Forever grateful for these instant loc videos, I discovered it back like 7-8 months ago hair was probably like 2 inches, always wanted dreads but couldn’t naturally lock them, until I learned how to crochet thanks to your videos, now its like it’s 5-6 inches, I went for the killmonger dreads I was DYING to have from the start, can’t thank you enough 💪🏾

Yo Gunther I really dont know where to start with getting dreadlocks. My hair is definitely long enough but the high-top I have right now is just nappy. I tried doing 2 strand twists myself and my hair didnt even stay down nor could I shake the twists. Is there any advice you or anyone has to turn my hair from a nappy fro to healthy dreads? my hair type is 4b or 4c.
i started mine a month ago and started with comb coils i went back after a month and she interlocked the new growth to maintain the part but now it’s completely puffier then the skinny comb coils what do i do i’m about to cut it all off

I want to get dreadlocks and as you say, it would save a lot of money if you’d do it youself. However.. your technique and tips seems good and doable with some practice. But i only want to do the back of my head. So with no experience at all, how am i gonna manage to do the back of my head on my one tho???🥵

Does the double crochet hook work any better?
It works better but depends on the situation...for example if i am in a hurry and crochet my loc, then double headed will work better. But if I am free for a good while, single head crochet would be advised as it also results in less frizz and a good look
