Welcome to the JINJER ARMY & many thanx for your reaction and interest in this band..... warm greetings from germany and stay safe and maybe next: Jinjer - Vortex ( official video )
Warm greetings from Texas my friend! My wife and I have spent quite a bit of time in Germany, and we love it there. I hope you're staying safe as well. One of the reasons I waited to react to Jinjer was because I wanted Ricky here to do it with me. He's a uni professor of music, so he helps me identify time signatures and things like that. I hope you hit the subscribe button and stick around the channel.
@@LikeMindedLunatics Jinjer is very technical, which becomes more obvious in other songs. That's typically why especially music geeks nerd out over the band.
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole fellas! You guys are going to love them! Especially Ricky with his musical background! Jinjer is the best band on Earth right now. The music they compose will surprise you every time! Can't wait to see you guys do more of them! They are all self taught musicians, which makes it even cooler considering they are all masters of their craft. Vlad (drummer) is actually a classically trained pianist and taught himself to play drums when the old band he was in needed a new drummer. You guys can actually react to Vlad playing Rachmaninov's "Prelude in C# Minor (Op. 3 No. 2) on the piano. It's pretty cool! Just subscribed and turned on my notifications to see you do more Jinjer!👍
Pisces is the zodiac sign with the two fish swimming in opposite directions, hence the duality themes & aquatic references. Overall this song is basically a personal song about the singer herself. This live session however, is actually a re-recording of an older song, specifically made to show off their (at the time) new drummer, which made the song sound quite a bit different, due to his unique drumming style (he's a classically trained pianist who taught himself to drum for his former band). The majority of the original & early members left very early in the bands history too, but they also went through a lot of drummers, one of which broke his spine in an accident & another wouldn't be able to keep up with their insane touring schedule. Up until 2015 they had two guitarists, but the second guitarist & last founding member of the band left at that time for an acting career. Since then the band is basically a 4 piece band, so they had to change their style a lot and gave the bass a very prominent spot, making him usually very audible within their songs. I'll drop my usual Jinjer recommendations, in case you want to check out more, as this is far from their best song. Official video suggestions: Teacher, Teacher Vortex I Speak Astronomy Cloud Factory Retrospection Wallflower No Hoard Of Value (official lyric video) Home Back Mediator Sit Stay Roll Over Live suggestions: Perennial live at Wacken Who Is Gonna Be The One live On The Top live in Kiev Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev Judgement & Punishment (one take vocal performance) Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest
Great reaction guys. Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Believe me that Eugene, the man on the bass, is NOT the typical bass guitar player. He plays some signature 5 string bass guitars, does a lot of super awesome bass tappings in the Jinjer songs and is the "second guitar" of the band if you know what I mean. A bit like Steve Harris and Iron Maiden. Please react to their music video "TEACHER,TEACHER" and the one take vocal performance of "Judgement&Punishment" if you wanna see Tatianas amazing vocal talent and power. Stay healthy.🤘🤘
Thank you so much. We're glad you enjoyed this reaction. I hope you check out some of our other content, too, and if you like what we're doing, hit the subscribe button. We'll definitely check out more of Jinjer in the future!
Tatiana's lyrics are always poetic and deep. Here she's talking about the duality of the sign Pisces, the fish. She uses a lot of mythological ocean references like "Neptune's child" and "hooks and nets are there for me...". She alludes to the sea creatures being fierce yet vulnerable. Her switch between soft angelic vocals and demonic growls fit the duality perfectly. I think my favorite line is "Under the knives of handsome butchers, emeralds are ripped away." There's a lot going on there.
Being about herself through the lens of her pisces astrology sign, there's a ton of allusions related to that. The two fish in the symbol represent duality, here shown by the two vocal styles. Drowns in liquid gold I think is alcohol though, as Tatiana has said she has (or had in the past, at least) a hard time relaxing without alcohol and pisces have a general reputation for being addiction prone whether deserved or not. When the winter cries I think is that the pisces sign ends at the spring equinox. Perennial is about her chronic depression which gets worse in the winter and was written as a way to remind herself that spring will come and she can make it through. The live at Wacken is performance as epic and has overshadowed the excellent and beautiful video, though some have done double-features with both (nudge-nudge, wink-wink). Subbed. Cheers!
Thanks for the subscription! We're glad you're here! And that's fascinating about the symbolism! One of the things I love about music like this is that there is obviously a meaning to the artist who wrote the lyrics, but the lyrics were written so beautifully, that for someone like us who doesn't know the background of the artist, we can still find meaning in the lyrics.
First of all, let’s recognize the killer skills of the band behind Tatiana. Yes, it is 7/8 time and the drummer’s fills are SICK. And that 5 string bass…😲 Second of all… I am a grown woman who is not gay and has no motivation to be gay. But when I heard this for the first time, she turned ME on, lmao!!! God bless Tatiana! Guys, check out TEACHER TEACHER LIVE. She’s 100% authentic bad-ass.
Folks, in this video, Mark mentions that he and Ricky reacted to Spiritbox. That video hasn't been edited and uploaded yet, so when it goes up, we'll add the card in the video and a link in this comment.
" Pisces represents the fish, sometimes represented by a shark, into which Aphrodite (aka Venus) and her son Eros (aka Cupid) transformed in order to escape the monster Typhon." Yes there are mythological references in this song.
You should listen to their song Teacher Teacher ... Tatiana cannot only switch from growl to clean in one verse but from word to word in a sentence too ;).
Welcome to Jinjer! Hope you will enjoy them as much as we do, they trully are special. I liked your analysis and hope to see some more! They have plenty of great songs to react to. Perennial live at Wacken just to pick a next one.
Thank you! And welcome to our channel! We record things in bulk, so it's usually a little while before we return to a band, but rest assuredly, we'll come back around to Jinjer. I hope you check out some of our other content in the meantime.
Loved this reaction! I really got a great perspective from both of you all on the lyrics and the music. Really enjoy yalls personalities and hope for a million more Jinjer songs! Thanks!
That is the absolute best compliment you could have given us. Thank you. I hope you check out some of our other content and consider subbing to the channel.
Hell yeah man! We're glad you're digging the channel. We try to mix things up as much as we can, so some weeks we dive into new stuff. Other weeks it's old school time. But we're always gonna have a be stage and some fun, so we're glad you're here. 🤘
"Tatianna's does not appear to be doing so.." - there's a perfectly plausible explanation - she's not real. Oh, I love you guys, we got ourselves some connoisseurs' dissection of Jinjer and there's nothing I like more, bring it on. Go to "Perennial LIVE at Wacken 2019" next, check them out live.
Lit majors unite! I have to bring some of that literary criticism to our reactions. I just can't look at a piece of art and not approach it that way. I'm glad you liked this one. I hope you check out some of our other reactions, too!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked out style of reaction. Some reactions we examine the lyrics and symbolism of the video carefully, and other weeks we just have some beers and have fun. I hope you check out some of our other stuff, and if you like what we're doing, hit the subscribe button and stick around.
I already commented but forgot to say why I suggest Teacher Teacher next. Making my case. Its written well and the performance has amazing transitions. The band is so skilled and Tatiana is a beauty and beast.
This was the first time I saw a Reaction-Video from them and what can I say?? Great one and I already love these guys!❤️ Liked & Subscribed! Greetings from Samantha
Teacher Teacher has a lot of bass and guitar mirroring each other as well as Taitiana quick switching between growl and clean. She also does some great transitions on Perrenial. The Live at Wackken in 2019 video is the go to for that. Great in depth reaction. I'll be sure to look at some other stuff.
Thanks! We're glad you liked this video. We try our best to create reactions that are a little more indepth than others out there. Of course, sometimes we just drink beer and have fun, but other times we do a deep dive. I hope you like some of our other content, too!
Very good analysis and reaction. Thank you for spotlighting the lyrics. Besides being a vocal goddess, Tatiana writes the lyrics and she has the soul of a poet and Jinjer explores themes other metal bands do not. Here Pisces is the duality of human nature and the search for love (think of the symbol for Pisces). How the search ends depends on what beam or hook you find. I highly recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken to see both a kick -ass performance and Tatiana's poetry in action.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked our video and our style of reaction. I hope you check out some of our other reaction videos as well. I have to analyze the lyrics because I'm a lit major at heart! Ricky helps me with the music component! We'll definitely check out some of Jinjer's other material.
Late to the party, but this is a great reaction. Nice that you provided a lot of technical info, but still kept it light. Pisces wasn't my first encounter with Jinjer, so I knew about Tatiana's vocals. First time, must be a little like watching a cool little indie movie with a mellow jazz soundtrack, which suddenly turns into a gore-fest horror flick with the heaviest of heavy-metal soundtracks! Great track and a really accomplished, and interesting band.
Thanks! We're glad you liked our reaction. I've also reacted to "Home Back" ua-cam.com/video/aVz9illrMXw/v-deo.html And Ricky and I did another video for "Wallflower" ua-cam.com/video/FNYrw5umxkI/v-deo.html Hopefully you've already hit the sub button and plan on sticking around.
You know what's really trippy? She writes her lyrics in Russian first and then translates them. That's why the lyrics sound so wordy in English. The music itself is universal of course, but she arranges her lyrics to the music in Russian and then somehow in the translation it works. They have a half Russian/half English song called Retrospection. It's easier to hear the contrast there.
I did not know that. That's very cool. I haven't heard "Retrospection" so I'll check that one out. Thanks for that little bit of trivia, and thanks for checking out our video.
Every Jinjer first time reaction is priceless. Everyone is always like... Please hold... Full system reset pushing eyes back into sockets and retracting tongue off of floor. Now must listen again to make sure what i heard wasn't an illusion 😂😂😂
Y'all will enjoy Jinjer. They are a musician's group. They are all amazingly talented with influences from so many genres, their music is a weird artform in itself. No two songs are built alike.
They were so fucking amazing live, just saw them in October of '21. Tati and the rest of band, are all amazing musicians. Played 15 songs straight through and sounded amazing the entire time.
Nice reaction and a good jumping off point for a jinjer journey .They all just get better from here. I would recommend "Perennial ", "Teacher Teacher", "Home Back" and "I Speak Astronomy" as must see videos. Tatiana's one take vocal performance of "Judgment and Punishment" is amazing as well. Welcome to the wonderful world of Jinjer. Just be ready for the army, we are loyal and many.
8:06 I did this kind of vocalization on the road for 13 years. There's a healthy way to do it, and a damaging way. If you see red face, chords sticking out on the neck, or other visible strain, the performer is damaging their vocal folds to produce this voice and it's not sustainable in the long run. That said, a singer who is using healthy technique might intentionally add signs of strain for theatrical effect, since it is visually discordant to see no strain on someone making that kind of voice. I think the difference you're noting might be theatrical choices, or the other singer you're referencing was blowing out their voice. I can definitely say that most touring musicians have nights like that, they know the "right way" to do it but you're a little drunk or extra hyped and let go of the control, pay for it the next day.
That's very cool. Thanks for providing us with some insight! "but you're a little drunk or extra hyped and let go of the control, pay for it the next day." I would not have the self-control to not get too hyped (or drunk). I'd probably have the voice for maybe a week and a half before I wrecked it.
They're one of the most talented bands around, across any genre. Please try their live performances: Who's Gonna Be The One Perennial at Wacken Pit of Conciousness in Kiev You won't be disappointed.
New sub here from the JINJER ARMY in Texas!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Love the insight from both literature and musicality y’all brought to this reaction. I’ve seen many reactions to this song and this is one of my favs. Can’t wait to see y’all check out more of this incredible band. My fav song of theirs is Teacher, Teacher. I do love others as well, such as Perennial (Live at Wacken 2019), Vortex, Who Is Gonna Be the One (Live), Judgment and Punishment (One Take Vocal), I Speak Astronomy, and many others.
Hey, another Texas boy! How's it going man? Thanks for checking this one out, we'll definitely check out more of Jinjer in the future. I hope you've hit the subscribe button and stick around. And I don't know where you're at in Texas, but we also have a T.V. show that airs every Friday night at 10:00PM on Austin Music TV. Here are all the ways you can watch: Broadcasting on Austin Music TV/Austin Public Channel 16: ATX Spectrum, Grande, AT&T U-verse Channel 99, Roku App, Apple TV App, Amazon Fire TV (search Austin Public). And if you watch using this URL, you can chat with us during the show: supportaustinmusic.com/channel-16/
H-Town representing! My wife is from the Golden Triangle area, so we know Houston pretty well! Thanks man! You have a good one too! And this Friday's LML show is a fun one, so I hope to see you in the chat box havin' a beer with us!
Warm welcome to the Jinjer family! Loved the video, was fun listening to you breaking down the whole song so keep it up! Can't wait to see you guys dig deeper in the Jinjer rabbit hole. I'd say you should check out their live performance (at Wacken) of the song "Perennial" -but i assume a bunch of people recommended it already.
Ha! I'm so torn on that. On one hand, I'm right there with you. I want artists to take chances and swing for the fences. On the other hand, there's something comforting about predictable music. Like, if I have a bad day, AC/DC is like a healing salve. I know exactly what to expect, and that's what I need!
Yes. Bands do need a predictable baseline quality. If not I usually don't follow them for very long. There are groups I listen to because I know what I'm going to get from them. I guess I'm saying that I'm glad that there are bands that give me something different to experience and test my musical appreciation.
I completely agree with you! That's one of the reasons on the channel we regularly look at new stuff, and try to explore the regions of the new! But sometimes, I just wanna hear Joan Jett or Metallica! Thanks for checking this one out! We hope you look at some of our other stuff, too!
An interesting analysis of a simple song from Jinjer. I would like to hear an analysis of a more complex song. JINJER - Teacher, Teacher! (Official Video)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked this one. We typically film large blocks well in advance, so it will be a bit before we come back around to Jinjer because we have quite a few videos queued up. But rest assured, we'll do more reactions to Jinjer in the future. I hope you check out some of our other videos in the meantime!
Really cool reaction. I think the story behind lyrics was the double personality of being a Pisces in the zodiac. Defo should do more of jinjer, would recommend the live version of perennial, the teacher teacher official video and vortex. Happy listening :)
Thanks! We're glad you liked this video. We'll for sure come back around to Jinjer in the future, but until then, I hope you check out some of our other videos and consider hitting the subscribe button and sticking around.
Well done. Their native language is Russian, and Tatiana writes the lyrics first in Russian, and then translates to English. I hope you guys continue your journey down the Jinjer Rabbit hole.
Thank you so much. We had a great time recording this video, and we'll for sure return to Jinjer on the channel. I hope you check out some of our other content as well.
I have read that their drummer started as a classic pianist and then taught himself drums just based on his other musical knowledge. True or not, he is amazing
I have heard this song many times and seen reactions many times...it just occurred to me what the initial feeling upon watching the video feels like the first time...the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster...Its effects are similar to "having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick."
@@LikeMindedLunatics I didn't major in it or anything, but I as I grew up out in the hill country in the 70s and 80s with no TV, I read, a LOT. My parents had an extensive library. I'd read the classics by junior high: Tolkien (including the Silmarillion) in elementary. Just the intelligence of that observation got ya a sub from me lol.
That was me, too! I grew up on a dairy farm in the middle of nowhere, and we could barely pick up the local network channels. Mom would drive me into the nearest town and I'd check out as many books as they'd let me. Some of our videos are just us having fun, but others I dive deep into. If you liked this one, you might check out my reaction to Deftones "Ceremony" ua-cam.com/video/0b_-JKRjmzY/v-deo.html And my reaction to Pretty Reckless "Only Love Can Save Me Now" ua-cam.com/video/9fmg8Oenjzg/v-deo.html I do deep dives into a lot of others, but those two are great jumping off points. And thanks for subbing! We're glad you're here!
Is their chief weapon surprise? Fear and surprise....their TWO chief weapons: fear and surprise and ruthless efficiencyTHREE! Their three chief weapons are fear and surprise and ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical devotion to metal? FOUR! Their FOUR chief weapons are fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical devotion to metal?
Totally agree. Live Oak is one of my favorite breweries here in the town. I'm super-bummed about Adlebert's closing though! I love their stuff! And thanks for checking out our video. We also have a T.V. show that air every Friday at 10PM CST on Austin Music TV. All the info is in the description of our videos.
Y'all need to sit down. Haha rocking around standing looks so silly. Love the reaction though. Jinjer reactions is a weekly past time for me the last 3 years
Pit of Conciousness- live in Kiev That will show you Tatiana and the band at peak performance. Also, they are one of those bands that sound better live than most recorded songs.
I like how when she started vocal fry Ricky IMMEDIATELY planted his feet. Same as Tati does to sing her powerful bits, same as any vocal coach would tell you to do when singing that kind of powerful vocal.
Whatch thier live performance, she switches from cleans to growls REALLY good and when this woman growls live I feel like the Balrog from hell is coming! The hole band is just SOO talented, one of my favorit bans of all time!
This video was made to actually showcase the drummer because it was the new drummer at that time. The studio version with the old drummer is very different specially a lot less ghost notes
This is 100% Tatiana and they are amazing live. Not live videos but live in concert. Also, you guys are awesome! Glad I came across this. Have you guys delved into any Band Maid yet? Highly recommend.
Thank you! We're glad you liked our video! I hope you check out some of our other reactions as well. We have not reacted to Band Maid yet, but they're on our list. Ricky and I live in different cities, so we typically record a bunch of reactions all in one go when we get together. We have Band Maid on the list to do next. I hope you hit the subscribe button if you haven't already and stick around.
Great reaction, lots of cool insights, guys! Great job! Teacher, Teacher is another great one by this band. I see that you've reacted to a Nightwish song before, but Ghost Love Score (very specifically: live at Wacken) would be great if you haven't seen it before. Cheers!
Thanks! We're glad you liked our video. I hope you check out some of our other content, too! We usually bounce around, but we'll return to both Nightwish and Jinjer in the future. We had too much fun not to!
Hi guys, great reaction! You might also like Nightwish a lot, both musically interesting and lyrically. ghost love score live at wacken in 2013 is where most start.
Wow. Awesome. I think you might have nailed the meaning or story. Totally makes sense and makes me now want to really investigate the biblical side of it. Well done.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked this one! I hope you check out some of our other content, too. Ricky is a professor of music, and I'm a professor of composition, and we try to bring some of that background into our reactions. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Ricky and Mark! I just found your channel, great reaction, subbed! I loved that with the two of you, you dig into both the musical complexity and the lyrics! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and beautiful growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces in 2020, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wakeup alarm for the past year or so and I still love it more every time I hear it). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣 I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.” The four current members have essentially no musical training except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. They've been a tour heavy band, on the road almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020, hard work that has made them fantastic live and they make it look effortless. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first four videos are out for Vortex, Mediator, Wallflower and Disclosure! Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see former Jinjer guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, on guitar in older Jinjer videos, and acting as an interrogator in their latest video, Disclosure! One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines her beautiful growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: hope you'll keep trying more Jinjer and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘
Thank you so much! We're glad to have you as a sub! As a super fan, I'm glad you liked our reaction! And thank you for all the info! We definitely plan on returning to Jinjer in the future! We mix it up here on the channel, and we have a lot of stuff already filmed and in the works, so I hope you check out some of our other content as well!
If you want to see more code switching checking out Jinjer - Perenial Live at Wacken, Jinjer - Teacher Teacher (Official Video), Jinjer - Who is gonna be the one (live), and Jinjer - Pit of consciousness (live in kiev)
So Tatiana's growls are interesting. She practiced and practiced to sound like a male vocalist, which is uncommon even for women who do harsh vocals. I'm sure that all that time helped her find not only the sound she wanted but a way to produce that sound in a comfortable/safe way. So it comes down to whether or not she wants to make the expressions aggressive or relaxed.
One of the members of Jinjer posted a video from Ukraine. ua-cam.com/video/MKs_gVgcfM4/v-deo.html
Thank you for letting us know. I'm going to pin your comment to the top.

The thing that really gets me with her, is her control and manipulation of vowels. Just an absolute magician with her vowels.
I have been involved with music for over 50 years and have been a musician for 40 years, and when I heard Jinjer for the first time a few years ago, I knew something extraordinary was happening and I was right, Jinjer has 4 world-class musicians, extraordinary lyrics, and how they compose their songs with all the tempo changes etc...............
first they arrange the songs instrumentally, then Tati writes the lyrics in russian, translates them into english and does all the melodies etc. I personally don't understand how this is possible with such complex music...?????...?????

You guys can actually react to Vlad playing Rachmaninov's "Prelude in C# Minor (Op. 3 No. 2) on the piano. It's pretty cool! Just subscribed and turned on my notifications to see you do more Jinjer!👍
And above all, they nail it live. Seen them a few times and they never disappointed.
I do like you
Pisces is the zodiac sign with the two fish swimming in opposite directions, hence the duality themes & aquatic references.

13:09 is probably the most underrated part of this song, her highs are incredible
My new hobby: watching reactions on Jinjer!
Jinjer is the 🐐..they have 20 or more songs that will blow you away
It always makes my day when i find a new reaction video for pisces.
Tatiana is absolutely amazing.
4 piece band and they are skilled they make it feel so full musically
I am sure that the beautiful quality of her growls just adds to the resonance of her straight vocals.
Pisces is a dual sign. Two fish swimming in opposing directions, explaining the duality of the two opposing sides of the pisces personality.
Yeah the lyrics are fantastic. We had a great time reacting to this one.
Check out anything live you’ll be convinced .The more you listen to them you’ll notice how each one of them compliments each other.
Welcome to Jinjer. Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well
come on, lets have more requests. we need more Jinjer
Such a great song. I liked your reaction! Looking forward to more reactions from you two. Keep it up!
Thank you so much! We've got a lot of videos already up, and we usually post two a week! We hope you enjoy those, too!
Jinjer lyrics are important to Tatiana and usually written at the last minute and after the music is developed.
First of all, let’s recognize the killer skills of the band behind Tatiana. Yes, it is 7/8 time and the drummer’s fills are SICK. And that 5 string bass…😲
Second of all… I am a grown woman who is not gay and has no motivation to be gay.
Another live performance to see is Perennial live at Wacken. See how she switches her vocals on the fky.
I will never end getting a chill down my back when I hear that song.
Loved this reaction! I really got a great perspective from both of you all on the lyrics and the music. Really enjoy yalls personalities and hope for a million more Jinjer songs! Thanks!
I love reactions with content and analysis!
LOVE your take. Jinjer is 💜
Man I really feel like I could be throwing back a couple of brewskis with you guys and geeking out over nerdy things and music for hours.
That is the absolute best compliment you could have given us. Thank you. I hope you check out some of our other content and consider subbing to the channel.
Cool react like the dual analysis of music and lyrics. Jinjer is an extraordinary band
Damn man, you guys did the Warning and now Jinjer. Great channel for discovering things in a new way. Keep em coming gents!
Thanks! We're glad you liked our reaction! I hope you check out some of our other content, too!
The first time I see a reaction from you. I loved it. I follow them :)
Thank you! We're glad you liked our reaction.
fellow English major, and also a musician! Love this band, and love the thought that went into this reaction. Subscribed :)
Lit majors unite! I have to bring some of that literary criticism to our reactions. I just can't look at a piece of art and not approach it that way. I'm glad you liked this one. I hope you check out some of our other reactions, too!
If you want to see her do all that live watch their video "Perennial" Live at the Wacken festival.
The switch into the high vocals at the end was a switch from singing in a chest voice to belting in mixed voice.
My new favorite hobby is watching people react to Jinger for the first time 😂
Just found you guys! Jinjer is incredible - judgement and punishment 1 take live is incredible!!!
Thank you! We're glad you found us, too!
The lyrics are about the Duality of the astrological sign of pisces.
First time watching you guys and immediately liked you.
Great one and I already love these guys!❤️
Liked & Subscribed! Greetings from Samantha
Thank you! We're glad you liked this video! Greetings from the LML Crew!
This song was Vlad's first time recording with Jinjer. This song was to showcase his playing ability
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole! You next need to react to “JINJER - Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019)”
And welcome to our channel! We hope you check out some of our other content!
I've also reacted to "Home Back" ua-cam.com/video/aVz9illrMXw/v-deo.html
And Ricky and I did another video for "Wallflower" ua-cam.com/video/FNYrw5umxkI/v-deo.html

Judgement and punishment the one take video is a GREAT one to check out from Her !!
I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. That is really inteesting. It does work and explains why their lyrics are so unique.
Lyrically, small hint will be to see the attributes of astrology Pisces sign, keep checking Jinjer, great reaction!

@@LikeMindedLunatics Thanx, I will!
Tatiana wins every argument she gets in to!
They were so fucking amazing live, just saw them in October of '21. Tati and the rest of band, are all amazing musicians. Played 15 songs straight through and sounded amazing the entire time.
Oh that's great to hear! We have tickets to Aftershock and they're on the lineup, so I hope we get to see them, too.
Thank you! We're glad you liked this reaction. I hope you check out some of our other content as well.
"but you're a little drunk or extra hyped and let go of the control, pay for it the next day."
I would not have the self-control to not get too hyped (or drunk). I'd probably have the voice for maybe a week and a half before I wrecked it.
They're one of the most talented bands around, across any genre. Please try their live performances: Who's Gonna Be The One

As a music lover, I love bands that bring something unexpected and unique. Nothing worse than predictable music.
Perennial live @Wacken next, it will give you a much better idea of the bands musicianship, and her prowess
Really cool reaction. I think the story behind lyrics was the double personality of being a Pisces in the zodiac. Defo should do more of jinjer, would recommend the live version of perennial, the teacher teacher official video and vortex. Happy listening :)

no, she writes directly in english
@@autemniaequinoctius2030 That is not correct. I have seen interviews where Tatiana has said that she writes it in Russian first.
I have read that their drummer started as a classic pianist and then taught himself drums just based on his other musical knowledge. True or not, he is amazing
That's true

I saw them live Dec 5 in New Orleans. Yeah she can do this live. That's her and she's self-taught.
I have heard this song many times and seen reactions many times...it just occurred to me what the initial feeling upon watching the video feels like the first time...the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster...Its effects are similar to "having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick."
Any reference to Douglas Adams gets a heart from us! That's a fantastic comparison!

I like how when she started vocal fry Ricky IMMEDIATELY planted his feet.
Same as Tati does to sing her powerful bits, same as any vocal coach would tell you to do when singing that kind of powerful vocal.

TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.”
The four current members have essentially no musical training except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano.
Neptunes child refers to a fish I believe. Drowning in liquid gold is when the fish is out of water in sunlight
