Tatiana, the band's vocalist, is a Pisces. In astrology Pisces is often depicted as two fish swimming together in a circle, much like the symbol for yin and yang, and represents the duel/cyclical nature of the sign. The song lyrics reflect the nature of the Pisces. For instance, the chorus is: "Scale armor belies virgin innocence. One being brings life, the other runs for death." The switch between the clean vocals and the growls demonstrate this duality as well.

Tatiana is an incredibly talented vocalist. Her ability to go from such a deep growl, to a beautiful, smooth, clean vocal is, I think, unprecedented, even in metal. Let's not overlook the rest of the band, though. They are all just CRAZY talented.

Unappreciated and considered to have less talent and skill as other musicians...untill you see bassists like this guy, who is not only playing the bass line, but also playing higher in the register of the guitar to add depth and texture at the same time. Awesome bassist that I must now study to learn how he plays like that.

I love this video for many reasons. They’re a good band overall. The singing is the most obvious but the song wouldn’t be half as good if they weren’t such good musicians together. Plus, none of them are ugly lol

Everyone is performing 100% on this song, I mean top notch. Hard to believe it's a live/session recording. The drums are tight, the bass is great and I love the guitars. But the vocals... just out of this world.

I love the meaning behind the lyrics. It's intended to represent good and evil the clean vocals implying the positive entity and the screams the negative. Definitely read interviews of Tatiana about the songs the band produces because they are heavily meaningful. Dripping in symbolism. The messages put into their lyrics are extremely insightful, philosophic, and profound. Love what you guys do, keep it up and God bless.

For what it's worth, I don't think it's a "sexism thing" and I think it would be unfair for anyone to claim that it could be. Female vocalists able to successfully perform in this way are rare in the heavy metal world as it is, so for those outside that world and perhaps unfamiliar with the style or the small number of female performers able to do it, it's even more surprising to see.
I agree. If a man was growling like her and then transitioned to her clean, feminine vocals it would be equally as shocking.

the musicianship is phenomenal. the guitar is decent and of course tatiana is a total beast on vocals but the drummer and bassist are straight up assassins. theyre world class

He never got to the lyrics though, they are kinda rough. Tati is a Pisces and has also dealt with depression, so very close to home. He just laid out the "biblical" symbolic meaning of the title. I still like Pastor Rob though

Tatiana is singing about herself, her personality, the duality of the character of Pisces. She has made awesome deep lyrics to this song. The musiacians of this Ukrainian metal band Jinjer are also talented...

I’m a believer and I gotta say I really love what you guys are doing representing the metal scene and god at the same time. Your helping open minds that have been closed to by the attacks given by other believers who look to demonize everything in metal. It has cause metal heads to reject the word of god as a result. So you have seen them live too!!! They are so awesome live, saw them in the summer of 2017 at a festival and almost missed them so glad I didn't!!!! Another female fronted band that are awesome live is Infected Rain from Moldova. If you ever have the chance, go and see them you wont regret it.

I don't think I will ever get tired of reactions to this song ! 95% of the times that she hits the "to see the sunlight beam" part..it brings me to tears almost and I'm not sure if it's the power, the words ...it just hits me in the feels pretty hard (I'm a 44 year old man..yeah, my Testosterone levels might not be as high as they once were..but I should be able to control my emotional state better lol).... For me, it probably comes from an overall passion for music that i have, so when i hear such emotion and raw power coming from a vocalist, it gives me chills and it makes me feel genuine emotion. when i heard this song, i became hooked on this band. they're so talented and really deserve the recognition

My first meeting with Jinjer was Pisces, and it has TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND, leaving me SPEACHLESS!!!! And I knew bands like The Agonist, Eths, Walls Of Jericho, OTEP, Iwrestledabearonce etc. Anyway, it has still had an impact on me, big impact! And, somehow, Jinjer is my fav band... As it deserves it (every single member of the band is amazing!).

I love watching people's reactions to hearing Tatiana's voice for the first time. Pastor Rob, you did not disappoint 😂 I recently discovered your channel & I'm really enjoying the content. It's so refreshing to see real discussions around metal from Christians, not the 'holier-than-thou-soapbox-judgements' that are the usual rhetoric. As a fellow believer & long time metalhead, I find your discussions refreshing.
I'll make 3 suggestions from a single band from Finland. The band is Nightwish. The songs are
#1 Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013. #2 The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley Arena. #3 The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere. They're all epic and you will not be disappointed.
First time hearing Jinjer is a fake right to the head followed by a left hook to the belly that lands.

I think the song's approach towards the symbolism of Pisces comes from the babylonic/hellenistic astrology (greco-roman zodiac) instead of the 'abrahamic' interpretation (judaism, islamism, christianism). One thing that gave me a lil clue is that Neptune is mentioned in the lyrics, but the main thing is how the lyrics describe a "typical" pisces' psychological traits (according to those who believe in the zodiac).
I was surprised it took you guys a while to react to this song (since it has become the quintessential song for reaction channels on YT), but it is always worth it watching the Awe in people's faces as the guttural voice kicks in.

@@liamwright4674 She, and the guitarist I believe, wrote the song, and both are pisces (so do I haha). They both say that this is one of their most meaningful songs, both did a lot of introspective work. Like Ximon said, wrote about their psychological traits and how they have affected them. It's a pretty deep song when you read the meaning of it.
As a pisces myself, i felt a connection to this song in some way. Obviously not all of it since it comes from her personal life, but some lines that stuck out and are very relatable to me:

I just saw Jinjer live in Iowa....their live set just BLOWS you away. To see Tatiana do this live....leaves you in awe, speechless. The band plays flawless.

I came across Jinjer and really enjoy reaction videos when I think I know the art/information is surprising... to see peoples' take.. but I LOVE how you talk about faith and God, and fully believe that as you say, God is creator of all things, and in His creation, the truth can always be recognised. The openness you seem to hold for art and inquisitive investigation of His wonderful mystery and all things in it is truly inspiring.

I would like to go to the church you are the pastor for. You have a very open mind and take in all kinds of information. This allows you the ability to preach the word in the way it could be understood to a diverse audience.
Tatiana is a MONSTER vocalist, but in a VERY GOOD WAY. The whole band is amazing, the members of Jinjer are all REALLY talented and very underrated.

One of my top 3 favorite bands. They also recently cane out with a song called “Teacher Teacher” which to me sounds like it’s about a bad religious experience or about religion being forced onto her, the song is outstanding and I think you guys would have a lot to say about it/a lot to talk about it. I would love to see you guys react to it at some point and I’d love to hear what you guys have to say about it.
Definitely second this! As a Christian (whose favorite band happens to be Jinjer!), the song Teacher Teacher was quite an experience. The song is an incredible production, and the lyrics are powerful. They made my heart hurt for Tati, hearing what she (presumably) went through as a child to write those lyrics. I'd be really interested to hear your breakdown!

I loved your reaction! When I binge reactions I usually end up checking out some of yours, and I like your appreciation of all kinds of music. As for the subject of stars, stars form from an accumulation of gas and dust, which collapses due to gravity. The process of a stars formation takes around a million years from the time the initial gas cloud starts to collapse until the star is created. We may hold different beliefs, or lack thereof, but I respect what you do. Thanks for the great content! Oh and by the way, yes, I do get the irony of me being an atheist and my last name is "Faith". Lol!
