Thank you for watching the video, It means a lot to me .
I will leave this pinned message here to REMIND everyone that i do not have TELEGRAM and there is no GIVEAWAY. Those you see are bot scams . Keep yourself safe and know that I would not ask for your info. ❤ ❤
Danny's right arm beat out his left arm for drummer of the year, whilst the left foot came in third with the right foot tying for second. He can literally lay his hand down and tap each finger to completely different rhythms all simultaneously, he's a beast
That's hilarious but spot on. Who have we seen like this since John Bonham?
This needs to be copied on every tool video on YT lol
That’s the funniest comment I have read all year. An early Christmas present. Thanks.
@@gosborg Agreed. I laughed so hard my ribs got sore. Tears of joy rolling down my face.
Right up there with the devil and drum lessons tbh
IMO, Danny Carey of Tool, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Keith Moon of The Who, and Neil Peart of Rush are the Mount Rushmore of Rock drummers.
This is absolutely right.
Although I would add Joey Jordinson of Slipknot, The Rev of A7F, Alex VanHalen, and Sticky Wickett here on UA-cam for more exquisite drumming.
And Joey Jordison (RIP)
100% agree!!!
@@MikeGraceJediDad @dirkdigital Totally agree with your 2 lists. I will just add Mike Portnoy former drummer of Dream Theater
I wasn't into the Who when I was growing up, but the older I get, the more I like them. What blows my mind about Keith Moon is that he never played a high hat symbol which just does not make any sense. You're right one about the other 3, but there so many drummers that I like more than Keith Moon, but that is purel subjective to each listener. I loved Terry Bozzio & Joey Jordison a lot.
young lady, the pure, unbridled, joy that you get while watching this, make me a very happy person. so well done.
There is a case to be made that Danny Carey is infact, the most technically proficient single percussionist alive today. This song in particular is a masterclass clinic in drumming. It has every cool lick and riff and chop that drummers think about when they daydream. The sickest part is that I have seen children do playthroughs of this and come very close on a stripped down kit. That takes a scary amount of skill, dedication, physical ability and mental awareness. If Neal Peart was the Professor at drumming in popular music, the torch was passed to Danny when he passed for sure.
Indeed. In fact he gave Neil Peart his due credit when accepting the Grammy for 7empest. The professor was and is a legend i saw him twice and I have seen tool countless times. It is amazing
I love Danny, and am a drummer myself for around 30 years, but someone like Darnell Lewis would destroy him if he played in the same genre/band.
@@xterminatr666
destroy him lol you should continue playing drum in your bedroom with your Rambo movie poster .....
The same case can be made for a lot of drummers.
I would be fine with this assertion if we said rock percussionist. There are several jazz players that could hold their own with Danny. And I say that as a thirty year, bought Opiate EP the week it was released, Tool fan.
Neil Peart from Rush is one of Dannys favorite drummers. Rush is a must rabbit hole band!
Best band ever! There are lots of great other drummers, but Danny Carey is from another world.
SIR YOUR 1 MILLION % CORRECT!!!!
Danny is a genius.
"I only have two eyes!" LOL
Otherworldly drumming talent
Everyone needs to see Tool live, it's not a concert..... it's an experience, one you'll NEVER forget.
Maybe I’ll get a chance in the future ❤️
I suggest one sober…then a 100 more on hallucinogens
@@BisscuteReacts Danny wrote the drum notes for this song. None of it is improvised, it is exactly how he wrote it.
100% agree
just went last night in Milwaukee, and you and kidding. Was saying that exact thing about 20 min in
"...he was an Octopus!😆😂😂😂 very funny! you're great Bisscute! i love it!😎👍
You asked about the king of drummers, Neil peart was the best living drummer and was friends with Danny, now it seems to be an unspoken thing that since Neil died, Danny is it.
RIP Neil Peart
As a drummer who has been playing since 1980, I am STILL blown away by drummers like Danny Carey, Gavin Harrison, Neil Peart (RIP)
snap...i've been a drummer since 1980 & have had the pleasure of seeing Neil Peart live twice in 81/82 Moving Pictures tour however I only found Tool & Danny Carey recently & he is right up there with all the top drummers in my opinion,I was also blessed to see Buddy Rich & got to meet him, amzing drummer also, have a great day
Glad to see Gavin get some love... highly under rated drummer IMO.
I have to thank you, my guy, for sending me down a Gavin Harrison rabbit hole. I had never heard of him until now, and after listening to a few of his songs (thanks to your recommendation), the Pirate may be sailing into his Bay as we speak.
@@osullibr I wish you good sailing, he is phenomenal, and very down to earth. He's worked with King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief. and his clinics are always great.
@@Keith_KC8TCQ just looked him up and apparently a lot of drummers I love were either influenced by or gave praise to him. Definitely checking him out.
"I only have two eyes!" might be the most on-point reaction to someone watching Danny Carrey play drums that I've ever heard.
Danny rattles one's bones. You can feel it so intensely. I love how much the music takes you in. Open heart, open mind. The body follows. Thank you Bisscute. 🙏🏻🥰💖💖
Watch the Neil Peart Rhythm Method drum solo live from Frankfurt.
Carey and Peart had a lot of mutual respect. Peart helped Carey out when he was first coming up by giving him good advice and even some equipment.
And after Peart's passing Carey played with Rush during the most recent Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in L.A. check that out too!
You have to realize that Danny has been playing for nearly half a century. That's why he can make it look so effortless. Plus to play drums, you can't be stiff. Your core should be the only thing that is tight.
To truly say who is the best in this arena is purely subjective. But if you want some more incredible drummers to check out: Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Gavin Harrison, Bill Bruford, and Terry Bozzio just to name a few.
Danny, Neil, and John Bonham from Led Zep are the legends. Check out Bonham’s live drum solo during the song “Moby Dick”.
Ian Paice of Deep Purple is better as a drummer. Check his solo from The Mule, 1972 live in Denmark. Can drummer of LZ play it? No way!
Daney creates the strange tribal like sound with an electronic drum pad.
He uses up to seven of these.
You should watch a picture of his drum kit.
This is a prime example of a person being as one with their craft and instrument of expression 👏 ❤️💯🔥
In my opinion Danny is the best drummer ever, I'm definitely biased because he's also my favorite drummer. He is my biggest inspiration as a drummer because he does it different than any other drummer. The rest of the band can drop back and he can carry the rhythm but also the tone of the song. Amazing artist, like the rest of the guys in Tool. It's funny that you mention an octopus because that's the nickname the fans gave him. Also, good name because watching you react to this epic music is very cute.
I have a few friends that are drummer’s and they literally say that Danny Carey is not human… his drum composition is top notch with nothing out of place in the songs. His drums always sound great and his use of so many sounds and small cymbals help create so much feeling and atmosphere to the songs, he really is incredible.
Right? amazing ❤
Whilst is technique and drumming is impressive, I find the most impressive part is that he can lay down extremely complicated patterns and beats without over powering the song. It can be very easy for a drummer to overcomplicate his part and ruin a song, he has very complicated drumming that works synergistically with the other instruments. It is exceptionally hard to do
@Adam White Yeah, nobody else can make such mind bogglingly complex parts sound musical and enjoyable to listen to. There's progressive, and then there's Danny Carey. He's not playing complicated stuff for the sake of it, he's doing it because he's got such a huge arsenal of techniques to convey the emotion and atmosphere of the song.
Danny is not only the GOAT, but there is not a close runner-up. He is on a completely different level than everyone else.
I'd recommend Gavin Harrison playing "Anethesize" (may have spelled that wrong) with the band Porcupine Tree or on his own at drum clinics. Another great talent on the drums.
Danny Carey is, hands down, the best drummer on the planet.
I'm having a hard time watching her reaction when Danny Carey is putting on such an amazing performance!
Love your reaction! Amazing!
Neil Pert from Rush drum solo will definitely blow your mind!
Dannys drumming is positivity hypnotic and dazzleling😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is brilliance shining: musical GENIUS. Once you try TOOL, you can never go back😳😅🙏👍
Fuck yeah! One of the most amazing drummers on earth
Love seeing young ones loving an underrated band:)))
A big thing people get wrong about musician skill levels is, there are a lot of drummers capable of playing what Danny does. Technical skill is only one part of it though, because most people if given the opportunity to learn and practice they'd be able to replicate it pretty well eventually. What separates the best musicians isn't necessarily technical proficiency, it's their ability to use their technical proficiency to create amazing music.
This is what real drumming is: it's not just showing off (many great drummers can do this), it's making music WITH the drums. Only a few wonderful drummers can achieve it. Danny Carey is, undoubtedly, one of them. I loved your reaction, it is so honest, sincerely amazed by the musicianship in this track, I got engaged. Glad you enjoyed this. It gave me hope on new generations.
Danny is the master of poly rhythms. His interpretation of time signatures is unbelievable. So many drummers are amazing within their genres to mention all of them. Being a drummer myself and inspired by so many, it’s difficult to name the ‘best’. Danny(Tool), Benante(Anthrax), Peart(Rush), Kinny(Alice In Chains), Paul(Pantera) just to name a few.
Continued enjoyment in your journey of discovering new music!! I think you would appreciate PENDULUM (Official Video) by the metal band AFTER THE BURIAL. Great head banging rhythms. Merry Christmas!
That is exactly right about Danny. In terms of metal (if Tool is metal?), he and Tomas Haake have an understanding of time signatures that never ceases to impress. For Carey, I feel like his love of jazz and his infatuation with tribal drums really aids in this...
Please react to Neil Peart of Rush play his solo live from Frankfurt for a great contrast of style - I guarantee your mind will be equally blown. Many consider him to be the greatest of all time, but by nearly all accounts, he is certainly top 3. Him and Danny were good friends, and there is even a video of them jamming together in one of their basements along with a few other world class drummers.
"A Little More Noise" is the UA-cam video title. Such a fun piece at Stewart Copeland's (drummer for The Police) basement jam room, The Sacred Grove. When you're a very successful, accomplished and well regarded drummer in your own right (Copeland) and invite some friends over to jam and decide you'll play guitar instead because you have both Danny Carey and Neil Peart on drums. :)
There are so many great drummers out there, it's hard to say... But Danny is a specimen for sure, insane technique and sense of rhythm... And yes the disks are called cymbals 😊
Neil Peart from Rush has a great solo (RIP).
Godsmack - Batalla de los Tambores is a great drum battle between Shannon Larkin (drummer) and Sully Erna (singer/drums, guitar, piano).
Great reaction. 🤘
Those are great suggestions
It really blows my mind how drummers are able to play a different rhythm with each limb lol. Feet doing one beat, one hand doing another...you have to be basically a damn good multi tasker lol. Nice reactions, been trying to get a couple in a day while board at work. No phoniness detected
This is what passion looks like. He loves what he does. and it shows
There's alot of great drummers out there , Danny Carey is one of thee best there is.
I like how tool gave her the chills, I was like hell yeah she feeling it..
My dad was a drummer in bands for 30yrs, I've been in bands and drumming for 25 yrs. Seen many concerts and drumming through the years, and this is the more impressive performance I've ever seen.
Edit: you seem nice...and yescute
aayee mi man is smooth
I believe Danny is the best technical rock drummer alive!
I like it that you do just enough research to fully appreciate the talent level of the artists.
I don't think anyone really can currently compete with Danny. His technique and timing is wild.
This is my favorite TOOL reaction. You are too cute 😂
His coordination is practically supernatural in origin woe😮😮😮😮😮😮
Danny is known as the octopus! My favorite drummer of all time.
haha he is amazing ❤
Love your reaction! Tool is my kind of music. Danny Carey is a drumming genius. Daney Carey is known for his polyrhythmic mathematical approach to music. His grooves are distinct and creative He builds the parts for the music. Danny Carey is an incredible writer too! By the way love the caution tape your wearing! 😂
This drummer is a very precise talent, that’s why he’s so calm. Now if you want to see a drummer put his whole body into his drumming, check out John Bonham Moby Dick at Royal Albert Hall. Simply amazing from start to finish.
He is an octopus wizard. With all of the polyrhythms that Tool plays with, he is memorizing to watch. I wish they had a cam on him for every sone. Especially 7empest and Jambi.
Something I never understood about this footage. There's a place in the original you can pause and see the setlist on his cabinet. 46&2 (among other greats) were played in this show; this is really the only song they filmed?
@@richskater disappointing. I would love to see him play in pretty much every song. As long as I don't have a seizure trying to figure out how the hell he is doing it. LOL
Think i suggested this last week....... probably one of the many lol bring on the octopus
Correct, I told her to react to this too
@@Leozinhusl yeah, I'm figuring there was a ton, the moment she said she enjoyed Lars drums.
There is no one that can compete with Danny, technical mastermind right here..
when she starts wearing glasses i suddenly remember “i got school” girl..great reaction btw.
BEST REACTION IVE YET SEEN FOR THIS VIDEO.. 👏
MANY PEOPLE CALL DANNY … THE OCTOPUS, OR… THE BEAST
JAMBI … N 10,000 DAYS ARE A COUPLE OF GREAT SONGS TO CHECK OUT… ROCK ON BEAUTIFUL 👊🖖
....'I only have 2 eyeees!!' I love watching people react to this drum cam and yours is the absolute best. so fun to watch you enjoy it. 😊
Danny's Polly Rhythms are second to none
"I only have two eyes!!" That about sums it up.
Vielen Dank. Sie kommen sehr sehr sympathisch rüber.
“I think he’s the best”
Survey sayssssss #1 answer you got it
Danny is part of that skill level that it doesn't matter who is better than the other. They are all super good and luckily there are many of them. Tomas Haake from Meshuggah is one of them, he has many drum cam videos on UA-cam. In the same genre as Tool is one of my favourite bands Dream Theater and either one of their drummers, Mike Portnoy, founder member and played for the first 25 years or so, and then Mike Mangini, whos been with them for a decade, are both phenomenal drummer. Mangini's signature thing is he can play almost everything right or left handed and his drum kit is mirrored on both sides. Some other really really good drummers are Gavin Harrison from Porcupine Tree, Tony Royster Jr, John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Keith Moon from the Who, just to name a few of my favourites.
Oh I forgot Tomas! Holy heck yes!
@@MikeGraceJediDad She said in the live chat that she is going to react to MEshuggah so no worries for us.
I don't understand how he comes up with these amazingly complex patterns and remembers them.
I've watched this drum cam probably 50 times with 50 different reactions and this is by far the most fun. I love your energy. If you listen closely at 2:15 you'll hear him play the beat on the "tabla" pad, he'll do it again on the high hat (cymbals) and then later in the song at10:55 he'll play the same beat with his left hand on the pad to his left . Brilliant player.
Thank you so much, happy you are having fun here ❤️
You can't, and shouldn't, "compete" against other musicians.
You can only do what YOU do, develop YOUR style & talent.
Be inspired, not discouraged.
Saw Tool 3 times in concert live (and I'd go a dozen more!!) Danny looks so calm, cool and collected while drumming live. He's AMAZING. Effortless for the ALL TIME GREATS
Always with the basketball jersey for the team of the area he's playing. What a dude.
He's the King of percussion❤👑
coming from a drummer here mind u. every drummer pays homage to buddy rich. that guy will blow ur mind and the best part its big band style music aka classic jazz
“I only have two eyes!!!” Classic!!! Nice genuine reaction
Haha, thank you ❤️
Grate Reaction on Pneuma. I just pick up Tool Opiate 2 on Blu-ray Yesterday.
\DANNY CARRY/!!!! BEST DRUMMER PERIOD ON THE PLANET!! INCREDIBLE PLAYING LIVE!! he plays 6 beats different rhythms all at the same time...he has 3 brains!! Lol..he seriously puts "jazz..rock. metal drummers all to shame "!! ..ive never felt so humanaltited in my life watching this guy play live!! Alot of people could not or probably never compete with this dude...he's not HUMAN!! HES FROM ANOTHER BRILLIANT PLANET!!
He is amazing ❤
@@BisscuteReacts your awesome to Bisscute! I love your "Sepultura-Roots reaction video "..your faces you make are so kool and funny! Kool..lol...max caverlera has some Red fiery Hair there!😎🤟🤘
Its funny I heard Pneuma many times before and liked it but never thought much of it.
But after watching this drum cam of it, I have a new respect for it and it has become one of my top 10 tool songs
if you are a fan of great drummers then your next visit should be Rush and the late great Neil Peart on drums who Danny Carey says is one of his great influences.
This girl is lovely. Cheers to that (and Danny’s ridiculous playing).
Great reaction to Tool.👍Danny nickname is The octopuss yes.Tool is a Master to cyncapasion and time signature. 😄
Yeah Danny’s a beast!
Fun fact about Danny. He always wears a basketball jersey on stage, and it's always the jersey of the team from the area he's playing. The man must have an insane collection of jerseys.
He makes it look so effortless
Giants still exist! One of my all time favorite UA-cam videos 🔥
In my childhood I was blessed with Neal Peart. In my adulthood I was blessed with Danny Carey. What a wonderful life!
Amazing ❤
My favorite comment on Danny so far: „Legend has it, that Danny had a deal with the Devil. Nobody knows, what Danny got, but the Devil got drumming lessons.“ That being said: While I am very much astonished by the Badassery of Danny, I don’t know If anyone competes with Danny, because every drummer has their own style.
great video and literally top drummers of all time. amazing song and tool is a amazing band haha
"I can't keep up, I only have two eyes!" Haha, classic response!
haha ❤
Tool is a very beautiful band
great reaction...my first from you!.. i agree with you..danny is the best drummer of the modern era, noone else comes close
The best drummer in the fucking world. I'm a huge tool fan and played the drums a long time. Still dumbfounded when I watch this. Bad fucking ass. Nice reaction 👌
Another amazing drummer that will blow your mind is Marco Minnemann. Recently he’s been releasing some of his own music, Sailboats is a great show of his immense talent!
Mind blowing 🤯... great reaction
This just might be your best reaction yet Bisscute💥...you were super into it and it showed✌💙
I simply LOVE your reaction!!!😁😁😁
Danny Carey is so good ...i watch this performance occasionally because it was the very first time Tool played "Pneuma" live, and they are one of my all-time favorite bands as they're masters of their craft. Danny is the greatest living drummer and IMO at least in the top5 of all-time. They are inspiring.
I’m so glad you got to Witness the Octopus in his Natural Habitat 👊🔥🔥
Great!!! You should react to mike mangini, the alien from dream theater❤️
Lol, omg... This is the best reaction. The way you felt it as he ramped things up. You are fun to watch doing a Tool reaction! :)
This reaction was SO fun to watch! It reminded me so much of my own reaction when I first saw this drum cam footage! I was full of awe and smiles! I've been a Tool fan for decades now and, well, blah blah I've said enough 😂 awesome video! Thank you for posting it! Keep it up 😊
Glad you had fun with this. thanks for watching ❤️
this is the all time best reaction ever!!! I just LOVE YOU!!! LOL
That was such a great reaction!
This is one of the best songs by tool. Thanks for this reaction ❤️
i really do love how animated u get haha. best reactions ever ha
My dear
Other drummer who can play with this level of quality is Mike Portnoy, former drummer of Dream Theater...
I recommend you to listen "Mike Portnoy - Panic Attack"
I'm SO happy you reacted to Pneuma! Incredible song, possibly their best imo.
