EDIT: Early in the video I said that calcium in the arteries is problematic and is hypercalcemia. I should've said that 'excess' calcium in the vasculature is problematic and is then classed as hypercalcemia.
I read somewhere that blood vessel damage is what causes the body to put Calcium along the walls to keep them from leaking/bleeding. I havent remembered the causes that necessitate this type of calcification.

I'm a Black RN who take mega Doses of vitamin D3 with K2 I also use magnesium oil periodically. My vitamin D level I was told it was too high according to therapeutic levels however my calcium levels are within normal limits. I have never contracted Covid while working even though I've never the taken the shot that is due to having a a strong immune system.
The last doctor I mentioned K2 to, said " K2? Never heard of it." He then proceeds to look it up on webmd. If only doctors were taught nutrition in med school, we would all be healthier!
Yeah I broke my collarbone and my doctor was telling me to take D3. I told him I take D3 and K2 and he scoffed at me. Trying to learn what to do to heal my collarbone cause my doctor hasn't given me much information.
@saskhiker3935 You are doing well by taking vit D and K2. Eat enough protein, calcium and magnesium rich foods like dairy, green leafy veg, tinned sardines, fish, nuts and seeds. Also, have a few prunes for boron and vitamin c rich foods. You can also try horsetail herb which has lots of silica which is good for bone building. Bone repair takes time. Wishing you well.

I had blockage of 78% 28% and 45% in heart arteries I started to take k2- D3-and magnesium 6 years ago and just had a heart cath to look at me arteries, they are all clear and my bone density went up and my calcium level is great !❤️❤️

Actually one extremely important detail -- is not to look at things only in detail. Meaning don't just look at things in isolation or mechanistically. Some things look good / bad mechanistically but systemically function Very differently based on thousands of other variables.

Very interesting presentation, I’m almost 70 and take 2 Vit D3 and 1 Vit K2MK7 per day, I’ve been doing this for 7 months and recently when I went for my 6 monthly dental clean, the nurse who has been seeing me for over 5 years asked me what I was up to. She said “ I’ve never seen your teeth looking so good you have almost zero plaque build up” she also said my gums looked really full and healthy. I just had my first blood test since I’ve been taking D3 and K2-mk7 daily for about a year. My “good” HDL cholesterol is up 7% (was already high) and my “bad” LDL cholesterol dropped by 27% !!! Overall cholesterol down almost 16%. Hope my arteries have improved too! Side note: I also take a spoonful of olive oil with 3 drops of oregano oil daily but that’s more recent and stopped my almost constant runny nose from winter and spring allergies.

Oregano is natural antibiotic. Taking it daily can kill the good bacteria in your intestines and you start having dirhiarea. As soon as you start belching it, stop taking it.
Not one of my medical drs has ever talked about K2, ever, even when I say I take it with my D3. Most push calcium and that’s it. It’s a shame medical students learn basically nothing on what helps us be healthy. When you go to the drs now they just look up they symptoms on google and say “it appears this is the problem, what pharmacy do you want this sent to” I say if it’s for a statin, don’t bother.

Thank you for this. Now i understand why vitamin d3 by itself makes me feel sick, but when i switched to a d3 +k2 supplement i felt AMAZING. As an experiment i went back to d3 alone & felt like crap. But i thought it was all in my head. This is the confirmation i needed to know im not going crazy!
I noticed calcium deposits showing up in breast tissue & abdominal artery x-rays, so I immediately stopped calcium supplementation & added Vitamin K2 with Mk-7 to my regimen, daily. I should also add that I have taken vitamins all my adult life, and large daily supplement of Vitamin D3 since 2007. I am confident that the current regimen will help decrease the calcium deposits in those areas where unwanted, and send it into the bones where it belongs! Now I get adequate calcium from my daily diet, and I am doing great! I feel I was duped into taking large calcium supplements by the medical profession throughout all my childbearing years!
I had calcification of the tubes on my testicle, I could feel a large hard lump at the bottom of my testicle. I had anultrasound done on it and was told in the near future it would need to be removed. I started taking k2+d3 and NAC and within 2 months it was gone.
On the subject of K2... if you have a reasonably healthy diet, you probably don't need to supplement K2 at all. Just google "foods high in K2". 1 egg yolk contains 67 to 192 mcg of K2. Other foods high in K2 are cheeses, broccoli, canola oil, olive oil, etc.
Re: hypercalcemia and D3... Mayo Clinic has published info stating that hypercalcemia is not observed below 60,000 iu/day of D3 for 3 months. No mention of K2. This suggests an extremely wide margin of safety for D3 supplementation. The old problem found with excessive dosing with cod liver oil was likely from vitamin A overload.
I believe vitamin D is good for us but too much A is definitely bad. I've a rare brain disease called iih and we've issues with vitamin A excess so I know 1st hand how dangerous it can be! Im awaiting now for possible brain surgery to stop possible blindness due to all the csf pressure.
I just met a woman who told me she has osteoporosis and her doctor put her on 1200mg of calcium. Old school and not useful by current science. She didn't know if they'd checked her vitamin D. Never heard of K2. Now they want to give her a monthly injection to "help". Luckily she isn't constipated, but she has GI issues and has to limit fresh greens to once a week. Just an example of how uneducated medical professionals are re supplementation.

I've been taking 1600iu for several years and I've now been diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation and am also having circulation issues in my legs. I'm quite worried as to whether I should be taking vitamin D at all. My maternal grandfather died from arteriosclerosis resulting in a heart attack. Venous problems are also present in my genes. I’m an old white woman and I am delighted to have found your videos! I worked in medicine (EMT &EKG tech) in the dark ages (1978-1983)! In the dark ages, media was still promoting the “Twiggy look” for women. A very dysmorphic view of what a healthy woman should look like. So my friends and I spent our youth trying to be thin! The upside was that we learned about nutrition - such info that was available in the dark ages. Of course now that my friends and I are old, we spend all our time trying to figure out how to look youthful without doing a facelift (we have no desire to have our faces cut on!). At my last visit with my new primary, when he saw my latest D3 blood serum level was 235 (55,000IU/day/2 years to treat eliminate my prostate tumors. IT WORKED!), his response was, “Wow! In all my years as a doctor (he's retiring next month) I have never seen D3 levels that high. Congratulations!" Then he said, “You might want to take your supplementation down a notch,” (I already had a week before when I saw the results) Then he said,“But there’s nothing to worry about. Up know vitamin D3 toxicity is largely a myth, right?” I did. But it's was great to hear its from him! I told him I was already taking 600mcg of vitamin K2 MK-7, as well as 1000mcg of K-1. So my calcium is completely normal as well. I have other health issues I’m dealing with but I’m hopeful the rising nutrition counter-culture will steer me right.

Drs put my elderly mother on calcium and d3 but never mentioned k2. Shenow makes sure to take k2 with it.
When I told my doctor I was taking vitamin K2 she asked me why I would take a blood thinner and blood thickener at the same time ( ???? ) Thought I was goofy, then asked if I was still taking the 80mg of Simvastatin she prescribed

I have been binge watching all your videos. I’m a RN and also hold a degree in nutrition. I wish everyone would watch this video. The general public is uneducated on this topic and just take vitamin d and calcium with no actual idea what they are doing.
Many countries throughout the world have a very high standard of education. Depending on the country of your origin they do not know because they were not taught at school nor at home. I am a seniour citizen born and raised in AFRICA, raised by parents that were not very educated but they encouraged their children to eat healthy, our mother cooked healthy foods. I want to make an example with the USA they are terribly obese, maybe not taught at home to eat healthy, their education is very lacking and even socially they are not up to standard. Maybe your comment is geared towards the USA, are you from the USA? seems like it. Healthy eating starts at home, many of us come from homes where nutritious meals were cooked at home hence all the vitamins in our foods.
When a GP was recently reviewing the results of some blood tests he ran, he commented that my Vitamin D levels were "high" at 240, stating that "normal" levels were 50-200 and said that I was obviously supplementing (which I am, on the advice of a previous physician) and told me to stop. I responded that I am also supplementing with K2 to go along with the D3, and he looked at me strangely and responded nonchalantly that "K2 comes from your diet; there is no need to supplement with it". This particular doc doesn't even know me and has no idea of my diet and/or lifestyle; for all he knows I could be a strict vegan who gets little or no K2 from my diet. I have previously had full cardio scans done (CT scans & ultrasounds) following a SVT event and the cardiologist commended me on my arteries being clear, with a low calcium score and only very minimal soft plaquing for my age (I am in my mid 50's). Oh, and I rarely come down with colds or the 'Flu and was unaffected during the pandemic when everyone else around me was being stricken with Covid.
Bravo for you! I hope I can acquire a similar CAC score and “good arterial health” whenever I can get tested! I had the same experience during all the bad Covid years, and very thankful that I kept my D3 intake up “above average.” I am currently taking 100mcgs. K2 with Mk-7 twice a day, along with a total of 6,000 I.U.’s of D3, and around 240 mgs. Of magnesium Glycinate. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, so I do not take any additional calcium at all.

Dr, Berg is a quack...he's been called out several times on UA-cam...check out Dr. Brad Stanfield..he always backs up his views with empirical evidence and peer reviewed papers....also look at dr. John campbell......I digress....a well informed video from Dr.abs...since COVID I take 10,000 units of d3 in the morning and 200 mg of k2-mk 7 in the evening....I believe that Life Extension supplements contain magnesium stearate as a filler...I always try to obtain my supplements from reliable companies that make it very clear that they do not use magnesium stearate
No one took vitamin D growing up. Why do we have to take it now? Don’t I get enough from milk, cheese, and the sun? I go outside a lot, drink milk, and eat cheese. What happened in the world to cause us to be deficient.
I started taking D3 5000 units a day for two years without K2. My coronary calcium score went from 30 to 110 freak me out. I started on K2 now it’s down to 90.

Ya..even my a1c blood labs ..never been high enough to take insulin..need be 8.0..ive never been over 7.1 and more on average iv flucuated between 6.4 and down low ..ine time at 5.8..trying get there again..my trclycerides used to be ..300 -400 and once high as 670..freaked me out ..But now ..to between 150 -199 ....trying to bring back down to like..100 or less ..
I've taken D3 +K2 for years and years. Last year I ran out of K2 so I took the D3 alone. Big mistake. I ended up with a kidney stone. Never had issues with this and no one in my family has either. It finally dawned on me that without the K2 the calcium wasn't being directed to my bones. Never again.
@@missmory8888 It's been my experience that the amount of D3 needed can vary. Size/body fat can affect how much you need. Plus latitude/location (angle of the sun/time of year), age, skin type and sun exposure can affect how much Vitamin D you get naturally. So it is a good idea to get your Vit D levels measured thru a blood test (but bear in mind that your Vit D level can be very different in early September than it is in early March, as the angle of sun changes with the seasons). A tall, hefty person can take a lot of D3 but still have trouble raising their blood levels, whereas a small, skinny person can take the same amount and have high levels. For myself, I take 100mcg of K2 a day and 1000mg of D3 in the summer and 4,000 to 5,000 mg of D3 in the winter. I stopped taking calcium supplements (and I get my calcium levels measured at my annual physical), and I also take Magnesium (which aids Vitamin D) and some other supplements. I recommend you find a nutritionist/doctor you trust who can monitor your levels and make sure you are doing what is best for you.
@@missmory8888 It depends on your current Vit D levels, You should have 100 ng/ml Vit D in your blood to stay healthy and be immune to diseases. Dr Berg recommends 10000 IUs of Vit D3 + 100mcg of K2 everyday as a maintenance dose. Eat them for a year to increase your levels or more if you are Vit D deficient
A k2 mk7 that has the "MenaQ7" formula is the all trans version that is needed. It's also important to look at the other ingredients list as well. I noticed the Super K has maltodextrin, which is something to stay away from. There are brands available that have MenaQ7 while offering a clean other ingredients list free from bad fillers, TrueVantage is one of those brands.
Are you sure the MenaQ7 is the trans version? The one I've taken for a while is MenaQ7, but the LE brand actually says "trans." He also mentioned a different brand in addition to trans - did he say sis? It's not on the LE brand or anything sounding close to it. I actually couldn't find anything close to it on any brand. I wish he had spelled it or said what it actually was and how it's listed.
As a doctor you know that Calcium is often misplaced. Meaning that it deposits in your kidney's and heart and cannot be measured via a blood test. The blood test measures calcium in your blood, not the excess calcium that has been redirected in your body to go to the wrong places. If you take K2 this helps the calcium to go to the right places and not deposit in your organs.
Can K2 mk7 help to redistribute the calcium after it has been deposited in organs? I took high doses of D3 for years before learning about K2. In that time I had a CAC scan which showed high (1000) calcification of the heart. I'm now supplementing K2 mk7 and hoping some of this calcium will now get driven into my bones and teeth. Is this possible or have I over simplified the mechanics of it?
I had a parathyroid gland the size of a golf ball it was pulling the calcium out of my bones. My doctor ordered urine tests. I had surgery for removal and now my calcium leaves are normal.

I have the MTHFR genotype meaning I must supplement with B vitamins. Everyone needs the genetic test once in their life. I do supplement with D3 and K2 among other supplements. I’m 67 and have no health issues. I had many issues when I was a vegetarian and on a low fat diet. What is the point of supplementing if you do not know what your body needs. Everyone needs the test because 50% of the population has my genotype. The homocysteine levels are high on the blood test. Get the test folks. I’m a medical professional as well. I was getting severe charlie horse cramps in my lower legs from shin to knee. I told my doctor and she changed me to Magnesium Oxide. I have never had another charlie horse since. I take D3 because they found that I was extremely low on D3 and started with shots immediately. I am still taking it daily. I also take C now because I lost the use of my legs and the cause was lack of both of these vitamins. I am starting to walk again. But I am limited because I also have ankylosing spondylitis. I was diagnosed with this condition in 2006. I am now in a wheelchair and not getting better. I have 4 vertebrae now fused together in my lower spine. I am still trying to care for myself alone. I am highly independent and don't want to be a burden on anyone.
Excellent video, and it's great to find someone who explains things at the level of depth that brings a good understanding. The end of the video reveals that you are unlikely to have a problem with vascular calcification if you eat plenty of meat, dairy and eggs. That is what I have been doing in recent years, avoiding processed food, sugar and seed oils. I have been taking vitamin D since before Covid and have always had a worry that I have no idea what my vitamin D levels are and maybe they are too high. I am a lot less concerned about that having watched this video. Your comments about the lack of knowledge of many doctors and scientists doesn't surprise me at all after the deluge of nonsense most have pushed in the last few years. It's been a painful readjustment of my worldview.

@@Dr_Abs cooking goes a long way in decreasing lectins - also soaking beans before cooking does the same - I try to follow a traditional Chinese diet where they lightly cook their veg, eat a lot of fermented foods etc. Everybody is different - some people do very well on meat and others do not - So I don't think there is a perfect diet - just listen to your body - don't eat to much and enjoy your food!

How much D3 is too much D3? People have worked in the sun for hours on end before heart disease was a problem, and they were getting thousands of so-called IUs of vitamin D. Taking K2 with D3 helps. Vitamin D also helps your Immune system. The US couch potato lifestyle and junk food is mostly the problem and it has gotten worse with everyone glued to a smartphone.
Thanks for this video! I supplement D3 at 5,000 IU's per day and I already knew about the importance of K2, which I also supplement at 125 mcg per day, but I did not know about the different types. My blood D3 is at 95 nmol/L. Not bad but could be a bit higher. After watching this video, I did a little research and found I shouldn't be supplementing K2 at all! 1 egg yolk contains 67 to 192 mcg of K2 and I eat eggs every day. I actually eat 2-5 eggs per day. I also eat a lot of broccoli, another food high in K2, and olive oil, also high in K2. In short, I'm already getting way more K2 than the RDI, without supplementing. After listening to you, I've also decided to up my intake of D3 to 10,000 IUs per day as I could benefit from a higher blood level (140-180 nmol/L would be my preferred target) and I know I'm already getting more than enough K2 through my regular diet. Well that's the first I ever heard an egg container over 67 micrograms of K2. It may occur in hens are fed vitamin K fortified feed but that is probably vitamin K1. ..big difference. The other foods you mention may be high in K1 .. Certainly not K2. Go look it up.
That's good, but it tells us nothing if you don't share your blood work results such as vit.D and Calcium levels, or inflammamion markers, A1C, (HDL, TG's), and what you normally eat (you could be eating cake, donuts, or ice cream every day, or could be 300-400lbs and all the supplements in the world wouldn't help you).

I have supplemented with D3 for several/many years, and i have NEVER had a physician say "be sure to take your K2 with that D3!" So, i have recently started taking the Super K suggested in this video. My goal is to improve my bone health, which my DEXA scan (I'm 68 yo female) shows as borderline osteopenia. The only thing he DID do right was alert me to a very VERY low D3 blood level. He really improved my life in that way. But he never mentioned K2. He was also big into pushing Statins on me even thou I had really bad reactions to it. Kept pushing statins and veganism. He retired from medicine and opened up an marijuana dispensery. I now have a doc that is ok with me not taking statins and eating keto and meat. This CURED my pre-diabetic blood sugar problem as I dropped the amount of bread/pasta, had increased energy which got me into the gym and the lap pool and I lost 50 lbs. D3, K2, and more meat based proteins now has me lifting weights, threadmill, and lap swimming several times a week (like 5 or 6 days/week). To keep the arteries good I take the Flushing type Niacin. I have energy, I feel good. and I'm 70 years old. I weigh 203 lbs (naked) and 5'9" high and it's mostly muscle from weight lifting.
Exact same stats except 195lbs. Was put on D3 and B12 for deficiencies. Triglycerides and cholesterol through the roof. Genetic. Had a problem with statins not working until one did - branded (now generic) Lipitor. Now numbers are normal. Changed my diet to lose 65 lbs successfully. Diabetes still present, but not as severe. Even if all carbs eliminated I still need some insulin. Doc suspects a combo of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Came across something that practically eliminated insulin. Oatmeal - 1/4 cup at breakfast. Tried another with dinner to even smaller effect. Have to keep portion small as I don't want weight gain due to excess carbs. I have a little bit of 'treats' once or twice a week to stay in this food maintenance regimen. I eat two small meals a day.
@@Dr_Abs My take on Indians having the highest rates of obesity and diabetes is linked to high Carbs/sugar diet and perhaps the wrong oils in cooking. White rice for example could be eaten in small amounts, avoid food with added sugar and bad oils such as frying in sunflower or vegetable oils. Perhaps cooking differently? too much white salt is another problem with High blood pressure issues? using less salt that is say raw celtic sea salt or original pink Himalayan as examples.

There is a supplement called nattokinease (I think I spelled it correct) that the Japanese people, who make up a lot of fishermen and in the sun all day, take daily to keep their arteries running smooth. Oh my gosh! Two years ago I had a horrible pain in my heart that I ignored. I’ve been trying to figure out what it was ever since. I had been taking 10,000iu of D3 without k2 for 3 years.
You didn’t check with a doctor?! Definitely keep drinking enough water then. A doctor might recommend a baby aspirin every few days too as a mild blood thinner. Beyond that… I’ll leave it to the professionals.
Having angina and wanting to clear artery blockage, I started D3K7K2. After a fall and a gash to the scalp, the deep and large wound clotted almost instantly, k2 action certainly, but I stopped the supplement because very sluggish circulation and rapid clotting in narrowed arteries is a recipe for stroke and heart attack. I did much better consuming greens which are high in K2. the intake of greens and no animal products resulted in greatly reducing angina within a week and after two weeks, no angina and improved exercise tolerance.

Thank you!! I have taken coral calcium for years in rotation because my blood calcium tends to be low, causing palpitations. I just had an echo cardiologram and my arteries and heart are healthy. I am 63. My bloodwork showed my calcium high “normal” and my D3 very low. Now, supplementing daily with D3-K2. I’m also polycystic and have MTHFR anomalies. None of what the medical system says makes any sense because we aren’t the same!
Even at 5000 IU of D3, my D level is only 47. I added 60 mcg K2 MK-7 by Procaps and the two blood levels that changed noticeably was cholesterol dropped (lower LDL, higher HDL) and my A1c went from my usual 5.3/5.4 to 5.0 and is still there a year later. I have plaque in my aorta and, of course, improvement isn't something easy to identify. Good video I need to watch again breaking down the actual science.

Vit D defiencent actually.. then now back to normal, I kept taking VitD .. didn't know about K2 at the time... suffered a middle of the night violent home invasion .. the shock gave me a mild heart attack, 5 days in hospital with various test shows one heart artery (left) is 50% blocked, all others are ok, veins 'look beautiful' Engiogram doctor's words. Soo ... bottom line, my humble opinion, not a medical diagnosis, watch out for excesses... take a little , then check, blood test will tell you - also how your body feels will tell you. Now I myself make sure that everytime I take Vit D... I also take K2.. so so important. And surprisingly I have come accross medical doctors who didn't know about K2... one doctor actually said to me "K2.. what's that?" -- her words!!! Adopt the cautious approach. Maximum benefits take place when taken at different times of the day, with food. As both are fat soluble vitamins. Combining both in a single oral supplement is confounding.
So many supplement companies offer them together ! I wonder just how paradoxical they are. Meaning numbers of how one affects the other would be helpful. Because it’s a lot easier to take the d3 and the k2 together.

Twenty years ago, I deveoped a severe case of hypercalcemia from D2 supplementation. Back then, I had never heard of D2 related excess calcium, in fact, I was taking a normal normal and the doctor told me, "You can't overdose on vitamin D". But I became systemically stiff and arthritic. She said that that is permanent damage and that there was no cure. I was determined and found a treatment on my own, and it took over a year to reverse this issue. I wish I'd known about K2 and magnesium at the time. I has so many stories like this. So aggravating.

I take magnesium citrate before bed to help sleep. I notice when I don't take it for awhile, I start getting leg cramps during the day and when trying to sleep. Some of them are just brutal. Be careful which kind you take, some will make you poop. Think of Milk of Magnesia; don't recall which form of magnesium that is.

I need some help & so many doctors don't know this information. I can't eat meat ... it's been over 26 yrs of no chicken, beef, turkey, or pork. I eat salmon, fruits, & veggies. My heart aches. I majored I’m chemistry in college. I understood what you said about the metabolic pathways of calcium metabolism in the body. For the layman or even those with some degree of biochemistry knowledge, it would have been helpful to use diagrams of the metabolic pathways involved especially when you described carboxylation and calcium binding.
Timely video, I take both D2 and calcium after discovering at the demist I had soft bones causing dental implant failure. Since then have revered that issues but had been concerned about the D3. This has explained a lot.

A sedentary lifestyle, not going out into the sun, not exercising (even a daily 15 minute walk) and taking D3 without its sidekick K2 probably contributed to the problem. Oh, and she has CHF. I think there is a correlation between all the factors mentioned and that calcium and D3 were physician recommended and taken but without K2.

I take 50,000iu a week with K2 and it makes calcium go to bones not arteries etc. It must work. I fall alot outside and inside and havent broke any bones. I had a heart attack in 2014. I had stone in my artery after 3 days of widening the vessel I got 3 stents and a blood thinner. Vitamin D was low at that time. I dont take calcium.

I find this all very interesting. But you recommend a product with wood pulp as a filler? I have been studying this for years and everyone seems to have their own spin on it. Q: I notice my calcium went up on liquid D3 and K2 which I took to avoid microcrystalline (aka wood pulp) but I also added collagen powder for hair and nails, taking 1/3 the recommended dose. So not sure which one caused it. But!!! The brand you recommended uses microcrystalline cellulose as a filler. As do most of the supplements, they use other forms of cellulose as well.🙄 I would think you should do a video on this since you recommend this product. Companies note that some forms are plant based which include stems, sticks and branches, but most are manufactured from companies which makes products from wood pulp and cotton. I am not happy about that circulating around in my arteries either. Hence the auto immune disorders, hardening of the arteries, fibromyalgia and Stiff Persons disease… who knows. We need to stop with these types of fillers. Don’t tell me it is a safe amount… as accumulation of it has never been studied. Let alone if you take 3-4 different high dose supplements daily. Microcrystalline cellulose is not digestible and is too huge of a molecule to pass through the intestinal lumen. It simply acts as additional fiber. You don't accumulate it, it just passes through. Also, it is not _wood pulp_. It is very far removed from the base material (which can be wood pulp). So, what is the problem? If you are allergic to it for some reason there are alternate solutions. Innovix has an all-trans MK-4/MK-7 that is in an oil base gel cap. That might be a workable solution if the thought of swallowing something derived from wood pulp is just not acceptable.

I was taking calcium OTC for bone pain during sleep and I stopped when I heard about calcium side effect. The bone pain had stopped though, but I was still taking the calcium when I heard about risk of heart attack.

My vitamin D levels are at ~150 nmol/L. That's in the middle of the normal range... but often considered high by many doctors. Calcium levels are normal. This is achieved by taking 50,000 IU D3 weekly. The benefit of higher Vit D levels is a reduced frequency and intensity of colds. Taking K2 5 mg/day as well. :-)
I've been taking 5000 iu of D3 for the last 6-7 years, in the winter, and 200 mcg of k2. When I take this amount, my D3 levels are around 50-60 ng/ml. In the summertime, I don't take any supplement, but I expose myself to at least 30 minutes to 2 hours in the sun, almost everyday, and my levels are around 78 ng/ml. My calcium levels are in the normal range. Only once, it started to get a little to high, because I was taking 3 mg of boron a day. It defenetly raised my vit D levels, but it also raised calcium.
interesting out the boron, I started taking 3mg a day for my receding gum on a few teeth. I started dowsing a month ago for what my body needed instead of just popping pills and its very accurate...I dont need what I think I do each day....
Here in Australia we can’t dig into blood tests the way other countries can in greater detail. I’m going for a basic test shortly. I’ve just gone back from a 2 year vegan/vegetarian diet to now eating everything grass fed beef, eggs chicken (organic) fish …not enough greens …everything except pork. How often do I need to eat meat (still not loving it but I’m trying) and roughly how much per portion …do I have to avoid legumes? Is that what you were referring to re plants getting in the way of absortion. I’m 62 slim build have noticed effects of going vegan pretty drastically in my body would love some recommendations please.

I'm 72 and found keto/carnivore diet very good for me, especially using only 2 meals a day. Mainly learned to be patient, go by how you feel, every body is different. I read somewhere that blood vessel damage is what causes the body to put Calcium along the walls to keep them from leaking/bleeding. I havent remembered the causes that necessitate this type of calcification.

I'm a Black RN who take mega Doses of vitamin D3 with K2 I also use magnesium oil periodically. My vitamin D level I was told it was too high according to therapeutic levels however my calcium levels are within normal limits. I have never contracted Covid while working even though I've never the taken the shot that is due to having a a strong immune system.

Also, have a few prunes for boron and vitamin c rich foods. You can also try horsetail herb which has lots of silica which is good for bone building. Bone repair takes time. Wishing you well.

Very interesting presentation, I’m almost 70 and take 2 Vit D3 and 1 Vit K2MK7 per day, I’ve been doing this for 7 months and recently when I went for my 6 monthly dental clean, the nurse who has been seeing me for over 5 years asked me what I was up to. She said “ I’ve never seen your teeth looking so good you have almost zero plaque build up” she also said my gums looked really full and healthy.
So hopefully my arteries are getting the same treatment.

I’m 35, haven’t been to the dentist in around 15 years until yesterday. They asked me how my teeth looked so good with zero build up as well. I said it was probably the d3+k2, they didn’t know what it was.
I do take vit d and k2 but I still get plaque buildup.
@@MBT372 Hmm how’s your diet look? No refined carbs, processed sugar, smoking, or coffee here. I also drink prolly a gallon of water a day and eat more protein than carbs. My teeth used to be very bad. I had 13 cavities filled at once before I got healthy, haven’t had an issue since. Was a 20 year smoker too, started very young.

Yes, that’s who I learned to take my K2 with D3 years ago! Dr Berg kept it more simplified but emphasized the importance of using them together. Dr Abs is quite in depth with the process.

I just had my first blood test since I’ve been taking D3 and K2-mk7 daily for about a year. My “good” HDL cholesterol is up 7% (was already high) and my “bad” LDL cholesterol dropped by 27% !!! Overall cholesterol down almost 16%. Hope my arteries have improved too! Side note: I also take a spoonful of olive oil with 3 drops of oregano oil daily but that’s more recent and stopped my almost constant runny nose from winter and spring allergies.

Oregano is natural antibiotic. Taking it daily can kill the good bacteria in your intestines and you start having dirhiarea. As soon as you start belching it, stop taking it.
Not one of my medical drs has ever talked about K2, ever, even when I say I take it with my D3. Most push calcium and that’s it. It’s a shame medical students learn basically nothing on what helps us be healthy. When you go to the drs now they just look up they symptoms on google and say “it appears this is the problem, what pharmacy do you want this sent to” I say if it’s for a statin, don’t bother.

Plz explain deposit of oalcium salts in the skin of ckd4 patient.
I noticed calcium deposits showing up in breast tissue & abdominal artery x-rays, so I immediately stopped calcium supplementation & added Vitamin K2 with Mk-7 to my regimen, daily. I should also add that I have taken vitamins all my adult life, and large daily supplement of Vitamin D3 since 2007. I am confident that the current regimen will help decrease the calcium deposits in those areas where unwanted, and send it into the bones where it belongs! Now I get adequate calcium from my daily diet, and I am doing great! I feel I was duped into taking large calcium supplements by the medical profession throughout all my childbearing years!
I might add that I also take magnesium Glycinate.

I had calcification of the tubes on my testicle, I could feel a large hard lump at the bottom of my testicle. I had anultrasound done on it and was told in the near future it would need to be removed. I started taking k2+d3 and NAC and within 2 months it was gone.
On the subject of K2... if you have a reasonably healthy diet, you probably don't need to supplement K2 at all.

1 egg yolk contains 67 to 192 mcg of K2. Other foods high in K2 are cheeses, broccoli, canola oil, olive oil, etc.
Re: hypercalcemia and D3... Mayo Clinic has published info stating that hypercalcemia is not observed below 60,000 iu/day of D3 for 3 months. No mention of K2. This suggests an extremely wide margin of safety for D3 supplementation. The old problem found with excessive dosing with cod liver oil was likely from vitamin A overload.

I believe vitamin D is good for us but too much A is definitely bad. I've a rare brain disease called iih and we've issues with vitamin A excess so I know 1st hand how dangerous it can be! Im awaiting now for possible brain surgery to stop possible blindness due to all the csf pressure.

I just met a woman who told me she has osteoporosis and her doctor put her on 1200mg of calcium. Old school and not useful by current science. She didn't know if they'd checked her vitamin D. Never heard of K2. Now they want to give her a monthly injection to "help". Luckily she isn't constipated, but she has GI issues and has to limit fresh greens to once a week. Just an example of how uneducated medical professionals are re supplementation.

I've been taking 1600iu for several years and I've now been diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation and am also having circulation issues in my legs.

I’m an old white woman and I am delighted to have found your videos! I worked in medicine (EMT &EKG tech) in the dark ages (1978-1983)! In the dark ages, media was still promoting the “Twiggy look” for women. A very dysmorphic view of what a healthy woman should look like. So my friends and I spent our youth trying to be thin! The upside was that we learned about nutrition - such info that was available in the dark ages. Of course now that my friends and I are old, we spend all our time trying to figure out how to look youthful without doing a facelift (we have no desire to have our faces cut on!). At my last visit with my new primary, when he saw my latest D3 blood serum level was 235 (55,000IU/day/2 years to treat eliminate my prostate tumors. IT WORKED!), his response was, “Wow! In all my years as a doctor (he's retiring next month) I have never seen D3 levels that high. Congratulations!"
Then he said, “You might want to take your supplementation down a notch,” (I already had a week before when I saw the results) Then he said,“But there’s nothing to worry about. Up know vitamin D3 toxicity is largely a myth, right?” I did. But it's was great to hear its from him!
I told him I was already taking 600mcg of vitamin K2 MK-7, as well as 1000mcg of K-1. So my calcium is completely normal as well.
I have other health issues I’m dealing with but I’m hopeful the rising nutrition counter-culture will steer me right.

So much cheaper and I can take therapeutic doses of a gram and more. I forget if I get it from purebulk or bulksupplements.

Many countries throughout the world have a very high standard of education. Depending on the country of your origin they do not know because they were not taught at school nor at home. I am a seniour citizen born and raised in AFRICA, raised by parents that were not very educated but they encouraged their children to eat healthy, our mother cooked healthy foods. I want to make an example with the USA they are terribly obese, maybe not taught at home to eat healthy, their education is very lacking and even socially they are not up to standard. Maybe your comment is geared towards the USA, are you from the USA? seems like it. Healthy eating starts at home, many of us come from homes where nutritious meals were cooked at home hence all the vitamins in our foods.

When a GP was recently reviewing the results of some blood tests he ran, he commented that my Vitamin D levels were "high" at 240, stating that "normal" levels were 50-200 and said that I was obviously supplementing (which I am, on the advice of a previous physician) and told me to stop. I responded that I am also supplementing with K2 to go along with the D3, and he looked at me strangely and responded nonchalantly that "K2 comes from your diet; there is no need to supplement with it". This particular doc doesn't even know me and has no idea of my diet and/or lifestyle; for all he knows I could be a strict vegan who gets little or no K2 from my diet. I have previously had full cardio scans done (CT scans & ultrasounds) following a SVT event and the cardiologist commended me on my arteries being clear, with a low calcium score and only very minimal soft plaquing for my age (I am in my mid 50's). Oh, and I rarely come down with colds or the 'Flu and was unaffected during the pandemic when everyone else around me was being stricken with Covid.
Bravo for you! I hope I can acquire a similar CAC score and “good arterial health” whenever I can get tested! I had the same experience during all the bad Covid years, and very thankful that I kept my D3 intake up “above average.” I am currently taking 100mcgs. K2 with Mk-7 twice a day, along with a total of 6,000 I.U.’s of D3, and around 240 mgs. Of magnesium Glycinate. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, so I do not take any additional calcium at all.

I've taken D3 +K2 for years and years. Last year I ran out of K2 so I took the D3 alone. Big mistake. I ended up with a kidney stone. Never had issues with this and no one in my family has either. It finally dawned on me that without the K2 the calcium wasn't being directed to my bones. Never again.
I take a combination of the 2 in one tablet.

@@missmory8888 It's been my experience that the amount of D3 needed can vary. Size/body fat can affect how much you need. Plus latitude/location (angle of the sun/time of year), age, skin type and sun exposure can affect how much Vitamin D you get naturally. So it is a good idea to get your Vit D levels measured thru a blood test (but bear in mind that your Vit D level can be very different in early September than it is in early March, as the angle of sun changes with the seasons). A tall, hefty person can take a lot of D3 but still have trouble raising their blood levels, whereas a small, skinny person can take the same amount and have high levels.
For myself, I take 100mcg of K2 a day and 1000mg of D3 in the summer and 4,000 to 5,000 mg of D3 in the winter. I stopped taking calcium supplements (and I get my calcium levels measured at my annual physical), and I also take Magnesium (which aids Vitamin D) and some other supplements. I recommend you find a nutritionist/doctor you trust who can monitor your levels and make sure you are doing what is best for you.

Dr Berg recommends 10000 IUs of Vit D3 + 100mcg of K2 everyday as a maintenance dose. Eat them for a year to increase your levels or more if you are Vit D deficient

A k2 mk7 that has the "MenaQ7" formula is the all trans version that is needed. It's also important to look at the other ingredients list as well. I noticed the Super K has maltodextrin, which is something to stay away from. There are brands available that have MenaQ7 while offering a clean other ingredients list free from bad fillers, TrueVantage is one of those brands.
That amount of maltodextrin won't hurt a thing. It's a very small amount. We used to drink grams of it in pre workout drinks.
Are you sure the MenaQ7 is the trans version? The one I've taken for a while is MenaQ7, but the LE brand actually says "trans." He also mentioned a different brand in addition to trans - did he say sis? It's not on the LE brand or anything sounding close to it. I actually couldn't find anything close to it on any brand. I wish he had spelled it or said what it actually was and how it's listed.

As a doctor you know that Calcium is often misplaced. Meaning that it deposits in your kidney's and heart and cannot be measured via a blood test. The blood test measures calcium in your blood, not the excess calcium that has been redirected in your body to go to the wrong places. If you take K2 this helps the calcium to go to the right places and not deposit in your organs.
Can K2 mk7 help to redistribute the calcium after it has been deposited in organs? I took high doses of D3 for years before learning about K2. In that time I had a CAC scan which showed high (1000) calcification of the heart. I'm now supplementing K2 mk7 and hoping some of this calcium will now get driven into my bones and teeth. Is this possible or have I over simplified the mechanics of it?

I had a parathyroid gland the size of a golf ball it was pulling the calcium out of my bones. My doctor ordered urine tests. I had surgery for removal and now my calcium leaves are normal.

I have the MTHFR genotype meaning I must supplement with B vitamins. Everyone needs the genetic test once in their life. I do supplement with D3 and K2 among other supplements. I’m 67 and have no health issues. I had many issues when I was a vegetarian and on a low fat diet. What is the point of supplementing if you do not know what your body needs. Everyone needs the test because 50% of the population has my genotype. The homocysteine levels are high on the blood test. Get the test folks. I’m a medical professional as well. I was getting severe charlie horse cramps in my lower legs from shin to knee. I told my doctor and she changed me to Magnesium Oxide. I have never had another charlie horse since. I take D3 because they found that I was extremely low on D3 and started with shots immediately. I am still taking it daily. I also take C now because I lost the use of my legs and the cause was lack of both of these vitamins. I am starting to walk again. But I am limited because I also have ankylosing spondylitis. I was diagnosed with this condition in 2006. I am now in a wheelchair and not getting better. I have 4 vertebrae now fused together in my lower spine. I am still trying to care for myself alone. I am highly independent and don't want to be a burden on anyone.

Excellent video, and it's great to find someone who explains things at the level of depth that brings a good understanding. The end of the video reveals that you are unlikely to have a problem with vascular calcification if you eat plenty of meat, dairy and eggs. That is what I have been doing in recent years, avoiding processed food, sugar and seed oils. I have been taking vitamin D since before Covid and have always had a worry that I have no idea what my vitamin D levels are and maybe they are too high. I am a lot less concerned about that having watched this video. Your comments about the lack of knowledge of many doctors and scientists doesn't surprise me at all after the deluge of nonsense most have pushed in the last few years. It's been a painful readjustment of my worldview.
K2 also comes in fermented plant foods, e.g. Japan and South Korea

@@Dr_Abs cooking goes a long way in decreasing lectins - also soaking beans before cooking does the same - I try to follow a traditional Chinese diet where they lightly cook their veg, eat a lot of fermented foods etc. Everybody is different - some people do very well on meat and others do not - So I don't think there is a perfect diet - just listen to your body - don't eat to much and enjoy your food!

How much D3 is too much D3? People have worked in the sun for hours on end before heart disease was a problem, and they were getting thousands of so-called IUs of vitamin D. Taking K2 with D3 helps. Vitamin D also helps your Immune system. The US couch potato lifestyle and junk food is mostly the problem and it has gotten worse with everyone glued to a smartphone.

I supplement D3 at 5,000 IU's per day and I already knew about the importance of K2, which I also supplement at 125 mcg per day, but I did not know about the different types. My blood D3 is at 95 nmol/L. Not bad but could be a bit higher.
After watching this video, I did a little research and found I shouldn't be supplementing K2 at all!
1 egg yolk contains 67 to 192 mcg of K2 and I eat eggs every day. I actually eat 2-5 eggs per day.
I also eat a lot of broccoli, another food high in K2, and olive oil, also high in K2. In short, I'm already getting way more K2 than the RDI, without supplementing.
After listening to you, I've also decided to up my intake of D3 to 10,000 IUs per day as I could benefit from a higher blood level (140-180 nmol/L would be my preferred target) and I know I'm already getting more than enough K2 through my regular diet.

Well that's the first I ever heard an egg container over 67 micrograms of K2. It may occur in hens are fed vitamin K fortified feed but that is probably vitamin K1. ..big difference. The other foods you mention may be high in K1 ..

That's good, but it tells us nothing if you don't share your blood work results such as vit.D and Calcium levels, or inflammamion markers, A1C, (HDL, TG's), and what you normally eat (you could be eating cake, donuts, or ice cream every day, or could be 300-400lbs and all the supplements in the world wouldn't help you).

I have supplemented with D3 for several/many years, and i have NEVER had a physician say "be sure to take your K2 with that D3!" So, i have recently started taking the Super K suggested in this video. My goal is to improve my bone health, which my DEXA scan (I'm 68 yo female) shows as borderline osteopenia. I had this doc that was always pushing plant based on me. The only thing he DID do right was alert me to a very VERY low D3 blood level. He really improved my life in that way. But he never mentioned K2.
He was also big into pushing Statins on me even thou I had really bad reactions to it. Kept pushing statins and veganism. He retired from medicine and opened up an marijuana dispensery. I now have a doc that is ok with me not taking statins and eating keto and meat. This CURED my pre-diabetic blood sugar problem as I dropped the amount of bread/pasta, had increased energy which got me into the gym and the lap pool and I lost 50 lbs. D3, K2, and more meat based proteins now has me lifting weights, threadmill, and lap swimming several times a week (like 5 or 6 days/week). To keep the arteries good I take the Flushing type Niacin.
I have energy, I feel good. and I'm 70 years old. I weigh 203 lbs (naked) and 5'9" high and it's mostly muscle from weight lifting.
Exact same stats except 195lbs. Was put on D3 and B12 for deficiencies. Triglycerides and cholesterol through the roof. Genetic. Had a problem with statins not working until one did - branded (now generic) Lipitor. Now numbers are normal. Changed my diet to lose 65 lbs successfully. Diabetes still present, but not as severe. Even if all carbs eliminated I still need some insulin. Doc suspects a combo of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Came across something that practically eliminated insulin. Oatmeal - 1/4 cup at breakfast. Tried another with dinner to even smaller effect. Have to keep portion small as I don't want weight gain due to excess carbs. I have a little bit of 'treats' once or twice a week to stay in this food maintenance regimen. I eat two small meals a day.
If you have a balanced vegetarian diet, and keep yourself fit then there should be no problems. Consuming meat is not a magic bullet.

@@Dr_Abs My take on Indians having the highest rates of obesity and diabetes is linked to high Carbs/sugar diet and perhaps the wrong oils in cooking. White rice for example could be eaten in small amounts, avoid food with added sugar and bad oils such as frying in sunflower or vegetable oils. Perhaps cooking differently? too much white salt is another problem with High blood pressure issues? using less salt that is say raw celtic sea salt or original pink Himalayan as examples.

My consultant cardiologist, while reviewing my CT-angiogram results, said my calcium score (as I recall around 400) was on the 62nd percentile….he didn’t know whether that was better than average or worse 😢that’s the sort of expertise you get when paying top private sector fees….by the way, 3 months after this review I had a significant heart attack with 100% LAD blockage and 80% right side artery. Was taking D3+K2 for over a year to boost my system as I don't spend much time outdoors had a heart attack and needed two stents plus a double bypass. This has scared me in taking it now.
There is a supplement called nattokinease (I think I spelled it correct) that the Japanese people, who make up a lot of fishermen and in the sun all day, take daily to keep their arteries running smooth. Having angina and wanting to clear artery blockage, I started D3K7K2. After a fall and a gash to the scalp, the deep and large wound clotted almost instantly, k2 action certainly, but I stopped the supplement because very sluggish circulation and rapid clotting in narrowed arteries is a recipe for stroke and heart attack. I did much better consuming greens which are high in K2. the intake of greens and no animal products resulted in greatly reducing angina within a week and after two weeks, no angina and improved exercise tolerance.
@@karmelicankeD3 7K2 is only supposed to be taken for a certain amount of time., 2/3 months. Unfortunately there’s not much to be had from eating greens nowadays for K2, due to the use of pesticides and GM. Unless you grow your own.

I have taken coral calcium for years in rotation because my blood calcium tends to be low, causing palpitations.
I just had an echo cardiologram and my arteries and heart are healthy. I am 63.
My bloodwork showed my calcium high “normal” and my D3 very low. Now, supplementing daily with D3-K2.
I’m also polycystic and have MTHFR anomalies.
None of what the medical system says makes any sense because we aren’t the same!
Yup, everyone is different. This seems to be lost because it helps pharma companies to treat everyone the same and give them drugs.
Even at 5000 IU of D3, my D level is only 47. I added 60 mcg K2 MK-7 by Procaps and the two blood levels that changed noticeably was cholesterol dropped (lower LDL, higher HDL) and my A1c went from my usual 5.3/5.4 to 5.0 and is still there a year later. I have plaque in my aorta and, of course, improvement isn't something easy to identify. Good video I need to watch again breaking down the actual science.

Vit D defiencent actually.. then now back to normal, I kept taking VitD .. didn't know about K2 at the time... suffered a middle of the night violent home invasion .. the shock gave me a mild heart attack, 5 days in hospital with various test shows one heart artery (left) is 50% blocked, all others are ok, veins 'look beautiful' Engiogram doctor's words. Soo ... bottom line, my humble opinion, not a medical diagnosis, watch out for excesses... take a little , then check, blood test will tell you - also how your body feels will tell you. Now I myself make sure that everytime I take Vit D... I also take K2.. so so important. And surprisingly I have come accross medical doctors who didn't know about K2... one doctor actually said to me "K2.. what's that?" -- her words!!! Adopt the cautious approach. A study showing that the paradoxical effects of taking D3 and K2 at the same time (available on UA-cam) is antithetical to their maximum benefits, as each diminished the absorption of the other. Maximum benefits take place when taken at different times of the day, with food. As both are fat soluble vitamins. Combining both in a single oral supplement is confounding.

Twenty years ago, I deveoped a severe case of hypercalcemia from D2 supplementation. Back then, I had never heard of D2 related excess calcium, in fact, I was taking a normal normal and the doctor told me, "You can't overdose on vitamin D". But I became systemically stiff and arthritic. She said that that is permanent damage and that there was no cure. I was determined and found a treatment on my own, and it took over a year to reverse this issue. I wish I'd known about K2 and magnesium at the time. I has so many stories like this. So aggravating.

I take magnesium citrate before bed to help sleep. I notice when I don't take it for awhile, I start getting leg cramps during the day and when trying to sleep. Some of them are just brutal. Be careful which kind you take, some will make you poop. Think of Milk of Magnesia; don't recall which form of magnesium that is.

You mentioned early in the video that you do not like the Thorne liquid MK-4 product, but never stated why. Please describe. I have used this product, plus Nutricost MK-7, but I think your suggestion of the LEF Super K points to a better combo product and I will switch to it when I run out of the MK-7. Overall, the pricing per dose is very similar.
Another thing that you could have mentioned, but probably omitted for time, is that glutamate residue gamma-carboxylation to GLA by K2, (which yields a malonate moiety chelation site) is also important for activating the calcium binding proteins found in the urine, of which there are over 1200 species, which help to prevent the formation of oxalate kidney stones.

I need some help & so many doctors don't know this information. I can't eat meat ... it's been over 26 yrs of no chicken, beef, turkey, or pork. I eat salmon, fruits, & veggies. My heart aches. I majored I’m chemistry in college. I understood what you said about the metabolic pathways of calcium metabolism in the body. For the layman or even those with some degree of biochemistry knowledge, it would have been helpful to use diagrams of the metabolic pathways involved especially when you described carboxylation and calcium binding.
Timely video, I take both D2 and calcium after discovering at the demist I had soft bones causing dental implant failure. Since then have revered that issues but had been concerned about the D3. This has explained a lot.

I also take vit d3 and k2 from dr berg but experienced intense giddiness after (it was taken with food in the morning ) - any insights on what potential reasons behind this?
Too late for me, my heart was destroyed by pretty much this process. Or maybe there’s hope … I haven’t quite died yet, and still hoping K2 can gradually claw back the heart health.

@@mumshorts My mother has blocked arteries to the lower extremities now at 88yrs old. A sedentary lifestyle, not going out into the sun, not exercising (even a daily 15 minute walk) and taking D3 without its sidekick K2 probably contributed to the problem. Oh, and she has CHF. I think there is a correlation between all the factors mentioned and that calcium and D3 were physician recommended and taken but without K2.
Please keep fighting for your health.
Don’t give up get high doses of natto that’s a k2 on steroids , may help you do your research
Sorry me too I'd been taking D3 5000 to 10000 every day and calcium for 14 or more years..with in the past few years I've had 6 stents and alot of calcium in my arteries and heart. Wish they would have told us about k2 years ago.

I was told once in an ER visit that my high Vit D level was "very concerning" so they ran more tests and then without going into much more detail, they said it was fine. (I'm assuming that was because they saw my calcium level wasn't also off the charts?) Super interesting! Thanks for sharing. 🙏😊
I take 50,000iu a week with K2 and it makes calcium go to bones not arteries etc. It must work. I fall alot outside and inside and havent broke any bones. I had a heart attack in 2014. I had stone in my artery after 3 days of widening the vessel I got 3 stents and a blood thinner. Vitamin D
was low at that time. I dont take calcium.

I have been studying this for years and everyone seems to have their own spin on it.
Q: I notice my calcium went up on liquid D3 and K2 which I took to avoid microcrystalline (aka wood pulp) but I also added collagen powder for hair and nails, taking 1/3 the recommended dose. So not sure which one caused it.
But!!! The brand you recommended uses microcrystalline cellulose as a filler. As do most of the supplements, they use other forms of cellulose as well.🙄
I would think you should do a video on this since you recommend this product.
Companies note that some forms are plant based which include stems, sticks and branches, but most are manufactured from companies which makes products from wood pulp and cotton.
I am not happy about that circulating around in my arteries either. Hence the auto immune disorders, hardening of the arteries, fibromyalgia and Stiff Persons disease… who knows.
We need to stop with these types of fillers.
Don’t tell me it is a safe amount… as accumulation of it has never been studied.
Let alone if you take 3-4 different high dose supplements daily.

Microcrystalline cellulose is not digestible and is too huge of a molecule to pass through the intestinal lumen. It simply acts as additional fiber. You don't accumulate it, it just passes through. Also, it is not _wood pulp_. It is very far removed from the base material (which can be wood pulp). So, what is the problem? If you are allergic to it for some reason there are alternate solutions. Innovix has an all-trans MK-4/MK-7 that is in an oil base gel cap. That might be a workable solution if the thought of swallowing something derived from wood pulp is just not acceptable.

I was taking calcium OTC for bone pain during sleep and I stopped when I heard about calcium side effect. The bone pain had stopped though, but I was still taking the calcium when I heard about risk of heart attack.

My vitamin D levels are at ~150 nmol/L.
That's in the middle of the normal range... but often considered high by many doctors.
Calcium levels are normal.
This is achieved by taking 50,000 IU D3 weekly.
The benefit of higher Vit D levels is a reduced frequency and intensity of colds.
Taking K2 5 mg/day as well.

I've been taking 5000 iu of D3 for the last 6-7 years, in the winter, and 200 mcg of k2. When I take this amount, my D3 levels are around 50-60 ng/ml.
In the summertime, I don't take any supplement, but I expose myself to at least 30 minutes to 2 hours in the sun, almost everyday, and my levels are around 78 ng/ml.
My calcium levels are in the normal range. Only once, it started to get a little to high, because I was taking 3 mg of boron a day. It defenetly raised my vit D levels, but it also raised calcium.
Good to hear you stop supplements in the summer. I get my patients to do the same
interesting out the boron, I started taking 3mg a day for my receding gum on a few teeth. I started dowsing a month ago for what my body needed instead of just popping pills and its very accurate...I dont need what I think I do each day....

Here in Australia we can’t dig into blood tests the way other countries can in greater detail. I’m going for a basic test shortly. I’ve just gone back from a 2 year vegan/vegetarian diet to now eating everything grass fed beef, eggs chicken (organic) fish …not enough greens …everything except pork. How often do I need to eat meat (still not loving it but I’m trying) and roughly how much per portion …do I have to avoid legumes? Is that what you were referring to re plants getting in the way of absortion. I’m 62 slim build have noticed effects of going vegan pretty drastically in my body would love some recommendations please.
I'm in UK, can't afford regular blood tests 😂, found great info on youtubers Dr Ken Berry and Dr Robert Cwbes. I'm 72 and found keto/carnivore diet very good for me, especially using only 2 meals a day. Mainly learned to be patient, go by how you feel, every body is different. Hope you find what works for you ❤ from Scotland.
