I have one of these and it is a beautiful, high quality item. About as close to a sword as you can get without it actually being a sword. And my securex sheath most definitely holds the knife in place, in fact it is quite an effort to remove it. You just have to push the knife in firmly. Highly recommend this tanto.

I got the Tanto Magnum II 7.5" blade today. Arm hair shaving sharp. Hair rolling off my arm like a razor! Handle texture is sublime. Sticks to the hand without being sticky. Sheath locks up solid on the guard/Quillian. (Pleasantly surprised) I wish the blade and handle were a bit wider, but small picking nits there. I bought a Kabar Next Gen Tanto in early 2000s. It's made of a Swedish steel, and I carried it through OIF 1-3. When I returned, I loaned it to a guy deploying to OEF. Now it rides as my truck knife. LOL. Anyway, now I need to get the CS Tanto XII after getting this Tanto II 7.5. Oh BTW, I had a Bark River Knife Shinigami 3V. It's a heartier, thicker handled tanto, but no guard. I have a mental complex about imaging my hand sliding down the handle onto the blade, so I sold it off for that only reason. I will then need the Trail Master, Tai Pan, and SRK. Before the GSM moves production to China. Thanks for the video!

Well done presentation Flight channel. I have a personal encounter that is pertinent to this video. The B737 300 was the first to have a trim WHEEL replaced by an unprotected vertical switch. We were on the ground on stop over, and the stew walked in and sat on the jump seat behind me, putting a foot on the pedestal. I objected, and she removed her foot which then revealed the switch. I took a second look at the switch and saw that it had run the rudder trim full right. I remember saying to the F/O, "this switch is a dumb design that is going to kill someone unless it is protected.
A little while later, I had a government check pilot travelling with us in the cockpit, and related the above experience to him, about the accident potential of an unprotected switch. He said to me "It already has done". I think he was possibly referring to your story above. Anyway, Boeing finally had a guard put over the switch. Engineers aren't always imaginative when it comes to how things can go wrong. MCAS anyone?

The one that I got the sheath would lock the knife in place and it was impossible to remove it without the use of a flat head screwdriver. I ended up using a heat gun and it works much better. I'm still going to make a leather sheath for it as I prefer leather.

Have a Magnum Tanto II, mine holds in the sheath very securely. Whish they still had a nice leather sheath as they used to be. Fits the whole style better i think. They have the Master tanto in satin in Cpm-3V now as well. So they may or may not offer the entire lineup in 3V in the future. Not sure if that means that they quit doing San-Mai now, the Trailmaster and the other Bowies come out in 3V as well.

It is a little on the small side, But I don't feel like I'm going to let it slip out under hard use. Property hard to rehandle this blade Eli? Thanks for watching

That's a Flair knife, that knife will probably never be used, same as my Katana, Wakizashi and Tanto. I did use CS Kobun,it's not bad..It's a beautiful knife but not for me,too pretty 😂 Nightfall $195 San Mai $380 CDN too much for my pocket...

They're beautiful knives, Just not practical for camping or home use. I just bought the San Mai Tai Pan to add to collection, Beautiful knife with wicked edges! Not my first choice for self defense or stabbing a hood! Thanks for watching and Happy New year

you are not putting the knife all the way into the sheath until it clicks about another 3/8th of a inch

Thanks for the suggestion Rickie, Unfortunately on that Secure-Ex sheath, The retention wasn't there. Exchanged the knife and all is well. Thanks for watching and Happy New year

My sheath is tight, push 🔪 in and it won't budge!! You must have a faulty sheath!!

😮 most sheath that they make are crummy I am a knife Collector 2 very few companies make good sheath my favorite knives are buck and they make excellent sheath you just got to make sure that they're not made in China because most things made in China are imitation or I should say crap

I've never understood how a lot of companies make a beautiful knife and than skimp on the sheath. LIONSTEEL makes an awesome sheath for most of their fixed offerings too. Thanks for watching James

CS is grossly overpriced for what you get especially when they outsource everything to china...I bought a 25$ clone on Amazon. Cpm3v steel and everything.

The newer GSM Cold Steel products are overpriced as you say, But deals are still around, Especially on Amazon occasionally. I will bet my house the $25 clone is not 3V(not possible) and is not even Chinese D2 or 8CR! Thanks for watching

when it's new it takes more power to push the knife all the way in the sheeet, but then it holds very good
