- A beginner 30 minute chair exercise class designed for seniors or beginners wanting the option of chair exercises. Suitable for anyone looking to get back into fitness. Ideal for seniors, older adults, those with mobility issues, or beginners. Water bottles or food cans can be used for weights if needed.

I know that some people are not happy with you talking. I love it. I have a nephew who is blind, and I am encouraging him to try your programs. He is wheelchair bound suffering from Ataxia and is only in his mid 30's. I let you talk without being bothered because I know what exercise is next and I just start so I can do extra reps. It is so important that you talk to encourage people who have unbelievable challenges in their life that many people have no idea how hard their life is!

Have been doing your exercises about a month as close to 7 days a week as possible. Yesterday I noticed I now just pop up out of my chair after so many sit to stands! That was not the case a few weeks ago!!!!! Thanks you so much for your youtube exercises!!!!

Still doing your exercises as many times a week as I can. I am now keeping a ball squeezed between my knees during many of the exercises to increase the workout.

@@ImprovedHealth Well, one of my issues is my shoulders, worse on the left. I just adjust the arm raises as I can tolerate. Of course, it's kind of limited what you can do in a chair, but you've developed some very good workouts. Thanks again!

I have been rotating some of the classes this week and the cardio ones definitely make me sweat! I need to sit in chair or use chair as support while standing but I am able to do with some light weights. I also did the one to work on balance. I hope that I can stay motivated and continue with these because I think they can be helpful with my mobility and strength! Thanks for these exercises!

I go to an exercise program once a week at a nearby community centre. I'm the youngest there (age 37) since everyone else is either late thirties or middle aged to senior. I love doing your workouts.

Hi Jules, while I've been doing stretching it feels like I will turn into Jello if I don't start moving again! So I did this one and it really felt good to use some of my muscles again. I can't believe how tired I've become in just the few days I havent exercised. I see my doctor later today and am hoping for a green light on movement even though I still have a tiny bit of discomfort. Thanks Jules!
I know what you mean...I feel the same way if I haven't been able to exercise. The gentle seated workouts will also work well if your doctor thinks you need to have more rest. The gentle ones are more about working on range of motion and getting in some light exercise. I hope today went well.
I like this exercise. My doctor said to do chair exercises/yoga for sciatica to relieve pain.

I have knee replacements so cannot do many floor excersises or running/jumping. So I do stationary biking, but these movements are great on off days for upper body, especially. Good, solid program. Thanks!

I enjoyed this workout, after my hip being mad at me yesterday for some reason, I wasn't sure how I'd fit in some kind of movement/exercise today. Then this video popped up, it was just what I needed and my hip didn't yell at me once, haha. Thanks!

Question for you Jules: I am an 80-year-old guy and love the challenge of this. Is every other way about right for this routine no matter what else one is doing?
Hi! I just want to make sure I understand your question, do you mean, 'is every other day about right'? If so, you can do this every day if you wish. To see the most benefits, my suggestion is to pick different workouts throughout the week since each workout is slightly different and you'll target different muscles. I really liked this! I have MS which affects my legs so the leg part is difficult, but it did get my heart rate up which is rare for me Since I can’t move fast!

Love these seated exercise routines. I have one question for anyone monitoring the comments. I cannot point my toes due to severe damage to my feet in an auto accident. What can I do to instead?
Hi Iris, it's Jules here. I read all of the comments on my channel. Don't worry about not being able to point your toes. Just do a heel tap or do the best with what you can do. You're moving and being physically active and doing the workout to the best of your abilities, which is great. You'll still definitely benefit from the workout whether you do a toe or heel tap:)

Hi Jules. Love your programs which I use with my fellow residents in my retirement village and present at a Day Centre for Seniors, many with early dementia. (I like your Dementia videos especially for this group). I have a problem at the Day Centre though - the equipment available does not include WiFi and it's a bit of a problem having to take my laptop, dongle, speakers, cords etc with me. Is it possible to get your videos on CDs or even in a form that I can download onto a memory stick? Happy to pay for these of course.
I'm 83yrs, I live in Sydney, Australia. I started doing You Tube exercise videos when we were first locked down with Covid - and I've never gone back to my previous exercise classes. Many friends in my village were in the same situation so we get together to do your programs now - doing it together is more motivating.

I totally agree with you but it's very complicated trying to find music that is allowed to be used. I recently created one with popular oldies and it got blocked due to copyright laws. I would use popular oldies all the time if I could.

I do wish either the music was turned down quite a bit lower or completely off. It’s so distracting and quite loud. But I do appreciate the classes I really do.
I wish I had turned the music down in this one. Editing has been an ongoing learning process and dealing with the music and sound, is always challenging. Once the video is up, I can't edit the sound level.

I just started the 30 minute 5 day chair workouts for seniors , I’m 61 and have back problems, and breathing issues , this is great for me. I just finished day 2 , but only see it up to day 5 for the chair exercises, will you have more of them later. I do them from my tv and go to my phone to comment. Would love to continue them after day 5 is done.

The gentle workouts are designed mostly for range of motion, flexibility with some strength & minimal cardio. The beginner ones are a step up with more cardio and strength exercises. The intermediate workouts likely have too much movement for your back so you might want to stick with the beginner level workouts. I also create gentle standing workouts which should be fine for your back and breathing since they are designed to be gentle movements. After you get through more of the workouts, let me know if you feel something is missing:)

@@niknik3366 All of the cardio workouts (especially the intermediate level) will help to burn calories (which includes helping tummy fat). You could also incorporate the seated core workouts daily which will help to tighten up the abdominal area.

Hi Barry, I can't add it now since it would mean totally uploading a new video but I am starting to include a timer in newer videos. Thank you for the feedback...I have heard from others they enjoy a timer as well.

It can be normal to feel a little bit of soreness if you're new to certain exercises but hopefully it doesn't last long. If you ever feel it's too much when you're doing it, you can do a little bit less with the reps until you get used to the workouts:)

My mother has macular degeneration. If you added contrast to the picture it would be helpful. A dark background with light clothing or vice Versa.
