Driveable vehicles makes such a big difference in New Vegas, I tend not to fast travel and the huge distance between locations can be a bit of a slog, but when you can race down the long 15 in your own Chrysler, Humvee (or LAV which is frankly hilarious when legion assassin's show up) it turns the whole experince into retro Mad Max
Lot people argue hey this cant be possible dont play fallout 2 and vice versa fallout tactics (yes that is semi canon i know) Plus people can pass down and learn to build new parts for cars/makeshift them and rubber is still around and can be scrap from objects to make rubber tires along with oil and other alternatives fuels. Point is this is lore friendly and people need to stop pretending it isn't because Bethesda is bit lazy to improve their game engine to allow drivable cars. If modding community can find a way to make it work so can bethesda.
@@evandaymon8303 I actually think Bethesda had intended ground vehicles in Fallout 4, or at least some use by the various factions, if you go to Big John's Salvage Yard, enter the train car bunker (the one with the really depressing distress signal and story) on exiting if you face the gate quickly you'll see an APC that wasn't there when you entered dropping it's ramp and several BOS soldiers exit never see that animation anywhere else in game.... That just screams cut vehicle content to me
@@maddlarkin Because the game engine cant run vehicles well. they did test it but they were trying to make the game as functional as possible (which for some to this day still have problems with boston) i mean cool to learn but game engine is too old and cant be able to run any of those offically.
@evandaymon8303 But like you said, that's Bethesda's (or more accurately Todd's) style of development, streamline, simplify and if it looks difficult, cut the feature, just compare Starfield to Skyrim, it's less intractable and even when you have an intergalactic ship your still walking everywhere, at least Skyrim gave you a horse (which in itself needs a mod to be really viable)

I'd like to see more mods that enhances the warfare situation between NCR and Legion. Ideally the NCR on the losing edge, to show the logistical and manpower issues they're having lore-wise.
I don't think the Legion was doing much better. I think the NCR had supply issues, but the Legion was having manpower issues, having to pull people from their Eastern legions.

@@Mutant_Mods thats pretty much why; as someone who wasn't around for the og fallouts i find them fascinating. the more 'gritty' less cartoony artstyle of a nuclear apocalypse is cooler. combine that with my favourite game oat and u have a video i will watch on repeat
That sensleshating on Bugthesda ... I mean sure they makde mistakes but then again who hasn't I mean each Fallout is flawed in some mannor and if anything Bethesda saved the Fallout franchise from its own demize by turning it into a 3D fps game, F3 Vanburen sure turned F into 3D but not a FPS wich in the end not only saved the franchise and its potential but made it more intresting and accesable for the masses.

This actually makes me want to play a modern Fallout game. I may have to get hold of NV and give this mod set a go as I've always been turned off of Fall Out games since III launched. I played it, didn't get on with it. Maybe this setup will do the trick.

The biggest problem in FO3 and NV is it has been over 100+ years since FO1 and still no one has torn down buildings ans built new ones. Sure you can still have ruins but by this time there would be more built areas than ruined ones.

im having trouble getting the dark roads. i deleted all the files in NMCs and George's texture packs besides the ones you said not to, but the roads are just vanilla now. i use vortex if this helps
Any new content? I've gotta say,you shouldn't delete old videos until you post the re-uploads. By the way,NMC's Texture Pack has a Washed Out version if that would fit instead of deleting the ones it has.
Why did you enable a cheat mod at the end taking away the perk to wear power armor was actually a good improvement made it not OP if you're modding it this much you're able to make your own perks make your own perk for that if you need extra perks, very surprised you didn't include signature weapons and armor

Slight correction, the Pipboy in classic Fallout is wrist mounted, just like in modern Fallout. It just seems it isn't due to the UI.

The dialogue one couild do with a proportion change. Add more vertical space, push the text down a little. Keep the general aesthetics though.

How did you get the radscorpions retexture to work? I tried and tried and tried but it was just not wanting to work.
