@@sahilrahman5066 No, but you can use that instead. The car mod shown in the video isn't available. It was never released. Many modders, including xilandro, have projects they end up scrapping for one reason or another. He said so himself. This was one of those mods. It's part of the creative process. XRE made his own standalone mod, and the frontier one's mechanics are also his own work. Use either one.
I love this format, it could be cool if you also interview some doom modders and mapers, a lot of them made high quality stuff without never being properly recognized outside of their circles
I know its a voice actor but I'll definitely hear this voice in my head when reading his mod descriptions and tweets now lol Hearing modders talk about their process and passion is a huge inspiration to me
Xilandro is a modder who has truly shifted the entirety of New Vegas modding. They've achieved countless miracles that many would not have thought possible. I'm a huge fan of their work, everything they've ever released is a true gamechanger and I thank them for all their hard work and dedication towards enriching this game. Also, I found the interview really wonderful, Xilandro may have drawn a lot of help from the talented community we have in NV modding but he also had the stubbornness and gumption to create some truly wonderful things. *Sign of the Aquila* For the Emperor.
currently playing through the game for the first time and loving it as vanilla rn, this makes me excited for my 2nd playthrough where i will mod it quite heavily
someone just liked this lol so ill give an update.. ive beat the game 3 more times since this post, highly reccomend all the patch mods and QOL mods makes the game feel so new and alive. i dont think ill ever have to play a different game again (Besides Skyrim
this is the one game that deserves a remake yet will never get an official one because Bethesda doesn't want to acknowledge that arguably the best fallout wasn't made by them
Wonderful video, Xilandros is extremely talented modder and heck, this community never cease to amaze me with their creativity, talent and making this game better and better for all of us. Best of luck to Xilandros future endeavors and tu Muttie - Keep on doing what you doing, you are my go to guy for mods showcase, your recommendations are wonderful and clicked with me in many ways :D
Really loved this episode, Mutant! Xilandro is such an amazing modder and overall human, was lovely to see an episode on him! Hoping to see hitman in a future video, keep the awesome series up! 💕
14:45 Holy shit! I'm so happy that my question got picked for this video! Huge Thanks to Xilandro for going so in-depth in his answering. Also I'm saying this again as it cannot be overstated: I just want to say THANK YOU! Your work on this game is nothing short of a miracle. If there's ever going to be a hall of fame of mod makers, you should be one of the first ones inducted imo. And another huge THANK YOU for tolerating this toxic community who keep on being ungrateful little shits despite all you've done for them. I see a lot of comments of your UA-cam videos, mod pages, and even Twitter that are rude as hell. PLEASE do not focus on the negativity and remember there's always people like me who love you and your work. You are amazing!
Way too busy to play Fallout rn, however, I am really addicted to your content at this moment. How about making a vid about your 50-100 essential mods. Shit would be fire.
It's always interesting to see that diagonal walking mod, seeing as when I first started looking into New Vegas mods when I was like, 16, People were outright saying that it could not at all be done, that the engine just did not have that functionality, that it was limited in the way that you can only move in two directions, But it certainly interesting to see that we've walked around that. Same thing with the crazy weapon positions and the item grabbing. Insane features i literally would have never expected to work, however, they just... *Do* now, no todd howard shit either, they are *functional* I think the mod that still shocks me the most is the dynamic ragdolls mod, i find it nuts and fantastic when games feature this kind of stuff, and on a mechanical level, its literal wizardry to me.
For the B42 inject animations, you can hit the attack button to cancel them early and it doesn't even attack. Not sure if it's intended but there isn't a risk factor to using items like doctors bags
i've been getting burnt out on stalker anomaly, but i think i just found a way to scratch that survival shooting itch with fallout. love this showcase and seriously amazing work from the modders.
Very cool this stuff is being implemented. Hope some of these mod concepts can come to other older FPS games. I know the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod scene has some similar stuff, but it's still a work in progress. Awesome how Xilandro has made it easy to implement their mods into other mods.
Dude I love this guy. This guy is literally my favorite moder in all of Fallout New Vegas history. Twitter I would always share his stuff. Too bad I don't care for Twitter so I'm not on it anymore.
Regarding your comment during the HIPControl showcase (1:47), I believe some more modern shooters, such as the newer CODs do something similar to that, I believe it's called an "offset" and is usually applied automatically to lower the view model of some weapons when you have sights, so they don't take too much space on screen. FO4 desperately needs something like that :')
honestly need more videos like this coming out, even if its repeat topics a lot in new vegas has changed since most have played years ago and even many modders are unaware of how many resoures there are out there for them to work with or expand upon. I hope to see new vegas modding to continue to thrive and prosper, but constant exposure of the game and its mods need to be pushed out to the public.
I'm setting up TTW for the first time. I hope all these bad ass mods will also work for that. One would think they would...but the items in FO3 might clash with some of these mods, one would also think.
I first saw the Hip Control stuff through Gmod addons, and it most likely appeared before that as well, but regardless it's really cool to see it in New Vegas now too
We need to try our best to get modders together to work on bigger mods to help keep giving this game new life, but I know that’s easier said than done. Just thinking about what xilandro said about having big ambitious mods that he believes will never see the light of day because not enough people would be dedicated to them. Really sucks to imagine what some of the possibilities could be.
You make it sound like the Gamebryo and Creation engines are vastly different. I played Starfield for 1 hour until I realized it's Morrowind but without soul.
I don't mean to be the 'aktsually' guy but MW2 does not use dual rendering for rendering zoomed scopes. Dual rendering was a technologically inelegant solution that potentially tanked framerates unless your engine or implementation had some tricks up its sleeve - it can be very costly to basically render the same thing twice every frame - as the name suggests. Most games nowadays zooms your entire view just like with the 2d scope overlay - but instead with the 3D scope model that's attached to the view model and zoomed to a lesser degree; which is funny because typically the first person weapon is usually rendered separately from the rest of the world, which is why your gun no matter the length never seems to phase/clip through the walls in front of it. So technically most games have used and gone back to using dual render scopes, and 'dual render scopes' is triple render scopes lol
honestly i started with fo4 and enjoyed the combat system but other than a few guns, it all felt the same, until now when i rly dont. but when i played new vegas each gun felt special and i rly enjoy that, plus most weapons can be made even more unique and fun if you take certain perks wish i had a computer ngl, so i can use some mods
It suffers from being created on the Gamebryo engine, and yet you said modders fixed the issues. So it's obviously not a gamebryo issue. Thanks for playing.
New Vegas was created in about 18 months iirc, modders have had nearly 16 years from the release of Fallout 3 and a metric fuckload of script addons to improve on the engine it's not really a fair comparison in my opinion
YES! I got in! 18:50 The Power of Autism is strong within this one, myself included! I'm honestly surprised how similar we are prone to smashing this damn game engine with our blunted forehead. Haha!
