Definitely my favorite blade from Cold Steel, love the feel of this bad boy. If you're on the edge of buying this puppy - go for it, you will definitely be glad you did. Already had mine for months, but seeing this cut and stress test makes me that much more happy with my purchase. Top quality company. Have had their knives for years with zero malfunctions or issues. Also the ti-lite 6 in blade is a great EDC in my opinion. Perfect for precision.
So happy to see Andrew back. Big fan from uk
Great demonstration of the quality of Cold Steel
That is awesome performance!!! Stood up to some very difficult tests extremely well at ANY price point! Flawless!
😅🤣🤣🤣 1:27 The noise the blade makes as it's slicing through the air! Insane!
Cold Steel does it again!!
Cold Steel for life!! Carrying the 15 today!!
Can you please run the same test with the 3v?
My favorite knife firm. I have a lot of Cold Steel knives, including such a knife.
Dear Cold steel, I have recently bought
two of your knives. The urban edge, and SRK-C. And boy, these are the best knives I have ever purchased. razor sharp, and amazing quality. Thanks for the amazing products.
My knife I bought from you guys just came in! Really excited to open it!
What was it?
We need to know.....
I got a Rajah ll in March. I'm still in awe.
If you shake it hard enough, it will cut it’s way out of the box!
@@mechagodzilla8210 Its the Tokyo spike
@@satanthedevil3674 woah that's sick lookin
Thank you for making something I can depend on.
it is tough knife!!!! i have my Reacon Tanto San Mai it is more than 7 years and still best knife!!!! thank you Cold Steel!!!
Most my knives are Cold Steel. Great quality(usually better than higher priced competitors), can't say enough about them.
Wow, that is an amazing knife!
Awesome demo.. thank you
Awesome blade! I have two of them.
If that handle were 2 inches longer.... I'd buy it. Crazy awesome and beautiful tho!
No one beats Cold Steel. No one tests their product like this.
why a longer handle, the handle is quite long allready. It is not a two handed sword it's a knife. And you must be able to change grip fast, so the grip is perfect. These grips are the best grips CS has ever made.
Agreed, i love mine but yeah i wish the handle was a little longer, people with small hands wont understand.
@semadragun Yes, and most people have never used a short sword for anything. You need a little play in the handle. A 12 inch Tanto has been on my wish list for many years. They're very aerodynamic.
Actually orders this yesterday for myself can wait to try it out now!¡!
A very convincing knife to ask an unwanted element to leave the premises immediately 😉👍🏻 Fantastic demonstration of cutting/slicing power 😁 Grueling bend test 😳 One little thing… especially for a Tanto this size you could have considered to demonstrate the impact of a fast forward thrust/stab with the tip 😁
Very impressive puncture power
Wow, amazing knife! This is not a tool, it's a weapon.
Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.
my fave EDC has turned out to be the ti-lite 4 zytel. Always wanted one because it looks cool, never thought it'd be practical. Boy was I wrong, it's like a perfect knife. Even my 9yo daughter loves it. We were in the woods cutting sticks, gave her the ti-lite to try instead of her Mora. After a few cuts she said I could keep the Mora, lol
I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!!
Nice vid!
Demko makes awesome knifes
Bought 3 knifes from them ..the Western Hunter, the commercial Skinner and the plastic dagger..love all three and I love cold steel.....I live in Georgia and they ship anywhere I guess....
Love it!
Gonna have to get me one of those
I would love to see this in a folder, like a Voyager tanto or a SR1 tanto.
Thumbs up if you agree and want one too.
You would need pants with pockets that go all the way to your knee. But I love the idea.
The Rajah ll that I got in the mail in March is everything I need and more. Anything else is a sword. Imagine a walking stick with this in it.
I had my first two Tanto in San Mai in the beginning of the '90's. Lost both due to my divorce. But I stayed a big fan of the Cold Steel Tanto.
As soon as my finances are back on track I'll get me one.
For starters....
Makes me Want one!
Oh! Imma get one!
Hello Mr. Demko. I have seen your great comparing knife videos and waiting for SOG Seal XR lock vs your design Triad Lock Recon 1.. I think that's going to be a mind blowing comparison! I hope you like this idea. Keep healthy and keep doing great videos. Please, thank you :)
I have the Magnum Warcraft Tanto sitting right by my bed with tactical grip tape around the handle.
All black, all sharp, all ready. Anytime Anywhere. ⚔️ 😁 👍
Klidek lidi,ohnete i samurajsky mec!Takze jsem vklidu🙂!
Love that blade. I'll ask until I get an answer. Is there going to be a Cold Steel auto? Really like to the a Recon 1 auto
I have the 6" Master Tanto in San Mai, which was one of the last ones sold before Lynn sold the company. There are a couple of surface blemishes on it, including a small vertical scratch on the left side of the spine that you can feel with a thumb nail, as well as horizontal surface scratches on the left-side of the spine stretching about half-the length of the blade. I half-considered sending it back, but seeing as how it's going to be a carry knife and probably used for car defense, then I opted not to. It also wasn't as sharp as I expected it to be. But my next blade will be a Master Tanto in 3V, so hopefully it will be finished better than this one was. Overall, I give my San Mai version a 3 out of 5.
The knives are superb, but the Secure-Ex sheaths are unsafe junk.
It's beautiful...
Coldsteel folders are the best .
The ole pipe for added leverage, nice!
You had me at two
Why was the 12" warcraft tanto discontinued? Bring it back, warcraft tantos are by fare the best.
Will coldsteel not be doing the warcraft tanto xl anymore and if not will we get a similar replacement not that I don't love and have a magnum tanto
Just got mine for $200 from Amazon, best $200 I’ve spent in years! Only thing I can think of that could beat that value is the 10/22 I bought for $150 2 years ago ;)
amazing strength
Has anyone of you tested these newer versions against the old 1980’s made in Japan version? I bought the whole set of the tantos back when I was in my early 20’s some of the best knives I’ve owned 👍🏽
i think the new ones are better and better design. And the ricasso is not so stupid long, so more edge. The steel technology is also better. They are perfecktly ground blades and put together. They are just allways perfecktly made knives.
I wish I had shit like this as my job. Man... 😂
All I can say is fantastic, beyond that I’ve got nothing.
LT: Well done
I’m buying a Master Tanto VG 10 San Mai” I’m sold!!
hey guys why does my bush ranger lite rattle when i shake it
I wonder if they use the factory edge or they resharpen them for these performance tests
Factory edge, since customers expect to replicate the same cuts with same speed, strength, and skill levels.
Is it really that sharp out of the box?
Hi Guys, I have an original Sai Mai Magnum Tanto from the early 2000's and the leather sheath is looking old and tired. Can you buy the new Kadex sheaths separately to replace my old leather version??? Thanks
It would fit great to my Mini Tanto 13ASG. Damn you make me poor Cold Steel...but perhaps the Magnum II would be enough because it's smaller and better conceilable.
Có bán qua Việt Nam 🇻🇳 cty không?
Sooo, what would happen if, say, you take the same blade, give it a stonewash finish, and use Griv-Ex instead of Aluminum for the handle fittings?
Maybe a Magnum Scout could cut the price by 30%?
I'd definitely take AUS-10 if that would knock the price down even more, VG-10 and AUS-10 are roughly equivalent in my mind so if AUS-10 costs significantly less then I'd say it's the better option.
Better yet, high-carbon steel, 15 inch blade, keep the handle the same. Sell it for $160.
@@elihollingsworth6852 Most likely the factory making these can't Heat Treat anything longer than 18", so the blade length is probably fixed at 12".
The handle is probably where most of the cost of the knife is, so without changing that you're not going to cut the price very much.
@@budthecyborg4575 I don't really see how the handle would cost that much; it's mostly the San mai blade which is ridiculous anyway.
The handle fittings are stainless steel.
I'm talking about the Master Tanto.
VG10, San Mai, What is the other metal used if it is San Mai?????
I really love the different models of the Cold Steel Tanto but I must admit that I prefer the ones made in Japan. In my opinion a wonderful blade like that shall have a leather sheath and nothing else.
Hi Andrew D!!!
If that blade had snapped when he pushed it the other way, he woulda cut his arm open... safety first :)
Well, you can cut around corners now.
What’s that BEATLES song? Happiness is Cold Steel?
Это очень круто!!! 👍👍👍
LYNN is the master showman.
I work my ass off and still can't afford to get one if these beautiful blades. I'm a cold steel fan, big time, but they are soooo expensive. I'll keep dreaming.
Not that bad the price . I use Klarna to buy my more expensive knifes . Zero interest and you pay the first payment upfront and 3 more payments every 2 weeks . Zero interest…. Just purchased the Spyderco darn dao flash batch . They had 1 left at blade hQ and it’s a beast . It was 455 total and I pay 121 ever other week . Have 1 payment left. Then my next Klarna use is for the Medford Usmc fighter. It’s 500 bucks . I could buy it straight up , but why if it’s zero interest. Plus I can save my cash if I need it , and when you’re done paying them off it’s like you got it for free in a crazy way . I only say that is because all the money I would waste each paycheck on stupid shit like scratch tickets and other junk . Knowing I have to make my payments keeps me from wasting money on crap that is worthless from Walmart or 711 . Plus high end knifes are a investment. Well the ones I buy
Have mercy, please send me one!!!
You guys should make conan's sword
I wonder if my SRK VG-10 San mai could do that
Is this the made in Japan version?
Holy crap how mushhhh??
yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 1#
Mr. Thompson, for those of us who like to EDC fixed blades (particularly in urban environments) have you ever given thought to a sub 4 inch Tanto with a securex sheath you than can be worn for cross draw? Thanks for listening sir!
They already make one, the Cold Steel Mini-Tac Tanto. Absolutely fantastic tool. 3.75" of Japanese Aus8a steel. If you want to carry it cross draw you will need to also purchase their C-clips -- size small I believe.
You should look out for a Mini Tanto 13ASG full guard. It has the same style than this Magnum XII in a much smaller package. Love mine !
@@christexas4683 yes, but I'm looking for something with a full four finger purchase most importantly and a pommel
@@angelheart7643 that's exactly what I want! That old school Cold Steel but in a more compact package.
@@petercardona1559 You sometimes see them in Ebay.
Cold Steel Mini Tanto 13ASG. Good luck bro.
More knife abuse! I can’t imagine doing this. It makes me squint and clench my jaw.
Music?
Nikdy jsem nechtěl vlastnit moc nožů, ale nejde to
Found an exact clone of this on amazon for 25$. Amazing deal. And the knife is awesome. Razor sharp and tough as nails.
Made in Japan?
Отличные ножи, когда вы откроете магазин в России?
I purchased a cold steel immortal in September of this year, was very excited to add another triad lockback tanto addition to my CS knife collection, and the USPS delivery service lost the knife in the mail! I filed a report to the postal inspection service last month and they've done absolutely nothing to date. I was home waiting for the package the whole time to arrive. Even took off work while I received two other separate orders in the mail that day. Unable to get a refund from the online retailer as the package shows it was "delivered". Absolute incompetence from my local USPS service as I take a huge loss for their "error" they're not willing to admit.
Delivered for Biden
WHEN I BUY ANYTHING I USE AMAZON AND IF THE PACKAGE IS LOST AMAZON WILL REPLACED AFTER 2 DAYS

日本じゃ規制?がキツクなってきたせいかAmazonでもコールドスチールのナイフが少なくなってきた。
欲しいよ~!!
Is it true that Lynn is selling the company?
@HOSTILE MGTOW There were two guys in the Cold Steel nation group on Facebook who are friends with 2 different employees. Both said that Lynn is in the process of selling the company.
@HOSTILE MGTOW Agreed. That's why I made sure to ask it here. Hopefully they respond and clarify.
@@1917cutlass Interesting. I'm not aware of anything like that but thanks for giving us a heads up about the rumors.
@@csknives Glad to hear that it's likely false!
@HOSTILE MGTOW I sincerely hope so.

Friend, the way that knife went through that rope is the same as if the knife had broken, a piece of that steel could go through that cheesy "safety visor" or your chest cavity.
audio is all over the place
I already have my second knife from Cold Steel, which I received was relatively blunt. Very annoying. (recon tanto san Mai)
First one
I put off buying this knife way too long!
🖖1️⃣👍
Lol!!

Painful to watch you bend that blade.
I don't consdier that a true test of its sharpness, but of strength. When you hit your target in a downward sloping attack, the resistance is enhanced by that downward stroke against it being held aloft with a hook. If you truly want to test the sharpness of that blade, hit that rope at a 90-degree angle perpendicular to that hanging length of rope. Almost all of the Katana videos I've seen with a person slicking through a bundle of reeds, do so at a downward angle. It is all for show !
The sheats are crap and not sutable for the more high end knives they make. It's a real shame and they scratch and dulls the edges and dont allways fit the knife that well eather. And they are ugly as sin.
