Evolution is not an observable fact. Natural selection is. Evolution and Natural Selection are not the same thing. I find it interesting that people do not believe in God, but they believe in universe. Can you really believe in universe? Because universe is still a mystery. The universe that we know of is called “observable universe”. The rest are not observable, so what’s outside of this “observable sphere” is also a theory. Big bang theory is also a theory, it literally says “theory” on the title.

We do in fact have proof of human evolution, we have thousands of fossils from previous hominid species, and we have carbon dating to get an appropriate estimation on how long ago they lived, which has lead to us being able to put the timeline together of how we evolved/when our ancestor species existed. I have no idea where you got the notion that a scientific theory is just “a guess” or “an idea” but the definition of scientific theory is “an explanation of an aspect of the natural world and universe that can be repeatedly tested and corroborated in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results.” In other words, scientific THEORY is something that can be, and has been proven with the scientific method. I believe you are confusing the word “Hypothesis” with “theory” And you’re right, Darwin didn’t have anything do with research of human evolution, but Darwin wasn’t an evolutionary biologist, and we have far more evidence for evolution now than we did when he proposed his hypothesis about evolution. And we shouldn’t be looking at scientific books with the thought of “but does this go with the Catholic Church?” Because the church is faith based.

Darwin’s theory is leading because his observations laid the groundwork for almost everything we know today about evolution, because the EVIDENCE supports his theory. We know where single cell organisms came from, they originated from inorganic substances. This theory is called “abiogenesis” which I myself am not very educated on, but you can read up on it or watch videos from experts on the subject.

The best response to this question that I have heard was given by Ricky Gervais , it goes something like this: " If all science books and religious books were destroyed and no memory of them existed , in a couple thousand years , all the science books will be back in the same form , as the same tests and observations lead to the same results , but religious books would not return in the same form". This is why we believe science rather than religion , because science is evidence based , and it also constantly changes based on new data that is discovered , unlike religion which is stoic in nature. That is the reason why science is the ultimate tool to understand the reality that we live in.

The reason we believe in science books, not the Bible, is because the science books were written by people who showed us their research (and it made sense), and the Bible was written by some guy who was trying to figure out how the world around us was made. Evolution is not an observable fact. Natural selection is. Evolution and Natural Selection are not the same thing. Natural Selection is good genetics being passed on while bad genetics fade out leading to a stronger species. Evolution is a Fish became a Monkey became a Man because....? The "Theory" was also to survive, except that if fish and monkeys still exist then clearly Evolution wasn't actually necessary.

I do believe in evolution because there are mountains of irrefutable evidence for it.
I find it interesting that people do not believe in God, but they believe in universe. Can you really believe in universe? Because universe is still a mystery. The universe that we know of is called “observable universe”. The rest are not observable, so what’s outside of this “observable sphere” is also a theory. Big bang theory is also a theory, it literally says “theory” on the title.

We do in fact have proof of human evolution, we have thousands of fossils from previous hominid species, and we have carbon dating to get an appropriate estimation on how long ago they lived, which has lead to us being able to put the timeline together of how we evolved/when our ancestor species existed.
I have no idea where you got the notion that a scientific theory is just “a guess” or “an idea” but the definition of scientific theory is “an explanation of an aspect of the natural world and universe that can be repeatedly tested and corroborated in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results.”
In other words, scientific THEORY is something that can be, and has been proven with the scientific method. I believe you are confusing the word “Hypothesis” with “theory”
And you’re right, Darwin didn’t have anything do with research of human evolution, but Darwin wasn’t an evolutionary biologist, and we have far more evidence for evolution now than we did when he proposed his hypothesis about evolution. And we shouldn’t be looking at scientific books with the thought of “but does this go with the Catholic Church?” Because the church is faith based.

We know where single cell organisms came from, they originated from inorganic substances. This theory is called “abiogenesis” which I myself am not very educated on, but you can read up on it or watch videos from experts on the subject.

" If all science books and religious books were destroyed and no memory of them existed , in a couple thousand years , all the science books will be back in the same form , as the same tests and observations lead to the same results , but religious books would not return in the same form". This is why we believe science rather than religion , because science is evidence based , and it also constantly changes based on new data that is discovered , unlike religion which is stoic in nature. That is the reason why science is the ultimate tool to understand the reality that we live in.

At the same time there isnt any prove to disprove the idea of god in a whole just specific religions. So being athiest is also kinda just a belief. The only real flat out removal of any religion is being agnostic. Which is sinply dayinf i cant disporove or prove. And i really dont care if im right or wrong(btw you can actually believe in any religion and still be agnostic. Its not like athiesm which is a specific thing. The reason we believe in science books, not the Bible, is because the science books were written by people who showed us their research (and it made sense), and the Bible was written by some guy who was trying to figure out how the world around us was made.
