I love the Bull Moose sense of humor. He is very friendly and affable; he stays civil even when working out with a ton of weight! Moose that is incredible.

Will, for a quick conversion from kg to lbs, just multiply by 2 and then add 10%. 40 kg -> 80 -> 88 lbs 50 kg -> 100 -> 110 lbs and so on. You can also do it the other way around like this, although it is less accurate 110 lbs -> 55 -> 49.5 kg 88 lbs -> 44 -> 39.6 It's close enough for most applications and easy to do.

Mitchell is about the be one of the craziest strongmen ever. He doesnt look as big as many strongmen but yet is the strongest . He is also young and has so much room for improvement
I think our perception is a bit flawed since we had a decade of mass monsters. There have always been "smaller" winners: Novikov, Licis, Pudz, Ahola. Always depends on the strongman style they implement. The 2010s have been really really heavy

@merluzo8269No… Shaw Classic is a heavy competition, but it is Brian’s favorite events or inventions usually. WSM has more name recognition. The Shaw Classic will be a top 3 event in the sport, but it will only ever be equal to the Arnold Classic, not quite WSM.
Hey Will I just wanted to say thank you man. For the longest I tried hitting the gym consistently and making the changes. Your videos have made it easier to go. It’s been fun watching you while I’m working out hitting some of the workouts you’re doing. While not necessarily at the same weight lol. Just wanted to say thank you and tell you I’m down almost 65 pounds in the last 4 months.
Mitchell and Trey are great examples of new blood in the circuit. With Thor, Zydrunas, Eddie, and soon Brian making their exits, it's great to see these other guys stepping up and performing.

@Liam Engram giants is not any heavier than wsm. Usually people say the arnolds is the heaviest show, but it wasnt even that crazy this year. Shaw classic is pretty heavy, but Mitch was 3rd at the shaw classic mainly due to a poor preformance on the bag toss, not exactly a heavyweight event

Mitchell's comments here actually made me feel...both super good about myself and ignorant in the best way. Dude is the world's strongest man, but is also highly educated (clearly) and the way he's able to so confidently analyze these lifts was refreshing. We so often see anecdotal evidence, "man up" style trainers, or simple well-meaning positivity that to see such a person who lives AND studies the forefront of physiological sciences providing commentary on another persons' capabilities, efficiency, etc...damn, that was exactly what I needed to see. Don't get it twisted. I need my buds cheering me on to give me the boost necessary to hit some of my lifts...but I also need someone there explaining how their cheers cause my adrenal glands to produce more [science name] enzymes allowing my muscles to intake more water or some such. It's nice that Goku can shout his way to being a super saiyan, but at the end of the day I know I have limitations build on physiological facts, and knowing what those are will make me stronger and...y'know...keep me from blowing out my ACL or something.

It's because WSM as a whole has gotten less static. The heavier shows like Giants and The Shaw Classic still tend to favor the guys pushing 400.
