    Hey Gunther I started my locks about 9 1/2 months ago coming from curly hair from I experience I’m almost certain that 2 strand twist is the best way to mature your dreads faster. My dreads kind of looks like yours just shorter and a little more mature but I do avoid washing it because it gets super frizzy and I feel like I’m loosing progress. But overall I recommend keeping your hair in 2 strands until they are fully matured

  • @chriswellz5993
    @chriswellz5993 Рік тому

    I started off with mediums with the same hair type. I kinda wish I did with smaller locs like yours. You got 150 locs, I got 56 bro. But my sides and the lower back of my neck is tapered. So I’m sure if I had that as locs, probably have 70ish. But still, 150!? I wish. And I really REALLY don’t wanna start over because I’ve made so much progress and to be honest, I love them. But the downside to having mediums is that there are certain hair styles I just won’t be able to do. But I’m fine with that.

      Been doing that for months but no progress I’m black and 😂 I have 3c , 3b type curls and some 3a strands but they compress like crazy ( the shrinkage is unbelievable with my 3c strands 😭 ) It’s like 7 inches by now but looks like they’re 3 inches 😂
      ( I really hope people don’t think I got a perm because wel… It’s my natural hair and I didn’t modify it one bit )
      For some reason when I put conditioner and stuff… My hair starts making dreads by itself 🤔 ( I’m guessing it’s the 3c strands and not the 3b or 3a strands )
      So no need for a twist out ig
      But Now I have Covid so my hair is def not gonna grow for a while…
