So basically the Vanyar elves went for a walk in Middle Earth, destroyed the entire subcontinent, got turned-off from mingling with low class elves, then went back in Valinor The war of wrath is basically a soirée

In the Battle of the Powers, there was an effective search for Sauron, but well, it's Sauron. He knew Angband better than anyone, and combined with the rush the Valar were in, they ended up being negligent. This proved to be an act of incompetence indeed, as Sauron rebuilt Angband and began producing Orcs on a large scale. He also managed to concentrate the Sindar in two poles, while the others had to hide to avoid being massacred. In fact, the Sindar were not defeated only because the Noldor arrived, since if we consider that the Orcs of Battle-under-Stars were originally destined for the Sindar, that is, the army of the First Battle was just a wave of a larger army. The Falathrim and Círdan would probably be dead and Doriath would be surrounded and isolated, this was all planned by Sauron for when the Lord returned, ironically they lacked communication, as Morgoth ruined this plan due to his actions in Valinor.

“There I wandered, naming new flowers, or lay adream amid the singing of the birds, and the humming of bees and flies; and there I might still dwell in delight, forsaking all my kin, whether the ships of the Teleri or the swords of the Noldor” The narrative paints the highest beauty of all the Noldor, from the 7 gates of Gondolin power and majesty of Ecthelion! I was instantly hooked ❤
The Silmarillion, if handled correctly, would be an amazing series. Too bad it’s adaptation today would bastardize all the hard work Tolkien put into it. I accept this series of videos as a worthy substitute.
With the complete of quality of writing in Hollywood today, I wouldn’t trust these crayon writing losers to adapt a Sesame Street episode let alone something as complex and epic as Tolkien’s mythology. Just look at the crap Amazon has paid hundred of millions of dollars for their RoP.
I don't know I think it would be genuinely hard to adapt no matter what due to its repetitious and very slow pace And unlike Lord of the Rings where From beginning to end the goal is clear and the story is moving towards that goal here the ending just kind of comes out of nowhere that the original continent in the gods finally decide to shrug and say all right fine we'll finally do something and the very land that they fought over gets destroyed And most of the characters and their struggles are ultimately relatively insignificant
After the breaking of Angband, and being imprisoned by the Valar, Morgorth was subjected to regular vicious punative tickle-fests by Varda and Nienor. Listening to the dark one's uncontrolled giggles and furious demands to be freed were a guilty pleasure among the powers of Arda, especially Mandos (who was seen wearing an ear to ear grin) j/k 😉

Oh my God, I missed this at 8 in the morning while at work and I'm subbed to the channel.
This has got to be the best adaptation of the tales of the 1st age of middle earth.
god, I love your content. Another 2 hours of pure LOTR historygasm
Why no distinct video for the finale?
They usually rap up the final chapter in the compilation videos, possibly because the regular videos were having low viewing numbers.
This is just my speculation.
Outstanding videos!
An interesting note that the elves of the first age seemed more human-like with good and bad sides.
This channel is an indespensible part of my entertainment needs.
That was awesome, it is really nice to see an overview map showing all of the different stories weaving together and how the various characters affect each other.
So basically the Vanyar elves went for a walk in Middle Earth, destroyed the entire subcontinent, got turned-off from mingling with low class elves, then went back in Valinor
The war of wrath is basically a soirée
Not just the Vanyar, but also the Noldor that stayed in Valinor, surviving Edain, the Great Eagles and some Maiar and Valar. Headed by Manwë's herald Eönwë.
It is,they just went on a long hike. Killing as they went. There were at least 200,000 Vanyar alone, the strongest of Elves.

If Helldivers 2 can be modded, the War of Wrath would be perfect. Imagine a squad of Vanyar elves being carried by an eagle to drop down a section of Beleriand and liberate the area from orcs, trolls, wolves, bats, and dragons
@@Byenie0912 I would so play that, been wanting a epic open world middle earth game based in the 1st and 2nd ages.
This is flipping amazing. ALL the blessings on you, your marriage, and your family!
Morgoth had battled the noldor and the whole elven kin longer than he had battled the edain yet the ones who came under the most cruel of his works was the line of hurin a line who loved the elves as much as they loved their kin. If Tolkien had finished his Dagor dagorath it wouldve been cannon that turin would be the one to finish morgoth once and for all 😢.
I really do wish the Dagor Dagorath had been written in full. Seeing that epic bad-assery would be beyond awesome.
Did you release this video all at once? Or was it a compilation of existing videos? I don't remember this series.
This is a compilation of their videos on the Children of Hurin and Fall of Gondolin while also containing their look at the War of Wrath and the end of the First Age.
awesome work as ever guys
I’ve never seen a video of yours that wasn’t based in the elder scrolls. This is just as great as all your others.
Imagine a war so massive and destructive that it tears apart half a continent
Excellent work on this video, great summary of the End of the First Age and beginning of a new 😎👍
lol, Turin keeps being like Ill put aside by my big name and then rename himself “death master,” then “master of doom,” and then “death stain” and then “blood helm.”
I respect that you guys used the Silmarillion version of Gil-Galad's parentage, but Christopher Tolkien said that it's an editorial error, and Ereinion Gil-Galad is Orodreth's son.
Valar: I guess there is no more things to worry about. I mean who could even replace Melkor as the chief troublemaker ?
Sauron: Allow me to introduce myself
Keep it in mind that the Valar never bothered looking for neither Sauron nor the Balrogs *twice* . And this ended up bringing ruin to Middle-Earth both times.
@@lisboah And dont forget Smaug.
@@cgt3704 And the other dragons, and the orcs, trolls, and other creatures.
For real, the Valar may be good, but they are so lazy and naive that it vexes me.
@@lisboahexcept Manwe allow to use the eagles helping the free peoples and maybe he only use his power the wind to vanquish the evil characters death. Ulmo is the only one holding the the sea to provide middle earth agriculture and environments for free peoples, and Mandos is probably doing like hades work.
Thank you for this video WaW, I absolutely love snuggling up and listening to these stories. Also a huge shoutout for the Palestine-Israel conflict on KaG page. Keep up the good work!!
Best video I've watched in a long while!!!
Best commercial intro I have ever seen. 10/10. Also video is based.
your middle earth documentaries are dope af man
“There I wandered, naming new flowers, or lay adream amid the singing of the birds, and the humming of bees and flies; and there I might still dwell in delight, forsaking all my kin, whether the ships of the Teleri or the swords of the Noldor” The narrative paints the highest beauty of all the Noldor, from the 7 gates of Gondolin power and majesty of Ecthelion! I was instantly hooked ❤
Its so glorious. Silmarillion the best of the best.
I don't know I think it would be genuinely hard to adapt no matter what due to its repetitious and very slow pace
And unlike Lord of the Rings where From beginning to end the goal is clear and the story is moving towards that goal
here the ending just kind of comes out of nowhere that the original continent in the gods finally decide to shrug and say all right fine we'll finally do something and the very land that they fought over gets destroyed
And most of the characters and their struggles are ultimately relatively insignificant
Fantastic 😊
Thank you for the time and effort to make this.
Amazing content as always
Amazing work from you guys!
35:00 take my advice, what could go wrong....
40:00 Morwen, what if she had stayed put to begin with?
Amazing work brother thank you.
Amazing video series about the lore. Thank you!
1:46:06 that convention is why starcrafts protoss say "En taro Adun/Tassadar" cool little space elf crossover
Been waiting for this
After the breaking of Angband, and being imprisoned by the Valar, Morgorth was subjected to regular vicious punative tickle-fests by Varda and Nienor. Listening to the dark one's uncontrolled giggles and furious demands to be freed were a guilty pleasure among the powers of Arda, especially Mandos (who was seen wearing an ear to ear grin)
j/k 😉
The children of Hurin brings me to tears every time
Even more manly tears when you learn that Tolkien intended that Túrin would be the one to finally kill Morgoth at the final battle end of the world.
I really enjoyed watching this series. Can't wait for the Second Age!
Amazing work!
Great series!
1:26:22. Narsil!!!!!😮
May I ask what music is used in your battle videos, it makes them come to light
Anyone correct me if i'm wrong but if hurin is huor's brother and tuor is huor's son..then that must make hurin tuor's uncle? 1:20:52
Yup, Tuor and Turin are cousins.
@@reneedailey1696 The narrator confused me for a moment when he mentioned tuor‘s cousin to be hurin on the timestamp i posted..just felt like pointing that out x)
@@jasonnebula1707 Narrator just misspoke, all these names are pretty similar and confusing.
Great video! My only critic is a wish for more visual representation of the timeline.
are you gonna release the last chapter of this as a stand alone episode? or at least put chapters in this one please
Any gift from Morgoth comes with a TOS.
tolkien sure did like the tragedies. i also got to say that despite the elves supposedly being supreme beings they seem to cause most of the conflict and strife in all these stories.
Best video so far ❤
Earendil is truely the MVP, and my favourite character in all the Silmarillion
