Dang Mildred, sorry to hear about your unrelated arm injury. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, your doctor seems like a smart person. Here’s to things clearing up by next week!
I had a haunted TV once. It didn't have any zombos to my knowledge but it turned on by itself in the middle of the night and I had to walk into the dark kitchen to try to turn it off. When it wouldn't turn off, I unplugged it (which worked thank f*ck), so I taped a little note on it "FREE HAUNTED TV. Warning: TV is haunted" and one of my neighbors wanted it. Haven't seen them in a while but glad it worked out for everyone!
do "Thankskilling" or have you done that one? its awfully hilarious and the turkeys constant one-liners are legitimately the glue that holds this creative disaster of a masterpiece together.
"Don't worry about it, don't worry about anything" this. This is how I need to start explaining my love of campy bad movies from this era. I don't want to worry about anything for like, an hour and a half.
I second that thought and add another... Moldred should dress up and moonlight as "The Garbage Man" when reviewing really awful films. This will be a subtle hint to us that the film he is going to go over is in fact... "bad". There are plenty of clues given for this already, but I think we all just want to see the Mil-meister in "Garbage Man" attire. Bobby agrees with me right?
I totally would have hidden the haunted TV in the basement and not told anybody about it as a 16 year old. That's probably the most (and only) realistic part of this movie xD
Dude! So this is a horror movie that I remember seeing once as a kid in this children's home I was at where the staff let me stay up way past my bedtime and I tuned into "Up All Night" with Gilbert Gottfried (might have been when Rhonda Shear was host) but anyways, there were certain sequences that gave me nightmares for a while that were burned into my memory, but I watched it again just last year and now - after seeing so much horror over the years - I just chuckle at the kitsch.
"Brains, dismissed." You know, I'm just going to assume this is leading up to a weird crossover with the 'How to ADHD' youtube channel and be superunreasonably disappointed when that turns out not to be the case. :P Anyway, you should review Ghost Shark at some point.
@@michimatsch5862 the woman from "How to ADHD" always addresses her audience like "hello brains" or "bye brains" & stuff like that, since her channel is all about the mind & stuff.
This was one that really beat me down as a teenager but I came to love at about the same time I realized Bianchi’s Burial Ground was an epic masterpiece of cinematic beauty. I think I suffered a massive cinematic head injury about the time I turned 18.
I love this movie! When I was a kid my dad bought me a vhs tape of it and I was watching it while eating a giant bucket of gummy spiders. Very nostalgic
hey i know this video is old but i just wanted to say thank you for blurring out the animal death :) as someone for whom thats a huge trigger, horror movies can be hard to watch due to their. fascinating interest in animal murder as a prelude to human murder.
I haven't seen it, but I've watched two hour long videos about Malignant, one saying it's a horrendous trash fire and the other saying it's a brilliant throwback. I thought about watching it, but then I figured it would be more fun to hear what Mildred thinks! So, could you cover that and put the argument to rest?
I was feeling super bummed this morning (Earth, 2021), n then u cheered me up so much! I dearly love the terrible zombie movies from early in the genre. On another note, can you do Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things or is that too classic/mainstream? I’d love to see u do it tho
This film's premise is weirdly similar to Lamberto Bava's Demoni or Demons, where people are trapped in a cursed movie theatre with Evil Dead type monsters which seemingly come from the film being shown. The second film actually has a possessed Asia Argento coming out of a TV set! Whilst The Video Dead looks like trashy fun, it just doesn't compare to a film like Demons where the hero ends up riding around on a motorcycle decapitating monsters to a Heavy metal soundtrack.
Random recommendation for ya Mildred, don’t know if it’s channel worthy, but the 1991 Dan O’Bannon movie “The Resurrected” might be up your alley. It’s based on the lovecraft story “The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward”, and it’s goofy in a distinctly start of the 90s way, but there are some EXCELLENT wet puppets, and the ending is fantastic, a skeleton comes to life and fights a warlock in an insane asylum. Found it for free online on an archive site after some brief googling
Back in the 1980's I was in college, and therefore had a lot of free time- this one played often, because it does in fact own. I also dig the schtik. However, just an idea, not necessarily directed at anyone: I wish one of these horror movie review channels, yours or anyone's would concentrate more on movies that are available on free streaming, instead of the seemingly unobtainable suggestions for cult classics, or the latest on some giant paywalled corporate channel. I mean, again, this is a fun movie, and I like the way you cover it, and I'm not trying to tell anyone how to run their business, just wish there was a channel that tried to cover flicks that anyone could see.
OH, and PS- maybe I didn't catch the mention- but folks might want to know that Michael st Michaels, the Greasy Strangler himself, is in this, as Henry Jordan....

While we're talking about delicious garbage, I've been binge re-watching "You" lately. And like... definitely you should talk about this show, Mildred. It's FASCINATING!
Maybe it's because I watched them around the same time, or maybe it's because they both feature scary tv monsters, but I always associate this movie with the charming number, Terrorvision (Like television, but terrorizing). All I have to say is, it's very goopy and very gloopy.
In 2013 it apparently came out in a DVD/Blu-ray double feature with TerrorVision (1986) by Shout! Factory. That sounds like a decent combo. Personally I think Stay Tuned (1992) is the superior evil TV movie. The part with the naked lady reminds me of Dream a Little Evil (1990) except that one had a witch instead of haunted TV/zombies.
