Tell me about broken stuff you've found in the game that aren't listed in the video, I'm curious to see if there's anything special anyone's got up their sleeve 👀
One correction is that companion suite was also supposed to lower companion damage by I believe 25% but honestly it sucks and it's the biggest downside of VNV, fuck companion suite it's awful. Companion nerve does work though, you can test it with damage numbers mod and see the difference. Characters like veronica will do insane DPS with max charisma and all of her upgrades, same with Raul and his cowboy perk or Cass with a hunting shotgun and her damage buff it's crazy.
Drugs invalidate heavy armor. Damage cannot be reduced by more than 80% and a combination of battle brew, med x, and slasher gives you more than enough DR. You can be just absurdly tanky while naked on any difficulty it's quite silly. Even on hardcore, med x and slasher don't weigh anything and battle brew is easy to craft. Sneak is broken because it's stealth in a Bethesda game but also because the sneak attack damage multiplier is several times higher on melee weapons than ranged. The highest damage single hit in the game isn't the fat man, it's a sneak attack from old glory with its vats special move.
It's not strictly broken, but using CRIT builds makes Hollow Point ammunition the best in the game thanks to the 1.75x DAM multiplier together with crits ignoring DT. Paciencia, the .308 rifle, firing HPs, has ~80% crit chance with every crit buff, and if it does proc it does more damage than even an ANTI-MATERIAL RIFLE CRIT. It's pretty amazing.
@joelfilho2625 this is somewhat inaccurate. Crits don't ignore DT, they just add their damage before DT and DR are calculated which is fairly unique. The crit damage on paciencia is simply so high that the DT multiplier of hollow points reduces the damage far less than the 1.75x multiplier increases it. Especially on a sneak attack critical. I am the nerd emoji don't mind me

I know this video is supposed to be mostly light-hearted and in good fun but I want to point out that that clip of Josh Sawyer is taken very much out of context. The "vibes based" reply is made in response to the question of how he approaches balance specifically *before* he is able to receive player feedback/testing. Not to mention that in the fully answer he gives he explains how he made use of a spreadsheet until he reached a point where he could manually test the weapons in-game which then became his main tool for tweaking and refining the balance. And once again, all this is done in the context of him not being able to get player feedback on the weapons yet at that stage of development. I don't mean to sound obnoxious or anything but I think it's very important to not misrepresent the effort, thought, and care that is put into making these great games as great as they are, and things taken out of context like this are easy ways in which false truths are perpetuated throughout the internet.
In defense of "vibe based" weapon balancing you're playing a single player roleplaying game not an esports competitive shooter. You win nothing cheesing the compliance regulator because YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE HAVING FUN.
I don't know if "hehehe I press the button and the game kills everything" is fun. I like to think about my build and my decisions, if I wanna goof around I'll play Gmod
Implant grx is the most overpowered thing in the game by far. It essentialy triples your dps and makes you take one third the damage you normally would take, not to mention it works with any build.
Funniest thing was using that to sneak past Elijah with all of the gold, zero sneak skill, and no stealth boy. You just walk out the way that you entered the vault and you're almost to the elevator when he finally gets trapped. As it turns out, stealth really is overrated (you'll be entertained by your own laughter as you escape with zero effort).
@@destruction6124did something similar, but the long way around, with full ranks of grx, and the chemist perk. Add daytripper, and you live your life in SLO MO
I can answer the Ultrajet bug real quick. In Fallout 3, the effects of chem withdrawal are removed in an embedded script within the internal "Doctors" quest. Ultrajet, as well as all other withdrawal effects, are included in the script, and are appropriately removed. In Fallout: New Vegas, a different internal quest was created called "VDoctors." It functions identically, but it lacks the Ultrajet withdrawal effect in its embedded script. Pretty easy to fix. :P
That would make total sense actually, although it's not underlined anywhere in the game that this would be the case so it's more of a WTF moment than something that's forewarned.
@@ClLuna VDoctors was created alongside Novac, which was the first location they created for the game. They probably weren't going to include Ultrajet initially, but later decided to and failed to update the script.
@@ana-esthesiac I wish they just checked for the tag "addiction" and just gave that tage to any addiction effect rather than manually adding each chem and making sure all fit an existing category.
You're telling me that going to Lonesome Road at the start and making tons of cash without even fighting a single enemy is broken? Nah. Exactly as the game devs intented 👌
I used to love Necromancer builds on Dialbo 2 for that reason. Before they nerfed the class, you could have an ungodly army of skeletons just beating everything around you into submission.
Unless it's a game made by Bethesda. Seriously people complained about how you can get the best Power Armor and weapons early in Fallout 3 if you do Operation Anchorage right after leaving Vault 101. But no ones complains that shotgun builds in New Vegas are stupidly OP.
@@hermos3602 meh who cares if it's in DLC it's not exactly meant to be the first thing you do. Fallout 4 on the other hand is stupid giving you a minigun and power armour 5 minutes in to kill a deathclaw because it defeats the purpose of the deathclaws being a terrifying difficult threat
I never hear people talk about by far the most broken thing I’ve found which is if u have pyromaniac and laser commander the sonic emitter tarantula will kill everything in the game in one hit on a critical which u can get to about a 48% chance with the right build and just use sneak. It’s hilarious to just talk to Ulysses have him do his whole speech then shoot him once and watch him light on fire and all his limbs and head explode
In terms of surviving the fat man explosion, you assumed the Courier would be naked without any armor. The player can get up to a flat 85% damage reduction against everything, this can more easily be thought of as only taking 1/6 of all incoming damage. Reducing 2,100dmg to 357ish The idea of the Courier in APA MK.II walking out of a mushroom cloud, after a direct hit from a fatman to the bewilderment of those firing it. That would be an incredible sight, and something I might have to animate one day. Someone also already mention this, but with rad child and Scorched Sierra PA you can get +10hp per second, equivalent to a constant 24/7 stimpak. While the Tri-Radii and Phoenix Monocytes do less than 0.1hp/s combined. Definitely recommend mods buffing those two items
@user-yg6jg2mi4h no, but the vats system was in fallout 3, the game that precedes new vegas and is the foundation new vegas was built on. I don't think I would say "the creators of new vegas didn't do many things right"
While most of the things in this video can more-or-less trivialize a huge bunch of the main game there's two caveats: - This doesn't count for hardcore mode. You saw how he got shredded by the deathclaws and only survived because the can magically heal hundreds of HP in a quarter second. Even the Industrial Hand won't let you win against two deathclaws at once (unless the pathing AI bugs out again). - The compliance regulator is only *that* good in 1v1s or against a strong enemy and weak cannon fodder (but it's still as good on hardcore mode in those scenarios)
IMO a vibes based balancing for an RPG is the best way to do it. Figuring out stupid broken ways to mould the game to your liking is my favourite part about these types of games.
Ultrajet addiction being permanent kinda makes sense imo. Jet addiction in fallout 2 was a bitch to get rid of for story purposes and I imagine the ULTRA variant which is like 4x stronger would be an even bigger bitch to kick the habit of
Compliance regulator on its own shatters the balance by removing the need to kill things outright(unless necessary for quest completion obviously), and then it compliments ANY kind of build well because 10 seconds is more than enough to pull out a high DPS weapon to do clean up, but now without sweating about all the enemies shooting or clawing away at you.
The game isn't a competitive shooter. It's designed to be fun. The only balancing the game needs is for character builds being equally fun and powerful.
Just because a game isn't a "competitive shooter" doesn't mean the only other option is "completely unbalanced mess". There is a world of variety, and interesting, curated experience, in-between those two extremes. I actually find the combat in Fallout 3 and New Vegas to be some of the most brainless 1st-person/3rd-person action I've ever played. Just stand around a corner with the strongest weapon you have, and VATS the braindead NPCs at point-blank range for the best accuracy. And if you get hurt, you can just abuse Stimpaks during the Pip-Boy's frozen time. Combat feels like a waste of time, and makes playing the game feel like a chore. To say nothing of how absurdly profitable combat tends to be, which makes it easy to afford better weapons and armour, making combat even more profitable. In an exponential curve that soon breaks the entire game's economy. If you find that entertaining, more power to you. But people aren't wrong for wanting a gameplay loop that expects them to actually engage their brain.
@@legitplayin6977 Cool, so a game is either boring, brainless slop, or a Souls-like. There is absolutely nothing in-between those two extremes. How about you drop the false dichotomies, and actually engage with what I'm saying?
I like New Vegas's balance, especially with mods that up both your damage and the enemies', because you start the game a scared little wasteland courier, used to avoiding conflict rather than solving it, by mid game you're tearing people up, and end game you're a demigod walking. It makes the whole "single-handedly altered the fate of the Mojave" actually feel *more* realistic.
MFC Clusters from the Mad Bomber perk. Crafted with some Duct Tape, 2 Scrap Electronics, and 18 Microfusion Cells. You can now throw 6 plasma grenades at once, and if you miss, they don't go off, allowing you to pick them back up to throw individually.
I already knew every single thing in this video, but it’s amazing to see someone else take the same interest as me in broken builds, and the weird way perks can work together. If you’re looking for another strange item that’s more powerful than it should be, look into the MFC cluster grenades.
the compliance regulator is busted, but, by the time most players have done honest hearts, killing enemies is so easy that stunning them is just a waste of time.
It screwed my brain up when you mentioned that the automatic melee weapons actually don't ignore armor like it says in the Pip-Boy. This whole time I thought I was getting that effect unintentionally. 😭 Also I can't believe half of the perks in New Vegas are incredibly bugged. I feel so bad for Obsidian's time constrained development of this game. The only way to play it now is with mods or Tale Of Two Wastelands. Still always fun to play on its own, but I'm floored by all the "balanced" parts about New Vegas. 🤯
Stacking the various chem duration buffs: logan's loophole, day tripper, chemist, fast times, gives you a 233% duration on all chems (266% for turbo) and all timed consumables (the perks are bugged lol). Among other things you can get 7 second turbo slow, 10-minute stealth boys/buffout/med-x, 10-minute-long healing from blood sausage...etc.
Hollow Point ammo is broken. There are so few enemies in the game that you shouldn't be using hollow points against, even with the .22 weapons. (Upon testing, it seems to also increase crit damage.) My favourite synergy is the Automatic Rifle with Hollow Points and Steady. I think it's the strongest Guns weapon/synergy excluding the And Stay Back perk. There are practically no enemies in the game that it doesn't get increased damage against with Hollow Points and against those few enemies the HPs make up for it with crazy crits. You have access to unlimited Steady during/after Dead Money (just pick up cigarettes to trade to the machine and you'll never run out) and you can keybind it so you can just press 3 for perfect accuracy when you need it.
I know this is late from two weeks, but HP do increase Crit damage because of how the damage formula works. It's: (Base damage+ Crit ) x every other multiplier ( including ammo)- DT. It's kinda broken for stealth crits has it can skyrocket your damage pretty early on but also works wonders with high damaging weapons.
I think the craziest part about this is that you can mix-and-match these. For example, I mixed high crit build (10 luck 10 charisma), compliance regulator, all laser-related perks, Ed-e, true police stories + comprehension and my companions literally become the protagonists if you choose to not melt people. Regarding the piercing strike, I believe either adds a flat bonus to damage, so with automatic weapon, you do a LOT more damage in the same way weapon-binding ritual does. Another mix I tried was crit-build (10 luck, better criticals, Elijah’s ramblings, true police stories and comprehension) piercing strike, industrial hand and weapon binding ritual. That does INSANE damage.
I absolutely love your videos; you have continuously been making some of the best Fallout New Vegas content in years! The script writing to editing, always been fantastic. Hope more people subscribe to your channel! Also, I never realize just how powerful the Industrial Hand is! A crit damage of 40 is insane!
The Ratslayer located south of Novac in the Broc Flower cave is prolly my favorite gun in the game. It's easy to build around and dirt cheap to run. It has 5x crit chance multiplier, the highest crit chance in-game in practical application (Alien Blaster has very finite ammo and Euclid C Finder is a glorified laser pointer) With 10 luck (or 9+ Luck Implant) + Finesse (Lv 10 perk) + Boone's 1st Recon Beret, Ratslayer has a 100% crit chance every shot. This means you can run Ratslayer with hollowpoints (1.75x damage) exclusively as crits ignore DT. If you don't want to bother with bullet crafting, no problem! Surplus ammunition (1.15x damage) is very cheap per bullet, and the extra wear and tear is easily addressed; buying Varmint Rifles is cheaper than paying for repairs. Bored of the weapon? No worries! Give it to Boone with surplus ammo (companions can't degrade weapons) and watch him shred. The high crit build and rifle pairs very well with That Gun (2.5x crit chance, shoots 5.56 ammo as well), which you can get right in Novac so you can use That Gun to grab Ratslayer.
I have this self-imposed unspoken rule for myself that i can't use any chems to enhance my playthrough, because at that point chems can make any kind of build work. 22. submachine gun with plinking rounds? turbo/implant grx and with psycho and slasher and you'll tear through a shit ton of enemies. same goes for all of the weapons that the game itself calls underpowered in the deathclaw pro hunter challenge, all of those can be made broken with all the right drugs. EDIT: also what the fuck were those clips why is your aim s good in this game i aim like dogshit lmao
One combination I love to abuse is the super heated saturnite fist with the pyromaniac and slayer perks. The saturnite fist already attacks pretty fast and slayer just makes it absurd. Super heating it not only increases its damage, it adds burning damage as well. The pyromaniac perk increases any fire weapons damage by 50% and since the super heated saturnite fist has burning damage, it gets the buff. If I recall correctly, the saturnite fist will both attack faster and do more damage than even the ballistic fist. Combine this with the purifier perk, your melee damage against super mutants, ghouls, deathclaws, etc will be increased by 50 percent which means that the super heated saturnite fist is better at killing deathclaws than the anti maternal rifle. Your fist hits harder than an explosive 50 bmg

ycs/186 gauss rifle paired with things that increase reload speed means you can chain enemies with knockback from across the map before they get to you
At around 15:15 there's another movement speed boost you could get from the "Atomic!" Perk. It only applies when active radiation damage is occurring to the player, however eating Coyote Meat applies radiation damage over time. You can pair it with Turbo or Implant GRX to extend how long the radiation will last.
For laser weaponry, remember that Laser Commander adds 10% crit chance to every laser weapon, unaffected by individual multipliers. While gatling lasers have an extremely low crit multiplier, the additive 10% crit chance from laser commander adds 10% crit chance... per beam. There's a few other perks like this (like light touch) and gatling lasers can get like, 20% crit chance.. per beam..
Hey Lune! I just stumbled across your videos and was shocked to see how few subs you have! Your content led me to believe you had hundreds of thousands of subs already, they’re remarkably well-done!
My headcanon is that Bethesda hasn’t totally undone Myron creating jet, but rather he created the first iteration of Ultrajet. If I remember correctly a big risk factor the crime family was planning was how addictive it was and how difficult it was to get off it
In a realistic scenario, many of the most powerful weapons and armours in the game would be nightmarishly high-maintenance. So high, that the player would bleed money trying to keep them in working condition. Think about how many man-hours of maintenance it takes to keep a modern battle-tank in working order. A suit of Power Armour is an order of magnitude more complicated than that. And you're one person, stomping around a post-apocalypse where replacement parts for your priceless military relic are practically non-existent. There's a reason why only two factions in the Mojave have functional Power Armour, and neither can afford to lose it. In a realistic scenario, shooting someone would be very likely to destroy the valuable items and equipment they're carrying. Blasting someone apart with explosives, or burning them to ash, or melting them into goo, or even just riddling them with bullets or buckshot. All of these things would make looting dead enemies far less productive, because you would destroy so much in the process of killing them. In a realistic scenario, enemies would not rush to their deaths like lemmings. They would assess the situation, and judge whether they actually stand a chance at surviving, let alone winning a fight. They wouldn't mindlessly rush a guy with a gun, when all they had was a pool cue. And if they got hurt, or saw a buddy get hurt or killed, their confidence in victory would tank *fast.* They wouldn't even need to be injured to lose confidence. Suppressing fire - shooting near or around a target - could be enough to break their will and force a retreat. During World War 2, an estimated 45,000 rounds of ammunition were spent per soldier killed. That's how much suppressing fire was employed. In a realistic scenario, the player's ability to profit from combat would be vastly lower. Players would be spending more ammo while killing fewer enemies; those enemies would be dropping less loot; and all the best equipment in the game would be massive money-sinks. But that doesn't happen, because New Vegas is *not* realistic.
one thing that is interesting is the mad bomber GRA MFC cluster granade wich throws 7 normal MFC granades but instead of them acting as a granade they act like mines so you basically throw 7 granades at once wich have a very small timer
My broken build relies on the scorched power armor and the rad child perk with all the melee perks. Its ridiculously busted. I hardly ever take serious amounts of damage. The slow movement speed adds to the ambience of being an unstoppable force. Also add the perk that makes you faster when you enter radiation. That part isn't what you want anyway. The part that matters is the extra ap regen from having high radiation effects. You'll realize very quickly that you'll almost never be too far away from someone. Using vats to close the distance. Mostly you very rarely will be in danger. Just because you'll regen 8 to 10hp per second. Anything that does make you use healing can't insta kill you. It's a fundamentally broken build. No doubt. I find that the thing that makes this build so broken is the healing as well as the armor. Full auto weapons just take forever to deal decent damage to you. Combine the regen with blood sausage and thin red paste and even without the PA you'll be regening far too much to be hurt for any real amount of time. I call this build the Abomination. 😂
Laser weapons are so OP, my mad scientist build used the MF hyper breeder Alpha as the main weapon. Since it’s a weapon with respectable base damage when you max out energy weapons. If you combine that with ED-E’s perk and psycho. You have a death ray that never needs to reload or runs out of ammo. Since it recharges at a fast rate. Unlike the shitty normal recharger pistol
My personal favorite is anti material rifle with Inc. Use in vats scan all enemies in the area they will all start taking fire damage. Re enter vats to stack. Switch to exp ammo. Take buffout medx and phyco along with rebound. Action girl perk rank 2. And just walk into quarry junction.
we're not talking about a multiplayer game, it's a single player rpg. your all on your own. nobody's forcing you to make use of any of these overpowered weapons.
You really shouldve touched on ammo types and the bugs associated with ammo swapping. The topics been beaten to death in terms of the ammo swap bug BUT all the videos just mention loading rockets into the laser detonator. The thing is, you can load any ammo into any gun. Which means you can get and buff or debuff from ammo types and apply it to any weapon. So you can load 5mm into anything and get the armor piercing effect without any drawbacks to damage out put. Or you can load plasma slugs into anything and do plasma damage, the crazy part is the spread reducer also applies to the current gun so a normal gun has .35x the spread in a gun that already is extremely accurate. If you do a guns AND energy build at the same time you can get the best perks from both skill sets and have them all apply at once. The ammo system is probably the funnest thing to mess around with
My mind went to EDI from Mass Effect, rather than the medical condition, but yeah, his own creator pronounced it like Eddie in the triggered audio messages related to the quest for upgrading him.
I didn't use any crazy weapons in my latest playthrough, but i did most everything on very hard, and the only thing that felt op was and stay back. And the perk that does the same thing with melee. It was the only reason i was able to survive

Companion Suite was actually intended to give companions a 33% DR rather than 50%, and bug fix mods tend to give it that 33% reduction. Companion suite also reduces your companions damage by 25% though so they aren’t too OP. Fun Fact: If you play with Jsawyer, then companion suite actually reduces your companions damage by a whopping 75%! They only do 1/4th their normal damage, so don’t expect them to kill much. Fun Fact 2: Companion Nerve is broken even with bug fix mods. It increases companion damage by 5% per point in charisma, but it gives them no extra DT. That part is broken.
Fallout 76 keeps the "Automatic melee weapons are broken" spirit alive by giving the player a 30% chance to trigger an explosion (that the player is immune to) on hit with a melee in vats, and perks to automatically refill vats as well as the ability to crit multiple times a second, explosions on melee kill, explosions on crit, and the ability to have a health stealing chainsaw perk. Oh, and all of these explosion effect scale with explosive perks as well. My favorite thing to do is completely destroy a room AND everyone's frame rates by going in completely unarmored with a vampire chainsaw against the toughest bosses in the game.
NV is definitely easy. I like to put my intelligence down to 1 (just like irl) and nerf myself a bit, along with Logan’s loophole. That way I have to be really strategic in where I put my points. The DLCs also make things worse because they have such OP gear.
i think the only mods he's using is the mod to take the orange filter out of the game and maybe NMC's texture pack, though the last one i can't immediately tell just from glancing at it.
The big ones are Desert Natural Weathers, DN Weathers Redux, NV Energy Visuals Plus 2, Lumen, Lumen 2.0, SILO, Simply Shade and High Resolution Bloom. Hope this helps! ^^
I love adding more perks to my game through mods just to make my character even more broken and overpowered. That's what makes New Vegas even greater in my opinion.
Its a single player game. It should have shit that lets the player feel like a broken demigod. Fuck balance, I'm here for fun. Who's gonna get mad at me? The fucking NPCs?
i like it though because getting a broken build turns the game on its head. new vegas is a bit less forgiving than its other 3d brethren, particularly at the start, but once you get setup you can trample the wastes with ease like a real legend should
The companions are soo unbalanced and broken and at times very problematic. I no longer recruit them anymore like I used to unless I need to do their quests. The solo journey is the best way to experience the game. Makes the last battle more epic and slightly longer when your companions aren't doing everything for you... Your companions basically play the game for you which really robs you of the battle interactions.
I always found the Anti-Material Rifle with explosive ammo to be the most OP distance weapon in the game. You can decapitate deathclaws from half way across the map.

As it turns out, stealth really is overrated (you'll be entertained by your own laughter as you escape with zero effort).

Lore (headcanon) reason: ultrajet in nv is myrons original recipe which needed an antidote to cure
All that cash goes straight to the commissary, I need that riot gear
Fallout New Vegas is my favorite power trip simulator.
I used to love Necromancer builds on Dialbo 2 for that reason. Before they nerfed the class, you could have an ungodly army of skeletons just beating everything around you into submission.
Who cares about balance in a singleplayer game, it's fun when there's OP stuff
Ikr, I love it when devs rewards you for completing the game by giving you op weapons. If you don't like them then don't use them 😭
Unless it's a game made by Bethesda.
@@lewisbirkett4428what’s even worse is they made all Miniguns in the game horrible past like level 5 just to make it balanced
I don't even use those and I still have power trips
I never hear people talk about by far the most broken thing I’ve found which is if u have pyromaniac and laser commander the sonic emitter tarantula will kill everything in the game in one hit on a critical which u can get to about a 48% chance with the right build and just use sneak. It’s hilarious to just talk to Ulysses have him do his whole speech then shoot him once and watch him light on fire and all his limbs and head explode
sonic emitter tarantula
Bro out here mastering the weirding way

In terms of surviving the fat man explosion, you assumed the Courier would be naked without any armor. The player can get up to a flat 85% damage reduction against everything, this can more easily be thought of as only taking 1/6 of all incoming damage. Reducing 2,100dmg to 357ish
The idea of the Courier in APA MK.II walking out of a mushroom cloud, after a direct hit from a fatman to the bewilderment of those firing it.
13:57 Bethesda didn't do many things right, but the vats camera system is pure gold
Bethesda didn’t make new vegas
@user-yg6jg2mi4h no, but the vats system was in fallout 3, the game that precedes new vegas and is the foundation new vegas was built on. I don't think I would say "the creators of new vegas didn't do many things right"
That's awesome
it can be comedy gold at times or make you look extremely badass
in fallout 3 the vats camera was a lot more cinematic, there’s a mod that restores that, pretty awesome
While most of the things in this video can more-or-less trivialize a huge bunch of the main game there's two caveats:
- This doesn't count for hardcore mode.
Jet addiction in fallout 2 was a bitch to get rid of for story purposes and I imagine the ULTRA variant which is like 4x stronger would be an even bigger bitch to kick the habit of
Yeah but it’s a bug 😂
Josh Sawyer was 100% right when he said you should balance your game off of vibes, not off of stats.
15:35 MEMORIES BROKEN THE TRUTH GOES UNSPOKEN...
Compliance regulator on its own shatters the balance by removing the need to kill things outright(unless necessary for quest completion obviously), and then it compliments ANY kind of build well because 10 seconds is more than enough to pull out a high DPS weapon to do clean up, but now without sweating about all the enemies shooting or clawing away at you.
in falllout 2 there wasnt a cure for jet, so maybe its one of the things obsidian fixed that Bethesda broke in terms of lore.
@@tbotalpha8133As you said, different people enjoy different things, so really no need to write this big ass comment just to say you like souls likes
@@legitplayin6977 Cool, so a game is either boring, brainless slop, or a Souls-like. There is absolutely nothing in-between those two extremes.
How about you drop the false dichotomies, and actually engage with what I'm saying?
If I want to press a button to kill everything I'll play Gmod, I actually would like to engage with the game a little bit more. Especially an RPG
Luna: (uses Compliancd Regulator)how do you think this isn’t illegal?
Me: Because having fun isn’t illegal.
Slayer + Ain’t Like That Now + Piercing Strike + Elijah’s Ramblings + Super Slam! with Blade of the West = constant downed enemies.
better criticals cant forget
15:54 This is genuinely the funnies thing I've ever seen in this game
Awesome video :)
They're lower damage individually but do incredible stuff and the prox detonation is amazing.
New vegas broken = fun.
I’m surprised doctor mobius’ glove wasn’t mentioned in the stun section
I already knew every single thing in this video, but it’s amazing to see someone else take the same interest as me in broken builds, and the weird way perks can work together.
If you’re looking for another strange item that’s more powerful than it should be, look into the MFC cluster grenades.
10:34: “it’s inevitable if you continue to use drugs and alcohol you will get addicted at some point”
Logan’s Loophole player: “am I a joke to you?”
The funny thing about Ultrajet is that its conpletely accurate to the perma addiction Jet had in Fallout 2, signifying true risk whenever you used it.
the compliance regulator is busted, but, by the time most players have done honest hearts, killing enemies is so easy that stunning them is just a waste of time.
Among other things you can get 7 second turbo slow, 10-minute stealth boys/buffout/med-x, 10-minute-long healing from blood sausage...etc.
eh. i think it's a good thing. you can always just choose not to use those items
I agree, NV is my favorite game of all time and I wouldn’t change anything about it, still doesn’t mean I can’t poke fun though ;)
It's:
(Base damage+ Crit ) x every other multiplier ( including ammo)- DT.
I would give my input on the video, but everything I say tends to be "vibes-based".
genuinely just a pretty good and entertaining channel, keep it up!
You're right; trading attacks with a single enemy for 30 seconds is much more fun. Who doesn't love shooting bullet-sponge enemies with nerf guns?
I absolutely love your videos; you have continuously been making some of the best Fallout New Vegas content in years! The script writing to editing, always been fantastic. Hope more people subscribe to your channel!
Also, I never realize just how powerful the Industrial Hand is! A crit damage of 40 is insane!
thank you so much, that made my night
The Ratslayer located south of Novac in the Broc Flower cave is prolly my favorite gun in the game. It's easy to build around and dirt cheap to run.
It has 5x crit chance multiplier, the highest crit chance in-game in practical application (Alien Blaster has very finite ammo and Euclid C Finder is a glorified laser pointer)
With 10 luck (or 9+ Luck Implant) + Finesse (Lv 10 perk) + Boone's 1st Recon Beret, Ratslayer has a 100% crit chance every shot.
Your sandwich making skils are remarkable
i have a prediction: nearly everything mentioned in this video will be dlc content

Your fist hits harder than an explosive 50 bmg
this is really well done and interesting content, subbed

Thankfully I have a mod that lets you have Rex and ED-E simultaneously (Charisma alters Companion limit).
That one bugged recording for the sonic emitter that's supposed to just be a fire debuff but cases truly massive crits.
For laser weaponry, remember that Laser Commander adds 10% crit chance to every laser weapon, unaffected by individual multipliers. While gatling lasers have an extremely low crit multiplier, the additive 10% crit chance from laser commander adds 10% crit chance... per beam. There's a few other perks like this (like light touch) and gatling lasers can get like, 20% crit chance.. per beam..
Paralyizing palm + rushing water + greased lightning = wasteland Monkey D. Luffy.
If I remember correctly a big risk factor the crime family was planning was how addictive it was and how difficult it was to get off it
I’m surprised you didn’t mention meltdown perk in the energy weapon part- it turns the flamer and Gatling gun into explosive goo flingers
Remember all the attack speed perks?
There is a fist called greesed lightning in bos
And it attack 3 times per second
And perk super slam
It's not unbalanced, it's realism 🤩
Yeah the AP regen also helps somewhat offset some of the downsides of rad poisoning.
Your vids are great! keep it up champ, you deserve more views
The vibes balance means everything is balanced in such a weird way
My personal favorite is anti material rifle with Inc. Use in vats scan all enemies in the area they will all start taking fire damage. Re enter vats to stack. Switch to exp ammo. Take buffout medx and phyco along with rebound. Action girl perk rank 2. And just walk into quarry junction.
Excellent video! Great editing and research.
we're not talking about a multiplayer game, it's a single player rpg. your all on your own. nobody's forcing you to make use of any of these overpowered weapons.
The melee weapons ending is some ninja of the Mojave
The ammo system is probably the funnest thing to mess around with
Load .50 cal explosive rounds into a shotgun. It shoots 6 explosive projectiles per shot and will one shot anything.
Your channel is so underrated its insane, Keep posting dude I love these.
Bro calls the robot E D, like erectile dysfunction, when it's supposed to be ED-E, as in, Eddie. Smh lol the disrespect
Now imagine balancing a multiplayer mod the just so happens to be for this game.

Step 2: rush 100 lockpick

That’s why I call the war club the “ speedy stick “
Because you attack so damn fast with it
People who don’t understand how amazing the compliance regulator is are the same people who never played Elder Scrolls Oblivion and used Paralysis.
What mods are u using? Ur game looks great
i think the only mods he's using is the mod to take the orange filter out of the game and maybe NMC's texture pack, though the last one i can't immediately tell just from glancing at it.
Looks like Nevada skies or another weather mod.
The big ones are Desert Natural Weathers, DN Weathers Redux, NV Energy Visuals Plus 2, Lumen, Lumen 2.0, SILO, Simply Shade and High Resolution Bloom. Hope this helps! ^^
Btw a crit melee build with all the related crit chance crit damage with the melee knockdown perk with blade of the west is amazing
I love adding more perks to my game through mods just to make my character even more broken and overpowered. That's what makes New Vegas even greater in my opinion.
That attack speed with the War Club has me fucking dying

Old games do indeed detiorate overtime, from the changes of hardware, a good example of this is the models of tf2
Its a single player game.
It should have shit that lets the player feel like a broken demigod.
Fuck balance, I'm here for fun. Who's gonna get mad at me? The fucking NPCs?
i like it though because getting a broken build turns the game on its head. new vegas is a bit less forgiving than its other 3d brethren, particularly at the start, but once you get setup you can trample the wastes with ease like a real legend should
I’m trying to record a gameplay on my language and I was wondering what software or hardware to record?
The truth is... the game was broken from the start
- Benny, about to eat a mini-nuke after the courier casually ignores the doorman
