He gave a very interesting insight, when he lifts, he uses every fibre in his body. A key to being strong could be the ability to efficiently recruit the most fibres in concert to direct all that energy to a lift. It's obvious but an underappreciated fundamental.
Magnus should try to invite Hissy onto his show to test his strength. He's incredibly strong. I'd like to see how he compares to Hercules in terms of strength. This is so cool how he psyches himself up to do the sets. He has a full push mentality plus the mouth guards
I have NEVER heard the deadlift que that this guy used. that is such a cool way of getting people into an efficient stance.
That stance just looks like its gonna be a problem for the back after hitting 50 years old
@@thesleapingend2634 in what way? magnus' stance was not the reason his form is terrible lol
@@BrumbleJumble what? Yes it is the stance that is wrong. Just watch actual powerlifters and take it from the powerlifter that wrote this comment. Your back should be lower for an optimal lift, to not injure yourself and put out maximum power
@ his stance was fine his form was terrible
Magnus, In some podcast, you said that you want to be like a friend to the audience. And it works. Right now it is dark times in Russia, but I hope that one day you will be able to come to the North Wall climbing gym in St. Petersburg and done 9a route with Anton Fomenko or Vadim Timonov for example =). Lykke til og god helg!
hoping for better times in Russia
Yes, I would also request Tengu’s in Moscow!
Even darker times in Ukraine tho
Palestine needs help too.
Maybe don't genocide a country. Get out and protest.
Ben Galper is awesome! Did not expect this collab
When I was on deployment in 2015 we had a Lt Colonel who was probably late 40s early 50s or so who would do weighted pull ups with 3 45 lbs plates for reps... I thought it was nuts then and seeing these strong ass dudes do it makes me think it was even crazier.
So cool to see you guys at my gym with all the equipment I use. No way I could lift that much though. Thanks for leaving the smelling salts. I used them Monday.
Man, I don't live far from there and need to get up the hill and check TTH out. Looks like an incredibly fun place to train.
Carl Myerscough certed on the GHP 10 (only person to ever do it) rated 258 RGC. For reference a CoC #4 average rating is about 213 RGC, the #1 at 72 RGC, the #2 at 100 RGC and the #3 at 150 RGC to give you an idea how much stronger his grip is (in crushing)
I don't think any of those grippers are accurate. All hooey. Use a hand dynamometer.
@@ChessMasterNate The ratings for CoC were basically a guy closing them and saying "it feels like x". RGC is done by putting the gripper in a clamp then attaching a 1 inch wide strap at the end of the handles and adding weight until it closes
@@ChessMasterNateThey are actually pretty accurate. If they are rated with a machine as some are then they are 100% accurate.
I have to say one of the most amazing feats of strength I've seen was when Magnus almost rowed as much weight as Eddie Hall while being half his size.🤯
When the strongest men in the world are the nicest men in the world, the most terrible men in the world look even weaker.
Brilliantly put.
Cool that he mentioned Carl Myerscough. That epic giant is strangely rarely mentioned in the popular grip/strength/armwrestling videos where they usually talk about all the scary big strong dudes.
The toughest and hardest guys are always The most humble. A Great guy
A collaboration with Anatoly (Vladimir) would be awesome 🤩
This is the collab we need
Anatoly, Magnus and Ben utterly humiliating huge gym bros would be one hell of a video
This mood in here is perfect!
never heard magnus so flat/deflated and not interested, especially for something to close to his expertise. dont think his voice changed pitch 1 time through this video lol
Ben galper legend, been following him a while and he’s constantly having to battle off the haters to prove he is real. He brushes them off
Magnus love this collab it was so cool. I would love to see one with Lean Beef Patty. She is so strong and such an inspirational woman in the fitness space. I would love to see you collab. Plus she is super funny!
It's good to see such a nice, humble guy. May you continue to inspire many throughout your life 👊🏽
Fuck yes its about time someone gave Ben the recognition past random grip strength ytube shorts 💪👏
Tbf he looks strong as shit
I think he might not even be enhanced
@@TimmyTurner421LOL
He doesn't look enhanced. Looks small in the traps if he's enhanced
@@TimmyTurner421 I agree, just an extremely strong healthy bloke. You can tell his routine is more or less optimal
@@DiskoKDiskoLwhats funny dude is clearly natural
What majestic fucking being is that in the background at 14:30? It's Johnny fuckin' Bravo!
LMAO damnn good catch on the black Johny Bravo
Jerome Bravo
@@cod-the-creator xD
wtf is that haha
Looks like he has an actual raven on top of his head
Such a chill dude full of smiles.
you guys are so normal, modest and chill, best YT content! No yelling and screaming (hallo USA), no theatrics. Nice (not annoying) background music. Very entertaining!
Just bros that climb rocks lifting some rocks
Noticed its the Training Hall, Odd Haugen's gym. Makes sense this guy has crazy grip, Odd is like the godfather of grip feats and training guys to be strong, Martins Licis who won worlds strongest man a few years back got his start in strongman under Odd.
Yeah, I think Martins should have continued at Training Hall, he seemed to lose focus after leaving.
@@rhuarcaran3427he suffered a hip injury from lifting heavy and then he was hit by a car on his bicycle. he has had his challenges.
2:33 we don't know his name, yet Magnus calls him "Ben"???
Oof
He's Alien X. He still holding back his true power. Magnus stated he was strongest man in earth who can reset timeline if he want
I make this just for fun 😅
@@xsonteguhwhy you talk like cave man
“Well I guess it’s a video of you dropping it.” Bro I was dying!! 🤣
Crazy how simple and natural this guy is
Magnus found a beast
Got to see this guy climb
Magnus probably has 20 videos with "strongest man in the world" title referring to different people
And we watched them. So it worked. Lol
Amazing strength from the both of you. It’s always impressive seeing the “normal” looking guys lift heavy.
I love it how pound for pound power is more respected lately, as it has always been my thing.
His explanation on how to find the stance was nice.
Suddenly ANATOLY: "Can I clean here? Why you using fake weights?"
exactly, i think about him there :D
Anatoly wouldn't do shit here. Most movements need a ton of grip strength. Those fat barbells are way too difficult to pickup than you think
Damn this guy is freakishly strong
I keep watching this video over and over because i love it so much. Keep it up magnus!
He gave a very interesting insight, when he lifts, he uses every fibre in his body. A key to being strong could be the ability to efficiently recruit the most fibres in concert to direct all that energy to a lift. It's obvious but an underappreciated fundamental.
13:55 "i think your technique sucks man", ahaha classic european bluntness
Collab with Janja Garnbret!
At 4:50, is he referring to a literal word's strongest man Oleksii Novikov, lol
amazing feats of strength from both men. I was taken aback. well done
Wauw you guys have such calm and humble energy.. Strength is only one thing but mind and soul is so much more. Beautiful
A climbing video with him is needed
Magnus should try to invite Hissy onto his show to test his strength. He's incredibly strong. I'd like to see how he compares to Hercules in terms of strength. He's lean and not muscular but his strength is off the charts. Some of these guys have extraordinary power. Even Son Hanma is so impressive he can do 178kg weighted dips.
Hanma ...
That's a very strong guy but lies on the other side of the spectrum trying to compare to average guys to show off and impress and never saw him in any competition. Ben is humble and have won many competitions and 15 world records of strength 🤷
Nice, magnus uploaded
is anyone else impressed with how kind and down to earth this guy is on top of his feats of strength?
"if u can't clim the mountain LIFT THE DAMN MOUNTAIN"
I need a Magnus & Martins crossover plz
Magnus did a video with him last year
Atta boy Magnus
13:16 Yeah, just casually re-adjusting 200 kg, eh ...
I was going to comment the very same thing, FOH with that casualness 😂😂
@@Al.j.Vasquez A real "showing who's boss" moment 😆
That was pretty fucking wild. Holy Shit.
This guy is insanely strong for his size.
