I was actually the first female to play polo at the Houston Polo Club in the 1970's. I had my own horses, knew how to play, and was invited to play there. It was fun seeing the Gstaad polo game, I can relate very well. Thank you.

My personal rule is to research about every event I am going to attend in terms of what to wear, what the ettiquette rules for such occasions are, some general history and recent updates on the event theme to be able to participate in conversation. Your videos help a lot ♥️
That's Exactly what I've always done! In the past, before internet, I would ask someone I knew who had gone to Events Abt what ppl wore or would send for Brochures with the Tickets! I also had a Travel Agent for years that advised me about Customs, What to wear, V.I.P. seating, whether Lunch or Dinner was included etc! Many times my husband has been Given Complimentary V.I.P. tickets with all the "Trimmings"😀

I've gone to a couple car shows. It depends on what kind of show you are attending. The ones I've attended are outdoors and tend to be on grass in late Spring early/mid summer. I tend to dress business casual in natural fibers . Ie with a sharp button down, light colored trouser type bermuda shorts, strappy comfortable but classic low heeled/flat sandals and a wide brimmed hat to those because you find more relaxed affluent men there. Bring a bag with business cards(like Anna said) a water bottle and sunscreen so you don't get sunburned and dehydrated.
Don't touch the cars, do ask the owner what makes it special if you have no clue and don't hover over the car longer than necessary. If you would like to take a picture beside it ask the owner first. This summer after admiring a car and taking note that it was for sale as I talked to the owner I politely declined to buy it saying I wasn't able to at the time. The owner asked me what I did and I told him interior design. I also had to politely decline after he asked if I did new construction because of my current job situation. That being said, you never know who you may meet at a car show and it helps to be polite and curious.

Knowing a little about Polo helps to start a conversation with affluent men. In general attending events with horses is beneficial if you want to meet wealthy guys , and horses are always wonderful animals to watch in my opinion. Bravo Anna for this great video 🤩
Actually not knowing much about polo but having a love for the horses will get you a conversation with the men who want to show their prowess of the sport. Listen and learn, men love to be listened to.
I have never met a wealthy man around horses and I have horse for 20 years
Can you do a video on elegant handbags since they are, as you say, perhaps the most important part of a ladies' attire? What kind of styles and sizes are appropriate for different occasions? What would be an ideal piece you can get if you want to use it in different scenarios/occasions?

Do it like Gatsby, put there nothing but your name and throw a giant party with champagne, fireworks and aquabellas. Totally worked for me, now I've got a job!
@Avidd I would include that information only if it was still applicable and relevant. For instance, if someone got a master's degree in business admin 25 years ago but is now pursuing a career as an artist, it wouldn't be helpful to waste space with the degree info. Similarly, not everyone chooses to get a formal education resulting in a degree so this info wouldn't be applicable to them, either.
Business cards, as well as calling cards (what you are referring to, and also common amongstadies who lunch as well as the retired), are considered very déclassé these days. Everyone is trying to reduce their carbon "footprint", so even when offered a card, many will take a screenshot (as there is an app for that!) Where you can then store the info into your phone, and hand the card back to the person, explaining why you are doing so.

Ritz T. Not really, try searching some looks on IG. Monochrome styles will really elevate your style; just make sure your pieces are of quality with good stitching & fit you well (not too tight). White’s/Off White’s along with pastels will also look great. Buy high fashion biannually or seasonally when they go on sale, if you really want to be stylish. You will save money this way.
I liked that outfit too. But it seemed to me like a wide pleated pants. Who knows...but very classy.
@@sanuska9 Yes, she was wearing Palazzo pants not a skirt. I think Palazzo pants looks best on women somewhat narrow hips and a flat tummy. Traits I don't have :)

The people are marvelous, with diverse interests, enjoy the outdoors, value the sport with the athletic riders and their well trained mounts, and the finer things in life. Greatly depends on where exactly you live and what kind of theater it is. Maybe you can google pictures of events that have taken place there? Like premieres/openings and such? That should give you an idea, of what people wear when they go there.

I have attended the ballet my whole life. For me, I would wear a nice outfit of pants and an elegant blouse or sweater to a matinee, and a dress to an evening performance. If it is cold, bring a pretty coat and check it at the front because theaters often do not have the room to hold/store an outer-garment at your seat. It is always best to err on the side of slight overdressing and more conservative to the ballet. Bring a small bag or clutch with you. Binoculars are very acceptable if you are seated up high. Hope that helps! Enjoy it!!!! XO
