It's amazing to me how much chemistry Will has with all the different people he meets. What a people person, makes all the videos such a joy to watch, always radiating positive energy.
Will's videos on deadlift made me overcome a fear of doing them. Was afraid of hurting my back, but seeing how he was so excited to try them inspired me to at least try them. Now I'm happy almost every time during deadlifts, barely holding my consciousness:3 My back started to feel much better actually. Will showed me that it's always great to learn something new at the gym, which could potentially make you better, and overcoming yourself is almost the greatest feel in the world
I've been hitting PR after PR with deadlifts, squats, and pretty much all lifts lately. Doing more weight than i ever imagined i would. And I always thought it would be terrible for my back, but I'm very strict about form, and I never had a back injury in the gym. Was on vacation last week, and a waiter yelled out because my wife left her sunglasses at the table. As I was walking away I hear him, and turn around quickly to see what was going on. And....boom, lower back injury. Deadlifting 460 = no back injury. Turning around on vacation = advil city. My point is that you can hurt your back doing anything. Strengthening your back with good form lifts is only going to help you. My back is good to go now, just a few days of tightness/soreness, and I imagine if i didn't have the back muscle that it would have taken a lot longer to recover.
Been here since like 80,000 views a vid. I've watched you grow from your before u showed ur sub count to 1.74 mill. Always new you were gonna blow up. Each vid brings genuine joy to millions. Good shit G
Was waiting for this vid to finally drop. Saw on an insta post that Will was spotting John in this gym over a month ago, surprised that it took so long for this video to emerge.
You get this all the time Will, but legitimately, thank you for these videos. I watch them in the morning, at work when on break and even during my gym sessions to just get that little kick boost before letting discipline take hold. Going consistently to the gym 3-4 times a week the past 5 months and I've gone down from 105kg to 100kg. Still a long path to go, but deadlift PR currently stands at 170kg and I aim to get it to the elusive 200kg that I have been aiming for for years. Thanks Will!
This is reminding me that I really love lifting heavy-ass weights, especially with my friends, and I'm realising I don't wanna faff about trying to be lean and show off my physique a bunch or waste time not getting better. It doesn't matter if I'm at as much as the low 20% mark. What matters is being healthy, strong, and lifting like this!
That was a strong comeback on the deadlift. I thought it was over on the next to last one, (bar away from your body, back rounded), but you fixed that on the finish. Good video, keep posting!
Glad to see what years of dedication gets you. You seem better these days even more so from when I first started following you last year. Currently I’m just trying to maintain 225 but it’s crazy how even though I’ve weighed the same for about 5 months now, the various compliments I get of looking healthier(thinner) and their reactions to learning that I still weigh 225 is fun. 😅
I just started my fitness journey (again) last December. And right now I can only deadlift 100lbs. Seeing this video inspired me to be better. Thanks Will! Hopefully I can be like you in the future 😅
Hey Will, I dont know if you are going to read this but before finding your channel from a friend, I was pretty slim and not really muscular, been picked on for being too skinny and shit but after finding you out I have been going to the gym more and more and definitely have gotten bigger, I started about 2 weeks ago and have gained almost 20 pounds, I am 16 years old and am growing stronger day by day, Thank you and love you man
Today I hit 295 pounds(134kg). Started my journey at 317 pounds(144kg). This content motivated me even more to succeed my goal. Thanks for the good videos! Keep it up!
Not really though. Those are all expected lifts for a natty who's trained properly as long as him. Very strong still. Outliers bench 4+ plates, squat 6+ plates and deadlift 7+ plates natty.
Congrats for being able to push yourself further! On another note though, I came to realize that the BGM starting from 11:25 is from Stardew Valley during the winter. Not sure if Will is familiar with the game.
Why you convert kg in pounds and then convert them back so you got wrong numbers. You have kg plates kg bars and then write incorrect uneven numbers in the video 😅 that really throws me off
Great fun Will! I would love to see Will teach these lifts based on everything he's learned over the years and demonstrate the impact good and bad form can have.
I've always thought of Will as more of a performance based lifter, not just some mirror selfie poser. I'd love to see what his potential is in powerlifting!
Came across one of your videos the other day and have been binge watching them for 3 days at work. Not only are you f'ing hilarious, you also impart some excellent information. I'm 57, have been a cop for 36 years, and still find time to work out 5 days a week in my home gym, even as I take care of 4 crotch goblins ranging in age from 4-10 while my wife is at work . Speaking of, how about a video on the wise use of that spare time between sets? I use that 30-90 seconds between sets to wash dishes, 1 or 2 at a time, fold laundry, 2-3 pieces at a time, fix dinner for 4 kids plus my post workout meal, and still get a good workout. Time management bro. :)
