Ms Ginaaaaa & Isis!! These here products for my locs!!!!! Let me tell you - THEY ARE AWESOME! I am 6 yrs loc'd, a former cosmetologist and maintain my own loc via interlocking. I was recently searching for shampoo (and maybe conditioner?) to soften up the locs in the back of my head. All summer of 2023, I slept w/o anything on them & by winter they felt like tree bark, LOL. However, I just got my Loc'd Care Kit Friday & could hardly wait to try them Saturday. I pre-pooed & shampooed and I tell you the truth, after gently squeezing the excess water, I did not even have to use a towel!! My hair felt SUPER DUPER MOISTURIZED! I used the conditioner as a leave-in, the grooming oil & then the pomade. The whole experience was HEAVENLY!!!!! Hardly no frizz and smells DIVINE. THANK-YOU for sharing your knowledge! And shout out to my SPELMAN sis..I finished in 1989.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! After allll these years of watching loc videos…you are THE FIRST to confirm what I knew when people say their hair is growing away from the loc. It’s the direction they twist their hair that isn’t natural! You earned a subscriber and you are the first UA-camr hair products I will try…good job!

@@thehouseofisisco Yup, I have ordered and tried your shampoo, mist, and loc conditioner. My baby locs are no longer dry. But a few unraveled but I just retwisted them up. Great products you have! I have blonde straight hair and this has helped a lot. Im doing semi freeforms and 9 months in. The whole time Ive been twisting both sides clockwise. I realixed my hair wants to curl into the way that you have shown. It also made my hair look uneven when doing all my locs in the same direction. Thank you for this
I am so glad I just happen to watch your video on UA-cam. I have had my locs a little over 5 years. They are long and my locs were starting to feel heavy. First I was doing my retwists wrong. I did what you said in the video. My locs do not feel heavy any more. My locs feel light and soft. Thank you so much for the great video. Paula😊
Follow-up questions: am I to change the original direction of my existing locs? Should we also switch direction every so often to avoid what you mentioned? I figure constantly having them face each other can eventually cause damage as well, no? If so, how often should we change direction? Thank you!
@@theugochi hello we are so glad you found this video to be helpful 🙏🏾. Retwisting is based on preference of the neatness you may or may not prefer! However shampooing weekly is key. Retwsiting can be done every two weeks based on your preference! If you have any other questions please feel free to book a 101 consultation with me! I reach with my own locks, started my own locks and have never had anybody touch my locks. I'm going to start using this method but as far as all of the shea butters and olive oils that's a no-go. I don't care if you say there's no buildup there is build up and that's just science. If there's no buildup there's got to be a serious clarifying shampoo used too often.
Hi There! When shea butter is combined with ingredients like vegetable glycerin and not beeswax or gels it has the ability to penetrate the hair shaft, not sit on top, allowing you hair to receive the nutrients it needs. Therefore, no buildup on the scalp will occur. I'll have to make a video explaining more
Great video i must say that i love your passion you have for your craft. Let me add that persons with scalp eczema and psoriasis those products can worsen their scalp condition.
Yes our shampoo will remove buildup and help with your grey hair because it’s dye free and doesn’t contain harsh detergents. Our conditioner would be great for you as well because it’s white Shea based so doesn’t discolor your Greys! Retwisting can be done bi-weekly or monthly! It’s your preference just make sure to separate locs on wash days to avoid them from marrying together
Question I have been struggling with my retwist lasting do you think it’s ok that it doesn’t last long? Like even if it doesn’t last long is my hair still locing up
Yes that’s ok! Locs should be shampooed weekly to promote good scalp health, growth which ultimately helps your locs to mature faster. So don’t worry about your retwist lasting weeks on end 😇
It really is a game changer! You can grab it here: houseofisis.co/products/loc-d-shampoo?_pos=2&_psq=shampoo&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Use my code: MRSGINA to save 15% on your purchase 💚💚
Hello in my video I’m not suggesting retwisiting all to the right either. I’m training the locs to meet in the middle/ center of the head. so the locs on the left side coming into middle, locs on the right being brought into the middle. This brings the locs off the face the way in which your hair naturally grows. So depending on how far in your journey you are you may be able to correct them. I recommend booking a 101 virtual loc consultation with me so that i can assess and guide you in the right direction for your loc journey. You can book here: calendly.com/houseofisisco
Is your conditioner good for all hair types ? My locs are not the same as black hair. My Xs hair needs different product and my kids need different from me and him. But yours sounds like it has everything in it my hair needs. My locs are so so dry ..... Only the scalp is soft. 😢.... I even cut 6 inches off because of it. I don't want to cut my locs. They are mostly freeformed and they mean so much to me 🙏🏼❤. Your daughters hair is amazing. I strive for that health
I've seen where a couple of posters asked the same question, but I am not clear on the answer. If a loc was started in one direction, is it okay to change the direction when retwisting that loc?
Is there another moisturizer option without shea butter or tea tree? I’m severely allergic to those two products & it’s hard to find products I can use. I have sisterlocs so I don’t use product, but I will be locking my son/youngest daughter’s hair soon! I want to be sure we have the right products for them.
Greetings love! I can definitely help you to correct correct your locs from bunching! I do virtual loc consultations and my link to book is here: calendly.com/houseofisisco
So did I. I haven't used much product because of fear of build-up. My hair would stay lacking. I remembered when I was using a relaxer, my hair would drink IT up. Now I feel comfortable giving MY thirsty hair what it needs! LOL
Hi, A dryer is not necessary, but please be sure to fully attempt to dry your hair (whether air dried or with a blow dryer) as locs can hold mold when not properly dried
Ms. Gina! I’m seriously trying to figure out…where do I know you and your daughter from? Where you ladies business located if you don’t mind me asking?
if retwisting at home with no form of blow dryer, are locs able to air dry well enough to ensure all product is absorbed, etc.? (or is there a better alternative?) would want to make sure the style is set in enough before removing any clips! i know you said about 30 mins under the dryer, but if one wasn't accessible how long would be best to keep the clips in/for the roots to dry completely? thank you so much!! ♡ you are both absolutely radiant, love your energy!
Hi Love! the great thing about our products is it doesn't need a dryer for them to melt or penetrate the hair shaft. It does this alone with your body heat. So, if no dryer is present air drying is fine, you don't need to the let the clips sit for too long but please be sure to air dry well and because locs can hold mold if not properly dry.
Great question! When shea butter is combined with ingredients like vegetable glycerin and not beeswax or gels it has the ability to penetrate the hair shaft, not sit on top, allowing you hair to receive the nutrients it needs. Therefore, no buildup on the scalp will occur. I'll have to make a video explaining more😇
For a long time I let people without hair lie to me and tell me wrong things about locs like “ there is no need to condition and moisturize your loc tips only the root’ that was misinformation cause the loc needs moisture from the root throughout to maintain solid locs over time
You’re absolutely right! Locs need moisture and hydration however the type of conditioner definitely matters because you don’t want buildup! That’s why we created our Loc’d conditioner specifically for Locs! It penetrates the locs delivering moisture without creating buildup😇
If this is causing the hair to grow away...Why does it grow away on the whole head and not just half? Also... Ive never seen consistently lopsided locs so this theory may need some more work.
