@@locsman yeah, but depends on what direction ya want them to grow, you can always have durag a lil loose on the top don't have it too tight, I don't like bonnets on me don't suit me, also depends on material of the durag, either way it's gonna grow anyway....

i actually just ordered one about an hour or two ago, ive been through the "ugly phase" and have had them at some pretty decent lengths but i don't feel like going through the process again lol.
I got hightop lox’s with straight hair crochet them. They look like dreads but they stick up and out cause there to short. I look like a pineapple 😂

@thedeadestchannel0989 you got any tips on how to crochet with straight hair cause I was able to loc up some of my hair but I got a couple locs that just don't want to get tight no matter how long I crochet them for cause everytime I crochet the root the bottom gets loose n everytime I crochet the bottom the top gets loose, what do you think im doing wrong cause it's annoying asf to have to redo some of mine after I shower I've seen all these vids n still can't get these 5 or 6 locs to lock

You won't get anywhere twisting with gel for straight hair. Use the crochet hook or twist and rip
Yeah it will help but if ur gonna twist with gel it's just better to freeform cuz ur straight hair won't be uniform like crochet methods..... just remember all u have to do to get dreadlocks are not comb ur hair

Technically he's had dreads for a while. Are they maturely locked? maybe some. The back of his hair and sides are locked. However the locs on the top near his forehead aren't as mature as the locs on the side nor on the back of his head his locs look🔥👏

Leave ur hair alone man and trust the process. Twisting with gel makes the hair coil and combines the curls together with a particular pattern, whilst all crocheting does is create knots with little development and no pattern. It interferes with the locking process completely. Ur hair looked great before, please don't do this again.
