@@sean.durham999 Tolkien's source content runs like that. *The First age* via silmarillion is borderline encyclopaedic rather than narrative, outlining a huge series of events/characters. These are built on by extant/edited texts like children of hurin. *The second age* functions as a transition between the first and third - geographically, historically and conceptually. It structures continuities/discontinuities, like the ancestral legacy of aragorn vs the decline of the kingdoms, the existence of gandalf/sauron vs the absence of the gods from middle earth, the creation vs dispersion of rings of power etc. It was also built from extant text collections like Unfinished Tales, so not only is it a transition period in the lore, there was just less lore written about it. *The third age* focuses on localised narrative driven arcs, tied to more 'relatable heroes' - the hobbits. These are the popular complete texts we all know and love. While still complex storytelling and intertextually built up, they form the conceptual resolution of everything that came before them. Even hobbits go to meet the gods in heaven in lotr. There is extant text for this period, but much is maps, songs, linguistics etc... which builds on the world but doesn't really extend the timeline much. If Tolkien's source material had built on more of the blue wizards and eastern kingdoms, the third age would have been a greater proportion of the texts. However, it had relatively few narrative/character connections to the rest, by design, as the old map trope of 'unknown lands'.

I read The Lord of the Rings when I was a teenager in the early 2000. I loved it. Then came the movies, which made me want to study cinema and learn how to shoot and edit, and I did. I grew up with this universe. Then comes your fantastic video, covering the entire story of Middle Earth with visuals : words are lacking, amasing 💯Thank you for this flawless trip.
7:34:58 Oh nice, you didnt just compile your 1st, 2nd and 3rd Age vids, you also included a deeper dive into Eru Illuvatar's interventions and the Dagor Daggorath? Nice work.

Wow, that was awesome, you really put in the hard work to showcase as much detail of the lore with those mythological animations and immersive commentary! I would love to see some Geography of Middle-earth videos. My top pick would be Gondor: going into the various notable peoples (Dol Amroth Princes, Kings, Stewards, Fief lords etc.), regions (provinces, fiefs and other territories), settlements and environmental features. This could include names and places not mentioned in the LOTR, such as Tarnost (meaning High City, for it was located in the northern foothills in the mountains of Belfalas), the river Calenhir, or unmentioned leaders of Gondorians that aided Minas Tirith during its siege. These include Prince Benrodir of Anorien, Lord Northiligand of the Ethir Anduin, and Inram of Lebennin.

I've wanted to know the story of the Silmarillion for so long but it's so complicated and I've always had a a hard time understanding who is who or where things are. These visuals with the maps and character bubbles along with the narration are absolutely incredible. Thank you 🙌
Wow!!! The amount of work put into this is insane, I hope it reaches a lot of people. Not just fans of LOTR but it’s a great sleep aid. Thank you!!! (And I meant sleep aid in a good way, I put it on as I’m falling asleep)
Fingolfin taking on Morgoth in a 1v1 outside of Angband might be the most badass thing from the whole First Age. He and Turin Turambar are my favorites.
Hi, I always watch your middle earth videos but can I just say how in absolute awe I am on this video, narration, animation, story, the studying of the books to put it all together, absolutely insane work, won’t ever reach everyone on UA-cam but it deserves to, nice job

Devin or "Officially Devin", you have been blessed with great talent! And as for Frank... the words spoken would not be possible without the intricate and detailed written pages. Unbelievable talent display. As for animation... Abe is a true master of drawing the viewer in (especially during battles), but also with the enormous amount of lovely vistas and scenes. Lastly, Adam and his accurate maps coalesce the video into a greet feast for the eyes! BRAVO!
Thank you, I’m watching it a half hour at a time. I know the lore but with your video I’m at the part of Beren and Luthien. What I truly like like most about your videos ( I believe you do kings and generals too) is that you state everything factly. Bringing no “good or evil” judgements but the political view, as well as their ideas behind it. The lore from Tolkien doesn’t lose itself in ethics too. It shows us how the kindest hobbits can be corrupted, not by good or evil, but by Power. And how the greatest Elves can redeem themselves by humbleness.
I fell asleep to this last night and had the most amazing dreams. Started back in about an hour deep tonight. I can't sleep now! It's just too good! Great job my friend! Be proud of this!
I am amazed that a group of people have done a video that goes for nearly 8 hours!! But then again Tolkien's Middle Earth, and it's 3 long age are so vast in scope, and there are so many characters and stories within it. I can totally get why it takes 8 hours to cover all of it.
