
Body hits with a large caliber don't deter some bad guys. Aim for the head if you only have a 22

"Cutting my fangers every time I put a boollet in there."
👍😂that’s how some of us talk in the Carolinas also.
Bought one for my daughter. She likes semiautos better than revolvers when we go to the range.
The most effective use of this in self defense is the deterrent stop. AKA, the bad guy sees you have a gun and rethinks his life choices. Which is pretty common. Apart from that, learning to accurately shoot a pocket pistol can be pretty hard and having a .22 to train with is a great thing.
Problem with that is that it's easier to learn to control recoil if you use a larger caliber. I only say this from experience. I started with a .45 acp after trying to actually use a 9mm as my starter.
You shouldn't be pulling your pistol, nor advertising or brandishing your concealed carry pistol. You only pull it to serve the target when the assailant is going to hurt or kill you or someone else or already has a weapon and is approaching and verbally threatening.
@@linzmcgeorge I think his point was that we'd all like to have a bad situation end safely for us without anyone dying. It certainly will have much less paperwork than waiting til the absolute last nanosecond and sending lots of bullets all over the place.
@Ben Smith, don't ever do it. This is coming from a retired L..E..O.
God I wish people would stop perpetuating this ignorant notion. The old "the sound of racking the shotgun will be enough" crowd 🥴
Just bought one. New to guns. I have Sig Sauer 380. But to big, difficult to pull slide back. I am 63, very small hands, crippled with arthritis. Can't wait to try and compare.
My Mom is disabled (Lupus). She does not have the strength to pick up a 5lb bag of sugar anymore. She is almost never alone, but when she is, this is the firearm she depends on for her protection.
The best carry pistol for self defense is the one you have with/on you. Maybe one of these in 32 ACP who help with reliability and help people who have recoil issues with the 380.
I got the .380acp Ruger lcp, and it was more accurate than my glock42. I like these small guns as back up ankle holster, and wouldn't mind this 22LR to add to my collection.
My wife purchased bothe the 22 and the 380. She carries the 380 for self defense and uses the 22 for training, being that both guns are very similar in size and cost of ammo. I really enjoy ur vids with all of the info available and break down. Thanx
When these first came out I was wondering what the point was, but the truth is there are a lot of folks out there who have physical limitations or else are extremely recoil-shy. I think Ruger recognizes that and feels that a .22 in the pocket beats the .380 version that someone sold off because they didn't like the recoil. My only advice is to stick to using .22 ammo that will actually go off, like Mini-Mags or Stingers. Bulk ammo is not good for defense as the dud rate is often very high.
22lr is SO UNDERRATED!!!...Ive heard police officer's factual statements of the 22lr being VERY effective...one being that a homeinvader was shot in the chest with a 22lr round and his right lung collapsed...
A hits a hit & many are chillin in the cemetery due to a 22LR.
You hit the gong with such a small pistol. Awesome!
I always laugh at when people try and figure out the “intention” of a pistol, like no one can carry it for self defense. At the end of the day it’s a f’in gun. That’s what it is....
I think that’s because guns are designed with a purpose and intention, literally that’s the conversation between the marketing department and a design team. It’s a expensive gamble to be wrong.
I own this gun and absolutely love it. It’s one of the most fun guns I own to shoot.
I’ve never seen a 2 liter spray him as much as that blue one did.
Kentucky must be seeking revenge..lol
I was an early adopter of the LCP 2 22lr bought one the first week they were available. Absolutely love it! Is my pocket gun for small pest around the farm. Mainly rattle snakes. Is very accurate for the job! Also as a bonus it’s a really fun plinker that weighs nothing and fits in any kind of clothing pocket.
Regarding a statistic: in 92% of the cases where Firearms are used for actual self defense the gun is not even fired - so I guess for most cases even a .22 LR is better than nothing. You don't actually wanna be hit even by that small "plinking" gun (it still causes potentially deadly wounds)
A 22lr is enough make people realize they dont like getting shot. lol
If I'm at the point of pulling the gun, I'm pulling the trigger.
Hi
I live in Wales 🏴 70, housebound love guns so have a collection of airsoft gas pistols.
I just read an article from someone in Detroit who had been working out in his local park at one o’clock in the morning and as he was walking home he saw a kid pedalling like crazy and then saw a large pit bull chasing him. Realising it wasn’t going to catch the kid the dog changed direction and came at the storyteller. As he was in shorts he was carrying a Ruger just like the one you have been demonstrating and fortunately it was racked and the safety was off. He shot at the dog expecting to have to use the full clip but his first bullet hit it in the neck and that was enough for it and it turned around and ran away!
His lucky night I guess.
Keep up the good work I enjoy your enjoyment 🎉
One thing to note about using this as a carry gun: it's LIGHT. 11.2 oz (317.5 g). And the .22 ammo is going to be lighter than most other rounds so the round itself, comparatively, contributes to the lightness. I bought mine to clip on quickly for zero-dark-thirty runs. Even my sub compact 9mms are MUCH heavier and more annoying to run with concealed. (Also, it's quite loud which indeed has an impact of its own, particularly in civilian use situations.)
Yeah, noise is a consideration, especially in a self-defense situation. I have lifetime tinnitus from one target session with a .357 and ill-fitting earplugs.
He is probably one of the best shots in the world. I would love to have his shooting skills.
KelTec P32... Recoil close to a .22LR, yet the reliability of a center fire round. You can also get the pistol new for about $230. Just make sure you get round nose FMJ for practice, not the flat tip FMJ.
Señor, es usted un verdadero tirador, es primera ves q le escribo pero siempre miro sus videos y me parecen excelentes 👍
everybody gangsta till a garden gnome pulls out this gat
Lmao
* spit out coffee laughing at this one!
This gun has been perfect for my youngest child. He has really small hands and some of the other handguns were too big for him. He really enjoys the lcp2 22lr
That's great. Just beware with these tiny guns, it's easy to put your hand in front of the muzzle, compared to a longer gun.
Loved your channel for years! Thank you for all you do for us all.
This is a great backup gun, and I can carry it in my pocket if i'm not walking very far and dont feel like wearing a larger EDC. I can even use it with sweat pants with the right holster. I just bought this little 22, i'm happy with it. Fast and easy follow up shots, much better than a 380. In a self-defense sit, i probably would keep shooting until the threat stops.
Nice video sir! I bought one last month and love it, I have 700 rounds through it and not a single issue. Had it out with the wife and she liked it so much I had to go get her one for a backup carry, 300 rounds through hers and no issues there either. Like was said in the video, it is strangely nice feeling in the hands for the size of it and a fun little .22 plinker. This pistol may have just put my Ruger SR22 on the chopping block.
I disagree, every gun is a self defense gun. I grew up and Still live in NYC. This was carried by vad guys for years. I've seen gunfights unfortunately and he he draws , shoots, and most importantly hits first, Usually wins. Not always but oftentimes. I love this channel and piece.
Years ago in my healthy days I got all over Priest Lake near Nashville in my inflatable boat using a trolling motor for an outboard.
One thing concerned me: the possibility of meeting cottonmouths in and around the tree roots on the many islands I landed on and explored. I understand they can be ugly when disturbed.
This would have been great to carry along in a plastic bag loaded with CCI shotshells. At the time I carried my Ruger Bearcat (no WAY was I toting my Mk.II) and hated the idea of getting it wet if I ever had to use it (happily I didn't), the only negative. I think this is an elegant little lightweight niche gun for similar situations but I'll echo other comments saying the one thing that would improve it and make it _perfect_ for the task would be chambering it in .22 Magnum.
Glenn Horowitz definitely agree 22 magnum. I carried my LCP 380 on priest lake for the same reason, those cottonmouths can be vicious.
Yes... the cotton mouths need lead! They can be vicious.... we don’t have them in East Tenn though. But, someday, they may migrate over here. Be careful on Priest Lake!
Picking one up on Friday for plinking in weekends at the range.
"That's pretty much the dope on it." Oh, gun grandpa, I love you.
Just applied for my conceal carry license. 3-6 they told me. This is definitely the gun I'll be looking into.
I’d like a bigger magazine in mine. But 10+1 bee stings will make most run for cover.
I love the reviews you do on ccw pistols, but I have a wife that carries a 21A bobcat with the new federal punch self defense ammo. She is an older lady that has arthritis. She can't fire a larger pistol or begin to rack one. She's very good at hitting an 8 inch plate at 7 yds with the bobcat. The new ammo has never failed to go bang everytime. The ammo out of that gun is very effective at meeting FBI standards in ballistics gel. 9mm is great if you can carry it, but a little lady and a 22lr is still better than a big stick that she can't carry in her purse. Wish you could run a few rounds of the punch fast burn short barrel ammo out of a little 22lr lcp 2 into ballistics gel to see just how effective it is for older people. Thanks for channel as I enjoy watching, Tom
Hickok is the man . Great reviews , fun to watch . Great shooting range , fun !
It sure looks tiny in the hands of Hickok 45. Of course a howitzer also looks small in his larger than sasquash Hans. Hickok 45 - our favorite giant. Over the years so many of us have learned so much from this man. Hickok 45, we thank you and we salute you.
