He had a guy harvey shirt tucked into straight -leg medium blue jeans that were pulled over his boots. I said "What part of ___ county you from?" and he lit up! He was a contractor from my hometown traveling for a project, and I'd hit the nail on the head lol. He's not rich, but he has a lovely home and trucks and a successful small business. I can't get enough of this kind of level-headed country boy

That's a nice way of saying "Black men with money burning in their pockets who are willing to wine and dine you", typically, this isn't sustainable, but very helpful information for this demographic. They're starter boyfriends, I guess lol. Start there. I've "dated" (using this term super loosely) a couple men who were good for bottle service and a mani or bundles, maybe nice lingerie and an outfit or two, but the cars are always rented and theres always 50 other women on rotation. It's good for the come up I guess. They typically prefer white women anyway.
I work in finance (asset management) for 12 years now and you are spot on Anna!! In my experience they party first, and will date beautiful and flashy girls. Later they want to settle down and choose someone beautiful elegant and most important feminine!! A lot of them choose woman from countries where the women are more feminine, polished etc. They see blue and grey suits all day so if you want to impress this man wear a red or pink dress, some heels, nice nailpolish and be warm and inviting. I've seen that work time after time. It's a rough world finance, and they want someone sweet and caring to come home to that they can also take to their mom. Hope this helps you ladies

Brain Storm there are different types of finance guys like Anna said. In my experience I have seen a lot of party guys who (unfortunately) sleep around and date a lot of women in a short period of time. But there are also those more quiet, introverted guys who also are common in finance. Yes, they wear suits and look expensive when they are working but on weekends they are very laid back. They often settle for a smart and educated woman who is not flashy but attractive and classy.

As a Chinese who spent 25 years in China, what you said in the video is mostly true. Most of the rich guys in China who started from scratch would marry a woman who could help him with his business and cheat on his wife after he becomes successful. Mistresses are also very common and ofc their wives know what's going on. Divorce isn't that common in the high society due to culture and tradition values.
Similar to Morocco, divorce is not an option always because of tradition and what others will say even tho the woman is aware of the cheating husband. Usually these women are + 50 and are dependent on their husbands financially.

Thanks Anna, it is always amusing watching your videos. I am Married to the tech "rich" guy, and yes he runs around in his hoodie, Loungewear/shorts and sandals even in star restaurants and he never wears socks even in winter, where he only wears mules but never proper shoes :D it is a little embarrassing sometimes but also funny, when all the people look at him in a certain way. We live in the Golfe of Saint Tropez, where people tend to be more elegant. I tried to elevate his looks. It worked for a short period of time and now it is worse than ever, but he is very confident, comfortable and happy the way he is. I love that he does not have inferiority complex like many other men.

Speaking as someone who grew up around these nerdy tech guy types and still has friendships with several, I'd say it's simply because these guys have almost all their attention focused on their specific areas of interest, and just can't bring themselves to care about other things that much. To them, trying to be "acceptable" according to society is just a pointless waste of energy that could be spent on more interesting pursuits. They are not emotionally affected by social disapproval other than experiencing mild annoyance at the inconvenience, so they don't have the same inner "shame" mechanism that drives the rest of us to conform. Of course, the degree to which each tech guy will exhibit these traits is on a spectrum, but there are enough guys in the world toward the extreme end that the rest of society basically gave up on trying to make them conform lol. Especially since they produce so much technological innovation. That's why they get away with it!

As someone who lives in China, I am exposed to the varying affluent circles through work. The following is completely true: Married Chinese men can and will do whatever they want with no consequence. It’s well known throughout that they will stray away and cheat but always have a home base with their wife. Normally, Chinese men marry young to someone their family approves of and this woman will hold down the family and be HIS wife (spoil, keep in the public eye). However, they will still cheat and party and do whatever they like in private or with fellow men. Divorce is also seldom here

But another variation has been becoming trendy also - a man marrying and divorcing one woman after another, each time living with one for a few years and then marrying a new young one. Thus, this guy theoretically provides for all 3-5 of his wives (current and former).
Chinese men have difficulty finding a woman due to more women pursuing education and Western men instead of these self centered new rich Chinese guys. And due to the one child policy, most families aborted the female fetuses, so less women of marrying age are now available. So sad!

As a Muslim woman I personally say the religion does not forbid marriage to non-Muslim women(as long as they are Christian or Jewish) but this is often an excuse that is made. The real reason they marry their own kind is family and cultural pressures. You have some great insight overall.

I learned that his father owns a company that he is actually working for and that they were actually wealthy. But it did explain everything. However, there are some really flashy affluent people in that area, his family is more on the humble side which I loved so much. Another things is that they are very wise with how they handle their money. They may have all this money, but they still are very frugal with it.

@T Collins What I am trying to say here is that China has adopted more modern moral which shared by other culture nowadays as well -- the people who step into or break the marriage is ashamed. In the Asian history, having joy wives were legal and accepted by the official wife, but nowadays, it never got accepted by the official wife or the society, lovers can never talk about they are lovers in public, as they will be accused and ashamed by others. And there are so many cases and news like wife destroy lover's faces or beat the lover on the street, this only won't happen in old Asian history but happens now, you see the difference? And recently, the new Chinese law gives more protection to the wife that the wife can claim back all the assets and money the husband gave the lover as it is considered as couple's common assents , means, the authorities, police and court will help the wife to get assets back. So from the moral perspective and legal perspective, this behaviour is no longer accepted and there are ways to punish lovers.

I will contribute some insights to Anna's question about China's mistresses culture. I'm not Chinese, so facts may slightly differ. But around South East Asia, from China, Koreans, Japanese and VN; they are very similar in the foundation of their logic. So it goes like this, wealthy men will marry someone their family approves of, OR, a woman that is so capable, she can support his career. Whether it is her family background, her family financial power or even her family name and relations. It is rare that they'd marry just for the woman herself, and the same thing for the divorce. Unless the man himself is powerful enough to handle all the damages (direct and collaterals) as the result of divorcing his wife. Especially for another woman, he won't do it. And often time, he won't. Because there are so many interests involved, a wealthy married couple won't get a divorce. They can sleep in different bedrooms, or living in different houses - but hardly a divorce. But it does happen (and the whole world would know about it) It's different for each family, but sometimes, both the husband and the wife would have lovers. Everyone knows it, nobody acknowledges it. Live goes on. For the more traditional woman, she would not have a lover for herself, but she would just take it. As long as none of the mistresses challenged her (which happens more than you might think), and her children are the ones getting the inheritance (another story for another time). There are some men who are rich and also loves their wives very much too. But those are harder to come by then finding a needle in the haystack. LOL.

They're starter boyfriends, I guess lol. Start there. I've "dated" (using this term super loosely) a couple men who were good for bottle service and a mani or bundles, maybe nice lingerie and an outfit or two, but the cars are always rented and theres always 50 other women on rotation. I work in finance (asset management) for 12 years now and you are spot on Anna!! In my experience they party first, and will date beautiful and flashy girls. Later they want to settle down and choose someone beautiful elegant and most important feminine!! A lot of them choose woman from countries where the women are more feminine, polished etc. They see blue and grey suits all day so if you want to impress this man wear a red or pink dress, some heels, nice nailpolish and be warm and inviting. Brain Storm there are different types of finance guys like Anna said. In my experience I have seen a lot of party guys who (unfortunately) sleep around and date a lot of women in a short period of time. But there are also those more quiet, introverted guys who also are common in finance. Yes, they wear suits and look expensive when they are working but on weekends they are very laid back. They often settle for a smart and educated woman who is not flashy but attractive and classy.

As a Chinese who spent 25 years in China, what you said in the video is mostly true. Most of the rich guys in China who started from scratch would marry a woman who could help him with his business and cheat on his wife after he becomes successful. Mistresses are also very common and ofc their wives know what's going on. Divorce isn't that common in the high society due to culture and tradition values.

I am Married to the tech "rich" guy, and yes he runs around in his hoodie, Loungewear/shorts and sandals even in star restaurants and he never wears socks even in winter, where he only wears mules but never proper shoes :D it is a little embarrassing sometimes but also funny, when all the people look at him in a certain way. We live in the Golfe of Saint Tropez, where people tend to be more elegant. I tried to elevate his looks. It worked for a short period of time and now it is worse than ever, but he is very confident, comfortable and happy the way he is. Speaking as someone who grew up around these nerdy tech guy types and still has friendships with several, I'd say it's simply because these guys have almost all their attention focused on their specific areas of interest, and just can't bring themselves to care about other things that much. To them, trying to be "acceptable" according to society is just a pointless waste of energy that could be spent on more interesting pursuits. They are not emotionally affected by social disapproval other than experiencing mild annoyance at the inconvenience, so they don't have the same inner "shame" mechanism that drives the rest of us to conform.
Of course, the degree to which each tech guy will exhibit these traits is on a spectrum, but there are enough guys in the world toward the extreme end that the rest of society basically gave up on trying to make them conform lol. Especially since they produce so much technological innovation. That's why they get away with it!

As someone who lives in China, I am exposed to the varying affluent circles through work. The following is completely true: Married Chinese men can and will do whatever they want with no consequence. It’s well known throughout that they will stray away and cheat but always have a home base with their wife.
Normally, Chinese men marry young to someone their family approves of and this woman will hold down the family and be HIS wife (spoil, keep in the public eye). However, they will still cheat and party and do whatever they like in private or with fellow men.

But another variation has been becoming trendy also - a man marrying and divorcing one woman after another, each time living with one for a few years and then marrying a new young one. Thus, this guy theoretically provides for all 3-5 of his wives (current and former).
Chinese men have difficulty finding a woman due to more women pursuing education and Western men instead of these self centered new rich Chinese guys. And due to the one child policy, most families aborted the female fetuses, so less women of marrying age are now available. So sad!

@T Collins What I am trying to say here is that China has adopted more modern moral which shared by other culture nowadays as well -- the people who step into or break the marriage is ashamed. In the Asian history, having joy wives were legal and accepted by the official wife, but nowadays, it never got accepted by the official wife or the society, lovers can never talk about they are lovers in public, as they will be accused and ashamed by others. And there are so many cases and news like wife destroy lover's faces or beat the lover on the street, this only won't happen in old Asian history but happens now, you see the difference? And recently, the new Chinese law gives more protection to the wife that the wife can claim back all the assets and money the husband gave the lover as it is considered as couple's common assents , means, the authorities, police and court will help the wife to get assets back. So from the moral perspective and legal perspective, this behaviour is no longer accepted and there are ways to punish lovers.
I won't comment on your other words, only your last setence made me laugh. "Chinese men are very generous." They are generous only to mistresses, because they know they are buying sex from them. Most of them are not generous at all to their employees, to strangers or to those who really need help.

I love this kind of stuff, trying to figure people out. My husband and I were at a party the other night with rich tech guys and I was fascinated by their dates/wives. So many don't seem to match looks-wise. It was very interesting. I could tell the dates who were significantly better looking had wandering eyes and I saw them even just blatantly flirt with better looking men. It's a lot of Asian nationalities so it was an interesting party for people watching anyway lol!

You know what, I love how transparent you are. This is what everyone needs. They need someone that is going to be honest about things like this. I will contribute some insights to Anna's question about China's mistresses culture. I'm not Chinese, so facts may slightly differ. But around South East Asia, from China, Koreans, Japanese and VN; they are very similar in the foundation of their logic.
So it goes like this, wealthy men will marry someone their family approves of, OR, a woman that is so capable, she can support his career. Whether it is her family background, her family financial power or even her family name and relations.
It is rare that they'd marry just for the woman herself, and the same thing for the divorce. Unless the man himself is powerful enough to handle all the damages (direct and collaterals) as the result of divorcing his wife. Especially for another woman, he won't do it. And often time, he won't. Because there are so many interests involved, a wealthy married couple won't get a divorce. They can sleep in different bedrooms, or living in different houses - but hardly a divorce. But it does happen (and the whole world would know about it)
It's different for each family, but sometimes, both the husband and the wife would have lovers. Everyone knows it, nobody acknowledges it. Live goes on. For the more traditional woman, she would not have a lover for herself, but she would just take it. As long as none of the mistresses challenged her (which happens more than you might think), and her children are the ones getting the inheritance (another story for another time).
There are some men who are rich and also loves their wives very much too. But those are harder to come by then finding a needle in the haystack. LOL.

While I can understand why some women might want to pursue a life among "high society," I'm beginning to think it's much more important to develop an elegant nature for ourselves and see where that will take us in life. Unfortunately, I think many these rich men are full of themselves and will cheat on his wife with the other beautiful women that are often so available to him. Yes, it's nice to sort of nice to dream of the high life, but marriage is sort of an end-goal for me and a lot of the rich guys seem to be nothing more than playboys.
