I thought washing your hair (especially dreads) everyday wasn’t good cuz you’re stripping your scalp of it’s natural oils. Can you or someone else explain? I’m just curious

I think that is true, everyday is too much but he is always experimenting with his locks to learn and share that knowledge with us :)
Its not good for the hair/scalp causes thinning on the hair. I can’t speak for all hair types but it you are melanated you don’t want to wash everyday at all.

The entire nape of my neck and loads of the back of my head is basically all combined at this point I keep putting it off but I’m gonna have to deal with it eventually and I am going to be crying by the end 😭
I didn’t retwist for 4 months. I had really matted sections and mega dreds but a little bit of patience and conditioner went a really long way. Then I retwisted the hair that was away from the lox and interlocked the new growth so then it would last well.
I had a lot of build up from the lint though so I recommend doing some type of detox

For freeform jus wash whenever u like let ‘em flow and b free jus let ur hair do its thing
As someone who has been unintentionally free forming just as a result of travelling for the past half year in Asia you don’t have to anything at all, wash as little or as much as you’d like if you aren’t retwisting it’s just going to do whatever it wants regardless

I never knew my 3c hair could have small sections till I watched your new dread transformation video since we have the same hair texture. I started out with 36 locs 2 days later watched your video and now I’m in the process of splitting them rn, currently passed 60 and I’m actually happy about how these look so far. I got a hightop set but been growing my side out for a couple months to reattach old dreads to the new 🤙🏾 you really inspired me to experiment on my own dreads and to enjoy the process thank you

Just be aware to not ACTUALLY break your locs and/or try to use scissors to separate most (or all) of your locs. If your hairs are to the straight side, it will be a bit easy. Just be cautious, and it will all be easy 😊

@@Keyyondrea that’s not bad but get a retwist soon tho but like I wouldn’t go another month or 2 I would get a retwist between now 1-2 months from now but getting retwist super often like every 2 weeks to every month is bad on ur scalp it causes a lot of tension and could cause alopecia so I think u should be getting retwists every 2-3 months
