- Bungie confirmed yesterday with the Final Shape trailer and showcase, that Guardians will in fact visit a new realm inside the Traveler itself. The Witness’ portal leads here, to a place of beauty and destruction. Shaped by whoever resides within, you will see many different types of architecture. From creations shaped by our memory like the D1 Tower, to strange frozen statues constructed by the witness. Today we are going to further discuss what we know about the inside of the Traveler and the new location we’ll be heading to in the Final Shape expansion.

ERIS MORN THE HIVE GOD OF VENGEANCE!: ua-cam.com/video/bmGvZaIG3s8/v-deo.html
Think of the mind as a place like a map, shaped by the details around it and then think of a greater mind that is so evolved that it looks like a reality within a reality. It houses physical simulations like reality but also like a memory. The shapes combined and mixed like a big bang within a creation. Maybe the traveler isnt evolved enough to create and thats what the veil is, its evolutional counterpart.
Fun fact: The witness raid might be an 8-player rais. Because in the final shape trailer you can see 7 guardians step forward after an 8th guardian held up his axe! 😮
Traveler is basically a giant backup memory drive for the universe.
Think of the traveler as a HDD and the witness is a big magnet
@@TwoC4sXD
This is actually the veil which is an object of darkness. The whole point of the light is control of physical matter.
That would make the witness just a guy wiping the hard drive lol
@@spider_strand The Witness just want some juicy 18 plus content inside the traveler. Unfortunately, it was denied by the Traveler initially.
I'm predicting the being who is the Traveler's pilot/avatar may actually be Cayde. Either disguised as him, or sort of sharing a body and power with him.
To hide from both The Witness and helping in a form familiar to us.
Nah bro... Cayde is just a walking memory coming to help us. The Traveler or the being behind light and dark might be "her" The women from inside.
The Traveler's pilot could be among us, utilizing a name that is synonymous with The Traveler.
@@joshhusted6615AMONG US
I at first thought of the Drifter, but the Drifter just... drifts, and goes.
But the Traveler has a destination in mind.
@@dystopia72 Drifter is synonymous with Traveler, and he seems to have had a goal. Dregen Hope helped watch over the Iron Lords and such.
I think the pale heart is the virtual memory storage of the Traveler, a database of all the evolutionary materials the Traveler has used to elevate the various worlds its visited to bring them to their golden age - which makes sense why the Witness would want access to it in order to undo it all for the final shape.
perhaps the veil and traveler were at one point together to create a perfect realm within the traveler. Regulated buy the mind based powers of the veil to shape the traveler’s interior to a true place of bliss, a heaven in a sense. One where all departed souls could rest. However the witness wants to force this unison again to make its own perfect world. The issue with this, is that the witness’s idea of perfection is different from the perfection that once was, so this pains the traveler and is probably why the traveler refused to make a link back when the witness’s species first attempted to combine the traveler and veil together.
i want speaker to come back as the form of the travler like the darkness showed up at the end of the shadowkeep DLC
Imagine traversing the traveler, seeing all these places we've been... then suddenly not. Not very witnessy, but at the same time not from our guardian, but from our ghost.
A latent memory of our Ghost before it left the traveler, a memory of the winnower.
The ghost freaks out, that would be awesome!
Last time I was this early my girl was very disappointed
I wonder if the damage on the bottom of the traveler matches to the "roots" of the veil. Maybe that ripping apart caused it
Before the collapse, we can see in several instances where the Traveler was fully intact without the damage. I’m still not sure what caused the damage, and I don’t think we’re ever told or suggested a specific cause. It would be strange to me though if it were the Witness who damaged the Traveler though, seeing how its goals didn’t involve brutally killing the Traveler
Forget about the Shard of the traveler in the EDZ?
Rasputin shot down the Traveler Once During the Great Collapse
@@GamingStar95Rasputin had plans to shoot down the traveler but never did. It was a myth.
Before D2 released, during the D2 announcement trailer there was actually footage of guardians (6 of them) running through the old tower, specially the hall of guardians, and it looked very similar to screenshots and footage we got recently. I wonder if the idea of going inside has been around since the very beginning.
if you google destiny 1 concept art there was drawing of us inside the traveler but it didnt look like this it showed circuit boards like it was machine . So they always had ideas of us going in just not sure if they always planned for it to happen in the end or not
This Channel is very underrated ❤
Honestly, when I listened to the veil containment records, it felt like an absolute horror fever dream from Esi's perspective
6 smaller suns the subclasses? (Red one too #3) 4:10
I wonder what the Witness is doing in the Pale Heart, right now? Is he just floating around seeing the sights?
The inside of the traveler has an odd resemblance to the black garden. At the center is an old tree stump in the traveler it’s a monolith 🤔
We are stuck in a loop. The Vex showed us the future in D1.
Damn.. The Traveler is basically Mata Nui from BIONICLE. As a fan of both, I can highly appreciate the similarities
In a time before time, on the mysterious island of mata nui.
"The Traveler's power runs parallel to the forces of nature. Gravity (void), magnetism (arc), sound (new subclass?), light (solar)."
it would be cool if the witnesses weakness was sound 🤣
I heard somewhere devs had concept of Poison or Sound subclass but released Strand instead, so maybe Sound is still an option?
Hmm Resonance relates to sound. It's long been talked about as a possible subclass
Is it? I don't remember that part, but what if Red Subclass is - Sound, and Yellow subclass is - Resonance...@@Solaris-mp3eq
Gravity isn't a force
What if the Traveller acts like a Ghost for the entirety of the universe? It preserves memories of life and the worlds they inhabit so if those things are lost they could be brought back through the Traveller. Maybe thats why the Ghosts are a bit dark and light. Theyre able to create matter, but in order to be able to recreate a life they had to be inbued with darkness in some way.
Also i am still waiting on a resonance based subclass which will make 3 light and 3 dark subclasses. In terms of story, itd be interesting to see what happens to all the resonant energy that feeds The Black Fleet after we defeat The Witness. I think itll also balance out the natural forces depicted by these subclasses. Solar represents the expenditure of energy, depicted in the fusion that occurs inside suns. Solars opposite is Stasis, which is depicted as heatdeath, the absense of energy. Void is a loose concept that empty space can always be filled, its not right to liken it to gravity because gravity has proven to be a power of the Deep before. Its also not right to liken it to The Void that is referenced to house many horrible creatures in the Destiny universe. I believe it is meant to depict the very idea that an empty box can be filled with items, just like a barren planet can be a perfect candidate for the Travellers gifts. You cannot take from a void, but you can give to it. To me, Arc is a depiction of life and its volatile nature. Electricity is not an extremely common natural occurance, so i likened it to the travellers representation of life itself. The two forms of naturally occurring electrical fields i can think of are planetary and in the neurons inside brains. In Destiny, its reinforced that Gaiaforms might be a thing, which would further support the idea that arc represents life itself. In the end, it doesnt really help us determine anything about the subclasses. But to me, it has always seemed that Bungie wanted to implement subclasses that were loose reflections of each other. The entire lore behind Stasis really secured that for me. It was ridiculously on nose for them to liken Solar to the fusion inside stars then to relate Stasis to heatdeath.
Dude you freaking rock! Thanks for keeping us up to date on the Lore!
Currently binging through you content to while binge-playing D2 in order to catch up for multiple years i missed out. Cya in your newer videos
Years ago I had always speculated that the light and dark where together. It would make sense, light can luminate but still create shadows.
Sick video as always. Very underrated lore channel.
the pale heart is peak environment design its beautiful
I feel the lore entry of the garden progeny scout rifle from curse of Osiris is very relevant to what’s currently happening as I always suspected it was referring to the light & the darkness but now it seems we finally have confirmation. I wonder if that entry can offer us new clues now we have the context of what we’ve recently discovered. Hope this helps!
You don’t waste time😂 Props! Keep ‘em coming!
Eva levitate is the entity inside the traveler. Only shes no inside clearly.
Maybe our (the guardian) memories are copied to shape the interior if the traveller bc it's OUR ghost who did the link with the veil
I can see the Veil and the Traveler come together by the end ofThe Final Shape bringing balance becoming equals or another is we may have to sacrifice the Traveler i which stops the Witness from succeeding.
I *hate* getting nostalgia baited back to the series.. It only worked once so far, but I keep having this returning desire to at least come back for the final chapter.
Inside the Travler smells like vanilla? As in vanilla Destiny 1 tower.
I see you, Finchurch.
If the traveler and veil were connected together and one and the witness's species found it apart, then what seperated them?
Interesting, I don’t think I’ve heard that dialogue from Immaru yet…or I just missed it.
Traveller's former pilot was actually The Speaker now that would be funny. Or if it turns out he was actually important in some way lmao
My attention is always drawn to the figures incorporated into the tree of silver wings (15:43 - 15:57; 15:53 is best angle). They look like Hive.
One of the biggest questions I have had is that where did the traveler and veil come from? did they get created at the moment of the big bang or much later when planets started forming?
I'm wondering based on what immaru said if he becomes the "speaker" or something like that.
What if the Pale Heart is the key? Cause it sounds like the pale heart is the key that is the one thing that links the Traveler to ghost and guardians, but it could also be the missing link of what shapes the universe in the correct way. It'll be like a source point which is then fired throul the Veil in order to create what the holder is wanting to create. If The Witness is saying "Your Pale Heart is the key", it would make sense why the veil and traveler are alike. I speculate that The Witness needs the Pale Heart in order to become what it sought after when it's species first encounter the Traveler, they wanted a higher understanding of things, they searched for the second haft of could make it possible, The Veil, the Traveler realized that the species found what they can use to make their possibly a reality, and the Traveler fled with the key, The Pale Heart. The realm inside the Traveler home to the Pale Heart and possibly, a guardian inside protecting it. When veil's beam shot through the Traveler, it caused the guardian inside the Traveler to take the Pale Heart and flee to a secure area within the Traveler, even though the Witness may have the power to shape haft of the realm within the Traveler, it doesn't have The Pale Heart to shape all of it, something tells me that Cade 6 maybe more important than Bungie is telling, what if the Pale Heart is within Cade 6?
Maybe cayde is ikoas nightmare munchinsd in season of the hunted that we never actually seen but read about and because of her entering the traveler has taken form as a solid version of him
The black garden is inside the traveler
I was thinking the same thing during the livestream. That would be nuts
Does the Pale Heart resemble (in some fashion) the Tree of Silver Wings?
now that you mention it, yes.
Same material fs, not sure about design tho
the tower of babylon, interesting
I hope in some way, Riven plays a role in aiding us.
The cutting up of the land looks exactly as it does on the Vexformed surface of Nessus. Also, all of the arms and the faces screaming in pain, what if that is the manifestation of those people trapped in the Witness?
They aren’t trapped, an entire civilization _willingly_ joined to form the Witness, which is why he has those faces in that smoke
@@cheesebiscuitanimations3645 i wager that there wasn’t a 100% consensus of all the ppl of the witness’ species, and that some were indeed forced to join as one
The Akashik Revelation is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
they always show the traveler sitting inside the tree/branches of the veil. would it make more sense for it to sit inside that little pocket of the veil
the traveller is the sum of all memory, the totality itself, the akashic record. the Traveller is a being that when awake creates and when it sleeps it gathers and grows in strength. as we know this is not the first incarnation of reality, there have been many gardens, and many final shapes, the inside is pure creation and is shaped by the memory of all shapes that were, have yet, and currently exists. However within that memory is the darkness, something that transcends causality, it is the witness, a darkness born from the final shape not yet made until the lightfall but yet in the shadows has been with the traveller since the beginning.
So the traveller's inside is the forge of creation, but since there is a memory of the witness reality is doomed to repeat in lightfall, end in darkness, and the traveller seeks to purge that nightmare within its dreams. So one day it may create without the fear of the witness's final shape. The traveller is stuck in a paracausal loop, doomed to forever live, dream, and die as the witness has poisoned the akhashic record leaving the darkness to exists no matter how many times the traveller starts over.
Duality…. Destiny is filled with of esoteric theories. Sacred geometry
Maybe whatever is at the center of Traveler is a Raid Boss
A pondering thought about the traveler and the Veil both being united at one point as possible consider the beings of both light and dark when the two are combined they creating a being however I find it hard to see both of the Veil and the traveler being one while the traveler is massive the Veil not as much
I was thinking that the Black Garden itself is a Vex Sol Divisive failed attempt to create the Traveler, or rather it's interior.
The Witness was hunting the Traveler and the Veil across the universe. During the collapse on Earth, the Traveler "sacrificed" itself to save humanity. The witness and the Black Fleet left the system with the bitter taste of failure, but they always pursued the Final shape.
The veil and the Traveler are essentially paracausal machines, something that could theoretically be recreated.
With the Witness's knowledge and the Vex's technological aptitude, they made the Black Garden, an attempt at replicating everything the Witness needs to reshape the Universe to their "salvation".
Think they'll come across The Speaker in there?
My friends said my crazy ideas were overthinking. I call this at seraph or lightfall
If you look closely it looks like an image of something in the silver tree like thing 11:36
I'm thinking the witness will kick a sentient being out from the traveler. With its own form and now hides within the system. Maybe.
With the Witness -- wielder of Darkness, the domain of Thought -- residing inside the Traveler -- realm of the physical: all those scenes of beings trapped, seemingly in pain, I wonder if they are the collective consciousnesses of the Witness affecting the physical realm. I believe we theorized previously that not all of the souls within the Witness were necessarily willing adherents, and I wonder that the trapped souls that comprise the Witness are unconsciously affecting the realm while he is consciously trying to affect the Heart.
Has it crossed anyone else's thoughts that if the Witness (or someone else) were too gainnaccess to that giant Hive ship that it could then use that special ability too enter the Traveler, and become OP whilst inside ? (The ship that I can't recall the name of, but has a special pocket dimension ability), and am wondering if that's what the Witness had meant when telling his underling of "you knownwhst needs to be done" 🤔🤔
Doesn’t it canonically smell like strawberries? Or was that literally inside the traveler?
Traveler is basically a usb stick on steroids
What stood out is that our guardians have our ghosts, while Ikora, Cayde and the other guardians do not.
Then does that mean they're dead also?
They do they just don’t show em.
The red war's first cutscene has all 3 vanguard leaders with their respective ghosts. You see a guardian with his ghost being sliced by the witness. In season of the hunt you see glint and crow saving osiris. Many times during the curse of osiris, you see him with his ghost sagira. In the witch queen reveal you see a fireteam of guardians who are in savathun's throne world with their ghosts as they look around. Its not hard to see that other guardians have ghosts too.
"It's not that deep.." Immaru 2023
When a guardian dies and then revived, do they retain the same consciousness or are memories just copied?
So they confirmed how cayde is back without saying it. How the inside of traveler is forged to the memories of those who reside inside? Well cayde is a memory.
Is it just me or in the "pale heart" image was there a hive like figure in the branches
Well, the Hive were meant to be the original chosen for the Traveler. Moths, attracted to the Light and it's might, facing the Darkness and calamity brought by the Witness.
@@lonewolfhero3526 that's a valid point tbh. I forgot about that
15:48 bro whats that music i NEED it plssssssssssssss
That emoji was funny
I actually starting to wonder if this Cayde is actually the real one and not someone or something in his image.
Maybe the monolith (the center of the traveller) is the source of our light powers?
Im pretty sure they said the witness built it
Whatever the pale heart is I believe the witness constructed that mausoleum directly on top of it and is doing God knows what
Why does the hearth have a statue of hive?
Honestly I think this is really going to end up being destiny’s version of an afterlife especially with the use of “souls” when describing the inside of the traveler. I mean destiny has to have some version of an afterlife at this point it is dancing around the idea of strand being a “web of consciousness” and “river of souls” very on the nose. Personally I think that it’s basically confirmed the traveler is that “afterlife” considering that cayde is able to be brought back it’s just a question of how
God bless everyone and have a good day ❤️
Maybe the veil and the traveller were lovers and like all lovers they just simply broke up maybe. They need to be back together in order to truly heal the traveller and. Restore all the memories to the Guardians.
Where is the nine?
i dont think that tree thing you kept showing is the pale heart. it doesnt looks significant enough.
That's the Tree of Silver Wings
i know that. its just that how he frames it in the video makes it seem thats what HE thinks@@JBinFL
Random prediction: Ghost will become the new traveler and must leave our side, but it creates a copy of itself to serve the same function.
If there's just been a 12 foot tall space waifu inside the traveler this entire time I will not be happy
6ft tall space tomboy gf, take it or leave it.
No hate to byf or mylien. I love your voice. Perfect. But I feel like your attention to everything and how you tell will be amazing.
10:45 The traveler is in pain, and who's trying to help? "DookieBootyFartWater"😂
Watch we pull a mortal kombat and reset the time line at the end of this story
The Union (Mercury)
Now that I think of it, it kind of seems like the light and darkness saga was just avengers endgame and Catholicism combined.
So, it's pretty much Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
The inside of the traveler is our own throneworld.
Not really since you need to be a god or hive God to make a throne world
@@levicarpenter5509 we are. Thats why savathun is pissed with us for not taking the throne.
@@Tiamat013 that was xivu not savathun plus no we are not a hive God it's just hive tradition to take the throne of a king that they killed, you have to be a God, hive God, or have some connection to the deep to make a throne world
Lol, from Bungie: The new expansion will feature old assets. Us: We know, Bungie. We know.
Maybe the traveler and the vail get pulled apart by a new powerful enemy then the witness that will be a possibly main antagonist and threat in the next saga
Maybe
It be funny if they didn't mention a new subclass on purpose
Its all a dream 🎉
I uninstalled d2 just after the witch queen and judging by the uniforms in this video they still haven't fired whoever makes the regular quest gear so i doubt much has changed since i left
Imma say the nine live inside the traveler
Light and Dark are two sides of the same thing. Maybe the women as the gardener is the one force the god behind all them.
Destiny 2 is Gurren Lagann
Imagine the final fight being us engaging in good ol' fisticuffs with the Witness lol.
Anyone else notice that the Pale Heart, has a strikingly similar look the the Tree of Silver Wings from the season of Arrivals?
Holy shit I completely forgot about that it does
I don't think that is the pale heart
@@levicarpenter5509 never said it was. I said they looked similar.

why do we have to wait so long
Because it needs to be finished
when you said Creation Engine it really made me think of Anthem
Man that game had so much potential😢
Lol
Evaze IS the Traveler xD
A Theory according to the new FINAL SHAPE-Location;
They said they'll open up all different Destination-Areas at a certain Point?
I hope this doesn't mean one new Map-Part every Season.
Also, the Leak about the Dreadnaught being Part of the Destination
could be true.
The traveller should be allowed to die to end the suffering of a dead game
Give me the pin of shame
The Veil + The Traveler looks like an Hourglass
In our world, when an hourglass is together, time flows. Separated, time stops.
In This game, Apart, time flows. But together, Time is frozen (inside the traveler)
i have extremely nasty feeling it's going to be same level bullshit lightfall was. full price for less than 10h worth of actual story.
