In a jcole voice “who told you dat , who gave you that piece of information?” bro you legit got every detail to my loc journey !down to last minute detail .
I wanted locs for the longest, stopped cutting my hair and using any products for a while. I was going to do them myself, but I am not good with hair. One day I realized my hair was doing it on its own and I KEPT COMBING AND WASHING THEM OUT. Literally the moment I sat down and took a good loving look at my hair I realized I was already getting what I wanted but stigma, and all types of other anti-blackness led me to think it was wrong. Everything clicked that day. This has been such a freeing journey and I can't wait to see how they progress
new growth comin in and messin up the party? hell nah man new growth is allowing you to still have the party even though the main locks are almost finished. growing changing locks are the most precious stages
one of the best freeform locs ive ever seen , following you from the start of your journey to now has been great and seeing your crown flourishing now is even better . Big ups big bro.
Im 3years in and loving it, I also believe that our locks are always in an different stage. Our roots are continuing to grow and its starts the process all over again ☺️👌🏾🤷🏾
Im at 4 month’s my hair is already long and my hair texture is very soft so I have crazy shrinkage 😢, but we hanging in there , I remember watching you since day 1 you had a small fro and you were showing your first set ( think they were a blonde ish color ) pretty cool how your second set is different from the first set !
Damn congrats on two yrs 🥳🥳👏. I been watching since day one and I'm on the "Ugly Phase" 😅. I would really like to see a time laspe video though of your loc journey from day 1😊. ❤❤❤🔥
I liked that he mentioned gestation period around 6:05 because it really seems like it takes as long as pregnancy to get the locks going. I might have started my freeform journey a month ago with minimal combing and only afro styles. May or may not be 2 months pregnant so I'll have 2 things to look out for early in 2025! ❤🎉
This is my 15th time of watching this video for motivation in the next 3 years ... im not cuting nor combing my hair again I'm 4 months in and going Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬 domi
Im at 6 months semi free form now that im 6 months im able to wash my hair without unraveling and its amazing so now i wash it twice a month and my locs got even tighter love it
I’m glad to be starting my Freeform journey again just cut my old dreads they w We’re wrapped up in so much human hair it was so heavy my soul is telling me to Freeform idk I’m happy plus bro your locks are fire asfff
It's interesting. I had a huge fro and was not ready for my freeform journey. So I twisted poked and prodded ended up cutting them off And I started my freeform journey a year and a half ago from here there was about a half inch long. I c hair and it's been such a dope journey so far. I have some that are clumping together. Something that seem like they'll end up being flat. Some aren't locking it all. Some look like they went to a lactician. I don't separate them. I washed them when they needed. I dry them how I would just dry hair. Sometimes I wrap it. Other times I use a hair dryer. And then other times I just go about my day and let the air take care of it. I'm just going on a 100% free form journey. And it's great!. That day you wake up and you gently notice that two or three minis are connecting at the base. It's like a cookout and all the neighbors are hanging out. Embrace the journey
How do you feel about daily rinses (under showerhead)? Or just spray bottle daily? I currently do showerhead rinses (with cool water) and spray with sea salt water after. I shampoo once a week with Ginger shampoo bar.
when i was a kid, my hair would naturally lock and i was obsessed with twisting it. parents told me it was bad and to stop. i coulda been had the craziest free formies by now 😂 starting now at 27 tho
Idk if I'm in the 3 month or 6 month phase (I have to look back in my gallery). I second guess my shit, but everyone says it looks good. I just stopped "wet towel" twisting every morning & doing it about 2x a week for definition. My rear is raggedy so I gotta invest in the silk pillowcase
I need some advice, help or something, I started using that bow wow kiss care or whatever that thing was, back in December...in my first year of freeforms, its Jan my hair has thinned out.. like I'm in my first month. How can I get my hair where it used to be, it's like it's not even growing anymore HELLLLPPPPPPP
Im semi freeforming i started out fully freeform for 6 months ago about 3 weeks ago i got them retwisted but imma try go as long as possible without a retwist

We’re wrapped up in so much human hair it was so heavy my soul is telling me to Freeform idk I’m happy plus bro your locks are fire asfff
I wore a durag through my journey and it made free-forms grow vertically. Even at longer length
I try to wear one, but it's always too tight or too loose for me to use in my sleep
Great video, I'm semi freeform, I don't re-twist but I do separate, I'm 3 years locd!
Great information

Thanks for this. Am at that point where am just going to wake up bold one day because my mother threatens to cut my hair in my sleep all the time.

Hey man I'm 15 years old and I'm getting free form dreads and I would love some advice for them because the back of my head is a rats nest.
Georgeous locs ❤❤❤

Cut off my locs cuz I wanted free form.. Day 3 of Freeform regretting my life decisions 😂
I need some advice, help or something, I started using that bow wow kiss care or whatever that thing was, back in December...in my first year of freeforms, its Jan my hair has thinned out.. like I'm in my first month. Im semi freeforming i started out fully freeform for 6 months ago about 3 weeks ago i got them retwisted but imma try go as long as possible without a retwist
domi looks like the weekday
Hey i have a question i have been semi freeforming for 4 months and thinking about whenther i should get a retwist or let it grow?
Basquiat
Dude in two weeks I dead ass hit stage 3??? I have like 20 baby locks. Maybe because I’m free forming but it scared me
Can I shower in my hair on a daily basis
I’m at 6 months now when did you start doing ACV rinses ?
wish i didn’t pull out my congos
bro caught me in 4k in the 5 month stage
Damn whats the Jam in the background?
When should you start to separate them? Because I'm in year 3 and they haven't fallen yet because theyre all connected (I did high top free forms)
i wanna freeform but i’m scared honestly
Fuck it i’m doing it
I have huge matting on the sides of my head, should i detangle?
I'm on stage 3.
So my hair is about ten inches long no locking just fro would you say I start same way just washing and air drying till my fro starts to
Lock?
Literally bro that's it, obviously it's easier to start when it short but when you're hairs long just keep a good wash schedule and your good
Trying freeform I’m month in and just noticed bald spot
I just started July 12th 2024
💯💯
How shoes I sleep .. facing up or facing down because facing up messes up the back of the hair
There is nothing you can do about that , part of the journey , I spray water and lightly scrub , back to normal
Let’s go new video
Really appreciate the detail - just scoping out what these could like down the line
it's has been like 8 months and I feel stuck on the ugly duckling stage, but I'm starting to like it, lol.
