Tried to do my best to credit everyone involved and tell the story as objectively as possible! New video will be out sooner rather than later, thanks for all of the ❤️
It was a great community event, and one that i will remember for a long time... but i am also kind of sad, because I didn't hear about it until that Friday, and wasn't able to get a friend in to help me out in the Corridors until Saturday, and it wasn't until Saturday evening that we were able to finish running the corridors for the lore and emblem, so it wasn't until Sunday morning that we finally went back and starting taking pictures every hour. By then even though we were sending in picture for 3 to 4 hours, you guys were only looking for bounties. After some point, we decided that we had done our part and went off to do other stuff. We could of done more. If I heard about it earlier, i could have found 'someone' that i know to help me get through the corridors of time. Then i would have tried to schedule the weekend with even more friends to go in there to get pictures. The process of sending pictures was a bit tedious, so i don't know how many we would have done each day, but at least we would send in a few a day. Furthermore, I didn't have the chance to make any new social connections to this event, due to the fact that i t was already kind of late in the process. I did however, meet a whole ton of streamers which i was watching all sunday and followed each one of them, so i guess that's a good thing. I just feel like I missed out on so much.
This has already been said, but if they hadn’t put bastion on the road map, everyone would’ve been fine with it. Tip for next time Bungie, don’t tease us with a sword
Yeah 100% this, Bastion is a cool unique weapon that no one would be mad to get as a surprise. I get Bungie wants to show off all the content in the season, so they put Bastion on the roadmap for 'transparency,' but surely they could just put 'Corridors of TIme Quest' or even 'mystery exotic quest' if they have to. It just seems like such a preventable situation.
@@spookywolf1799 Especially when they tease the whole community with a sword, we were expecting to get Bastion on the 28th and that huge puzzle where our grave was located with a sword left us expecting that the reward would be an exotic sword
It wasn't just the roadmap. That was a big part of it. But they made one of the biggest story mistakes and gave us a Chekhov's gun in act 1, then didn't fire it in act 2. Showing us the sword on our grave gave us the idea that maybe we'd be getting a sword from all of this. The dialogue alluded to a "favorite weapon" we used to have, broken during some fight. It could have been a completely new exotic, but if they wanted to use that Chekhov's gun appropriately they needed to either A) give us a sword (either an older or completely new one) or give us some hope that a sword might come later. There's still the feint hope that maybe they'll still give us a secret exotic sword or some secret exotic in general. But without something alluding to that possibility, we're left with a bad taste in our mouth. Cool idea, giving us the opportunity to get an exotic sooner than the roadmap said, but it was a bad execution. Either we needed a sword, or that sword should not have been on that grave. Or we should have been alluded to possibly a sword in the future. Or but the bastion on that grave. Also, more "busy work" of the same go kill X shit quests to finally obtain the bastion just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They really need to come up with more fun quests than "Kill X things".
Honestly, I’m not mad about getting Bastion. We jumped through time to get it early. However, the lore and “our favorite weapon” really lead us all to believe something else was coming. That being said, I personally think it would have been cool if we didn’t get Perfect Paradox earlier this season, but got an exotic version of it from the quest. Think about this: We got the original Perfect Paradox from Saint’s grave in Curse of Osiris. We then went through time to give it back to Saint, what if he put it on our grave as a memento for when we saved him? A truly perfect paradox...
For it to be exotic. It would need an exotic perk. Perhaps an exotic combo version of vorpal and a version of osmosis that matches your subclass without using grenades
I hope people see this and realise how big this is. This is not about just a game and a puzzle. This is the beauty of what people can do together without anything stopping them from achieving a collective goal.
It’s awesome how they made this for people to come together and figure it out... But... It all doesn’t really matter cause there is a reason we do it in the first place. To have it all lead to one of the most disappointing exotics to me as a reward so I’m a bit miffed about it.
I don't feel like Bungie understands how to handle Hype and Speculation. That puzzle was so massive it built up so much Hype in the community and the tomb had us Speculating what could possibly be inside it. Something incredible had to be locked behind something so complicated, there's a sword on the tomb, is it a sword? Etc. Saint-14 even says "I marked his/her tomb with one of his/her favorite weapons." and that seemingly validated our speculation in the final moments, only to have that Hype Train smash into a fucking brick wall of confusion and disappointment.
It's because they didn't expect the community to finish it so quickly and were going to have a heavy exotic. However, instead of finishing the work on it, threw out a bs story about it being bastion the whole time. If it were, the date on the chart would have been when the quest dropped, not the 28th, or, they would have given it to everyone on the 28th, if no one solved the puzzle, making the puzzle pointless. Bungie has failed hard since their move from activision and they no longer have viable content, and it's getting disgustingly tedious to play this game.
I was so happy to just lurk in the streams watching this done - I wasn't in a position to help out until it was already basically finished - but it was such an exciting thing. I would've preferred a unique reward to the puzzle - something in the store, the return of a lost exotic that's off the roadmap or similar. I plan on doing my run on picking up the stuff from the corridors tonight, including the full run just so I can say 'I was there'.
@@rightupmyalley617 the reward for solving the puzzle was early access to the quest to get it. on the 21st the quest was going to go active for everyone, that was confirmed by bungie themselves.
Bastion should have been a more "normal" exotic quest like Leviathian's Breath, and Corridors of Time should have rewarded a total secret weapon like Whisper
@Aidan Hall that would be neat, but that was really nobodys favorite weapon and it would kinda suck. i think it should have been a returning d1 favorite but with different or modified perks than what it had on d1
Something that shouldn’t be forgotten is that many of Osiris’s projections went mad after going through the corridors of time. My perspective) just like how saving saint-14 made him show up for non owners, bungie wanted to let the community of players who worked hard to achieve this task spare the players who didn’t from madness because they are the strong willed who don’t succumb to such problems. So by making it so that you don’t have to do the corridors of time to get the weapon quest you guys essentially saved us from a terrible fate such as that. So thank you to the people who worked on this.
I just watched this today, 10/29/21 , a year after upload and I must say… to watch how the community came together as a unit, the amount of different thought process’ and collective minds coming together to solve a great puzzle , as a watchers poin of view, is absolute amazing… and that one statement “staying up for a whole week, my choice not bungies” is 100% true,. But this was awesome to watch and I wish I was playin at the time this happened. I love all these kinds of things about destiny that really make someone question the whole destiny experience
I thought they went extinct back when the "twitch" were introduced to it's habitat by tourists? And then the streams all became flooded by Gladd, but with all the variation they adapted. Right?
Always love these massive puzzles while not being heavily involved, it's great seeing people come together and solved things to this insane scale. The biggest let down though is the reward, apparently deemed to be our "favourite weapon" which in turn may never even be liked by some people due to it's arrival. I agree that due to the way seasons are approached, available content needs to be clear to potential buyers (a possible flaw in the system) but that kinda ruins the mystery and status of what we get. Whisper of the worm in Y1 was incredible since we had no idea, except for a datamined catalyst, paired with an insane mission out of nowhere. Teasing the sword is a bit confusing too.
I believe Bungie would have faced WAY less backlash if they didn't promote Bastion in season 9 or if CoT was released in line with the Bastion road map. Also, nothing about Bastion celebrates community spirit. Missed chance.
I was wondering how long it was going to take you to build a video for this puzzle. I can’t wait for the next community event for you to summarize with a video! I love these! 👍
I have no problem with bastion or the emblem it’s just that I wished there was more to do or a greater reward along side bastion/emblem. It was underwhelming but it did bring the destiny community together so I do give it props for that but I’m also upset that everyone is now able to just go to saint to get it. I wish they would do more events like this but make better rewards
Sadly bungie had to deliver the promised loot like bastion or some people will complain that it wasn't shown in the road map and might have a legal problem because of it. If they make such events it would have to be public for everything even to non season pass owners.
The only reason I dislike the Bastion is because I got far to hyped when saint says he placed one of our favourite weapons on our grave, I was expecting Gjallarhorn, Ice Breaker or even Mythoclast but we got Bastion.
The stupid amount of time and resources that were invested... just made the reward look very disappointing. Congrats for the people who actually solved the puzzle, they at least have that satisfaction, but the reward... yikes
this vid was phenomenal. i was there for the whole thing and your really captured all the twists and turns and nuances that made this one of- if not the best- community events and puzzles we have seen in the Destiny franchise. good stuff!
I still come back to this video from time to time to look back on in my opinion what was the best time in destiny. It was golden age for me and I think seasonal content being like this again would be amazing. Dawn was when I loved destiny most.so fun. So great. This event was so awesome abs evan was naut starting and I still think we don't deserve him. I still can't beelive he's still holding this strong making s tier content every video years later
I love coming back to this video now. That sword in the grave is Ergo Sum that we have in The Final Shape now. Though, I don’t know if people would call it their favorite lol
This is why I love this game and this community as a whole! I’m very passionate about the game and community even thou I’m just another cog in the wheel and not a content creator. But I care just as much! Great video man!
I sometimes go through your videos to remind myself of...everything we've been through. I forgot about this entire thing we did together. I contributed. I did my runs. I'm glad to have done it with everyone. Eyes up, Guardians
Looking back on this from 4 years in the future, now that we have that sword that is in the grave, man does it make sense why it is called our favorite weapon...
The disappointment at the end is as legendary as the puzzle. Bungie made the excuse on a twitter saying that had to put Bastion on the roadmap to be transparent with what people would get with the season pass or they would have to make bastion free to everyone (more or less something along this lines) BUT bungie could also have slapped "secret quest" under Bastion on the said roadmap spot, classified the data to avoid data miners and the biggest problem with the result of this puzzle would have been avoided, no misunderstanding the puzzle being for something else, simple. But nah! lets keep the mystery, "we don't want to spoil the surprise".... even if the final reward has already been spoiled by bungie themselves on day one. The puzzle was awesome yes, but this was intentionally misleading expectations (the hole mystery thing for a spoiled item) to bloat none existing content and increase interest in what otherwise would not have been as interesting because of us already knowing the reward. The end result felt akin to be asked for a flawless raid clear for a 100 glimer reward. Personally, never have i participated in such a invent like this, it was awesome and a first to participate on something of this scale but this cheap ending, this piece of poop a the end... the next one bungie can solve it themselves. PS: about Bastion... like it was said on reddit, if it was our guardian favorite weapon... then they deserved to be dead.
@@Unlii tbh ghorn fits more in the reward slot than bastion.... and if u think about it... the whole community in D1 uses ghorn for longer than 1 year without replacing it..... so yeah its one of our favorite weapons.... and if u think i love ghorn.... ghorn is for me a legend just heard of it never played D1.... and i would also fine with a sword instead of bastion for this puzzle..... nevermind i like solving non pvp puzzles for (pvp)community so they can use another fusion rifle :) to sum it up: the event was cool. the reward too underwhelming when we got a sword tease on our coffin and the fact that a secret mission give us an expected weapon instead of sth completly different.
Huge shout out to Hoplite and Chevy! You guys were on point throughout this entire thing and were huge catalysts to the overall coordination and communication between everyone. And thanks to everyone for all their efforts. It was really amazing to watch over the 6 days jumping between multiple teams on twitch. Sub trains were going off everywhere!
i watched Gladd live, just sitting in the final room staring down at the puzzle, waiting for random community players to run the maze so he could take multiple screenshots for absolute hours and hours. Epic event indeed GG Bungie GG community
I love it how Bungie makes Quests that really get the Community together and ive never seen that before so big and heavy that ppl have to do stuff like that
I definitely think that these are much better are more nostalgic after the dust settles. Like how you did the Whisper and Last Wish videos, a while after. Makes the videos much more sought after. I don't want to see a 40+ minute video on corridors of time after I just spent 7 days watching it. Lol Good video anyway man. Keep up the good work
LOVE Lono’s words at the end. I’m a stay at home mom and I’m lucky to be able to play for a couple hours a week, but I felt involved. I got my screenshots and sent them to you guys. Great video Evan, I always look forward to what you create. GG’s Destiny Community. I feel like (I HOPE) this isn’t over…
Having been a part of this... it was amazing. You did a great job with editing this. It was a lot of long hours put in by some insane people and you summed it up very well!!!!
The entire previous week was moot because we already knew the end point and the puzzle is pointless because we can just pick up the quest from Saint now regardless. It was a good puzzle but the end makes it feel like a waste.
imagine if it was solved after reset and not the day before. unless they did a hotfix to access the quest it wouldn't have changed the release date of the bastion. LMAO
I totally get your take on enjoying the puzzle regardless of the reward. That’s what I used to love about raids in D1. Now it’s harder to get the same enjoyment out of raids, because most people watch raid videos before attempting them, and they gate-keep against players that haven’t done the raids or watched videos on how to complete them. So the enjoyment of just exploring the raids and learning the mechanics as a team seems to be less and less of a thing.
My thoughts: Awesome weapon, awesome quest, should’ve been separate. Just give us a sword from D1, or even an exotic version of Perfect Paradox or something, but idk.
Thank you so much for featuring my infographic in your video! I’m glad my infographic was able to help people out with getting all of their codes done! 😊
I just wish that puzzles like this wouldn't be made part of disposable seasonal content that will be removed from the game come the next season. Previous puzzles and hidden levels, such as Whisper, Zero Hour/Outbreak, and even Niobe Labs can still be experienced; removing the ability to experience this from the game outright cheapens the experience. In the future, we won't have any way to purchase this content or experience it for ourselves; all of the work that went into solving this puzzle will effectively be thrown in the trash bin, because nobody will even be able to LOOK at it in-game. Temporary, disposable, seasonal content is going to kill this game.
While I agree with you about it disappearing. However, the reward wasnt Bastion since you will not have to run the corridors to get it if we waited. It was just getting Bastion early.
How so? You do realize that Bungie doesn't have a shit ton of bandwidth and they can't just keep shit like this just because. There's a season it's seasonal content. You have tons of planets to explore AND the next part of the story in the next season. I mean if people got FOMO that's kind of their problem.
Was really excited for it, just didn't know where to send data, even if it was just a couple puzzle pieces. Still, was happy to be here for it, even if it was just cheering at the sidelines! Thank you for sharing how thr sausage gets made every event! So many people work so hard to make these things happen, I'm in awe at the effort made every time!
6/30/2022 - for perspective, this was the last time we, as a community, got an event like this. We got a little bit of a reminder when we got the quest for the Dead Man's Tale, but overall, we haven't had another event like this since Season of Dawn
This kind of makes me sad to think that Bungie may not release something of this magnitude ever again, and that I won't have the chance to help with such a massive effort. Call me selfish for feeling this way all you want, but it doesn't seem that they have anything like this planned in the future. I can only hope that Witch Queen will have something massive that we can all come together for again.
Thanks for putting all your hard work into this Evan. Even though I didn't join the transcribing team until late in Day 4, it was a pleasure getting to work with you, and an honor to apart of this historic event in Destiny history. I'm just pissed I couldn't keep my eyes open for 41 hours to see the puzzle get solved, could only make it 40.
If it wasn't something from the roadmap it would have been FINE even a legendary. But to put everything out there like it was some new thing just to admit. "Oh we thought you guys wouldn't finish it that fast and we were gunna poop it in your lap on the 28th anyway" then what was the point? When they said "it's a marathon not a Sprint" I knew something was up. Aka slow down or you won't have content for the rest of the season. Sad. And to sell that "it's hard to make content" story again? *Old southern guy voice* come on mane. 🤦♂️ Lol
The marathon comment was to tell people to freaking go to SLEEP. When they tweeted that Gladd had been live for over a day. Many others likely were, as well. They wanted people to know this wasn't a puzzle that would be solved in a couple days. Question: how would you make content for a game like this that ACTUALLY LASTS and the community doesn't brute force rush through it in a couple days??? You don't buy them saying that for a reason for the content we get anymore, so... What is your solution since you know how game development works? You realize a portion of their staff is working on D3, right? They have to, otherwise there would be no D3 in the future. They are doing what they can get done with the time and staff that they can afford to employ, and they've steadfast been a developer that does not overtax their employees, so they rarely do hard crunch time.
@@harperion2492 by adding content. Not a meaningless puzzle. All the time they put into that they could have made content. Do you not agree that putting something in the puzzle as a "reward" that's shown on the roadmap is not okay? I watched the streams I contributed. Been playing since D1. They could have added as I said above a legendary. Anything but what we already. Saw. I'm mad for the streamers and most streamers are mad as well soooo. Nobody is dismissing what the community has done. Nobody is dismissing bungie. It's how they decided to do this. But I guess you're happy with that "secret" emblem you got because bastion was already a guarantee whether we did the puzzle or not. I don't see how that is being overlooked my comment above is the short version of all of this. I didn't say "fuck bungie" or "I hate this game". Because that isn't true. Just tired of seeing people put in so much work to get an emblem and a shader. Or "we were gunna give it to you guys no matter what" then what's the point. But hey. No shade from me bro. That's my constructive criticism for the game. It isn't the 28th yet but as even said in this video. Doing the puzzles this way is hurting people even wanting to participate. Which is sad.
Honestly I doubt the Destiny community would be pleased either way. Hardcore players would bitch. It would happen. Also your forgetting they gotta sell it for the season pass or did that pass your head. THEY HAVE TO SELL THE SEASON PASS TO MAKE MONEY. What tf else are they gonna show people to make people interested. Hardcore players will always come back. But casual players..are casual. They don't care. It's a gun that shoots and that's all they care about.
@@adjcsee4476 you are entitled to your opinion. And you're basically saying it's okay for bungie to be predatory in order to "make money". Nothing is going over my head. This is bungie and Destiny isn't their only source of income as a franchise. Speaking that people would bitch no matter what is true. But that doesn't dismiss what I said. All they had to do was hide bastion or give us a legendary weapon of sorts. (Hell a saint-14 themed heavy g launcher like the other weapons. Would have sufficed). It's sad that all I'm suggesting is just hiding the reward on the road map which takes no time at all and you still find room to complain so I guess you proved your own point there. The legendary was just another suggestion. You guys either don't get what I'm saying or trying to argue. I like what I've gotten lore wise and cosmetic in the season pass and all that. But as I keep saying unlocking something you already see as a "secret" is disheartening to the playerbase. Especially knowing if they didn't do it. They still would have gotten it anyway. Even for "casual" players. Putting in work and then getting told you didn't have to do any of that. Is not gunna make people keep coming back. Casual, hardcore, softcore lmao. It doesn't matter. It's kind of a big middle finger to anyone.
Well i had the time of my life getting together with random people in discord and working together and laughing our asses of. You may say it's wasted time, i call it community building
Dissapointment. Mass Dissapointment. I was watching Gladd when he got. We both made the SAME FACE. THE DISSAPOINTMENT IN HIS VOICE. CHEVY DISMANTLED IT ON THE SPOT. The Race for it was AMAZING though. Kudos to the community.
Bungie:heres your favorite weapon *gives fusion rifle* Us:you know that its one of the least used weapon types, and the few ppl that use fusion rifles use jotunn bc of dmg
Thank you for telling this story. Such a cool week. Stressed out so many times that it's gonna get cracked while I'm sleeping, and then finally had literally just got my morning coffee in front of me and sat down by my computer as I heard the words "We've got it! Everyone get to the same channel!" Had my girlfriend sitting beside me reading the map from the picture shared on Discord as I ran through CoT. Admittedly slightly disappointed that the end reward wasn't a sword, but damn did getting to the final vault and hearing that Saint-14 speech send a shiver through my spine.
I disagree with a lot of what was said but you make alot of good point the messed up part about this is that what felt most rewarding was figuring out the corridors not the actual reward if bungie is gonna drop quest like this that are gonna take hundreds of players days of gameplay the reward better be worth it they can't just give us some lack luster no name weapon bastion will be a weapon I will probably never remove from my vault
Someone's gotta get the courage the cowardly dog meme going where mureal is a baby and replace the words "macaroni" and "cheese" with "puzzle" and "surprise"
In my opinion the best part of these kinds of events is that we all can get together, work together, and do something amazing. even if the reward isn't worth it, or unexpected in a good or bad way we tackled what should have taken two weeks in around a week. We all have our little corners of the community. cliques inside of larger cliques inside of PvE and PvP. I love that at the very least this shows we can all work together. literally the best community I've ever been a part of. plus seeing Gladd have a mental breakdown where he just makes faces and does a Chadd Gladd chuckle every once in a while was one of the funniest things i've seen in a long time. it was like a straight 45 minutes of me dying laughing haha
I missed the puzzle, it was during one of my breaks from destiny, but I absolutely adore the Bastion and had no idea all of this was happening so I do want to say that I think it was awesome to see all pf that cooperation, so cudos!
Puzzle 9/10 Reward 4/10 Niobe is something special, and I don't know if they can match it, but this...This is absolutely great. It was well said with that being a picture of the community, though. I agree, I love the puzzle for the puzzle, but the reward sort of....let me down. I think that they could have done different things, but...they did it how they did, and now it can't be changed. The best thing people can do is give CIVIL feedback. If you liked it, say so, if you didn't...say so. But in either case, stay civil and say why, Bungie can't fix it if they don't know what the community wants. Ideas are hard to come by, from a developmental standpoint.
This has got to be my favourite CoT round-up video. Excellent 👌 I don’t think this is finished. I think we’ll get the sword at the end of the season. I’m in awe at the whole community getting together like this. And bungie... bra-fucking-vo. Keep them coming!!!!!
Great video Evan! I watched and followed and transcribed as much as I could over the week. The community effort and involvement was incredible, unfortunately it was better than the reward. :)
Dude i thought we were unlocking trials of osiris, gjallarhorn, the mythoclast, whatever but not an announced weapon. It killed instantly the reward satisfaction. Yay the community made an effort, but it could have been way better. A lot of time and resources were invested in that thing. Activision would have made me pay 5usd just for that jump in the roadmap and Bungie just said to me: fuck you
Best summary of this event. And yea I agree with you, the experience of solving the puzzle is great, work together with others who playing the same game there makes me feel the community like home. I'm ok even at last I would 'just' get some lore.
Im still a firm believer that they shouldn't of given us Bastion, It would've been alot cooler if when Saint-14 said "i marked his/her grave with their favorite weapon" And the exotic we got was Gjallarhorn just for the sole purpose of it being one of the few rockets with 2 in the magazine and it's symbolic power.
Would have been cool if it let you pick an exotic from destiny 1. But that would have been a lot of work for an Easter egg half the community doesn’t even know about.
@@DevinEMILE and that's why time-gating shit in my opinion is the dumbest thing a game developer can do. Perfectionist have OCD so it screws those people over, and people like me who like to revisit old content on a regular basis get fucked over by the stupidity that is bungie.
The puzzle in general, the community effort and comradery was great. There is literally nothing to complain about. More of this. The reward at the end wasn't worth all that combined time investment imo. Bungie could have done a better job of tempering expectations. The only thing I really saw from them was the "marathon not a sprint". That in itself makes the whole thing feel bigger which in player minds is a bigger reward. If the bastion quest in the roadmap mentioned the corridors of time. Expectations would have been lower from the start. 6 days of working for a sword or vex weapon (mythoclast) and not getting that is always going to be disappointing.
instead of saying anything about bastion, they should have just put "Corridors of Time" on the road map. idk. the "secret" start of the quest wasn't a big deal, it was what came after.
Tried to do my best to credit everyone involved and tell the story as objectively as possible! New video will be out sooner rather than later, thanks for all of the ❤️

Think about this:
We got the original Perfect Paradox from Saint’s grave in Curse of Osiris. We then went through time to give it back to Saint, what if he put it on our grave as a memento for when we saved him?
A truly perfect paradox...
Yeah it would have been a successor to the no time to explain quest which would have been super dope
For it to be exotic. It would need an exotic perk. Perhaps an exotic combo version of vorpal and a version of osmosis that matches your subclass without using grenades
Mecha75 for sure. I’m just saying that in my opinion, that would have made for a better lore and narrative.
Kevin C fun fact: he doesn’t say it’s our favorite, he says it’s “one” of our favorites.
Xplosives yeah... it’s not my favorite... at all. It’s going to sit in my vault waiting for someone to destroy the tower again.
Marked the grave with our favourite weapon: sword
Quest reward: fusion rifle

Bungie: Let’s give them a taste of infinity.
I hope people see this and realise how big this is. This is not about just a game and a puzzle. This is the beauty of what people can do together without anything stopping them from achieving a collective goal.
A terrible disappointing collective goal

Lumpy Gash the goal was to compete the puzzle you thick minded belin
It’s awesome how they made this for people to come together and figure it out...
But...
It all doesn’t really matter cause there is a reason we do it in the first place. To have it all lead to one of the most disappointing exotics to me as a reward so I’m a bit miffed about it.

I don't feel like Bungie understands how to handle Hype and Speculation.
That puzzle was so massive it built up so much Hype in the community and the tomb had us Speculating what could possibly be inside it. Something incredible had to be locked behind something so complicated, there's a sword on the tomb, is it a sword? Etc. Saint-14 even says "I marked his/her tomb with one of his/her favorite weapons." and that seemingly validated our speculation in the final moments, only to have that Hype Train smash into a fucking brick wall of confusion and disappointment.
bungo's tweet about it being a marathon and not a sprint should have been, "take it slow, the reward isn't a surprise". LMAO

"the map is looking very very clear"
"me thinking it looks like chain mail"
I just watched this today, 10/29/21 , a year after upload and I must say… to watch how the community came together as a unit, the amount of different thought process’ and collective minds coming together to solve a great puzzle , as a watchers poin of view, is absolute amazing… and that one statement “staying up for a whole week, my choice not bungies” is 100% true,. But this was awesome to watch and I wish I was playin at the time this happened. I love all these kinds of things about destiny that really make someone question the whole destiny experience
We even saw a rare sleeping Gladd
The reward wasnt Bastion as you will not need to run the CoT to get it. But unlocking the Bastion quest early. That is it.

There may be. Bastion was on the calendar so we may get that sword later on because we completed the corridors.
Congrats for the people who actually solved the puzzle, they at least have that satisfaction, but the reward... yikes

Thats exaclty what I'm doing right now
Looking back on this from 4 years in the future, now that we have that sword that is in the grave, man does it make sense why it is called our favorite weapon...
PS: about Bastion... like it was said on reddit, if it was our guardian favorite weapon... then they deserved to be dead.
let me guess, your favorite weapon is ghorn? its people like you that make me glad ghorn is never coming back.

@@Mecha75CoD Bungie was very clear on twitter that solving the puzzle unlocked Bastion and without it, it wouldn't have become available.

Basically just “6 nights at Osiris’

Puzzle 9/10

Niobe is something special, and I don't know if they can match it, but this...This is absolutely great.
Niobe is special but not for the right reason
This has got to be my favourite CoT round-up video. Excellent 👌
I don’t think this is finished. I think we’ll get the sword at the end of the season.

I dunno just woke up
Possibly the most unsatisfying reward ever
Nothing get back to sleep
i haven’t played destiny in like a month and i have no idea what’s going on
@@Daltonconder they have just expended on osiris and seints 14 story
Nothing new of activities and secret excotic is on roadmap
Great doco on the journey...loved watching it and being apart of it. The weapon is also dope.
Im still a firm believer that they shouldn't of given us Bastion,
It would've been alot cooler if when Saint-14 said "i marked his/her grave with their favorite weapon"
And the exotic we got was Gjallarhorn just for the sole purpose of it being one of the few rockets with 2 in the magazine and it's symbolic power.
Thank-you to you and everyone that took part in this effort.
Fr. Would have been FUCKING AWESOME if Mythoclast was the award. Feel like everyone would be happy
instead of saying anything about bastion, they should have just put "Corridors of Time" on the road map. idk. the "secret" start of the quest wasn't a big deal, it was what came after.
i'm not the biggest fan of destiny, but these videos are still fun for me personally to watch. love the channel.
