This just popped up in my suggested videos. I subbed and cant wait to see your previous videos..BTW I love Cory at Desert Diy. She definitely is an inspiration Jo
You’re very kind, thank you!! I wish I knew what paint but it was an oops color from Lowe’s snd I don’t have the can anymore. It was a soft white and I used the same white diluted as a paint wash on the wood on top. ❤️
I was trying to find the video of you refinishing the kitchen table with all the paint on it but couldn’t find it. Did you make a video dedicated to just that one? It’s gorgeous!!! And I wanted to try to follow suit on our kitchen table. Gosh everything it just beautiful! I also definitely need to try out that sea salt redo you did because I have a side table similar to that one that has so much damage and this would be a great look as well :) Just thank you so much for putting yourself out there and sharing :)
Hey Pamela! I didn’t make a video of that one 😢 my husband actually did it quickly one weekend! Basically just chalk paint the whole set in a taupe color and then distressed the top heavily with an orbital sander or by hand w/220 grit paper, then clear coat with Minwax wipe on polyurethane or a clear matte water based poly. It’s a great before and after and I really wish I had the footage! Let me know if you have any other questions I didn’t mention ❤️
@@blacksheephouse wow thanks for the quick reply and details! It is a shame theres no video but your details and the clips I saw are definitely a huge help! I’m definitely going to try this out :) Thanks again!!!
I just found your channel and I’m binge watching! The 3rd piece you did looks like it had already been painted. Did you prep it at all before painting? I’m new and just got a dresser that looks like it’s been chalk painted and never sealed. Should I prep it or just paint over it?? Thanks for your videos!
I always give a scuff sand with 220 grit sanding sponge and clean with dish soap or simple green. But yes, you can definitely paint over any paint if you use chalk paint or a primer first ❤️
Hi Shannon I love ur channel. Can’t believe what u do with the pieces .I do have a query. I have dark bedroom furniture maybe mahogany I would love to refresh it .I want to keep it dark but have marks and it has lost its shine .please give me some advice xx ps I’m from Ireland 🇮🇪 am a huge fan ☘️☘️Bernardine
Thanks! I use a water based glaze a lot too but those may be even harder for you to find. You could use an oil based paint with similar results, you may need to dilute it with paint thinner. You could also try thinning regular paint with water or floetral.
ua-cam.com/video/MKTcHhcDDoA/v-deo.html This video shows in detail, but I used Zinnser primer, Behr paint in the color open canyon and the Varathane gel stain in the color Briarsmoke ❤️
it's about 4 inches wide I think, maybe 6, It's just the hand held one from home depot. And make sure to watch my video this saturday because I'm posting a water based product version with products from home depot
Hey Dina! That was SW pure white, I get mine at lowes called HGTV ovation paint (it’s a line by SW) and I make my own one step paint with it. The one step paint recipe is on my channel you can check it out ❤️On the top I did a paint wash with the same color, about 60% paint 40% water and wipe it on with a rag and wipe away excess. You can do it as many times as you like to get the color you want. Then I topcoat with water based polyurethane (any brand)
I found your channel a week or so ago and I just want to let you know how much you have inspired me . More than the 50 (exaggerating lol) other furniture painters I’ve been watching for the last 2 years. Well, except for Brandi lol and maybe a couple others 😊. So I’m sharing! ♥️

Fabulous work 😍
Amazing work as always! 💯
Thanks, Rebecca!!
I love watching your videos. If a piece is in good condition , do I need to sand? I confused on when to sand or not to sand .
I just LOVE your work ❤️ Everything turns out so beautifully! Could you please tell me the paint colour you used on the dresser @12:40?

Where do u sell your big pieces? I have a few pieces I have finished but not sure how and where to sell them. Thank u for your help.
I sell my large items on Facebook marketplace and I really like it, no fees!!
Do you also do repairs? It seams like old drawers tend to get broken or don't slide well.
Yes, a lot of repairs 😅 I have a video alll about drawer slides and what I do and resources for replacing slides
@@blacksheephouse woo hoo I'm looking that up!

Really liked how you have done those first two dressers. Could you pls list the paints and stains you used and the colours? Thx

@@blacksheephouse is the Behr paint is waterbased? What sort of paint did you use under the gel stain?

EVERYTHING in my home is painted with Cashmere by Sherwin Williams GREAT product
I've posted before and I'm posting again, freaking WOW. I feel so stupid for buying brand new furniture in my past.
Thanks! I’m glad you’re here ❤️
I just love the music 🎼 🎶
Do you list it somewhere 🤭😉❤️
What did you use exactly for front and top of the 9 drawer white front & wood top dresser?

Love your furniture videos! Would you be so kind to link the individual videos? So much to learn!
I’ll work on that asap ❤️
love the projects, love the end results BUT i did not enjoy the annoying music, nor the speedy gonzalez speed of the video...
Is that plaster of Paris?
