I'd say most likely not unless with scissors but then ur just cutting down the middle of the two where it splits but I've tried to comb them out and nothing it just ended up breaking the comb hair type and maturity might play a factor too

I feel like these methods only apply to certain hair types. What if your hair is in the lower 3’s or 4’s? Wouldn’t it be too kinky to split even at 7 months in?
That’s why you may comb them like method 2🔥
Nope. You can literally comb them out at anytime. I was locked for 4 years the first time. Type 3c and 4a hair. Combed them all out and went loose natural.
When you have Dreads/Dreadlocks/Locs/Brotherlocs/Sisterlocs/Starterlocs/Wicks/Freeformed Dreads or any type of hairstyles like these, do you have to retwist your dreadlocks or no, and is it healthy to retwist your dreadlocks or no?
Always do routine maintenance on your dreads to keep the happy and healthy or they will thin and break off over time
It’s your choice how u do your dreads u can have no retwist and still have healthy dreads

when i separated my locs, i just cut them apart at the roots and waited for the smaller ones to grow out

omg ok so…lemme get this straight. you cut down the lock starting with the root, and then you let the thin locs develop and mature into thicker locs correct?

Same! Right in the front of my head LOL I braided the loc back in as tight as I could and then wrapped fake hair around the base. It's a temporary fix until I learn the crochet method. So far so good!

Wash your dreads with an acv rinse
Also if you’ve had them for 8 months I think there locked enough for you to really wash your head but again I haven’t seen your locs

No the more you separate with fingers the tighter the intervals become.. causeing one to use scissors which then your just cutting them off at the base. I fucked my set up and I'm having to startover 😢
