Further detail on the "they're booby trapping the Halloween candy!" The only case of it actually being attempted was a dad trying to kill his child for life insurance money, hoping that it would seem random, because he was inspired by the fear mongering, not the other way around. It still failed because it was pretty easy to see the candy was tampered with.
Yeah, ain't it cool that the only times anything like that has happened it was 'cause a parent or caregiver didn't care very much about their kid? "Drugs in Halloween candy" has been a defense for lackadaisical behavior also.
I have always loved spooky stuff! I was a spooky little girl, grew into a spooky teen, and remain a spooky lady. I would never have watched horror until about ten years ago (I'm older than Mildo, for reference). Horror is scary! Spooky is fun.
"Night of the Safe, Unwhelming Party" is juuuuust expository enough for a bait-and-switch horror movie that I think it would do gangbusters as an ironic title for a comedy-horror.
I don't immediately have a scenario for that title though, like, I'm imagining something like a wannabe frat party turned horror, but it would make just as much sense to start with like, a middle aged swinger club getting picked off by an incredibly grossed out 12 to 20 something.
One of my all time favorites. I saw Amelia Kinkade and Linnea Quigley at a Con a few years ago talking about this movie and Kinkade was rocking a leather jacket with a drawing of Angela with her hands on fire on the back of it. It was great.
Me and my brother went to go see this movie when we were in high school. We were quite surprised and liked the fact that the black guy actually survived a 1980s horror movie. And we had the biggest crush on Fannie. Long Live Raj.
Thank you Mildred, you made a terrible day of work into a still pretty bad day of work, but hey, at least there's this neat video to distract me from it!
This is an excellent start to a "Back to Ghoul" style stores where each week (of you have the time) you highlight a different great Halloween party movie. Love the work you do and I picked up a shirt for both Though Slime and this channel. You rule.
You definitely need to do a video on Motel Hell. It's unbelievable that this movie isn't a household name. It's brilliantly insane. It's like if John Waters made Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
TBH the difference between possesed and haunted house could be good explanation for a twist. You see, the precious Laroux Mansion you've inherited could be exorcised of the vengefull dead but if iits possesed by a deamon, it's you gotta Burakh it to the ground.
Raj in my opinion did the right thing he tried to tell them you're messing with powers you cannot control nor do you understand. And Raj is like I'm going to be a black man that's actually going to survive a 1980s horror movie.
Definitely would love a Phantasm-esque rundown of the sequels. And throw in the remake, so we can all collectively check in with circa 2009 Edward Furlong.
Hey Mil, genuinely this is one of your best vids on this channel, and I really hope you’re able to find the time to make more here 😌 I understand you’ve got a hectic life, and I treasure your Thoughtslime work, but Scaredy Cats gives me a special kind of joy and I rewatch all your uploads here all the time.
YAY!! I love this movie, especially the Bauhaus dance scene (good goth representation is hard to find). Also Mildew, I'd love to see your take on the deliciously awful, cheesy but fun film The Frighteners. Jeffrey Combs performance alone makes it well worth the price of admission. Other shlock I'd like to see your take on is My Best Friend Is A Vampire and Teen Witch
The Frighteners is an excellent and stupid movie, I love it. The big hurdle to sharing it with people is always, "Okay, there's this Michael J. Fox movie..."
YES! I was just about to comment the exact same thing, that scene with Angela dancing Stigmata Martyr (one of the scariest and weirdest Bauhaus songs imo) is just incredible
Thank you, I saw this movie a long long time ago once as a kid. I didn't remember much about it other than it involved a party a girl in an Alice outfit. I had no idea what it was called and Google searches yielded nothing but you managed to find this for me!
Thank you Mildew, would love to see you talk about the sequels, or anything for that matter. Nothing like spooky content to distract oneself from the crushing realities of life.
Night of the Demons 2 was a mainstay of my teenage years, even though nobody in my group ever saw the first one. Please, please, please do the sequels!
I thought the tangent at the end about carving runes into pumpkins while drooling a thick black viscous substance was going to be a set up for the EYEBALL ZONE. Wrong channel. Also, I do hope you make videos about the sequels, and possibly remake.
Mildred, have you ever watched Attack the Block?? It's an amazing horror movie that touches on a lot of class issues in the UK. If you haven't already seen it, I think you'd really like it!! also the acting in it is A+
The way you transition into your ad breaks is my favorite. You are my anti-capitalist super hero. You know you have to do the dance and you do it well.
I had such a crush on the cast of this when I was a teenager. Havn't gone back to it though. Will fix that this weekend. My wife loves 80's horror and she hasn't seen it.
Hi MilDread, this was fantastic. I will likely never see the movie due to having a low gore limit. Please cover the others. Thanks for everything you do!
I've seen this movie oh so many times, once as recently as in the last few years, and yep... no recollection of the three "not characters" that you mentioned. Also, in spite of being the type of messed up horror fan that loves this movie, I've never watched any of the sequels or the remake, so it would be awesome to see those covered next.
some lines from this movie were sampled in the iconic kim petras album 'turn off the light', which was news to me as a kim petras fan watching this movie for the first time
You're a weird cat Mildread, and I appreciate that. I love the way you interpret the films you review. Most of the time it's movies I haven't seen, and it's an exciting way to find new movies to watch. subscibed
I seem to remember loving Night of the Demons 2, and I get the prickles that tell me I won't be proud to remember why... but damn these things were goofy!
The movie _I_ confused this one for when the video started was 1995's Demon Knight, which is another one I hope Mil-Dread eventually tackles. IIRC it's also spooky Halloween fun with demons attacking a house full of people but with the addition of a demon hunter guy who can ward the demons out with the blood in his magic key.
It took me half the video to realize it, but I did in fact see this movie before--and at a Halloween party no less! It was my own local horror movie expert who is also a fan of this channel. Logan? Logan, are you in this comment section? Thanks for showing me this movie with its inexplicable lipstick scene.
I am delighted to let you all know that Amelia Kinkade is the author of several books on communicating with animals, including The Language of Miracles: A Celebrated Psychic Teaches You to Talk to Animals, and at least one definitely non-autobiographical novel about a psychic who can talk to animals.
I never checked out this channel because one of my disabilities makes enjoying horror almost impossible. Now that I know how you handle your subjects, I think I will subscribe to this channel too.
You are completely correct, this is the most perfect Halloween movie ever made, and I was so stoked to see you had made a video on it. Is it "good?" Hell no! Would I change a single thing about it? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
But I am also always sort of confused about why this movie is somehow cool enough to not only know about Bauhaus but to include a Bauhaus song that is NOT "Bela Lugosi's Dead." Angela's dance to Stigmata Martyr is my favorite scene.
Mildew, I love these and I'm so glad you made this channel. I have yet to convince my partner to watch any of them, but I feel like this October might be when that changes...
Mildred, coming in with the type of horror movies I live for. I’m not a jumpscare fan, nor do I love overly gruesome/torturous gore. I like spooky unsettling movies, or I like cheeseball trash fires like this that are just pure bad fun. It’s gonna be a good Halloween month!
On first viewing I'm was pretty sure Angela intended to unleash the demons, which would also explain why she keeps coming back in the sequels, but on further reflection maybe she keeps coming back because the demons just really like Goths.
Huh, apparently I already watched this last year. Guess I'm starting a tradition. There's also there's basically a music video strip tease to the whole of Bauhaus' "Stigmata Martyr" out of fucking nowhere.
Ahh pumpkin ales. Coin toss on if you're getting one of the scant few good ones, in which case it's spectacular, or one of the many, many terrible ones. Props to Dogfish Head Brewing for making the only "eh, it's all right" pumpkin ale I've ever encountered.
I don’t know if it’s something you’ve done before, but there are some great horror shorts on UA-cam. I just watched Curve, and the sense of dread was so pure. Watching some shorts together and chatting about them with chat could be a fun livestream idea. I don’t know if there is a way to add the views to the relevant channels (either a tool to allow the audience to sync with your watch or some such thing) but just an idea. 😊
I so hope you do the sequels. I've seen part 2 and really liked it but I have yet to delve into Part 3. I remember the remake as I watched it one day at work when things were super slow but it didn't really stick with me and, as I recall, there were some egregiously bad CGI eyes on some of the demons as well as a very awkward performance from Edward Furlong.
"It's definitely a comedy but I'm not sure if it knows why" is so incredibly strong as a phrase.
Adding that to my list of 'Horrific things to say about someone's autobiography'
Вьвьал
Was genuinely prepared for "In real life there's no such thing as demons taking over a house, all we have to be scared of is *LANDLORDS*!!!"
Jesus
As me even then it was poison, not razors.
Yeah, ain't it cool that the only times anything like that has happened it was 'cause a parent or caregiver didn't care very much about their kid? "Drugs in Halloween candy" has been a defense for lackadaisical behavior also.
I know refusing to explain the difference between "horror" and "spooky" is a bit but honestly it has always made perfect sense to me.
spooky is like the smoke to horror's fire.
I have always loved spooky stuff! I was a spooky little girl, grew into a spooky teen, and remain a spooky lady. I would never have watched horror until about ten years ago (I'm older than Mildo, for reference). Horror is scary! Spooky is fun.

Yes! Roger is one of my favorite "final characters"! #teamRoger 😆👍🏽
I don't feel Roger got nearly enough love in this video. He's got almost as a much character definition as Stooge.
I, for one, would love to learn more about the Saga of Angela the Doctor Goth Demon.
I imagine this as responding to Mildred door knocking with Bobby D. - both evangelizing with their neatly fastened name tags.
Thank you Mildred, you made a terrible day of work into a still pretty bad day of work, but hey, at least there's this neat video to distract me from it!
Mildred we miss you! Hope you’re well and happy and encountering wet puppet content❤
This is an excellent start to a "Back to Ghoul" style stores where each week (of you have the time) you highlight a different great Halloween party movie. Love the work you do and I picked up a shirt for both Though Slime and this channel. You rule.
Night of the Comet is an awesome film that knows exactly what it is doing, and is funny as hell. I will die on this hill.
Yeah it's an absolute classic imo
You definitely need to do a video on Motel Hell. It's unbelievable that this movie isn't a household name. It's brilliantly insane. It's like if John Waters made Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Hahaha I looked this up and a scared cat recap, a scaredy-cap, is the only way I'm watching that lmfao
TBH the difference between possesed and haunted house could be good explanation for a twist. You see, the precious Laroux Mansion you've inherited could be exorcised of the vengefull dead but if iits possesed by a deamon, it's you gotta Burakh it to the ground.
I would love if you talked about the sequels. Even if you just did one video covering all of them.
I vote yes on covering the sequels. I really enjoyed the Wishmaster ones you did
Raj in my opinion did the right thing he tried to tell them you're messing with powers you cannot control nor do you understand. And Raj is like I'm going to be a black man that's actually going to survive a 1980s horror movie.
YES! Forever team Roger!
Roger was the smartest character in the whole movie!
hell yes! I LOVE that guy. He actually tried to leave early when sh*t was getting weird
Angela's dance to Bauhaus is one of, if not the, the greatest goth movie scenes of all time.
Definitely would love a Phantasm-esque rundown of the sequels. And throw in the remake, so we can all collectively check in with circa 2009 Edward Furlong.
I miss this channel
I just watched House 2: The Second Story today. Best John Ratzenbeger cameo in film history
It's really touch and go at this point.
There is a really impressive shot where a mirror breaks and each character is framed in a shard. It shows that the filmmakers actually cared.
I wasn't sure if I was gonna watch it but if there's a Bauhaus scene I gotta
The Frighteners is an excellent and stupid movie, I love it. The big hurdle to sharing it with people is always, "Okay, there's this Michael J. Fox movie..."
YES! I was just about to comment the exact same thing, that scene with Angela dancing Stigmata Martyr (one of the scariest and weirdest Bauhaus songs imo) is just incredible
@@Orobolus_Outline Just tell them it's what Peter Jackson did in between Braindead and Lord of the Rings.
Oh! The Frighteners is great suggestion!
I would love it if you covered the rest of the franchise. But I love all your content, so like... Whatever video you make, I'll enjoy it. 🖤
Okay, best ad transition, I have seen in ages.
Thank you, I saw this movie a long long time ago once as a kid. I didn't remember much about it other than it involved a party a girl in an Alice outfit. I had no idea what it was called and Google searches yielded nothing but you managed to find this for me!
My soul needed this CONTENT today of all days SO HARD. thx millie
Thank you Mildew, would love to see you talk about the sequels, or anything for that matter. Nothing like spooky content to distract oneself from the crushing realities of life.
Missed your videos. This is an A+ return to form
Mildred, for once I’m way ahead of you.
Myself and my friend watched this just last week, and we had a fuck-bowl-eating good time.
I know I've seen this movie but I don't remember anything except loving Angela and the old man's razor blade death at the end.
Can't wait for my party! Thanks for taking care of entertainment!
My crew was looking for a fun spooky movie to watch before hiking some 14ers this weekend.
This looks so perfect, thanks for this!
Oh I am fascinated to hear what the sequels could possibly be about.
I like Murder Party for a Halloween party movie. Never heard of this one, gonna have to give it a try this year.
I loved the Maniac Cop videos, so I'm excited for this to be a series
Mildred, have you ever watched Attack the Block?? It's an amazing horror movie that touches on a lot of class issues in the UK. If you haven't already seen it, I think you'd really like it!! also the acting in it is A+
I really liked that one
The way you transition into your ad breaks is my favorite. You are my anti-capitalist super hero. You know you have to do the dance and you do it well.
I had such a crush on the cast of this when I was a teenager.
Havn't gone back to it though. Will fix that this weekend. My wife loves 80's horror and she hasn't seen it.
Hi MilDread, this was fantastic. I will likely never see the movie due to having a low gore limit. Please cover the others. Thanks for everything you do!
Let's go. Full series breakdown. Love me some campy demon nonsense!
I remember watching this on USA in the 90s!

Night of the Comet and Night of the Creeps are both pretty awesome.
I seem to remember loving Night of the Demons 2, and I get the prickles that tell me I won't be proud to remember why... but damn these things were goofy!
Still waiting for coverage on the sequels to this. Maybe after Midnight Meat Train?
ty so much for the shade at pumpkin flavored beer. I thought I was alone in my distaste for the substance.
It's spoopy season babeeey!
Shout out to the AMAZING title cards of this movie. So simple and spooky
I spent my teen years OBSESSED with the Evil Dead films…why haven’t I ever seen this??? It would’ve been the perfect movie for me.
I miss your uploads on this channel 🙏🏽💜 they’re great!
man why is your speech delivery constantly so good
The movie _I_ confused this one for when the video started was 1995's Demon Knight, which is another one I hope Mil-Dread eventually tackles. IIRC it's also spooky Halloween fun with demons attacking a house full of people but with the addition of a demon hunter guy who can ward the demons out with the blood in his magic key.
The only thing to fear is fear itself. And cyberghouls and landlords. Also that feeling of something just a little too hard in your food.
Thanks!
mildread is so funny i loves them
Mildred knew exactly what they were doing with that tier list. Putting the Creeper in D Tier should be a punishable act.
Very fun video my man. Great job. always glad to hear from you Mildred!
It took me half the video to realize it, but I did in fact see this movie before--and at a Halloween party no less! It was my own local horror movie expert who is also a fan of this channel.
Logan? Logan, are you in this comment section? Thanks for showing me this movie with its inexplicable lipstick scene.
Yes please talk about the sequels next holy shit I miss your series videos. I still go back to summer series periodically.
I am delighted to let you all know that Amelia Kinkade is the author of several books on communicating with animals, including The Language of Miracles: A Celebrated Psychic Teaches You to Talk to Animals, and at least one definitely non-autobiographical novel about a psychic who can talk to animals.

This and the sequel used to be my early preteen- teenage birthday party movie in the 90s. What a classic.. and an absolutely awesome review.
I get why one would like Angela, pinnacle of fashion, absolute icon, star of the show.
She's my dream goth gf.
I've been trying to remember the name of this movie for the longest time, thank you!
We love and miss you Mill-dread!
Mildew, I love these and I'm so glad you made this channel. I have yet to convince my partner to watch any of them, but I feel like this October might be when that changes...
And yes, I did immediately go and search for the 'maniac cop rap' because of the ad. This is awful...
Such a pleasur to see you again !! The movie seems lit as heck, and yeah, we want to see more !! Love ya !!
Dude, you are hilarious. I like your take on these movies more than the actual movies.
I'd love to see you talk about the rest of the series, I've really enjoyed how you cover good(?) franchises gone bad.

I'm a bit late but I vote for this to be a series of videos.
Unga Bunga tier list bad.
This comment was sponsored by the "I want this video to do well" gang.
Fantastic video! I’d love to see you cover the sequels.
It's the most 🎶 wonderful time 🎶 of the year 🎃 🐱
Hit it out of the park on this one!
The apple thing reminded me of the real occurrence of needles in strawberries that happened at one point here in Australia.
The thumbnail for this one made it look like I'd already watched it.
Brilliant video Mildo! You've really refined your review style!
Yes, please share the sequels with us.
Your editing and pacing is spot on. Fantastic work!
It's 4am so I no comment too good, but this was a very fun and good video about a movie I'd never have heard of anywhere else 10/10
I was not aware there was a reboot. (Probably) Thanks, Mildred!
ok im glad you mentioned the razorblades gag because even as someone who LOVES gore that would be too much for me
I don’t know if it’s something you’ve done before, but there are some great horror shorts on UA-cam. I just watched Curve, and the sense of dread was so pure. Watching some shorts together and chatting about them with chat could be a fun livestream idea.
Thanks for the recommendation Mildread.
Got excited for a second thinking this was The Unnamable.
Stooge's description is so on point it hurts.
I hope this video did well enough to warrant a video about the sequels and the remake.
