To Igor Ryitsev: When certain things become legalized and accepted in society: weed, gaiety, myriads of genders, weird sex-ed in schools, bail reform, and recidivistic reprievals. This blight will eventually bounce back on the kids to bite their bottoms.
The child was drugged at school by another student .She did no take any drugs .She ate candy that was tainted with drugs. She is a victim of a crime that occurred on school property. The way they have handled this situation is deplorable.Thank goodness it wasn't another much more harmful or poisonous substance. No one should blame this child for doing anything other than eating a peice of candy on school grounds And all that have harmed her her should be ashamed and made to feel very sorry for punishing her
What happened to the other student who gave this innocent kid the candy that’s the real person who needs to be in trouble! And the child’s parents this is nuts. Can you sure or leave that school for how you were treated? She didn’t know! We need educate our schools. I pray no negative side effects. School administrators should just notified the parents and checked she was ok and that’s it. They changed it for fear of being sued
The parents of the child who gave her the candy should be investigated and prosecuted. The child should be reinstated and any blemish removed from her record.
Why suspend the kid?! She didn’t know! Seems like mom didn’t have anything to do with it either!!! So now she’s got a suspension on her school record!!! Yeah mom, fight that with all you got.
Nobody is allowed to blame a child for accepting candy when it's offered to them! It's a CHILD. They are learning and growing , their brain functions are not even finished developing, they are too young to know what drugs are, and God forbid we have to teach CHILDREN how to Not be Drugged!? What a genuinely horrifying reality we live in that this would be an issue.

Agreed, that Principal shouldn't be working at the School if they blame the one who was given the drug-laced Gummy and not the one who gave her the Gummy.
@@JadenYukifan28 We don't know what the consequences were for the gummy giver but what I want to know is what the school is doing about it. Does the school even have a rule against eating anything given by someone else? If so, do the students understand the purpose and has it been enforced before? Clearly every person at the school needs to be educated about this. Has this happened before? Who knows? I'd love to see a more complete story.
Sue the school, administration, the childs parents. This was a poisoning on school grounds. This would be a completely different story if it was fentanyl laced 😩

The fact that the school didnt tell her is literally endagering the welfare of a child! The doctors can help MUCH more if they know whats causing the issue!
The point is that the school knew that her kid (one of their 12 yr old student's nonetheless) ate a gummy that was or could of been laced with thc or weed! After knowing this & sending the child home to her parent's the school didn't allow the parent of the minor to know what had happened during school or even why she is being sent home! A lot of your replies are completely missing the point here! Yes, the gummy wasn't given by the school, staff, or anyone working at this physical brick & mortar school campus. However, it is 100% negligence on behalf of this school for not addressing or even acknowledging this situation to the parent of this girl -period. 🙄 Shoot... this poor young girl was throwing up & that was not the only side affect as her mother mentioned. 😢 ALL SCHOOL STAFF ARE MANDATED REPORTER'S. THEY HAVE A DUTY & ARE TRAINED to know what to do & how too handle situations if they so arise. They, the school; should of took the necessary steps & reported this straight to law enforcement, poison control, ALL parent's & parties involved- as well as, call an ambulance to take her directly to a hospital for care. Even if it wasn't a emergency right then & there, there are policies & protocols to go by for this very situation 🤔 😕 This whole situation is very absurd to say the least! And the lack of ANY accountability or responsibility is sickening & upsetting 😡 Then to turn around & suspend this child after the fact - ReAlLy!?!?! This poor mom... just think how confused 😕 you would be trying to take care of your child who is obviously sick - but now not only is this mom dealing with a sick child but they're threatened by being suspended- and not knowing wth is going on!?!?! Geez... i would if completely lost it- way to keep your cool mom! Goshhh... SERIOUSLY what is going on with all these crazy school's lately 😕 so stinking sad!

@SuperGamerMadness I mean hell. I accidentally at one point ate an orbee when I was ten due to thinking it was a Boba bead. My friend's mom thought I ate a pixso or the one toy beads laced with the date rape drug and called poison control. As she was holding me, when my friend asked where the orbee went. Her mom realized it and sent us upstairs. I mean this is a CHIlD they eat stuff on accident. Thinking it's safe or not poisonous.
So let me get this straight, the child gets poison while on school property, eats it and gets so sick she could have died…then they decide to punish her? It doesn’t matter if she knew or not, I don’t believe she knew. The other child may not have known it was poison, what child turns down candy?
Okay, let you get this straight: The child went against school and classroom policy--- she accepted food from another student, she took candy while in classtime and snuck in the bathroom to hide and eat it. That is what she is suspended for. The result of the THC poisoning is another issue. This is one of the reasons this policy is in place amongst other reasons like not passing food alergens. An investigation is ongoing to determine if the child did or did not use free will to take THC laced candy and ingest it knowingly of such. These are lessons that are instilled throughout adulthood--- this is involuntary negligence at the least. This is exactly how the school should have handled it- by using what measures and enforcement they had available. given that I am sure they weren't ever forseeing dealing with something like this, and isolating the incident (meaning suspending the kid during investigation), and working with school offcials and parents --- which were notified as soon as the school learned what happened--- to make the best informed decision to resolve the problem. The kid is old enough to have freewill and understand what is right and wrong and make her choices. This can also be a learning experience. That what we do has consequences that we can't always forsee and when we know something is wrong we just shouldn't do it. Period. I know Mama bear here is setting her kid straight about that.
School law is different than most laws. All that the school would need to do in court of law is to show their policy and prove that the child was under the influence at school.
Even if the child “knew” SHES 9 YEARS OLD. She doesn’t have the capacity to consent to something like that. Children don’t understand all the serious effects of drugs. The child who brought it needs to be in trouble, not the girl who ate it, and the child who brought it parents need to be investigated. The school should be on their knees begging the girls mom not to sue them into oblivion but instead they’re making the case worse for themselves when they go to court. A jury wouldn’t look upon their response to the issue very kindly.
Actually, if you listened to the whole video, she Actually went up to the school to question the principal and asked why was she suspended for eating a candy when she didn't know what was in it.
@@maddmunkee2 Are you talking about your kids? If not, don't assume that because the child is black that she is more advanced than she is. If we accept your jaded, racist way of thinking should we also blame all of the kids who were given marijuana gummies, or the ones who ate the marijuana-laced brownies given to them by their white teachers, because, according to you the students should have known the teachers were giving them drugs because of UA-cam videos. I guess also, according to your logic, the kids whose teacher brought sperm-laced cupcakes to hand out to the students should have known that their teacher laced the cupcakes with something because of UA-cam. Do you also think that the students should shoulder the responsibility of "unknowingly" eating sperm-filled cupcakes and that the teacher should not get jail time and should be allowed to keep her job so she can give more children her husband's sperm? Lastly, are you a teacher? If so, let us know in the comment section so we can warn people to watch their children around you. Since you seem to want to blame children for the actions of others. As an African American, I would be so afraid to have a child in any racist school system here in current-day America. All of the evil white, racist teachers have been unleashed during the Trump administration and they refuse to go back underground with their racist attitudes. Instead of harping about a 9-year-old child who unknowingly ate a marijuana gummy, why don't white people ever speak out or show anger over their fellow white folks' behavior against Black children, especially in schools? White people are so afraid that your blue-eyed, blond-haired child will learn that their ancestors were crazy, barbaric slave owners but could care less that a white teacher forced Black children to wear chains, pick the seed out of cotton and call him "master" during class, in April 2022. You white folk are screaming to anyone who will listen that Critical Race Theory will traumatize your lily-white children if they were taught about white America's animalistic past. Yet the major of white people are okay with white teachers forcing Black kids to write a homework assignment on what type of slave they would have been, whether they would have worked in the field or in the big house. White people show Black people every day just how crazy and deranged they are. It is up to us, Black people, to accept these truths and to protect ourselves accordingly. I am not telling Black people to hate anyone but rather telling Black people to yourselves against the hate that white people project towards us every day of our lives. We will all reap the harvest we sow. So, don't give the same hate we get back to those who hate us without cause. We will keep love in our hearts for all of GOD's creations. Because we know that GOD will avenge us and HE will "return to sender" every single evil action that evil racists have done to us, our ancestors, and our children. GOD will pour out his wrath on those who continuously subject us and our innocent children to their brand of evil, especially attacking children.
The mother needs to change her daughter's school, so the expulsion or suspension isn't on her record. She also needs to hire an attorney to sue the family of the child who gave her daughter the candy, and the mother needs to have the lawyer speak to the school about their unethical and unlawful expulsion of her daughter. The school could also be sued for negligence for having a child at the school with marijuana laced candy. The mother needs to get legal representation to fix this issue.
School law is different than most laws. All that the school would need to do in court of law is to show their policy and prove that the child was under the influence at school.
This is so sad. I am glad this mother is pursuing what happened to her daughter. Her daughter is the victim and should have NOT been suspended. This entire situation was handled poorly from the beginning. Not to mention the marijuana was likely obtained illegally and thus there's a chance it could've been laced with something even more dangerous, the parents need to know that that's a possibility

Oh HELL no. I would sue that school til they couldn’t function anymore. A child is essentially poisoned at school and then is punished for it??? I have a 9yr old. She has ZERO knowledge that anything that could be a drug could be contained within something that looks Like a gummy rope. I’m 47 and had no clue they made them this way! Gummies. Not kids candy shaped crap Wth??
Right a 9y.o. doesn't know anything about mj. So I wonder did the other kid get expelled? Are they investigating that student and his or her parent(s)? The principal is very unprofessional and didn't handle that situation correctly. She needs to be fired by the superintendent
All that the school told this mother sounds like a whole lotta ass covering on their part. No way should her daughter have been punished, but I feel the parents of the child who brought this "candy" definitely should face repercussions. I think some investigation into the child should be done as well. I'm thinking, was this child innocently sharing candy, or did this child know exactly what they had and gave it to Amya as a trick! That is a very disturbing thought!
As a mom I would also want to know what penalties the child that gave the candy away faced and who the child was. If the school wouldn’t tell me I’d be asking my kid to tell me and then confronting the school board and take it up a notch. 🙂
This is beyond horrific. The parents of the child who gave her the laced candy should be questioned. Where did THAT child get such "candy"? Why is it that the victim is re-victimized? This child is innocent and should never have been suspended. This was a traumatic situation for that sweet little girl. The principal should have had some sympathy for the victim!
The school is seeking to put the child "in the system" and blaming it on her. What LAB TESTS did the school just do over the phone? How did this go from a possible virus to a possible POISONING, to the child (and possible victim) being documented suspended/expelled for drug use? There is a case in the media right now of a caterer and bride being charged with poisoning for giving THC to wedding guests. The child is not old enough to buy any THC product so who is/are the adults that are being protected at the expense of this child?
If there were a dealer at school, then there should be many children getting sick. 1 sick kid means the kid found momma's stash and brought the gummy from home. Momma is making up stories to save her own ass. So, yeah, the "system" is probably a better solution for this kid.
Child protective services should investigate how the child got the THC candy in the first place! This little 9 year old didn't know the candy was laced with THC, her little innocent face tells me that. Her being suspended is ridiculous!
This is insane. Sue the school for having drugs on the premises and for failing in their duty of care of that little girl. What kid is going to turn candy down? If I was 9 years old, I'd have eaten it too, no questions asked. 9 year olds don't think about drugs.
The conversation between these 2 seemed rather obtuse when it came to mentioning who the giver of the candy was. Was he/she identified? Why is that avenue not discussed here?

Nothing to do with a little girl who obviously did nothing wrong from what it looks like. However, you people in the comment section are clueless. You’re the second gullible person who said nine years don’t know about drugs. I don’t know what rock you were living under, but you May want to crawl from under it - because 6-7 year olds are selling drugs and using drugs. Could teach you things that would blow your mind. There’s something wrong when a child does not know what drugs are because then they don’t know to stay away from them. That means that the parents failed somewhere
maybe kids that age should be warned about it? i know when i was that age we had people come in and talk about it; and when i say people i mean experts like cops and doctors who take time out of their busy day to talk about it. kids aren't stupid; and the fact that a majority of adults treat them like they are is fucking asinine. seriously.
It is a different world out there. We went trick or treating with friends for blocks. Came home, sorted candy, parents ate what they wanted, we joked about it. What parent would give their kids freedom to do that now? We don't trust strangers. Schools need their policies changed to reflect the times. There are good reasons for rules of not accepting candy or food from others. A policy of no treats for parties would be good also. Let kids have music or do art projects for rewards
Kids that age do know plenty about drugs just not enough to make educated choices, but maybe that’s because we scare them instead of teaching them. Driving is scary and usually the worst drivers are the people who are afraid of it. I agree with you but trust me your kids know so much more than they let you think. Soooooo much more.

Ok, now I'm convinced that during the pandemic and after everything opened back up, people are losing their damn minds. How in the heck does a 9-year-old child know anything about gummies' edibles being laced with THC? Why is the school treating her like she's a criminal when another kid brought the laced marijuana to school? If the parents are into marijuana edibles, keep it out of the reach of children. The parents of that child need to be investigated. Shame on the principal for not knowing how to handle that situation and suspending her for something she had no understanding of.
this is clearly racist. I truly feel that if a white student had eaten it, the word unknowingly would not be in " " the headline would be "child drugged at school". Which is what happened. Her actions are criminalized. A child was drugged and got extremely sick. The school is desperately trying to avoid a lawsuit bc a child was poisoned on their grounds. So they try to pass the buck to A 9 YEAR OLD. They have the responsibility for the safety of the kids while they are at school. Like the mom pointed out, kids were getting bags full of candy previously at school. Visually there is almost no difference between THC candy and regular. They also can't prove the other student "knowingly" brought them to school thinking they were anything other than candy.
@@althor9997 a kid knowing something "isn't allowed" is much different than them grasping the consequences and meaning of what they did. I don't think she knew. She might've known it was a "special" candy but she probably just snuck off to eat it bc the kids aren't allowed to eat in school.
I want an update of this because the school and its representative sound uneducated, how do you suspend someone for eating something unknown? Get a lawyer fast
Because it wasn’t unknown. Those kids were eating them on purpose and got caught. I vaguely remember something like this happening at my middle school.
You are a little bias. In the end, the kid did something she wasnt suppose to and resulted in a consequence. The school said she knew, the mom said she didn't. What to do? This is a result of the kid taking candy which was not allowed, sneaking into the bathroom, and eating it. Had she of not been off misbehaving, it would not have been possible for her to get involved in this at all.

That statement at the end leads me to believe that the child who brought the candy to school and gave to her, but didn't eat the candy themselves was not disciplined. In fact I can't help but think this child not only knew what they had, but had given it to her with the intention of getting her in trouble. Just a thought.
The other student who gave her the edible should be disciplined for Distributing drugs at school and they also need to get to the bottom of where this child got this edible from.

I remember, in high school, some kid brought in pot brownies and gave one to his friend. He never told his friend there was weed in it. When the kid got high, he got sick, and went to the nurse. The nurse immediately realized he was stoned out of his mind. He had a meeting with the principal, the nurse, his parents, and I heard (not confirmed) a cop. He got suspended, kicked off his sports team, and lost his full ride college sports scholarship. All because one person thought it was funny.
@@ciaranofarrell4010 The point is that the student didn't know that he was eating a pot brownie. He though that it was just a regular brownie. His friend that gave it to him didn't tell him because he thought that it would be funny.
One thing is that your children aren't Safe at SCHOOL and when you have ADULTS that NEVER GROW UP. THAT'S WHAT WRONG WITH THE WORLD SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN IT.!!!.
Let’s say the little girl did know it was laced, the fault should still mainly be on the child that brought the candy to school in the first place & their parents!
Why is the victim being punished? What happened to the student who gave her the candy? How did this other student get the marijuana laced candy? Did the other student get expelled or suspended? Wow. Just like with bullying, schools punishing the victim. It is not safe having children in public schools anymore. Something is missing from this.
This has been taking place for years I received a call from my daughters 1st grade teacher saying she was doing her usual and that’s cutting up in the cafeteria while eating her breakfast I got this call every morning.(her calling with a scripted routine) so following that I made her aware of my daughter sitting in the room with me getting her hair combed and that she would be running late. She sighed deeply then replied “I could have sworn that was her bruh I hate the things that I allowed them to do to my daughter Due to her defaming my daughter I filed a grievance that was briefly handled by switching my child to another class but the teacher remain there to harass our family.
Expecting a 9 year old to know the difference between food and edibles, is an extremely high (no pun intended 😏), unreasonable expectation to hold her to.
@@Rhobae no doubt. I was talking about hypothetically an adult was giving out THC infused gummies to people without saying they are infused, even the adults' receiving the gummies won't be able to know the difference.

Stop using these these government entities because they come with fine print that you arent even able to read. Stay at home with your children and build and barter within the community it will work.
If I had a kid and this happened to them I'd be taking legal action straight away. That principal is cold-blooded, checking on a girl's symptoms just to get the evidence to suspend her like that.
The only disciplinary action should have been the parents of the child who brought it to school being held accountable for it. If you have something like that in your home and a child can access it, you need to be held accountable if they ingest it.
The school was supposed to be responsible for the kids while at school so how is it ok a 9 years old bring drug lace candy to school but the child who ate it unknowingly gets punished. This school has problems and the parents should sued them promptly. This is beyond outrageous! That reason alone is why I homeschool my kids, I didn’t want to send my kids to a public school where teachers don’t care about the well-being of their students or for my kids to be around bullies.
The teachers? What? They are severely limited on what they can do and how they can discipline anyone. If you call a parent to complain their kid is acting up, they threaten to sue you and “get your job”. Then they lodge a complaint against you and you’re under investigation. The parents(not this one) take zero responsibility for their kids actions. I spent 22 years in a Bronx Junior High School until 2012 and have lived through this and have seen this hundreds of times.
How would they know the candy was laced with marijuana I don't think the other child knew the candy was laced with THC either to them it looks like regular candy and it tastes like regular candy as well the other child's parent needs to store thing's like that properly although recreational marijuana is legal in some states as an adult you need to keep thing's like that away from your child its unfortunate that this little girl had to suffer the consequences for the school to make a example out of her
Mom…please don’t let this die. I know you don’t want this to be your child, but imagine the kids who have no advocate. Appeal this. To make sure it is removed from her record
I know how that mother feels. I am 57 years old and was given one of those gummies unknowingly by a Co worker. I was very very sick and had to go to the emergency room. I was not even able to recognize my daughter. Long story short I was terminated after I expressed my disgust at what happened.

Oh hell no! This school is totally responsible for her child coming into contact with an illegal drug. This school needs to be worried about the child’s health. Intentional or not she received this substance from another child she didn’t bring it to school. What child doesn’t intentionally eat candy. I’m pretty sure she would not have intentionally eaten it had she known it had drugs in it 🤬
Illegal its not illegal everywhere just saying but totally agree school is 100% responsible and should have worried about the girl health than the punishment
what could the school do but follow procedure? who is this mysterious other child drug dealer that gave her the candy is the question or maybe did she find the candy in her own home?? most mothers are quick to lay the law and say this is a no drug home, they are on television btw so she would probably want to pop that out ther,. but the mother of this girl seemed unusually accepting of any potential punishment as long as she was not expelled, and in the interview momma seemed to be kind of stalling at points and very quickly responsive when the topic went back to the principal's call rather than how her child got "poisoned" 🧐🧐🧐🧐
I am a retired elementary principal and teacher of 54 years and I am here to tell you that the principal made a WRONG decision. The child was totally unaware of the candy she was eating!! If the school follows through with this decision, the parent needs to SUE.
DID I GET THIS RIGHT.??? Child poisoned in school and school system suspends her because an apology was not in the realm of possibilities. Sure am glad it was not fentanyl.
If a little girl is being sexually assaulted and fights off her assaulter she would also be suspended. These are school board issues and they are usually full of it.
I also ate drugged candy at school when I was younger. A friend brought bubblegum to school and shared it with our click. I felt super nice and relaxed and started talking about it. One friend felt dizzy. So apparently we were chewing on her brother's nicotine gum. It woulda been ridiculous to get any of us suspended over it. It was minty candy and none of us new better. My friend was petrified after her brother told her.
I smell a lawsuit! The school was covering their a...! I would sue the district! We’re they even concerned about the welfare of this child? It doesn’t seem likely.
This child should not have been punished. She took CANDY from a FRIEND. It looked like candy, it tasted like candy. She didn't take it from a stranger.
@@jagbrit3723 actually I was mistaken. There already has been fentanyl contamination that's killed kids at school. I'm weird for worrying about reality?? That's interesting but if you say so, I'll take your word... My only point is that the drugs are out of control and there's an abundance of teachers and parents that don't care (or even pay attention to) what the kids are doing (each assuming the other is doing that job, when neither is). It's a testimony to how apathetic teachers and parents are in this country and it's heartbreaking - whether you experience the same society in Britain or not, it doesn't seem too difficult to feel empathy for the lost lives of the children who never had an adult figure looking out for/protecting their well-being
If they know who she got the candy from why the hell aren't they being punished this really infuriates me if that was my child I would be raising hell! They are lucky this mom is handling it as well as she is.
The mom and girl sound like good people. Her tone and manner of expression suggest that she is just talking about her experience, not adding a ton of drama with extreme emotions. I like it, she’s vocalizing how she sets healthy boundaries for her kid and talks with her kid to stay aware of what’s going on. The kid should be taken care of with respect and the other one should be the one to be punished.
This happened because nowadays good is evil and evil is good. Victims are perpetrators and perpetrators are victims and too many people are just fine with all of this. This little girl basically already suffered the consequences of eating this "candy." It is obviously wrong to to punish her.
Such a precious and pretty little girl. I have three little girls, myself, and one is her age. I would be very angry with the principal and the parents of the student who gave her daughter the THC laced candy. The school is making many mistakes!
Nah, the school is fine. Momma needs to hide her stash better though. Maybe she'll learn her lesson after her daughter is sent to a better home and momma does a few years in prison.

What the mother should have said when the principal called her on the phone with an officer is “ so what you’re telling me is that my nine year old was given drugs while at school in your custody and she Became ill as a result? Officer you are a witness to her admission. Thanks for admitting liability you’ll be hearing from my lawyer”. The gall of these people to try to defer blame and responsibility onto the mother is outrageous! These people are the ones that should be held responsible. That’s why my children will never go to public or private school. I will never place them in the hands of a corrupt educational system Where there is no accountability to the people who pay them to educate their kids and where the parents have no say in what children or taught.
That's it That's all hang up the phone and call a lawyer. I said why was she all up at the school talking to the principal without legal counsel and legal representation when something illegal is involved AND HER CHILD WAS sick from it. She's playing with these people I certainly wouldn't have
This happened to my 13 year old cousin a few months ago and the school handled it exactly how they should have. She was poisoned on Valentine’s Day. Her parents were outraged and the school disciplined the student who poisoned her. This is absolutely ridiculous and frankly I wonder if the administration would have handled this case in the same way if this wasn’t a family of color. I understand different school boards have different rules but this is just insane. She’s 9 years old and they are treating her as if she’s an adult who should be completely aware of the possible consequences of eating a piece of candy from her friend. And the Valentine’s Day thing? Are you kidding me? They should be sued. When this happened to my cousin she said she didn’t know what it was and they believed her without any “pending investigation”
Don’t punish an innocent child, she’s already traumatized by a neglectful educational system. That’s a form of bullying from the principal, totally unacceptable behaviour
How can people say this little girl knows, that the candy was laced when it look like humming bears. Did the other child who gave her the candy knew it was laced and Ed she suspended?
They are saying she knew, because she is a black child, and naturally her being black she has to know about drug use at 9 y/o. Black children are given harsher punishment for incidents in schools than their white counterparts, and they also aren't ever seen as innocent children.
All this kid did was what any other kid would do when they’re getting candy from a friend. She ate it. Take away the fact that there was THC in the candy, and the child knew nothing of this. She was just eating candy. They are really trying to criminalize her.
Do you think this child has enough knowledge to even know The impact that marijuana could have on her at nine years old? Fact remains she was given some candy, and she ate it. The child is not a criminal. What is wrong is that the other student obtained this drug disguised as candy, and brought it to school. It is likely she was not eating the candy because it was marijuana, but because it was Candy.
@cxxx valee Candy of all kinds was forbidden in the classroom as stated in the video. She knew this, but wanted to eat the candy regardless, and so ate it in the bathroom before she went to class. It is not that hard to understand this. Meanwhile - consider that she DID know that it was laced with THC. As a 9 year old child you have no way of conceptualizing the consequences of your actions in a concrete way. In the same way a 9 year old cannot truthfully consent to sex, for example, a 9 year old cannot truthfully consent to taking drugs, because they are children who haven't developed an understanding of cause-and-affect or risk assessment. They are simply not informed enough to say "YES" to something serious and adult like THC. So even if she "knew" it was laced with THC (which she didn't), as a child she is still developmentally unable to know what that means, what eating it would do to her or that eating it would be a more severe infraction than eating a regular piece of forbidden candy. So, no matter which way you cut it, it is not her fault. It really isn't even the fault of the other child who gave her the drugged candy, as this child should've never had access to THC in the first place. Ultimately the blame lies on whoever allowed their children to have access to THC, whether purposefully or by way of neglect. Those to be criminalized are those who originally put children into contact with THC. NOT THE CHILDREN who subsequently gained access to them. Basically, whichever way you cut it, your point is unnecessarily cruel and it's putting so much blame on literal babies for no reason.
@cxxx valee yeah usually when I become confused when hearing someone's long story it's for a good reason, she's leaving out a lot of the conversation between she and the principal. I remember being in school back in the '80s and I have a now 11 year old son and I know it's nothing to sneak some candy in your mouth during class.
Wow 😮 I can not believe they disciplined her when she was a victim. This is astounds me… the level of incompetence in their decision making skills. How is she supposed to know and they didn’t even check to find out what happened first. She is 9 no 9 year old child is thinking 🤔 drugs laced with candy. Better not. Good lord!
I can’t imagine going through that at 9 and getting in trouble for it. However I had a similar situation where my ex-friend(cute innocent looking white girl mind you) gave me one of her brownies at school, and telling me after that it was laced with LSD as a joke between her and her friends. I ran to the office and told before I started tripping out. Guess who got in trouble though? My family had to fight to keep me in school while her and those three girls got off Scott free. Then they tried to be my friends again a few months later, only to find they were aiming to mess with my younger cousin who was a rather popular JV basketball player. Let’s just say I am a very biased person and try not to be around a group of white women who try to identify with my blackness(like it’s a trend) if I can help it. Way too many stories with those girls, this was just the one where I chose not to forgive them that time🤦🏾♀️.

Let kids have music or do art projects for rewards

this is clearly racist.

Principal is an idiot! I'd sue the principal, school system, and everyone involved in this travesty of justice!!
The only disciplinary action should have been the parents of the child who brought it to school being held accountable for it. If you have something like that in your home and a child can access it, you need to be held accountable if they ingest it.
meanwhile there is no discipline for kids that are beating up teachers.
as a black man on youtube, that would be racist.
This has nothing to do with teachers but the administration. That’s who suspended the girl. Not the teachers 🙄

How can people say this little girl knows, that the candy was laced when it look like humming bears. Did the other child who gave her the candy knew it was laced and Ed she suspended?

These are the future weedheads of tomorrow.
People are saying the group of kids she was with knew exactly what they were taking.
They are saying she knew, because she is a black child, and naturally her being black she has to know about drug use at 9 y/o. Black children are given harsher punishment for incidents in schools than their white counterparts, and they also aren't ever seen as innocent children.
Yez
All this kid did was what any other kid would do when they’re getting candy from a friend. She ate it. Take away the fact that there was THC in the candy, and the child knew nothing of this. She was just eating candy. They are really trying to criminalize her.
You aren't seeing the truth. Think a little and ask yourself why this story is BS.
Hint: There aren't several sick kids in this story. Only 1.
