I'll stick with the A7III for now. The 4k video image on the IV is almost identical to the III. Better Autofocus would be a "nice to have" feature, but I think the A7III is doing a good enough job here. Not worth the 1k extra money (at least for me). I'd rather invest in a new lens, OR maybe someday I buy the Lumix S5II which has not only 4k60fps uncroped, but also 6K30fps. And it is even cheaper than the A7IV.

I always record in HLG3 on the A7III and never noticed what you showed at 12:04. I think the advantages of HLG3 outweigh the disadvantages (and a lot of people on YT do record in HLG3 on the III).

the 4k25p on the A7III has more sharpness and detail than the Iv and S3. I would expect the A7siii to look the softest because its 12mp sensor, but I would think the A7iv to dominate because of its 33mp.
The Sony A7IV is by no means the device that brings as many novelties and improvements as it should have. A low gust, a horrible rolling shutter, a perfectible stabilization, a cropping in 4K, no 4K120, and more...
It only has cropping at 60 FPS... no one constantly records at 60 FPS.. that just for slow motion so, you will not feel the crop. Why do you use 60 fps at all times? Also the rolling shutter is better than A7siii ... and why is that a problem for you? Do you like to run or pan the camera really really fast? If that´s the case you may feel something sometimes.. but for normal use, you will not notice. You will only notice the sharpness and the clean and beautiful image.
I noticed that you have a Tamron 17-28mm. I am wondering if we should treat Tamron lenses seriously or just stick to Sony i.e 20mm F.18, 35 mm F1.8 etc. Thanks!

The fact that you measure “quality” by how “sharp” an image is in video tells me you know very little about videography/cinematography. Pro cinematographers/videographers literally use vintage lenses, custom cine lenses, or filters to REDUCE sharpess. Believe me when I tell you, sharpness does NOT equal quality.
I’m trying to choose a7c2 and zve1 and watching this because it has the same sensor. In slog - a7iv seems to have better noise ? Is that because the 7k makes the grain smaller? In higher ISO the noise pattern of A7S3 has larger noise patterns.

Hmmm, what exactly did you expect? A camera that will be better than siii for less money?

I'm 4k I'd probably agree, because of that downsampling, but in 1080p the a7 iii is soft as hell, especially if shooting in 120p
