    1. Calcium
    2. Multivitamins
    3. Vit C
Caveat - take timed release vit C or take it up to 4 times a day; you need continuous exposure to vit C to experience the benefits
    4. Ketone drinks
    5. Low quality probiotics
    6. Vit E
    7. Iron

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:29 🦴 *Calcium supplements may not benefit bone health and could deposit calcium in blood vessels. Get bioavailable calcium from foods like dark leafy greens and small fish like sardines or anchovies.*
01:54 💊 *Multivitamins were based on outdated standards. Minimum daily requirements may not meet actual health needs. Research suggests higher vitamin D levels are beneficial.*
04:15 🍊 *Vitamin C is essential but should be taken continuously for benefits. Consider time-release or multiple doses for consistent exposure.*
07:06 💧 *Ketone drinks are expensive and taste bad. Opt for MCT oil for a more affordable and palatable way to produce ketones.*
09:16 🧪 *Vitamin E supplements vary in effectiveness; some may cancel out others' benefits. Be selective if choosing vitamin E supplements.*

MCTs are only effective when your body enters ketosis which, unfortunately, takes over 70+ hours give or take without food. And you have to maintain least 50g of carbs each day is pathetic BS. It's dangerous when you don't know what you're doing and Supplementing with MCTs without in the state of ketosis is just a waste of money. Your body is a trove of carbs for fuel. No matter how much you tell your body that you are feeding it with fats. Unless, u are insecure about your look. U would rather want to look athletic than scrawny person who can't do sht.

TRUE! But you can't go wrong with a Minimum of 500mgs VIT C daily. I take a minimum of 1000mgs and if I feel a cold coming on, I increase that to 500mgs every waking hour, and IF by sheer bad luck I do catch a cold, I take 1000mgs Vit C each waking hour. I learned that from the late, great, Nobel Prize winner, Dr Linus Pauling. Vit C is excellent and vital for COLLAGEN growth, so women wishing to avoid wrinkles ought to take Vit C daily.

I started taking Berberine for my glucose levels. A friend of mine’s doc recommended he start taking it after he gave him a script for these fancy blood monitoring patches. He could see how carbs affected his blood sugar, then he started taking the berberine. He started to slowly loose weight and gain control of his blood sugar. He still has to be on meds but lower dose ones. My last blood panel showed my glucose was really high (it was a no fasting test) and I’ve been pre diabetic for a long time. Plus my weight was going up. I haven’t eaten sugar, wheat, rice for over 23 years! My appetite is always fairly low and if I’m not careful I’ll skip meals. I should not be over weight, but I’m more concerned with my blood sugar. I am almost 69 and I’m not on any meds. I do take supplements so it was easy to add berberine. I can no longer skip meals as my blood sugar drops so that’s nice. I did get Covid in the beginning and dropped a lot of weight (10 lbs) but since then I’ve been slowly dropping weight (maybe 2 lbs/month). I did have to do my blood panel a week after I started berberine and my glucose dropped from 200 to 90! My goal is staying off medications! The weight loss is a nice perk but it’s not fast waste loss which I think is better and easier for the body.

May i remark: if you want to follow the example known from the Mediterranian, make sure to go preferably for sardines with SKIN & BONES because they contain more calcium. Otherwise, your choice of fish, anchovies or sardines are pretty much the same - but keep in mind that both also contain omega 3 fats, vitamins D3 and K2, which are also benificial. I rather doubt nutrient suppliments for calcium contain the right nutrients like vitamin D3 and K2 as the fish do, which are probably essential to the bioavailability of getting the calcium to where it is needed.

A while back I read an article which says vit. C's half-life in human body is about 3.5 hours. Also, taking 400mg of vit. C at a time is pretty much a saturation point for blood concentration, taking any amount more than that will only increase blood concentration a tiny little bit. Only way to greatly increase blood concentration level of vit. C is by IV. So, taking 1000mg a time is a waste unless it's time-released form. Personally I take 500mg 3 times a day.

What are called "supplements" don't really do what people have been led to believe, and instead they are useless since they are not a whole food, and consequently they produce a toxic burden on the body. The idea that "supplements" can make up for a deficiency in our foods is not viable. It's a huge business that preys off our fears much resembling Big Farma tactics. Just look at protein powder as just one example of the scam. It's highly processed and does not support health. Nobody is suffering from a protein deficiency in the US, yet the protein hype has worked to sell these powders for 50 years.

My take om multivitamins/minerals is that they are incomplete. They are missing things we ared deficient in, such as magnesium.
And yes, they have too little of vitamin D, and none of K2
My hypotesis is that we only need more of things we don't get enough of. Supplementing with other things just increases our unbalances. How about Boron, for example?
So, if you are taking multvitamins, you also need to find ways to supplement with a lot of other things. A daunting thing to take on.
Dr Gundry's comment on vitamin E was confusing!
Multivitamins contains only Alpha-tocopherol. And we know that taking to much of that prevents the uptake of, for example, gamma-tocopherol, and that's harmful.
The solution would be a supplement with the other 7 kinds of vitamin E.
Dr Gundry didn't seem to think we should supplement with a balanced mix of vitamin E. I don't think he explained his thinking very well.

Vit C for example is excellent to bind to and detox from metals such as mercury from dental fillings; also assists/works together, and therefore spares glutathione; destroys cancer cells, because it has the same receptors as for glucose; for every cigarette smoked, more than 20mg of Vit C is used; it neutralises toxins from insect&snake bites; can be used safely in tiny babies to treat whooping cough, etc. etc.

Something else to examine critically about the "supplement debunking" studies is, at the very top level, make note of what they're supposedly debunking. I've seen a number of popular articles saying either "X does not prevent cancer!" or "X does not burn fat!"
Well, the use of supplements isn't always, specifically, to prevent cancer or burn fat.

However, whenever I feel achy lower back and left hip, I take an extra Vit D and also a Calcium/Mg/Zn combo pill (along /a little cheese), the pain significantly lessens and sometimes goes away entirely.
Have had Orthopod MD take X-rays, etc. and I do have bone loss, but when I take extra of these 2 gel tabs, it DOES make a difference!
And, disagree w/his take on Vit E and Iron.
My skin NOTICEABLY improved w/a Vit E (Up & Up/Target)!!! RECO TAKING IT 3X/WEEK!
My Neuro (and Endo) have found that most of us over 50 don't absorb our vitamins well (even though I always take them w/food!)!
So, my Neuro put me on 1/week, INHALED Vitamin B12 - which does significantly help w/nerve pain like migraines.
