It broke two great groups I was in and was a wall for 15+ hours straight, so yeah a little PTSD. I swear the encounter would have been much more enjoyable if they just changed the middle room geometry, so that the middle servitors weren't so annoying to hit.
This raid was so fun to do day one. The best part about our attempt was that we got through the Rapture on the second try and not even knowing the mechanics.
Ran DSC today with a new clan I joined. I love my brand new friends and running this raid with them was a blast, they were great teachers and really patient, they even showed me all the logs and secret chests, and they muted themselves so I could enjoy the music in space and all the awesome dialogue. 11:40 evan be like "you maybe confused with the statue..." me who owns no DLC and only by watching Byf video was like, "yeah that was in the dorito, the statue of the darkness (more or less)"
I remember right after my first clear of lw I started thinking, “It’d be so cool if there was an encounter with multiple bosses and different rooms” and this is why deep stone is my favorite raid
45:46 Gonna be honest, DSC is my favorite raid ever. Bit of bias from playing an Exo so consistently, but the fact we get to walk into such a legendary place from the Golden Age feels amazing, the battles are cool, and the MUSIC. I can't get enough of Deep Stone Lullaby!
And here I really thought the reason Atraks "healing intentionally" was that they weren't actually healing, but rather after a certain amount of damage was done in a damage phase the maximum health decreased and one of the multiple Atraks would disappear, until eventually there's only one left and that's the one that concludes the fight on death. With maximum health going down while the current health remains consistent, the bar, giving a rough percentile of where current is in relation to max, would go up, giving the appearance of healing.
Even though I've been playing the game since just after Taken King was released (I'm 18, so I was young when I started) DSC was my first experience with Day One stuff, I tuned in to ProfessorBroman's tailgate the whole day, and kicked back and relaxed, watching a bunch of teams all race. It was so special for me, I was, until recently, unaware that this kind of thing was a big deal. Being that it was such a special experience for me, I would definitely say it is my favorite raid. It's also the first expansion that I've gotten myself (in past years I've had other more important things I needed to spend my money on) so also getting to totally emerse myself completely in the DLC was magical, especially with it being such an amazing one!
watching this video after the recent reveal, and given taniks' tendency to come back to life and since he's kinda our nemesis at that point. Guardian Taniks anyone? I love his refusal to stay dead and all the different ways they've switched things up every time he returns.
So hyped to see your video on DSC, this was my first time ever getting a day one clear and it was one hell of a experience. Thanks for all you do Evan, keep it up!
Random nitpick, Ada-1 wasn't born in the Crypt. We know she specifically was exo-ified in the Niobe Labs, through her mother's efforts. Also. Atraks is a woman. Thinking about it Eriamis' council was 2/3rds female (Eriamis herself, Phylaks, Kridis, and Atraks, which is neat since we keep reading about female fallen being just as tough as the males but rarely seeing them.)
Umm..... I need to point out there actually is a lore card _Somewhere_ that references her having a female mate waaaaaaaay back, who is now dead. Variks is the narrator in that one, but damn me if I can't remember what it was from.

Tip of the hat evanf1997! Very well done. Not only have you combined an overview with a guide, but all the relevant lore is great. My self I love this raid. Last Wish is almost overshadowed here. The fantasy element of LW is fun, but the realism and the span of Deep Stone is incredible. Going into space, chilling to some lulaby type tune after an intense encounter and freaking out over an old enemy coming back with some serious prejudice and fighting an encounter while on a crash descent from space is just as mind blowing as getting Whisper. I am insisting that all of my clan mates that have not run DSC watch this vid. Thank you for such a great effort. and yes I watched all the way through. Hope you got some good rest after...
I absolutely love how this is part guide, part loveletter, and part lore set. I’m new here and am absolutely subbing. Thanks for the excellent work you put in!
Just Risk it Theory time. What if she doesn't require resets because the Black Armory used something Light-made? Exos in the DSC used Alkahest, Darkness mixed with Radiolaria. Which would make them have to be reset. What if Ada-1 doesn't need to be reset because they used something like the Light to make her?
I think aesthetically and story content wise this is my favorite but my favorite moment in any raid was the last shot in King’s Fall. I mean he fell to the guardians and then he literally fell to Saturn. That moment had so much feeling too it and I’ll cherish it forever.
as my first day one experience, this raid will always have a special part in my heart. my team did not get a day one clear but it was so special to experience and i’m so happy that i was able to participate.

It's a competition. I've never seen him behave unsportsmanlike because of a loss. Only properly pissed at appropriate times quite frankly. 🤷🏻♀️😒 And I guarantEEEE you that any of Us in his position would have been too, so just stop.
STATUS: CALAMITOUS
@@KabbalahSherry he called day 1 "a handout" because so many people played. And the raid was possible to play for more than just the .0001% like in last wish.
Gladd was 100% I'm the wrong here and deserves the criticism of his bad take.
It broke two great groups I was in and was a wall for 15+ hours straight, so yeah a little PTSD.
I swear the encounter would have been much more enjoyable if they just changed the middle room geometry, so that the middle servitors weren't so annoying to hit.
What I loved the most is that Clovis Bray gives a Bioshock character vibe, my favorite series of games
This raid is awesome and really want to do more of this.
Guardians : "That's it right? we killed him 6 times now., we display his head as a trophy in Exo Stranger's hut too, no way he can get up from that!"
Taniks : *Robot boogie dance*
Damn right one of the best raids so far.
Kinda easy, but damn it's fun.
@@Kyle-fy9kt true, but it slaps my ass so good.
If there was a hard mode, it would easily be one of the best raids

@@aimbotarrow5981 I mean it already is. Wrath was incredible easy even with a hard mode.
Just the fact that in a game where we travel from planet to planet almost instantly, going to space itself was so awesome and the atmosphere of the jumping puzzle... amazing
Also the crypt ai in space reminds me of kayneth from fate/zero in the way he talks to you
“Taniks the only fallen more machine than fallen” Aksis would like to have a word
Aksis is 100% machine but Taniks is 150% machine because he was turned into an Exo then fused with a heavy shank.
I love how the raid used space as an environment, it was badass and I hope they do it more

Bro when you were showing final stand for Taniks, my heart started beating like I was there again. Love the content.
Right in the middle of Deep Stone Lullaby, an ad played :(

watching this video after the recent reveal, and given taniks' tendency to come back to life and since he's kinda our nemesis at that point. Guardian Taniks anyone? I love his refusal to stay dead and all the different ways they've switched things up every time he returns.
We can all agree that the music was the best part of the raid
The music ADDED to what was the best parts of the raid, to be sure. But the visuals???
**blows Chef's kiss** 😘🤏🏼 PERFECTION

DSC is by far my favourite raid, I got chills in my first run especially when going through the space walk right before the first taniks encounter.
I still tear up with the Lullaby sometimes. It's so gorgeous in addition to how thematically loaded the setting is.

Eramis is also not straight (not outright said to be a lesbian, but if her choice of top troops is any indication of preference)
@@thomasallen9974 that’s like saying men having other men as their lieutenants makes them gay. If it’s not in the lore then it’s not there
Umm..... I need to point out there actually is a lore card _Somewhere_ that references her having a female mate waaaaaaaay back, who is now dead.
Variks is the narrator in that one, but damn me if I can't remember what it was from.
@@thedarkgenious7967 a quick google search and i found it. Unless destinypedia is lying to me, her lover is Athrys who may have died or is at least MIA.
That’s what I get for taking words at face value. I stand corrected!
@@xQuinn2013x you know funnily enough I went hunting through some of my new items and was 99% sure the Athrys' Embrace exotic was the one that said it, then remembered that only had an old fallen lullaby.
Amazing Raid, one of the best raid's to date, amazing vibe, and I love how it actually tells a story while running through it! I think you covered it perfectly evan! Great job!
Imagine hearing the lullaby but then immediately getting an Arby’s ad

Ada-1 was a custom built exo by the armory
Indeed, she was born in the Niobe labs I think
@@TheKnightRen89 correct and that’s why there’s only been one version of her, whatever makes her special made it so she didn’t need a reset
Just Risk it Theory time. What if she doesn't require resets because the Black Armory used something Light-made?
Exos in the DSC used Alkahest, Darkness mixed with Radiolaria. Which would make them have to be reset.
